I was going out on a walk i the woods because I couldnt get to sleep. I went to a cow pasture that I like to visit. There were not any cows out.

the cows go in at night. i laid down and was looking at the stars. i couldnt see any stars directly above me in the shape of a cross.

there was just black. this is all i remember before wakeing up in my own bed!.

I had a triangle on my arm unaware of what and how this may have happened. I awoke that morning and had an reversed triangle on my upper left arm unaware of how that came to be, this is not the first time I have had strange and anamoulus marks on my body.

Chevron shaped object, alternating dark/white pattern, 10 sec duration, moderate speed, disappeared. Sun had just set. Just left a store, turning in parking lot, looked at water tower, saw object.

Direction NE, Angle from horizon about 45 deg., object traveling east, trajectory about -20 deg from the horizontal. Traveled in straight line, moderate speed, completely disappeared after about 10 sec - instantly, no fade.

Weather: low 40's F, completely clear - not a cloud, just after sunset - sky still had enough light to drive without lights. Object description: a flying 90 deg angle (chevron?), at first thought it was a flock of geese, then realized it was either one object with alternating dark and light areas or was a very tight formation of dark (square shaped) objects that moved as one. No contrail.

This is the first time I have ever seen a "UFO". This thing was really strange - it kind of disturbed me.

Strange lights that hovered then moved rapidly, then stopped and moved rapidly again over great distances. It started out as two lights above each other off in the distance just above the tree line. Then the lights moved very quickly in different directions.

At first they looked like stars, but when they started moving very rapidly and stoping on a dime it made me and my friend realize that this was something really weird, almost scary. Then the lights became three lights, moving in all sorts of directions in almost a pattern like. Then they moved very quickly and rapidly across the sky.

After that we struggled to find a video camera. We ruturn to see the lights moving still accross the sky in different directions and stopping on a dime again. It was like they were hovering, ten moving, then hovering then moving again.

Then the lights disapeared. We then saw at least a dozen military jets converging on the area from three difernt directions. My companion thought they were travelling from the direction of various military bases in the area.

Close view of stationary disk, top and side visible, prior to rapid its acceleration and departure my 8yr old son was standing outside in our driveway waiting for me to leave to go to school. He was out there for a few minutes, 3-5 minutes before I came out. As I came out I could hear a the sound of humming like a jet engine.

I stepped off my porch onto the driveway and heard a loud close, rushing sound speed away. I looked up and saw a shape moving off over the trees. I thought it must have been a fighter jet.

When I heard the sound my son said, " Mom did you see that plane?", I said, "well, I heard it". He said, "It was weird 'cause it was round". I said oh, did you see it?.

Reply " Yeah I was watching it for a while." I said, "Did it move slowly?" Reply, "No, it was just sitting there looking at me, then it flew away." Then he said, " It had these two things sticking out the front.

" It had a red light on one side and a green one on the other." Quite non-chalantly he said, "If I see it again, I'll point to it for you" We had very low cloud cover that morning. I wondered if he saw a plane in the clouds.

I asked if he saw a fuzzy shape in the clouds but he insisted it was a clear large shape under the clouds. It could not have been more than 300 ft up. He drew me a picture of it.

Then he drew another one and I helped him to label it.

Brightly lit fireball blazed through southern sky. While looking in the southern sky a blueish fireball streaked from 78 degrees to about 45 degrees about an arms length from beginning to end. Very bright lit up bedroom.

Observer was 36 yr old white female, 3 1/2 yr old white female. It was so bright it scared both of them.

Triangular craft with five large round lights on underbelly - silent, slow and low flying Large, almost equilateral triangular craft; Five very large, round white lights on underbelly in logical formation (one at nose, two under each "wing"); slow, low and flying in SW direction over Friendly Shopping Center in Greensboro, NC. No red/green oncoming lights, no white tail light. No noise whatsoever.

Very low and totally silent. My description is virtually identical to the 11/29/00 siting in Sherwood, OR. No strobes or flashes.

I contacted air traffic control - no radar for that part of the town at that low altitude. Military? How do I connect with readers who may have seen a UFO I (along with 12 others) sited in Yosemite in October of 1982? It was a blue saucer that cruised in and hoovered on the south side (unfamous side) of Half Dome for an hour then flew off as the same way it cruised in - zig zags and bursts of speed instantaneously.

It landed and hovered then disappeared. They hovered up into the air and then landed- there was a strange light near those objects- they gave me a shiver they were whitish-yellow and had red marks perhaps for windows they were oval, but not really saucer-like. usaf traing, seen lights and bright circle while conducting training as a us af security police duties at indian springs i witness some things later in my career to find out its normal operations. Around 11pm mst i was training in m16 night firing facing mtns. my cadre told us we may say wierd things because of area 51 was over the other side of the mtns.

It was a wednesday night, clear skies. As we was firing we witness a bright circle of white light hover over the mtns, not moving. it came out of no where.

cadre told us to continue firing. we had tracer rounds in our weapon. a few deflected towards the object.

we was told the mtns was 14 miles from our positon. but anyways as we was firing the object appear to come to our position, at a high rate of speed, then dissapeared. later that night about 2 hrs later while traing in a dfp, i put n my nvgs and seen 5 crafts, looks like moving stars doted across the sky.

REAL.OVALW/DOME ON TOP AIRCRAFT.FLYING IN FROM OUTERSPACE TO APPROX.

4000FT.ABOVE THE GROUND.IN 3 SECONDS.

that this sighting is real.why? Because it was real.everything that I'M about to write is the truth.

I'm usually good @ getting these things pretty close.what I saw.that late autum night.

first off the object.I was sitting on my third floor apt. building, balcony.

that over looked the street/pk lot.the sky was clear except for stars.in an area of the sky were I.

just happened to be looking .a dark area of the sky between a small group of stars.a very small,faint,I could barley see, light appeared.

AS I focused my eyes on it.I noticed it was growing larger.and it seemed that it was falling straight down towards me.

the angle was just to the east of were I was.the object was coming down vertical towards the ground.its shape was fat.

oval.similar to an egg.my impression was fat like a blimp.

however.the entire craft was lite-up. tan or off white color.

it had a glow but not a bright brillant light.on top I could see.a half of a perfect circle dome.

the oval shaped bottom section 200 feet in dia.@ approx.somewhere between 4000 and 6000 feet above the ground.

this thing turned almost @ an 90 degree angle turn. and went horizontal.after the craft turned it seemed to wabool.

this is the part that you need to take note. of.I counted in my head 3 seconds from the time I started see this thing to the time it started its horizontal turn.

The object appeared to be a circular disk or cluster of lights that hovered in the sky for a minimum of 30 minutes. The object was at quite a distance, so it is difficult to describe. The "bottom" was round and covered in white lights.

With binoculars, it sort of resembled an old Gemini space capsule. There was a brighter light "on top". With the naked eye, it looked like a cluster of flashing lights, some of which were red.

However, whatever it was did not move for at least 30 min. It was a clear night and there were several stars visible and quite a few planes passing by, so it was obvious it was neither a star nor a plane. About fifteen minutes after first sighting the object, it emitted a small, circular "disk" from it, which flashed red and moved very quickly away, it a southwest direction from the main object.

We watched the object for about another 15 minutes, and then it finally started moving very, very slowly until we could no longer see it behind a line of trees. Our apt. faces north, toward Boone, NC.

Though my husband has seen a UFO before (many years ago over Atlanta, Ga.), I have not and have never believed in them. Our daughter does not believe in them either.

But I admit, this was unlike anything I have ever seen before in my life. I do not know what it was, but it was not a star, a plane, or a balloon.

I don't know what it was but it was silver going over some trees as I was leaving school. It was heading south at about 20 m.p.

report in north carolina and a similar report in south carolina I was on the phone talking to my girlfriend and i had look out the window, to see if there was something out side. and i looked up and saw a bright light i couldnt make out the object or what ever it was. but i know for a fact it seem pretty advance to travel fast and then slow down and stop then speed up and slow down again.

it stayed bright for about 30 seconds. and when it was bright it was moving pretty damn fast. and my house is positions north and it was about 4 degrees north or so.

it was around 10:40 or 11 something or so but it was heading at a fast speed and then it just disappeared. but it more of faded out like a star or something or a light dimiming or something and while it was dimming it slowed down and after that i didnt see anything else . i told my girlfriend when i was on the phone and she said that maybe the secret base near by may be doing some kind of test flight or something i didnt hear anything that night and it didnt make a sound .

there are 2 military bases near by one everyone knows and one is secret. but my mom told me that someone else had reported a bright light not to far from our house and that sighting was in 1997. and also my grand uncle had the same incident before just like what i saw and my mom told me his whole story.

but his sighting was in south carolina near manning and summerton. and when he saw the light he pulled his truck over and got out and look at it. and my mom said when he told her when the light came close it had got too close to where his truck was so he started the truck up and tryed to get to my grandpa's house and the light followed him closer and closer.

and when my granduncle made it to my grandpa's house he jump in the bushes near the porch and my grandpa came out the door and he saw the light also but it faded like a start before he could of goten a good look at it. my granduncle told my grandpa everything and my grandma thought he was lying b/c he was drunk but my grandpa saw the light but ! didnt g et a good look. my grandpa believes my granduncle b/c when every he see something he's not going to lie about it and plus when or when he ever gets drunk he talks about all the things that happens but he didnt barely drink anything at that time he wasnt even tipsy.

my mom told me every thing that happen that night and she was listening to everything. but anyway i'm 16 and i believe that theres something going on out there. next time i'm going to have a camcorder ready.

6 of us saw three bright lights appearing next to each other for about 1.5 hours, several crafts appeared to be searching for it. Six of us were on our oceanfront vacation home, and saw 3 lights appear in a line one at a time, and stayed lit for about 3 seconds, then one light would appear for a few seconds and then dissappear, then reappear hundreds of yards to the right or left seconds later.

Sometimes we could see a very dimly lit light after the bright lights went out. This went on for about 1 and a half hours, and there were people in the house behind us and a few houses down that were also watching this go on. During this a prop plane came out and flew down the coast line 15 times around the area that we saw the object.

A coast guard craft? also appeared out in the distance and moved very quickly several times down the coast. There was a fishing boat that was right underneath the object when it first started appearing, it moved very quickly out of the distance during the activity. In the sky behind us we saw 4 Military jets? moving extemeley fast, 3 had red lights and they looked like they were escorting a forth craft that was had a white light.

They quickly dissappeared into the distance. At 11:00pm was the last time we saw the bright light appear over the ocean, we estimate it maybe a half mile from our porch over the ocean. We saw nothing the next two nights.

Outer Banks is treated to spectacular "star" formations 10 balls of light resembling stars entered our field of vision around 1:00 Am EST. We had been watching quite a few "shooting stars" when a friend just stopped and said, "Oh, my God". We all looked up and saw 10 "stars" moving together West-bound coming from the Atlantic Ocean at incredible speed.

We all immediately saw them and began tracking them. they followed each other in a very tight group, and then suddenly burst into different directions. Several went below the light horizon for a while, but the others traced circular patterns in the sky.

Thinkng they might be birds reflecting light, we broke out the binoculars and the telescope that we had, and through them we saw that they were too high and far to be birds, and that they were emitting their own light, not reflecting other light. They then rejoined and "flew" southward and disappeared. 10 minutes later they reappeared in the same place that they originally entered and broke into three groups-two groups of three and one group of four.

They all traveled in a generally northern direction, but not all at the same time. after 15 more minutes of watching, only three were left visible. At 2:12 AM EST we retired for the evening having not seen them for a good 2o mibutes.

i am curious as to if any other reports were made.

Group of lighted objects at high speeds in Nags Head, NC I am a professional classical musician, and I was playing a month-long gig on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, living in Nags Head, NC. On the last night of the gig, the four other musicians that I lived with and I were on our balcony talking and looking at the stars. After a few minutes, I noticed that a group of the "stars" out over the ocean were moving.

I told my friends, and we began to watch them. Suddenly, the entire group came from a very long distance to a position directly over us. They had to have covered 20 miles in a matter of seconds, and then came to a stop.

They then split into 3 groups-3,3,1, and began swirling in circles. Then they spread out across our field of vision in the sky, and came back together suddenly. They then went back out over the ocean and came back again, then turning immediately north, and disappeared up the coastline.

We were not under the influence of any alcohol or drugs, and the neighbors in the house next door witnessed the exact same event. During their pause over us, we took out a camera with a telescopic lens, and a set of binoculars. The objects were very high up and their exact shape was indistinguishable, but they were definitely illuminated, the light was generated by them and not a reflection of some other light source.

I have played this gig once more since that time, but we were housed in a different location, and I did not see them again in the times I went out to watch. This could not have been a plane or any other normal flying machine-the speeds, sudden directional chages and lack of noise would cancel out planes.

Unidentified triangular craft hovering in a cloud at 31,000 feet from a Delta 757 moving at mach .84. For the past four months from May until Sep (now) I have been making a weekly commute from Washington D.

C.s Ronald Reagan National Airport to Atlanta Hartfield Airport. I go on Monday to Atlanta and return generally on Friday evening from Atlanta to D.

C. On July 21st at or near 18:15PM EST I was riding in first class on Delta flight 1402 (757 service) in seat 3C (window) on the right side of the aircraft. It was very cloudy most of the way and the aircraft was flying around a large thunderhead.

The aircraft was flying at 31,000 feet at around mach .84 (520Mph or so). the pilot announced this.

I was looking out the window watching the massive thunderheads roll by. I noticed a grey metallic triangular shape hovering inside a thunderhead that had a lot of lightening activity. The pilot was giving this cloud formation a relatively wide birth and the cloud formation was about 500 meters to the right of the aircraft.

It was quite bumpy and the captain issued a seatbelt warning for turbulence in the area. I kept watching the unidentified aircraft . trying to determine if it was a ballon cage, a weather balloon, or some other known aircraft.

I could not recognize what it was . nor am I familiar with an aircraft that can hover at 31,000 feet inside a very active thunderhead without grave risk. I stood up to see if anyone else was noticing what I saw and nobody was looking out the window.

Note that there were no blinking lights on the aircraft though it was quite visible if you were looking below the airplane and to the right just inside the thunderhead. I never said anything to anyone . though I do know the co-pilot quite well.

I fly on her route very often so we always say hello. I have been thinking about asking her about this event when I next run into her. Otherwise .

I have kept my mouth shut because most people just think you are wacky when you say you've seen something unidentifiable in the sky. As an Engineer I live in the world of the rational. Technologically we have a long way to go and there is a great deal of innovation and secret activity at both commercial and governmental facilities.

I would never. ever just assume this was an extra terrestrial space craft (it was too small for one thing) . my view was that it was about the size of a 737 aircraft or smaller.

Anyway . thats my UFO sighting. Nothing glamerous .

but definately something outside my experience. I do have a very strong interest in both commercial and military aircraft (historical and in development) and this wasn't something I was familiar with. Thanks ((name deleted)).
