i think it was trying to steal the stadium one of them flew right over the stadium and we thought it landed, BUT it didnt. it hovered over the stadium then started to come towards us but then disappeared. the 2nd UFO stayed about 1200 feet above the stadium then disappeared after the other had.

object blocks night sky above A VERY BRIGHT LIGHT FROM THE NORTHEAST, LESS THEN A MINUTE IT WAS OVER US. NO SOUND AND IT BLOCKED THE NIGHT SKY ABOVE US. THEN IT WAS GONE, JUST LIKE THAT.

fishing over resevoir object hovered for 20 minutes 2-3 feet above water, went straight up into space until it became vanished At 2 am while fishing with my brother, who is now a retired correction officer,at rodman resevoir in ocala florida, I became aware that the water was orange, my skin was orange,a light was so bright on the water that it was distracting me from fishing. I looked through the flooded trees and saw what I thought was a backporch light, an orange floodlight. I mentioned to my brother the light, it was annoying me and said we should move the canoe.

He just stared at the light and was practically speechless. Finally I realized why, when he brought it to me attention that we were in the main body of the resevoir, there couldn't be a house there, the light was over water. After looking at this large orange light that looked to be approximately 100 yards away a most, the light starting rising, it rose directly over our heads in a crystal clear night, never making a noise.

Suddenly the orange light became a light that resembled a white floating pencil at about a 500 feet up, it only remained this way for about 10 seconds, the "pencil" shrank to a dot, and then it literally blasted into outer space, that's the only way to describe it. It went straight up and went from 500 feet over our heads to a fading dot in space in about 3 seconds. It never made a noise, didn't emit any color or flames after blasting off, but did leave a cloud of smoke that took about 15 minutes to dissipate.

I was in a panic and shaking uncontrollably, and we left soon after. Suprisingly my brother was shaken but calm, at least calmer than me, as he claims to have seen an equally remarkable event if not more so to him, including being spotlighted by a craft and a loss of several hours of time while in North Carolina several years earlier.As farfetched as this sounded then and even now, he is very stable,never was one to make up stories, and since I know what I saw with him while fishing was the most incredible event I have ever had, the fact the he relates one sighting with the other means my brother saw something and experienced something he feels was just as remarkable if not more so years earlier.

For me this was probably the most remarkable thing I have ever witnessed and am again shaking now 25 years later as I write this. It was something I have tried numerous times to reconcile in my mind over the years, to see something that I thought was a backporch light blast into space, it's something I will never get over or forget. Tampa, Fl. 7/5/79, Saucer shape object lit from underneath moving west toward the international airport or Tampa bay. I drove to Tampa from Lakeland after leaving a party.

I do not drink and was the designated driver. After dropping off my friends, at about 2:30 AM, I drove into my driveway and stepped out of my car. I closed the car door and then fumbled on my key ring for the key to my house.

I moved away from the car using what I thought to be moonlight to find my key. When I looked up to my left, over my pool area there was a large saucer shaped object suspended over my house, my pool, and also sections of my neighbors house. I could not tell how high up it was nor how large since I had no reference about the object to compare.

The moonlight glow was coming from the bottom of the object where several lights appeared around the bottom outline of the object. The lights were not round, but, rectangular with a space between each. The lights began to rotate counterclockwise then a round center area lit up as well.

The center was a softer glow than the outer edge. The object moved west over my house very slowly and with absolutely no sound. I ran to the front of the house to continue to view it, but, it moved straight upward and the lights were shut off.

Several of my friends and I where in a school playground and a saucer with lights on bottom (colors) was about 200 feet above us and made no noise at all. We looked at it for a few minuites and then ran home. The odd thing was, my brother and I made it home in what seemed to be only seconds and we did not know what the time frame was from runningto being home.

I never told anyone about this except you. ((name deleted)).

night, black, silent, round, oval, pulsating lights on edge, very close proximity All my life I thought it was just a dream that was stored in a way real events are. Like recalling it as if it were a real event. Anyway, I didn't really give it much thought until a couple years ago.

I was at a party with my brother and he brought it up. I don't ever recall discussing it with him other then during the encounter. When he brought it up I was shocked.

I really did think it was just an extremely realistic dream that i had as a kid. We both shared many feelings about it. The shared feelings are more strange than the encounter in my opinion.

We both remember not being freaked out, it was if it was no big deal. After the incident and mostly during it, we did to seem to care all that much. In recollection, that is stranger to us more then the encounter.

The encounter- We were out flying my black kite at about 8PM. We still don't know why we decided that was a good idea but kids do dumb things. As we were flying it (always looking upwards) my string felt strange.

I knew it was up and that it was flying. I just didn't feel the kite on the end. It was very strange.

We suddenly noticed a large object with multicolored pulsating or flashing lights off to the side where we thought the kite should have been. My guess it was more of a pulsing but its been a long time ago. We should have seen it coming in from further away but we didn't.

One moment we were flying a kite, the nest we see an object about 300yards away heading right for us. It was about 50 -100 feet off the ground. It was fairly large.

At first I thought it was the blimp and it just turned on its lights and thats why we didn't see it coming at first. It was moving about 25mph, maybe a little less. As it got closer we looked back at it because we then realized it wasn't the blimp, or even a silent helicopter (as a kid I thought those existed).

It was making absolutely no sound at all. Lights still pulsing around it on the sides. As it got closer it was apparent that it was flattish and sort of rounded or oval.

Its surface was extremely black. We strained to see "its" surface but we really couldn't. It was solid and not transparent.

the lights on the edges sort of curved down the sides to almost the bottom edge. It was now maybe 75yds away and my kite crashed. This is the weird part.

Most people would be freaking out at this. What did we do? We were worried about my kite. I reeled it in as fast as I could but it wasn't fast enough.

We both looked back at the object and at this point it was going to pass overhead. It was definitely lower now. Maybe 50' feet.

It passed directly overhead just to our right. it was perhaps 60-80 feet wide. Still making no sound at all.

All we remember after that was making mention then we needed to get my kite back. So we walked to the crashed kite. It was like we didn't care about the huge craft above us.

We walked over to my kite totally ignoring it. We examined the kite and noticed one of the sticker eyes was missing. It probably blew off but we joked that "they" took it.

Then we decided to look again at the craft and it was a hundred yards or so away moving away quietly. We watched it for a few seconds at most because for an odd reason it didn't matter. We didn't care.

That was the last we saw of it. We never saw it continue its journey away. It was just over.

it may have continued or blinked out. I will never now. It left the way it appeared.

This may not entertain some UFO or Alien enthusiasts but we both agreed that we must have created the story in our youth and it became a false memory. Its strange that we both share the same exact memory, but I am sure its possible. I decided to send this in as a UFO report because it seems like a UFO encounter.

Maybe it really was. I will never know. I wanted to make it public in case anyone else experienced this.

large metallic perfect disk (goldish) On may 26, 1979 I took a passenger flight from Washington DC to Daytona FL. After arriving at the airport I walked to the mall for a half an hour. Then started to walk in direction of Daytona Beach.

I looked over my left shoulder and saw a large solid heavy disc object at approx 2000 ft.alt. flying south about 9:30 o’clock.

My perceptions were stunned by how clear and sharp I saw it and how I (knew) it was something else, not of earth. I thought that strongly. I had chance to check every perspective as two 727 aircraft passed underneath going opposite directions, the disc flew steady almost directly overhead and there was not a cloud in the sky.

Of course I was thinking everything you can think, everything I ever thought about astronomy and physics having studied those subjects. The object continued across the sky for about one and a half minutes then it started to descend to the horizon. Last sites were of a telephone wire that blocked part, then the disk left view.

Five bright lights or glowing oval objects hovered over the horizon south of Panama City Beach, FL, during Memorial Day 1979. It was around Memorial Day Weekend, 1979, when my immediate family gathered at our newly built beach house on Spyglass Drive in PCB. It was right after dinner, the sun had been down for an hour or two.

Through the living room picture window, I noticed a bright light hovering--actually descending slowly at about 70 degrees until it reached the horizon. It seemed to light up the ocean below it and it glowed intensely. Then another bright light appeared in the same place high up in the night sky and began to slide toward the first one.

I called them to the attention of my family--who continued watching TV. So I went outside, on the balcony, and was surprised at the brightness of the two lights (the picture windows had darkly tinted glass). I looked at them and decided they were the perfect subject to test some new Kodacolor 400 ASA film I had just purchased.

I was into photography then and had a nice Minolta. I shot between eight and ten exposures bracketting around a second each. I am attaching two I recently scanned.

In a matter of half an hour there were five bright lights hovering over the horizon, as you can see in the top photograph. The little vertical lines under each light are the result of my moving the camera slightly during exposure. The photo below, which may be the first one in the series, accurately reflects their "shape".

My father, mother, brother, sister and brother-in-law came out to see them. We all wondered what they could be. Helicopters? The night was silent but for the murmur of the rolling waves.

My brother-in-law went to the piano and played the five first notes of the "Close Encounters" theme by John Williams. We saw the neighbors coming outside also and asked them what they thought the lights were. The lady said we should tune in the local TV news at eleven.

"They will have the answer," she said. In about 45 minutes the lights went back up into the sky. One at a time, but faster than they came down.

We want inside to watch the news but they were not mentioned. So I called the NBC station and they didn't know anything about any lights. They suggested I should call Tyndall Airforce Base--which I did; but no one there had an explanation for whatever it was that we saw.

The next morning I asked everyone if I had dreamt the thing about the lights. No, I hadn't. But nobody really wanted to talk about it.

I kept insisting. My father said: "We're near the Air Force Base. They test things all the time.

" For a while I showed the photos to friends and told the story. Then they were put away. I just came across them again and scanned those two when I went looking for family photos for a web page project.

I'm sorry that the files are big, but if ever resolution mattered, it's in these cases, no? I also have the negatives which may contain more picture information. Any one interested in this? Any one knows what we saw? ((NUFORC Note: Date is approximate. PD)).

Glowing light moves slowly, hovers then shoots straight up into the sky and vanishes My boyfriend and I lived just outside Gainesville in rural area. We were going out for the night and walked out the front door to see a glowing yellow ball off in the distance just above the tree line. It made no sound and it was moving slowly.

We got in our truck and drove out to the two-lane highway. On the highway we saw a light again off to the left. We pulled over to watch the light, which was now an orange color.

The area where the light was located is a large area of vacant land with an old barn. My boyfriend got out of the truck and I stayed inside looking out the window. We watched and it looked like it was at the level of a streetlight though we know there were no streetlights there.

It must have been a few minutes while it hovered and then all of a sudden it shot straight up in the air moving incredibly fast. We watched it go up and then the glowing light expanded and then it was gone. When we got to the place we were headed, I called somebody related to air traffic/air force to ask them if there was anything they were flying.

They said no, but that it might have been a weather balloon. It seemed like that might account for the floating glowing light we saw along the tree line but didn’t seem plausible for the way it stayed still and then shot up in the air. I had never seen something move so fast.

Bright Light outside of the house I was about 5 or 6 years old when I was awaken by a bright light outside my window I set up in bed to see a glowing object floating in my room I tried to screem but no sound would come out and I couldn't move either although I didn't feel scared this glowing ball tried to communicate and then disapeared. A small unexplainable hovering object I spotted as a child of 10 while walking home from school one day in the 70s I was walking home from school one day in about the 5th grade, possibly 4th down Flagler Avenue. This was around 1978 or 1979. I had walked home every day since the 2nd grade.

It was between 2:30 and 3pm. I was walking on the sidewalk against the traffic. It was a 4-lane with a median.

I was one block from my home when I looked across the street ahead of me and saw a strange small object hovering above that sidewalk about 15-20 feet up. From that point on I did not take my eyes off of it but I did try to see if there was a string on it or if it was being controlled from someone on the ground. This was a residential neighborhood and there was little to no traffic at this time.

Or if there was, I do not remember, I was so fixated by this object. I continued to watch it, walking slowly as it just hovered there. Suddenly it seemed to "notice" me and it made a direct bee-line across the street toward me.

As I write this I am getting chills upon chills just recalling this. It didn’t move fast nor slow but just steadily in a very straight line at the same altitude. Soon it was right over my head maybe 10 feet above me and following me exactly as a continued to walk.

I was not afraid but extremely intrigued. I couldn’t imagine what it was! It was a small very colorful disk. It was slightly tilted, with a small cylindrical "handle" going through the center.

If I can remember, I believe the handle was red. It looked kind of like a toy but it baffled me because it was spinning and it was silent and there was nothing attached to it. I couldn’t understand how it could be suspended up there, and at that time, I was not aware of any remote controls like THIS.

It hovered over me spinning quietly until I reached the end of the block and stepped off into the street, then it immediately went back across the street. I still continued to watch it, looking back until I got to my house. AT that point, I felt afraid and went into the house, locked the doors and called my mom at work as a watched out the kitchen windo w trying to spot it.

I didn’t have a good view. I never saw it again. I was not particularly aware of UFOs.

Our family was not into that. So it didn’t occur to me that this could be a UFO. I drew a picture of it for my mom and dad and my mom wrote down what I said and we kept that.

But I have never forgotten anyway. From that day on, I always tried to find an explanation for such an object. I looked at kites and remote controls or whatever I could find to explain it.

I never could. Then when I saw a toy or colorful kite that reminded me of it, I would feel a sense of panic. To this day I still have not found a plausible explanation for it.

There were no other witnesses. This is the first time I have reported it. I am 40 years old.
