Glowing circular object with dark blue ring falling from the sky Driving on I-85 North my husband and I saw a glowing blue circular object fall from the sky. Not a shooting start. I have seen one of those.
Hard to explain, of course, but it was glowing similar to the moon. It had a bluish white center with a pretty darker blue ring. Seemed to fall in a circular motion (like something being thrown) rather than straight out of the sky.

3 fiery crimson orbs at low altitude 1 craft initiayly. Fiery red orb (assumed as a helicopter from distance) passed over slowly at low altitude. No flashing lights to indicate object as an aircraft or drone.
No accompanying sound, completely silent. Ascended into clouds. 12 seconds later 2 more identical craft followed and ascended in the same fashion.
Objects were illuminated with a dark crimson hue, glow was bright in center with an exterior similar that of a low burning flame. ((NUFORC Note: Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information. PD)).

Blinking lights have been appearing and hovering over the blue ridge mountains. They occasionally move higher and higher until they can no longer be seen from the window frame without bending down. They're gone by 11PM every night.
Last night they returned. In the wee hours of the morning. I'm not sure of the time.
I woke up briefly and noticed because it was brighter. Bigger. The blinking lights were clearer.
It was also farther to the left this time. I wake up a lot every night. This is the first time I've seen them return.
This was viewed from the village of Cedar Rock.

Bright blinking lights hovering over the blue ridge mountains. This is not the first time. They do not appear every night.
Sometimes they'll skip a night or a few. When they appear they hover in one place for awhile. They'll move higher occasionally until we can no longer see them in the frame of the window.
They are usually gone by 11PM. Viewed from the village of Cedar Rock.

large group of orange orbs I was driving down US highway 64 East, when I noticed 7 orange lights flying in formation. They crossed the 4 lane and I pulled off the highway to see better. Other cars also pulled off and got out looking at the objects.
No blinking just solid orange lights. I took a video of 3 of the objects and someone yelled out another group was coming across the highway. I saw then but did not video as my phone camera quit working.
Next there were several helicopters coming and I could hear the helicopters not the orange objects, no sound from the groups of objects.

A cylyndrical shaped object traveling from North to South was observed traveling at a great speed. Coloration was green and the object disappeared at about 30 degrees above the horizon. Potentially the object could have been a meteor, however its size was massive.
If I held my hand out straight, the objects size would have been the thickness in my thumb.

At approximately 7:00p.m, I thought I saw a strange light in the sky over the ocean through my window. I grabbed my glasses and went out onto our porch, which faces the ocean to the south.
Whatever light I had seen was no longer visible but I noticed some small white lights blinking very fast and moving at what appeared to be extreme rates of speed. The lights would sometimes appear to be chasing each other and other times seemed to be moving in unison. I knocked on the window and my husband came outside and watched with me.
We saw as many as ten of these lights at any given time and they would sometimes blink, sometimes the light would be steady and then they would just disappear. The ocean was very calm and we would have been able to hear jet sounds, but there were none. After a few minutes of this, we saw a very bright orange light appear, which hovered for several seconds before disappearing.
This happened about 3 more times, all the while the white lights were continuing to blink and jump around. We then heard a loud rumble like a fighter jet and after that that it was quiet again and all the lights seemed to cease. This event lasted about 15 minutes.
We went back inside, but after about 10 minutes I went back out to look again. I began seeing the blinking white lights again, and occasionally heard the jet sounds. My husband came back out and again we saw the orange lights only this time multiple appeared at one time and one of them split into about six lights in a straight line at an angle.
This happened two more times, after which the white lights had moved further away and to the west before disappearing altogether. This second event lasted about 10 minutes. I would like to note that we have seen this same phenomenon, or parts of it, on several occasions from this same location.
I would really like to know what it is we’re seeing.

Orange Glowing and Pulsing Circular Object over Hickory, NC, USA I observed a round pulsing object that was bright orange and glowing. It left no trail nor emitted sound. I first noticed the object in clear skies at 9 pm at night facing West/North West at 295 degrees.
The object was slowly traveling straight down followed by a leveling off curve to the left then level horizontal for a distance. During the leveling off curve and horizontal movement, the object slowed dramatically and at one point was almost no longer moving. The pulsing orange light may have been caused by a rotation of the object.
The edges were fuzzy and the shape seemed to change with the pulsing. I did not have a camera at the time and I went inside to get me wife to see it. When we returned, it was no longer visible.
((NUFORC Note: We spoke via telephone with the witness, and found him to be both eloquent, and sober-minded, about his sighting. We suspect that he is a highly qualified witness. PD)).

Lights over snow bank I stepped out to see the snowstorm in North Brevard, NC. There was a white light to the night, almost as if a full moon. When the trees started swaying, a blue light and a gold-not-yellow light up overhead seemed to be up over the cloud bank, as if behind a scrim.
The gold seemed to move, as if a tinder to a yacht. I went back inside and the lights flickered back on. There is no transformer over head.
There was no foreboding until the wind started. A Cherokee-descended acquaintance immediately posted from 30 miles away the story of the Anjikuni Lake in 1930 and has been posting about us never knowing when we’ll be called to move. I live close to PARI.

Unusually long dark shape, moving very slow, no lights, no sound, at tree level. December 4, 2018 about 5:30 pm at dusk. Sky was orange colors from sun set.
Clouds were dark. Very pretty sunset. In my car, waiting at traffic light at highway 42 west, to turn left onto Government Road in Clayton, NC.
While waiting to turn, I was looking West. Something moving caught my attention. At the tree level, which I estimate to be around Cornwallis Road, which is West of Government Road about 1 mile away.
Something was flying low above tree level. Very long, (comparing size with distance) slender shape. No lights could be seen on shape.
Dark like the clouds; black silhouette. Could not see wings or tail of an airplane. No sound was heard.
Object was moving very slowly from south to north. I had to move with traffic, so, I made my turn. It was very unusual.
We see military large cargo planes all the time around here. They fly low, but, this was even lower.

Football field sized rectangle, black, near Boone N.C. that disappeared at a high rate of speed.
At approximately 10:30pm on the previous Friday night, looking north towards Hawks Nest ski resort, over a large valley at approximately 3600ft elevation near Boone, NC, I witnessed a large black rectangle with around one dozen lights underneath. It appeared to be 1/4 mile away, and 500ft above the valley floor. It appeared to be the suze if a a football field, but extremely thin; think of a gigantic iPhone.
After a few seconds, it vanished at an amazing rate of speed to the east and out of view.

Bright, orange, triangle shaped crafts flying in formation over Kill Devil Hills, NC. My daughter and I saw five ufos in a formation. They were shaped like a triangle but not a full triangle.
They were dark orange and just seemed to vanish in the same place one after the other.

Triangle yellow lights in the night sky. I have a four-year degree and am working on my Masters degree. I was traveling up I-85 in-between Charlotte and Salisbury, traveling north-east.
As I was driving, I was looking periodically into the sky at the numerous airplanes with their flashing lights. Almost 6-8 airplanes were flying and moving in all directions across the sky in different directions. Then as I look up again, I see 2 lights beside each other straight ahead in the sky and at first, I thought they were just stars because they were not moving or flashing, but I could notice they were brighter than any star in the night sky.
As I got closer it seemed to be getting bigger and was not really moving but seemed to be hovering, almost as if it was studying the nearby airport. It looked to be roughly 5 miles in the sky right in front of the road. As I moved closer to it in the car, I could see vividly the 2 lights were now 3 in a triangle.
They were a yellowish orange light and still at this point, were not flashing like all the other airplanes in the night sky. As I drove almost directly under it, I could tell it wasn’t moving or moving extremely slowly, as I saw the triangle of yellow-orange lights that looked to be about the size of two airplanes given the distance. When we passed underneath it I looked back for a second it looked to be getting smaller and moving higher and away at about a 70 degree angle.
I’m not sure what I saw but it was not acting like, nor looked like any of the other half a dozen airplanes in the night sky. The 3 bright yellowish orange lights seemed to take up more than half of the bottom of the craft.

Two bright lights almost connected right before sunrise. Not a plane. Stayed still in the sky at sunrise until lost sight while driving.

Erratically moving object in night sky. While looking to the northeast on a clear night we saw a small, white light which we at first thought was a stair. We then observed that it was moving in circles and erratically while staying in basically the same location.
There was no wind and nothing, i.e. trees, between us and the object.
We took several videos on our phones.

Saw exact same strange craft again a week later at the same spot. It was on approach to GSO RW 32 On November 2018 I witnessed the second observation of a craft on approach to GSO/ RW 32 exactly a week later. I was on the off ramp getting onto I-840 and with disbelief I saw the same craft.
The Craft had a white and Red Identification this time with no blinking NAV lights that should be required in class B airspace. It went over my car at basically the exact spot I had witness the first encounter. It had an invisible Fuselage that would reflect light in a strange pattern.
I was the only car on the highway so my lights couldn’t have had that reaction to it. It was about 300 feet again over my car and I stopped to see the craft. This time it turned on 3 white lights across the middle and winged section in a horizontal pattern.
They were not bright enough to be landing lights and they were facing the wrong diction for landing. The craft turned to what appeared to be 45 degree angle just feet from landing and then disappeared. I called the tower and! again and of course… no knowledge of a landing.
I told him about another time that I called in to report the same craft and he told me it could have been an airplane that had NAV light problems. Well, I know I witnessed the same craft exactly one week apart at the same moment and that explanation doesn’t work.

Huge diamond shaped aircraft moved very slowly, hovered, then went below tree line. Red/green non-flashing lights. Low quiet hum.
On November 8, 2018, at approximately 7:30pm, we were walking our dogs down our street and saw a very large (larger than our house), squished-diamond shaped, black aircraft, with red and green non-flashing lights, moving extremely slowly from left to right. It was just over the tree tops, but lower than the top of the radio tower, that was to its left. It slowed almost to a stop and turned to its left and went below the tree line.
There was no obvious aircraft engine noise, but had a low hum to it. I was waiting to hear a crash and an explosion, but it never happened. My friend, who is a pilot, was with me.
He said he had never seen anything like it. Our neighbor said she also saw it, but did not know what it was. What was remarkable was how large, quiet and slow moving it was.
