While driving to NY with a friend, observed a oval shape craft 40' in diameter ,stood 30' of the ground. While driving to NY for thanksgiving,a female friend and I obseved an oval shape craft to the left of us. We pull of to the side of the turpike,(like four other vehicles did also).
We all got out of the cars and started to observe the oval(UFO) craft? It look like sparkles were coming out from it,and made no noise at all. We stood there for about five to eight minutes looking at it. It did'nt do anything except for the sparkle like things coming out of it.
After a while, we all (the other people that had pull of the road like us)just got back int our vehicles and drove away.To this day,I still don't know what type of craft (UFO) it was, or were it came from? I know that during those days, they had over sixty sighting in and around that area. ((NUFORC Note: Date is approximate.

Saucer craft with red/green alternating lights on its midsection seen within 500 yards, travelling slowly at first, then vanishes While walking out of the now defunct naval base in Key West, my friends and I saw a large, saucer shaped craft hovering over a line of trees, no more than 1/4 mile from us. The craft had a bank of alternating green and red lights that rotated around it as it moved slowly from our right to our left. It travelled directly across our line of sight, slowly at first.
The rotating lights seemed to correspond with the speed of the craft as did a low pitched, deep whirring sound. As the craft sped up, the lights and the frequency of the sound increased accordingly. We watched it for about 10-15 seconds, when all of a sudden, it streaked up into the sky at an incredible rate of speed.
We watched it until it virtually vanished high in the sky. It was reported to have also landed inside the navy base, as several other sailors indicated in their report to the commanding officer of the base. The base was unexpectedly closed 3-4 weeks later.
I witnessed the same craft less than ten days later at another location on Key West. ((NUFORC Note: Date is approximate. We will invite the witness to try to establish the exact date.

You may be surprised that I am reporting this after 30 years. I remember the date clearly as I told myself I would never forget. I have told this story to quite a few friends over the years, but have never made an official report.
I have always been afraid of the attention this story might arouse, and of ridicule. I was 19 years old. I was in my front yard in Jacksonville Beach, Fla.
looking north. About 5 miles north of where I lived is Mayport Naval Station. I saw a very small red object in the sky that seemed to stay in one position for a long time.
Then it would move slowly to another position and stay awhile. I went inside and told my Father about this light. It was too far away to determine what is was.
I went back out and watched this light again. It started moving slowly eastward toward the Atlantic Ocean which was only a mile from my house. I went inside and told my Father I was driving down to the beach to see if I could get a better look at this object.
I drove down to the beach and parked in a parking lot beside a Holiday Inn in our town. This is right up to the seawall. I looked to the north and believed I spotted the object out over the ocean to the Northeast.
But it was tiny, and I could make out no detail at all. I watched this object for maybe 10 minutes. But I could see no detail, and grew tired of watching it.
I was standing on the seawall. I turned south to walk back to my car, when I saw a large orange football shaped object coming down our beach. It looked like glowing steel in a furnace.
It glowed. It also had a halo or a fog around it that was also orange. It did not appear to be even 200 feet in the air, and was moving slowly northward toward me.
We had a pier in our town that was about 1 mile south of my location. This object was closer, because I could see its reflection in the water between me and the pier. There was a car driving up the beach.
The object appeared to be almost directly over it. But the car was actually approaching me faster than the object. I would estimate this object was 60 feet long.
It appeared about the size of a streetlight maybe 75 feet away. As this object moved slowly toward me, I began to be a little afraid. This was late at night near Midnight, and there were not a lot of people out.
There is a stairway on the seawall down to the beach itself. I started to go! down in there, when I saw a man standing in front of the Holiday Inn smoking a cigarette. There was a railing on the seawall.
He was leaning against it and looking eastward out at the ocean. He did not seem to be aware of this object that now only appeared to be 3 or 4 blocks south of me. I ran over to the man and said, "Look at that!" pointing.
He looked up and said, "Wow, what is that?" I said, "I don't know, but I think its one of those UFO's!" The object had stopped now and seemed to just sit still. At times it seemed to glow slightly brighter and then dim. We both just stared.
Then the object seemed to flatten out into a long narrow rectangle. Maybe like a cereal box on edge. Even at this shape it seemed to glow brighter and then dim slightly.
It stayed like this for maybe 1 minute. Then, it shot eastward at the most amazing speed I have ever seen. It moved so fast that it appeared to stretch like taffy and then turn into a tiny orange ball that shot over the horizon to the east over the ocean.
It left a long orange vapor trail that took several minutes to fade away. The man asked, "Do you think that was a rocket?" I said, "No, I've seen rockets before, and they don't move like that" (You could see rockets go up from Cape Kennedy on clear days where I lived. I have seen numerous Apollo launchings and even the Space Shuttle years later).
The man asked me if I was going to tell anybody. I said I didn't know who to tell. We talked for a minute.
He told me his name but I can't remember. I do remember he told me he was from Detroit, Michigan and was down for vacation. I left and drove home.
I tried to tell my Father about it when I got home, but I woke him from sleeping, and I don't think he was quite awake. I told some co-workers the next day, who laughed at me. After that, I didn't tell anyone for a year or two.
But after that, I would tell some friends. I still tell people sometimes, but I have always feared people would think I'm lying or some kind of looney. Just to let you know.
I am very familiar with military aircraft. My Father worked for the military as an Aircraft Instumentation Calibrations Technician. I lived by air bases most of my young life, and have seen many odd military vehicles.
But I have never seen anything like this object. It was very close. It was not a rocket, plane, helicopter, balloon or whatever.
I don't know what it was.

Egg-shaped object emits light ray and missing time occurs . While driving south on A1A in Jupiter Island, Florida , one of the occupants saw an egg-shaped object , hovering about 50 feet above the shoreline . It appeared to be a liquid black color and was emitting a white beam of light from the under side , as though searching for something under the surf .
The distance of the vehicle was about 30-40 feet from the craft , which looked as though it was 30 feet in diameter. The craft was silent as the sun was setting and was cast against the stars that began to appear at dusk . As the passenger tried to get the attention of the others , the beam of light hit the car .
The next thing the witness recalls is that everyone in the vehicle is as though in a trance . He then asks the others if they heard him trying to get their attention and they all say no . By this time it is pitch dark out .
Normally it takes 45 minutes to one hour to make the drive from South West Palm Beach to Jupiter Island (in 1973 U.S. 1 ended at North Palm Beach so you had to travel west to the Florida Turnpike or east to A1A to travel from Jupiter to West Palm ) .
By the time they reached their destination in south West Palm Beach, it was now 11:15 PM and nearly 4 hours had past! All 4 of the witnesses were reputable people and had never been involved any incidents such as this before .

We were performing at a large private condominium (5 in a musical group)gated complex on an evening. just turning dusk. My ex-husband came running inside where we had performed and were breaking up the set.
He yelled that there were 3 ufo's outside to run out. I did and although they had been very close to the ground at the time he had seen then first.he said you could almost see in the windows! Unfortunately, when I got outside they were about the distance up in the air of an airplane.
The were very erratic in that they would zoom very, very fast and then hover. There were lights around the crafts and the colors turned red, green and yellow. I have never reported this but it is something one never forgets! Because it was a gated community there were two security guards, several people walking around the area and those of us that were in the building doing and viewing the show.

Unknown flying object circled home at high rate of speed creating a vacuum and making a high pitched whistling/whooshing sound. My father is a Registered Nurse, my mother is a Licensed Practical Nurse and my grandmother is a homemaker. When I was a teenager, my mother told me of an event that happened to all three of them in 1973.
I was only 4 years old when this happened and did not witness it myself although I was present for the event. It started at my grandmothers’ home which was just a quarter mile NW of ours. My family owned a 90 acre ranch in the NW section of the county and both homes were on the same property.
My grandparents and my dad had lived on the property for about 13 years and my mother and I had just moved to the property after she married my dad. Most of the property was cleared but we were surrounded by a thick forest. At around 2 am one morning my grandmother got up to use the bathroom and as she was going back to bed she saw a very bright light outside her bedroom window facing east toward the front of the house, the bedroom was in the southeast corner of the home.
She didn't know what it was so she went to her kitchen window also facing east to get a better look. She described an intense light hovering above the ground at the tree tops and moving toward her house from the east. She said it was very bright and lit everything up like daylight and she said there was a high pitched whistling/whooshing sound that was so loud she had to cover her ears.
She watched as the light moved up and over her house to the west when it suddenly disappeared. The light and the sound were just suddenly gone and she did not see it anywhere in the sky when she walked outside to look for it. My grandfather never woke up and has no recall of the event.
At about the same time my parents were awakened by a high pitched whistling/whooshing sound and the whole house shaking violently. My mother said the house was shaking so bad that the mirrors on her closet doors were rattling violently and she thought they were going to break. She said the sound was incredibly loud and she and my dad had to cover their ears and shout to each other to be heard.
They made their way to my room and found me sleeping soundly as though nothing was going on. They could not see an object but said it was circling the house incredibly fast and making that horribly loud sound. They said after a few minutes the atmosphere changed and it became very difficult for them to breathe and they felt like they were in a vacuum.
They said all of this lasted about 10 to 15 minutes when suddenly everything stopped. The sound, the vacuum and the violent shaking just stopped as though it had never happened. They told me that neither of them was able to get back to sleep that night and they never knew what it was that had caused all of the ruckus.
I have no recall of anything related to this event and I never experienced anything like it in all the years that I lived there and my parents never had another experience after this one. I don't believe in "little green men", aliens or extraterrestrial beings but I know something happened that night I just don't know what caused it to happen.

Whilewatching a friend of mine go-karting, I noticed a metallic cigar-shaped craft, several hundred feet in length move slowly over the south Tampa area. I was with watching a friend of mine go-karting at an amusement park that used to be located on Dale Mabry Avenue south of the former CSX railroad bridge. It was early evening, and as I watched him turn a lap I noticed what I first thought to be a KC-135 heading to the north over the typical Mac Dill AFB runway path.
The object made a gentle wooshing sound, was approximately 300-500 feet in length, and moved slowly (est. 25-50 mph) at an altitude of approximately 1,000'. I pointed to the object hoping my friend would see it, but he was enjoying his go-kart ride and did'nt look.
The metallic object literally seemed to vanish as it slowly continued northward. I am very familiar with aircraft, military, commercial, private, and balloons-- this was not any of them.

I have not told this but to a few friends .Me and my dad ( who is now 77 ), my cousin along with a few campers years ago ( 1973 - 1974 ) were camping on the Perdido River north of Pensacola , Fl. It was night.
no rain .No clouds . We saw 3 craft came out of nowhere hovering above us in a triangle pattern .
they were . I would say . 4,000 - 8,000 ft ? .
They were big . I would guess the 3/4 the size of a football field each . All you could see of the ship was a round light .
Not super bright . You could look strait at it . But still pretty bright .
This light lit up the area like moon light at three times the light . But no extra heat . And no sound at all .
The wind moved only slightly . But a strange thing . I will always remember .
I could shout in your ear and you would hear a whisper . They stayed above us for 3 to 8 min. Then you just saw streaks of light curve up to space .
and like that they were gone . ((name and e-address deleted)) Pensacola , Fl. 32507 ((NUFORC Note: Date is approximate.

White light flies into brighter white light and both go straight up. In the early evening, just after dark. A friend and I were sitting in the cockpit of my sailboat at a marina in St Augustine, Fl.
, just having a general conversation. We were sitting across from each other facing East. My friend stated "Did you see what I just saw".
I said what exactly did you see. We compared stories. What we saw was a "very bright star" high in the ESE sky.
(Out over the Atlantic Ocean}. It was a white light similiar to the brighness of the planet Venus and was just sitting there. Suddenly we noticed a smaller white light coming from the 4 o'clock position and it was very fast it went straight into the brighter light.
After maybe a few seconds the brighter light {with the smaller light} went straight up and out of sight. We are both convinced to this day that this was a UFO as it did something we didn't think regular aircraft could do. It was a first sighting for both of us.
