red orangish dot with a red streak behind it moving faster than a falling star. red orangesish dot with a bright red streak behind it, it moved right to left in a horizontal straight line at a very fast pace, the sky was clear not many stars or clouds,i thought it was a falling star at first until it kept moving across the sky it didnt fizzle out like fallig stars ive seen in the past and then it just dissapeared. Bright U F O Sighting East Coast Area NC ((NUFORC Note: One of five quite dramatic reports of alleged sightings from the same witness/source. PD)) I opened the back door to sweep out some dust I'd swept up and saw a very bright light coming over the pine trees in the woods directly behind our house. I knew immediately that it was not conventional aircraft as it was a very bright fireball in the shape of a standing bowling pin with all the light contained inside as if it were a see through balloon.

It made no noise at all.It even maneuvered as if it was floating along the wind currents a few times but was traveling a fast pace just the speed of a normal aircraft that would fly over though this object was not on any normal path I've seen the regular planes take before. I jumped outside and ran out to the middle of the yard and watched it coming over to my left.

I sprang to the back door and yelled to the wife "Come here quick.hurry NOW!!!" She looked out and I had just turned off the outside light also to get a better visual on this object. She cried out…"What is that?" And she came outside in the cold to look closer at it and we both watched it travel off until it disappeared either into clouds or some other way.

This whole episode was about three minutes and no more. She said it looked like fire emitting from the object but I missed that running to an open spot to see it better. We both were exhilarated at this sight and we could not wait to share it with neighbors and our grown children who live elsewhere.

That's all there is but I'm telling you it was not an airplane or helicopter or blimp or something like experimental craft or rotor or glider or hot air craft. It was bright as a star and quite large. Very freaky to behold and glad the wife could witness this event as it would have been very hard to deal with trying to explain to her what I encountered as I am a close encounter survivor from 1987 and she does not enjoy what she calls an obsession of mine when it comes to UFOs.

This for me was a Christmas gift! This is worth reporting as it was really startling and eerie and I would not waste our time if it was not spectacular and needing to be reported.

Single bluish white downward arc of fast moving single light We were traveling 220 alt south at 65 mph coming into the city limits of Asheboro, when my wife saw a fast moving blusish white light that was traveling from east to west in a downward arc. I also saw it for a second when it just "went out." My wife is a doubter of UFOs, and I have an open mind to UFOs.

It takes something weird for my wife to make a comment like she did last night. We both have seen metor showers and this was not a "shooting star." It wasn't a spot light that stores use in the area.

My wife and I are both graduate level mental health and substance abuse therapists.

At 8:30pm red flashing lights appeared in the sky above the tree lines, making different formation patterns. My witness and I were headed South in a motor vehicle when my witness asked what those lights were. I was driving so I looked and thought at first glance a tower of some sort.

It was well past dusk. Then upon further notice it seemed they red dots were moving. First it looked like two then three.

We pulled the car over and watched. The reddish blinking lights seemed to be moving but not necessarily going any where. It seemed to be now four blinking lights.

Making different formations in the skyline just over the pine tree line in the distance. Triangle formations and even staggered line patterns. We watched for as long as we could before we had to get it the car and head home.

Two sightings on cold days (Durham, NC) and 1 on a hot day (Charlotte, NC) with a picture of one Technically, there were 2 witnesses to this event. I was walking my 2 year old son home from daycare, when I put him on my shoulders. It had literally felt like the windiest day NC had ever had.

I would know, as I didn't have a car at the time, nor the years preceding and following this event. Whe walking my son through a nature trail, I just happened to look up.I saw a parallelogram-shape open in the clouds, as if a garage door lifted.

I blinked several times and immediately stopped walking. The shape stood open for several more seconds, then closed from top to bottom, in perfectly straight lines from start to finish. This was not the only sighting I've witnessed.

I have a picture on an older phone of a second sun-like object in the sky in November of 2013. Both the sun and this bright object were hidden by the clouds that day, so many would easily overlook it driving by, especially with the road layout on Fayetteville st in Durham, NC. I was walking to work at Lowes on the southside of town around 18:00hrs.

Once it was in view, I never saw it depart. As I entered Lowes, it was still there. The final sighting was in September of 2015, near downtown Charlotte, NC.

I was walking, again, to a bus stop just southwest of downtown. I seen at least 8 red lights, in the shape of the letter "U", in the sky. The difference between the first to sightings was that they or it was maybe 200 yards from the ground this time.

It held its position for at least 10 seconds, then one by one, the lights disappeared.This occurred around 14:00hrs.

big noiseless flying object/vehicle of some time about 5 mile wing span. looked as if it was two stars moving across the sky until it enterd into the moonlight. appeared to be at least 5 miles wide.

almost blotted out the moon light. for a breif 3 seconds. couldnt see outline of TheCraft until it Entered into the moonlight.

was like a big v in the sky. you could see a big center peice in the midle of the wing spand. each wing approximatly if i had to guess 2.

5 miles in length on each side. took it about 5 minuts from the time i saw the craft to fully go out of sight you could only see the outline of the vehicle/craft for about a 3 second glimps. outside of moonlight looked like 2 stars.

after vehicle passed, 6 jets flew through the area as if they was trying to figure out what the craft was. i have to say im stunned.

Unearthly craft over Fayetteville/ Lumberton NC area. To start off, both the passenger and I who witnessed the craft are members of the USAF and know characteristics of aircraft. I work around them everyday.

While traveling down I-95 about 15 miles outside of Lumberton NC, My passenger and I witnessed a long formation of white lights above horizon. Jokingly, we talked about an aircraft landing on the highway. As we drew closer, the line of lights made me certain that these were no landing lights of any aircraft I have encountered.

As we traveled ever closer the lights formed into somewhat of a cross/disc shape with a bright light in each corner. A single unflashing red light accompanied the center light. The craft was angelic in its movements and seemed to hover at a speed at which no aircraft could maintain flight.

I would estimate its altitude at 200 feet. I could make out the feint curvature of a hull between the lights. No sound was heard when I rolled down my windows.

At this point my passenger and I couldn't comprehend what we had just seen. The craft passed over to the trees on the right of the interstate. I knew i needed to photograph the craft so I immediately took the exit a quarter mile from our sighting, but the craft was nowhere to be seen.

I know there were other witnesses. I consider myself an extremely logical person but have no explanation for what was seen. It maneuvered in a manner no earthly vessel can.

The fact I witnessed this on the supposed end of the world might bring discredit to my story, but I know what I saw. After finding this site, I noted a similar account of a craft in this area very recently.

4 bright orange circles in the sky with a small trail of smoke above each one. I was driving down the road in the town of Aurora, North Carolina. Low in the sky I saw at first 2 very bright orange balls.

They seeded almost like they were attached in some way. I thought at first of headlights on a low airplane. After getting into an area that had less trees I saw 4 orange balls.

The other 2 were close to each other like the first looking almost connected. All 4 of them each had a faint short trail of what looked like smoke on the top of them. I called my parents that live a few miles up the road from where I was at, and they saw them as well.

As I was traveling up the road toward the lights, a car in front of me pulled over to the side and parked, (this was on a back road with no houses or driveways in sight). I proceeded to my parents house and picked them up and we drove a little further up the road to a place that was a bit clearer. Each one of the balls slowly fizzed out one bye one.

The just slowly got dimmer until you couldn't see them any more. There was not any sound that we could hear from them, and the entire occurrence lasted for about 10 minutes total. ((NUFORC Note: We spoke via telephone with the witness, and he sounded to us to be objective and sober-minded.

White glowing light fell from the sky and into the trees. I was sitting on my table outside looking at the stars and I noticed this white glowing thing it was hovering around the sky then it fly ed in to the trees fast it was only one of them i didn't see it land. It was 1:00pm in the morning when i seen it hover when i went inside it was 1:30pm the next day i went outside and went in to the woods to see if it left any traces and i couldn't find anything.

Bright lights appeared then object came towards us. It was a bright light that we thought was a flare but it was in the air too long. Then it looked like it was disappearing until we saw shooting stars around it and then that is when the object appears.

It was disk shaped and it had white lights around it and a red line of lights on the side. It was moving sideways towards us really slow. We thought it was a plane since we stay by Fort Bragg but it was moving really slowly so we started to drive down the road to see what it was and it was close to us and started moving really fast.

It went so fast that it disappeared so we stopped where we were and turned off the lights and then it reappeared. When we tried to follow it again it disappeared and we did not see it again.

On this night I was outside checking out the meteor shower from my backyard. It wasn't very visible because i have a security light so I decided to move to the front yard. There's more of a visible area there and the house blocks out the light.

As i was stepping off the stoop I turned around and and barely caught sight of a very dimly lit object streaking through the sky. It was in the shape of a triangle (v-shaped). It had five lights on each side not including the light at the peak.

very dim red-orange lights. The object was very silent and made no noise. This sighting lasted about 30 seconds.

My mom Was all about The Myan Calander at the time, so We planned to watch the Sun rise on the beach. (And now thinking Back I thank her that we did) So we stayed up all night Unknowing what the Night Was going to Bring. I was living with my mom, and my boyfriend at the time was staying the night.

Now thinking back, I don’t really remember the day I just remember getting in the car my mom’s driving us and me watching a star that I swear was following us. Next to her car And somehow when we got to the Beach "This Star" was High In the sky In Front of us. I remember This Clearly: My mom standing in front of me looking at the sunrise, Saying look at the sunrise its beautiful! And I couldn’t, because my eyes were fixed on "The Star " That Wasn’t going away.

I REMEMBER Thinking when I will see it dissipate. Then I remember clear as day Watching Something Come out of it And Come to Earth Showing itself To Us. This Craft was About 100 ft away from us It was a x Shaped Craft with A huge white light in the middle, you couldn’t Hear IT, the way it moved Didn’t make sense.

The technology Was Something I Never seen before. I remember staring at the white light in the middle pointing at it, being so Blown away by this technology and at the same time Fearing it! I remember How fast It Moved Coddling Behind my mom Fearing this Ship.it Hovering Not making a sound moving side and diagonal.

Then it just left, and when it Left It went up UP! I REMEBER Staring At this Craft leaving Earth And it reminded me Of One of NASA launch Just way more advanced, watching it Disappear In our atmosphere. Will be something I will never forget. This Craft was so Powerful I felt Like an ant That could be squashed, just because I never seen anything like this! and people fear the unknown.

Looking back, I might Have felt like that at the time, because my Experience Happened on 12.12.12.

Growing up Waiting for that day Not knowing what was coming of all Those Ancient Prophecies I want to stress How I felt Connected to this Craft. I knew it was following us And Honestly That feeling Of THEM watching us Never really Left. I grew up Watching Ancient Aliens And researching a lot on the internet.

Nothing prepares you to see something that Powerful In person, this experience Will Stay with me for the rest of my life. And I understand People that dedicate Their life to the unknown. Overriding Fight Or flight instinct In Us, Is KEY.

When it comes to stuff like this. I wish I didn't coddle Behind my mom and welcomed them. I wish I dropped to my knees.

And flare my Hands Up and said thank you for coming.

A steady heart beating strobe light filled the entire pre daybreak overcast cloudy sky that only faded with dawn My brother and I witnessed something we had never seen and can not rationalize. It was a consistent, faint strobe through out the sky. The weather conditions were misty rain and very overcast, foggy and cloudy.

While looking up, you could faintly see it all over and it faded with daybreak so it never when away. It had a consistent beat pattern like a heart. Its color was a consistent illuminated white I would guess.

We are star gazers but never encountered anything like this. Has anyone else seen this on a cloudy or clear day?.

Lights (sparkling diamond shaped) appeared in the sky over Atlantic Ocean in North Carolina, 12-10-12. On December 10, 2012 at approximately 7:50 pm, 5 members of a family wish to report unusual lights that appeared to be moving, traveling and bouncing in the atmosphere above the seashore (Atlantic Ocean) at Sunset Beach NC. I am a teacher from this area and the other family members are also from this area and blue collar workers.

We were standing on the second floor balcony of our home, overlooking the intercostal waterway and the ocean beyond, looking at the night sky after dinner. The sparkle lights moved about, heading away towards the North East then came back towards the West closer towards us. These lights were high up in the atmosphere and did not appear to be any type of aircraft any of us had ever seen.

This light show continued randomly within this area several minutes and then several (3) of them seemed to bust or expand into a bright amber colored star or diamond shape and white star light shapes. A few minutes later, this process began again but! with fewer lights and a few more were to explode into golden star light also. After this they didn't appear anymore.

I would like to know if any other reports of this nature were reported in this area.

Two large red/oraange lights travel across Raleigh sky My husband saw two lights heading on a straight course above our neighborhood. He called me outside and I saw two large red lights, one following the other, for about 3 minutes until one vanished. The other lingered a minute longer until it too faded out.

We saw the second light flicker very lightly just a few times until they were no longer visible. They did not completely cross the sky. We could have watched them go even further but they disappeared before then.

We heard neighbors outside and one said, ‘What the hell is that?’ so we knew we were not the only ones who saw this. The lights did not blink and were extremely red/orange in color and quite large. The lights were constant the entire time.

I have never seen anything like this and am continually checking the local news to see if others caught it. The sky is extremely clear with only a few sparse clouds. Being a skeptic I couldn’t help but think it was a plane of some sort until we saw commercial planes fly by and it was extremely obvious these were not commercial planes.

Strange reddish/orange lights over Spindale, NC 12/8/2012 While driving home from working late, I noticed 5 reddish orange lights in the sky. They were all in an arched formation and sitting still. As I watched them, two more came up from behind the trees.

4 of the first 5 formed a different formation and the 3 remaining started moving really fast toward each other. The 3 formed a triangle shape and them all of the went very fast straight up almost of sight and then went out over Morganton, NC before they disappeared. This lasted about 5 minutes from the time I saw the objects and when they went straight up and out over Morganton, they were gone within 15 seconds.

Orange light in sky Wilmington NC My wife and I were driving S on River Rd. just about half mile south of Sanders Rd. We noticed a orangish light in the distance over the Cape Fear river (one object only as we looked south).

As we proceeded we lost sight of the object do to trees. Once we reached a clearing again with object was gone. I reported to MUFON similar objects in early 11/07/12 around 20:00 in what would be same area of sky or above Cape Fear river.

Large wedge shaped UFO I am a 43 year old man, Professional Land Surveyor, and I have a 9 year old son who was with me during the incident. Also, with me was a 45 year old male friend who is a construction worker. We live on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, next to where the Wright Brothers first flew.

We all basically agree with the following account. All three of us were getting on our bicycles to ride to a cook out a few blocks away in our neighborhood. It was 6pm November 30th, 2012 Friday night.

It had been dark for about 45 minutes. We rode down the street a few hundred feet, heading basically north, when some red lights caught my eye through the live oak trees. Seconds later, an aircraft emerged from behind the tree line.

It was a black or charcoal gray craft. Estimated 200 feet long tip of the triangle to its base, 100 ft wide at its base and 15ft tall. Flying virtually silently about 300 ft off of the ground and traveling in a seemingly straight line about 15-25 mph.

It flew very slow and quiet for a craft of this size. I have seen Stealth Bombers and Stealth fighters, it was at least as big as the bomber, probably bigger, but not shaped the same and much more quiet. There were rows of red lights lining the bottom of the craft on either side from the tip to the base, but not along the base of the traingle shape.

No lights went on and off like FAA planes. All lights were red, some pulsated seemingly randomly but stayed relatively dim compared to the lights on the points of the triangle and never went out or "blinked." The lights at the points of the triangle seemed to be the brightest lights.

The craft flew almost directly over our heads, just west of us, so we had to crane our necks to look up at it because was so close. We watched it "slide" slowly past us and continue in its northerly direction until we lost sight of the lights behind the trees and houses north of us. As it passed our position, a low humming rumble noise could be heard, but it was by no means loud like a jet or propeller.

It was not a blimp. We would have been able to see the blimp above the craft because it was so low. Also the blimp would have had to been li! ke 1000 feet long to lift the structure we saw.

I am not convinced this is not some semi-secret military operation, as we have Oceana Naval Air Station near us to the north. However, they are obviously not concerned about people seeing the craft flying the way it flew over the fairly densely populated area here on that night last week. This is a true account, it happened.

What we saw is real, whatever it is. I am not a UFO enthusiast, I am a hard facts guy. We saw what we saw, and whatever it was is a reality.
