cigar shaped crft with white light flashing from window to windows. I just found this site, Im so glade to be able to report this. My husband was stationed in Germany on leave from the military.

We had taken the kids to a movie, and then pizza hut. We were traveling up 331 I believe the.I reached for a cigarette and saw what I thought was a blimp.

this was about 6:00, the sun had gone down. My husband military was all in avaition for 22 yrs. I questioned him about that "blimp" he said that is not a blimp.

The odd thing is was there were no other cars, or traffic. there is a Y in the road, at that time there was a little hotdog stand, the craft was hovering above it. The left side of the Y was 331, the right side took you to the shopping centers.

the cigar shaped craft had windows, and they blinked one window at a time, when the back of the craft windows could be seen on the clouds. As I said there was no other cars on that intersection. My husband backed the car across a 4 lanes in the road and parked the car in a Gulf gas station.

the kids were asleep. My husband and I got out and stood at the front of the car. (remember that it was 6:pm.

The next thing I remembered to check on the kids in the back seat. To my surprise it was 10:00pm. I have no memories of talking to my husband, and he wasnt talking either.

Both of us had no memories of being that late at night. Still standing at the front of the car, we saw the craft shoot up in the sky very fast. When we got home, my husband called the FtBragg to see if anyone saw on radar.

I still have questions as to what we were doing in the hours between 6:00pm and 10:Pm its all just a blank. ((NUFORC Note: Witness indicates that the date of the sighting is approximate. PD)).

Missing time involved. Other witness remembers nothing. Tractor beam taking water aboard craft.

5 miles downrange, appeared 300 feet long and 60 feet in diameter. Based on angle at tree top level, and known range, object was around 6600 feet long and 550 feet in diameter. Many other events, one involving screen memory.

Ship was dull orange on sides, bottom was brilliant white with a blue beam of light amidships. I saw the craft on Pamalee Drive hovering just behind Highland Nursing Home. Craft was long and cylindrical, with a disk in front that was the full diameter, and a forth as high.

I could send you a drawing if you like as it is very difficult to visualize. The man that was with me recalls nothing of the event, while I remember seeing it for about ten to fifteen minutes. I was not afraid of this craft, though I knew in my heart it was from another world.

The bottom of the craft was flat, the top a half circle, and the back when it took off was flat with what appeared to be cargo doors. When the craft took off, it slowly gained altitude and moved forward, much like a helicopter. After this slow ascent, it moved so fast that it was on the outer fringes of the earths atmosphere in less than a second, spewing out long streaks of white light behind it.

My friend is a recovering alcoholic, and has no memory of the incident. I recall that when we returned to his house, our watches were both 50 minutes slow.

Triangle craft seen in Eastern North Carolina My family was returning from church (Wednesday night choir practice and youth group meetings) when I saw this craft. During the summer I was allowed to play outside until 10PM, so I went outside after changing clothes. There was a large forest surrounding my home, but the area between our house and the neighbors home was about 100 yards, with 50 yards of trees.

There was a huge silver/white birch between our homes that spread out and dominated that treeline. I was walking the path between our homes when it became eerily quiet. The cicadas stopped their noises.

Completely. Night animals were oddly quiet as well. As someone who was a youthful but experienced hunter, and spent a great deal of time in the woods, I knew this generally indicated the presence of a predator.

Being that I was aware the most dangerous thing in our evening woods were (1) people or (2) wild dogs, I wasn't overly concerned since I knew that stretch of woods like the back of my hand and would notice ANY misplaced shadow or item in the vicinity. Out of an abundance of caution however, I decided to look around. Especially since I had a mild sense of being watched (not unusual given the number of animals in the forests around my home).

It was the hairs standing up on the back of my neck that pushed me into paying closer attention though. Not seeing anything ground-worthy around me, I looked up into the trees. A bobcat maybe? I wasn't sure.

Looking up though, it was the lights that caught my attention. What appeared to be about 50 yards above the birch tree I mentioned, was a series of three bluish/white lights arranged in a triangle formation. The area between them blocked out all starlight above them.

I don't remember if it was a cloudy evening or not, but the area between the lights was definitely darker than the night sky around it. I couldn't make out any other details, other than the lights and the dark triangle formed by them. I don't recall any other interaction with the object I saw, but I remember feeling a breeze that smelled odd then "snapping out of it" when I heard my father call me back to the house from our garage.

Which was odd because he said I'd been outside about 30 minutes already and I was needed inside to help my sister with some chore they needed doing; it was odd to me because it seemed like only about 5 minutes to me. I looked back up, and the sky had returned to normal with no trace of the lights. That's it.

Nothing since. Just thought I'd pass this along. My parents didn't believe I'd seen anything and chalked it up to an over-active imagination, but the image is burned into mind and I can still see it to this day as if it was just happening.

Large silent cylindar spotted on ASU campus, Boone NC, with large light, hovering just above treetops Myself, my roommate and another friend were sitting and talking outside our student union on a bench overlooking part of the Appalachian State University campus in Boone, NC. ASU is a rural-type university in the Blue Ridge Mtn. range in NWestern NC.

All three of us; at the same time; jumped up and pointed and exclaimed, "What's that?!" There, hovering just above the treetops in the dark, was some sort of a huge cylindar-looking silent craft. I mean it made NO noise. It had a long light that seemed to rotate from the top down towards us.

The light movement seemed to make a humming noise. If "it" did see us; it saw three young women with their jaws agape and their eyes wide as saucers! In an instant, it pulled out of sight - almost as if it disappeared. We stared at each other and then took off like mad all the way back to our dorm - scared to death.

We huddled under a blanket on the couch and tried to calm outselves and to figure what in the world that could've been; too scared to go back out. I realise this happened years ago but I've told numerous people, including my husband and children over the years, so I remember this as if it happened yesterday. It wasn't until recently that I thought to look into this on the web thus found your site.

I am not the kind of person who believes these types of things. I'm rather skeptical and a down-to-earth person. But I KNOW we saw something unearthly or at least unexplainable that night.

Camping at Cherokee campground Great Smokey Mountains in North Carolina, mid to late 1970's, around the middle of the day, this silver disc shaped object was spotted hovering back and forth in and above the tree line above the creek everyone tubed on. Several campers came running out and saw it come over the tree line right down into the middle of the campground, it hovered for about 30 sec's and then shot off straight up and opposite direction it had entered extremely fast. It was a silver disc shaped object with red and green flashing lights pulsating all around.

My brother and I were really young maybe around 8 years old or so at the time and we thought it was the space ship from the amusement park in Pigeon Forge. It was back when there was nothing in Pigeon Forge, but the little amusement park on right heading in to Gatlinburg, some ice cream shop, and few other places. This UFO was witnessed by my dad, brother, myself, and several campers in the campground.

I've searched for anyone reporting the same thing around the same time at this campground. The campground is now a water treatment plant in Cherokee, North Carolina. ((NUFORC Note: Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information.

Night siting of a black trangle The date I have given for the actual siting is approximate simply because it was so long ago, but the time is accurate. It was early sping and I remember this because the trees were just starting to bud and the nights were finally begining to warm up. My cousin and I were doing what we usually did at 15 on a weekend night by riding our bikes to the next street off of Main street to sit by the railroad tracks to watch the frieght trains go by.

It was a cloudless night with no wind. We were sitting on a concrete foundation connected to a warehouse just off the road about 60 or 70 feet from the railroad crossing watching cars slowly go across the double rail lines. We were hoping for a slow moving train to come by so we could throw rocks at the rail cars and see the sparks fly.

That happened a time or two and we found ourselves sitting there as it got later looking at the sky. We were talking and I noticed in the sothwest a blinking out of stars as I gazed at the sky. I didn't think anything about it at first because I was looking at the sky through a tree in the distance.

I just thought the limbs of the tree might be moving because of a slight breeze that I could not feel from where I was sitting. A few more minutes passed as I watched the "blinking out" continue above the tree. Then I realized something was strange and I asked my cousin if he could see it.

I had to point in the direction and he saw what I was talking about. We just watched as it approached about 30 degrees above the horizon and that was when we realized it was a moving solid object. It had no lights at all and actually was darker than the moonless sky.

I remember saying to my cousin at that point, "what is that"? He said "I don't know". It was almost overhead by now and was being underlit to some extent by the lights on Main street. It was a perfect triangle and looked to be fairly low in altitude.

Maybe 600 to 800 hundred feet and about about 3 inches between the forefinger and thumb at arms lenght. I ran out to the rai! lroad tracks to get a look at it as it passed over the two story warehouse and I lost it in the city lights. At that point I don't remember us saying a word but we both jumped on our bikes and sped to my parent's house about a 1/4 mile away where my cousin spent the night.

There was no noise and the speed of the object was constant, very slow and linear. ((NUFORC Note: Date is approximate. PD)).

2 sighting a month apart, 1st being red lights engulfing my car, 2nd being 3 triangle crafts in a circle formation with white lights. I stumbled across this site in an effort to find out information about some very bright red lights that hovered over my car in 1979 in Thomasville, NC. I was driving home and red lights engulfed my car, with no noise, no sighting of craft.

I remember being scared out of my mind and driving like a maniac to reach my home about 5 miles away. Being only 16 at the time and unaware of the silent helicopters that have red lights that the military had, of course I thought it was an alien spaceship. I was to scared and drivng about 100 miles an hour to ever look up.

Maybe the military personal were spying inside my car thinking what a hot chick.lol. It is sorta funny now but now knowing some of the military craft info now.

it explains the event to a certain degree. The lights did leave my car and I never knew where they went, as of course I didn't look to see in fear I was going to have a wreck, just as the dudes operating the craft probally thought themselves and laid off of me. It wasn't a month later that I was on a date and we both saw 3 triangle shapes with white glowing lights just sitting still in the sky in a circle pattern about 2 miles from where the red light stuff happened, same road acually.

I know that were at at stand still because I compared them to the stars in the sky to see which way they were moving. I wanted to follow them. but they were not going anywhere.

We just drove off on our way to eat. I haven't seen anything else in my life, not that I have been looking for it! I have found myself here and there stare into the sky looking for something strange, but not enough I guess. I couldn't of been the only person to experience this crap.

Now with the Stealth fighter unveiled, that expains that sighting also. I went years thinking that I had experienced a true UFO sighting(s), I am relieved now that I know facts that explain them away. Unless a creature actually comes up to me, I will not be scared of these sightings anymore.

Being in a military state we all must understand that certain crafts have to exist and be tested in secret. I am not saying that aliens do not exist, but to go along with most scientists, to reach Earth would be a far reach! I do understand people's fears about the unknown, I suffered myself, for years!!! I have no idea why these crafts were in our area of NC.about 3 hours from the coast, but guessing it was just for a test run.

huh? ((NUFORC Note: Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information. PD)) ((NUFORC Note: Witness indicates that the date of the sighting is approximate. PD)).

While living on the edge of the campus of Campbell College in Buies Creek, NC I saw a large saucer shaped object on the ground. I woke up in the night to take care of my toddler aged daughter. When I went to her room I realized the interior of the house was lit up from this object, which was about 100 yards away.

We lived in a small one story house on the edge of the campus across from the indoor swimming pool. Land had been cleared next and behind this building for a new athletic complex. This object I saw was in the cleared area and I would say estimate the size of it to be the length of two bull dozers end to end.

There was no activity seen. However, the luminous light would slowly dim and gradually get brighter.
