Zig Zagging Star Over Tampa Florida Mc Donalds Christmas nightime party. Upper deck 1975. Witness was an Airforce personnel who worked part time named Luis I believe.

We saw a triangular bright looking star and watched it go straight, zig zag, zooming up and down. I asked him is that a new air craft on Mc Dill AFB? He said no! A plane or craft we have cannot move like that. No one was on the rooftop but us at that time so he told me never to tell because people would think we were nuts.

He had his career to think about. I will never forget it. I was about 16 or so I believe.

I am now getting up in age so I want it known and wonder if any other people living in Tampa saw this? We could not have been the only ones. It looked like a star it was so bright and high in the sky. He said this thing must be larger than what we were seeing! Just need someone to know this information in case anything ever happens to me.

Sitting at a red light, clear night, craft south and west of me, just sitting there with lights quickly encircling it. Craft stayed still in the sky. After about a half minute, it literally zoomed up and out similar to what you see in a movie.

Quick, quiet, and super sonically fast. I have told the people in my life about this for decades. Made me an immediate believer.

WHILE WALKING ON ATLANTIC BOULEVARD IN JACKSONVILLE I WITNESSED A BOOMERANG SHAPED OBJECT ALMOST COLLIDE WITH A COMMERCIAL AIRLINER On a clear, cool day in December 1975 I observed a metallic boomerang shaped object have a near miss with a commercial airliner. Initially while walking along Atlantic Boulevard, I noticed the vapor trail of a south bound tri-jet (L-1011 OR DC-10) north of downtown. The estimated altitude was 35-40,00 feet.

I then noticed a metallic booomerang shaped object approaching from east over the Atlantic Ocean to west. Initial altitude 20-25,000 feet. With amazing speed and rate of climb, it almost collided with the tri-jet heavy, The jet swived to avoid it, and the miss was so close that the vapor trail of the jet was broken by the object.

I was truly terrified a mid-air collision was about to occur, but thankfully it didn't.

At 01:00 hrs looking out my room window I saw about 14 lights moving in the sky, they began to pair off and move in diffrent directions. Two came down in my direction, one moved to the east the other 30ft overhead of where I was. it changed light color as it was comming down, and when it reached 30 ft of me I saw that it was metalic and had windows and someother things on the outside.

It hovered and sort of dipped up and down in the front. suddenly a very bright light burst into my room, It was a orange shade of light, and I blacked out. I woke up standing up at about 04:00 hrs and was very shaken and afraid.

The object was oval and a more narrow front than back, It looked to be about 12 feet long and about 5 or 6 feet wide in the center. It had windows in the front and on each side. also there were other objects on the front that were what looked to me like lights mabe or what I don't know they had a blue color to them.

It made no noise that I could hear, I could feel a prickley sensation, like sound would make if the base was turned to high. When the light burst suddenly into the room I only saw it for about 2 seconds before I blanked out. When I woke the room was as it was before only I was by my door instead of the window.

I was completely terrified, I Didn't leave my room for several hours. In that time I was unable to believe what had happened. I told my mother when she got up and was in the kitchen.

The raido was on and on the news we heard that a police officer reported a UFO sighting about the same time as mine, He was located near burdines mall on Kendal drive, which is southeast of where I was.

UFO lights in night sky, one came down and was wittnessed by young girl. At around 3:00 am at XXXXX SW 39th Terrace, Miami, Florida 33175. On November 16th 1975, I was awake and looking out the window in my bedroom at the sky.

As I was scanning, and looking for different stars, I saw about 12 lights moving around each other. Then the lights grouped into pairs of two, and went into different directions. Two of the lights began to fly into the direction of my area, and then they began to come down and as they descended the light they emitted changed color.

As near as I can remember, they started out as white light, then red, then orange, then yellow, then blue. I lost site of one of them, but one came over the yard in back of my house, between my house and the neighbor’s house. The light was very blue and everything seemed bathed in that light.

It was a craft that was mostly teardrop shaped. It had lights in the front and on top and it kept dipping slightly in the front, as it hovered there. There was a sound, but I cannot explain it.

I have never heard it before or since. I became terrified and I tried to drop down to the side of my bed and crawl under it, but just as I started to move, I saw a very bright burst of light and I think I was knocked out. When I came to, it was around 4:45 am.

I was shaken, and when my Mother got up to start breakfast, I told her about it. My Mother had turned on the radio and we heard the news man tell about a police officer in Dade land who reported a UFO. I have never spoken of this to anyone else, and was afraid to report it.

I did not want to look crazy. I have never forgotten it though, and lately saw footage of similar lights on a tv show. It prompted me, and I have now made a report of my incident.

The object ws sighted from the cockpit of a Choey Lee sloop, docked by a condo on a causwat between Miami & Miami Beach. It first appeared rising from the glow of city lights west of us. At first I thought it was an airplne leaving MIA, but quickly thought otherwise as there was an orangish pulsating glow around it.

It's speed seemed incredible. As it neared us it appeared to be disk like with green & red lights alternately around its edge. When it was about overhead it ssuddenly shot straight up & then headed north as a circular glow that very quickly dissapeared.

The other three observers were my wife, an author, who owned the boat & his wife. The next day my wife & my friend independantly phoned the Miami Herald to ask if NASA had sent anything into space, & if anyone had reported anything unusual in the skies. The answers were negative.

Shooting star stops, reverced direction, loops back and then shoots off into night. Moved across sky like shooting star then came a complete stop. From southeast sky to northeast sky.

Then looped backwards and then shot off into the northern sky. It was a very faint star/light. Lighter than then brightest star.

Flying Disk seen in Fl Panhandle I was just a child, around 8 or so, and playing in my parents backyard. I live in a rural area, but the neighborhood I live in is fairly built up. Because of my age, most people think that it was simply an overactive imagination, or a vivid dream that simply seemed real, but it wasn't a dream.

It was in the afternoon, about 2 hours before sunset, so there was plenty of light. To my left were two tall pine trees, probably 80 - 120 feet high, and too my right was my house. I was simply standing in my backyard, which is probably a tenth of an acre in size, and fairly clear, with only a few trees and grass.

I happened to look up, and coming from the west, moving east, approximately 300 ft up I saw a round, saucer shaped craft, colored like a copper penny. It wasn't moving fast at all, maybe half the speed of a single engine plane, and making absolutely no noise at all, at least not that I could hear. Being so young, I didn't have a very good perception of sizes, or distances, so everything is very approximate, but should be close, because I remember the event vividly.

It was probably around 30 - 50 feet in diameter, as far as I could tell and had what looked to be windows on the bottom. Now, the windows could've been something else, but that is what they looked like to me. There were 3 on each side of the bottom of the craft, and the reason I say they were windows is because they looked opaque.

their coloration was drastically different than the actual copper color of the disk itself. There are realistically a number of things they could've been other than windows, but that is the best description I can give. It simply moved from the west to the east, never moving very fast, in a straight line until it disappeared over the eastern horizon.

I've told people about this encounter, and because I was so young, everyone feels like it was simply the overactive imagination of a child. It wasn't, and I'd take a lie detector test any day to prove it. It was never scary, eerie, or creep! y.

It never did anything spectacular.it just flew from one side of the sky to another, in a straight line, never moving at a high speed, or defying the laws of physics by darting around. It could've been earthly, but I had not, nor have I ever seen anything resembling it.

I do live near both Tyndall and Eglin airforce bases, so it could've been something from there, but again, it didn't look like anything I've ever seen. I know it was real. I'd be very interested in knowing whether or not anyone else in this area saw anything like I'm describing in this area about the time I mention.

silver saucer hovering over an orange grove. Afreind and I where walking on 21st street south in Haines City Fla when we saw a craft flying above the orange grove. Joking that it was a flying saucer I called out "come here".

IT came towards us and I yelled "stop" which it did. Welooked at the object for a few moments.Itwas a silver-gray saucer with 3 lights flashing in order green,white,red.

We walked down the street to his house and tried to get his sister to look at it but she didn't beleive us.I started down the street towards my house and it seemed to pace along beside me.I started to run and it kept pace.

a gray disk with a shinny rail on which a wheel turned on a fishing trip while drinking coffee i stood on a porch observing the lake i felt apressence behind me i turned and saw a gray disk approaching at a very slow speed about 100ft. above me .the disk was headed west to east with a slight wooble.

it was about 10 meters in length and 4 meters high.the top of the disk rotated in both clockwise and counterclockwise directions.the top of the disk rested on a wheel that was on a rail of what appeared to be stainless steel.

this rail was very bright in color,very shinny.the bottom had three 7s which were inverted, three bars of equal length which appeared convex.the disk proceeded to the end of the lake dipped right and peeled off and down to the left and disapeared behind trees at the far end of the lake.

Corroborating Witness I saw a similar report posted here which helped me to narrow down the time frame i remembered. I was in Jr. High at the time of the event since i lived in Miami from 1972-1976 starting in the 5th grade so the 1975 approx date of numerous craft supports what i recall.

My father was Director of ((deleted)) for the ((deleted/entertainment)) Company Headquartered in Miami Fl. He had bought a Morgan 25ft sailboat which he kept stored moored at a marinia on Key Biscayne Island (the same one President Nixon had his retreat on) We were all on my dad's boat to spend the night & then to sail the next morning early due to tidal conditions i believe. That night present were myself(13), my brother(18) his best friend(18) my cousin from PA.

who was attending the UofM(20) her roommate(unknown age) my mother(50) and my father(53)the boat only slept 5 internally so all the older kids were going to sleep outside on deck near the stern. I remember we were all sitting aft talking and it was dark, it's always darker when you are on the water and the miami skyline always twinkled and had an orange glow due to the city crime lights they used on the street lamps. Now we were all used to seeing the planes that buzzed the beach towing the makers and the tourist helo's that took ppl for joy rides and even the Goodyear blimp, but what we saw that night was most definetly not of this world.

I don't recall who noticed it 1st, but we all got to watching a single light that seemed to move very slowly at 1st & then stop, starting from the South Miami area and moved in the direction of North Miami/Hollywood, at 1st their was only 1, then 2 then 3, soon we had a hard time keeping count, these objects would start out white & then change to orange and sometimes pulsing. At times their would be 7 in one area and another 3 in another spot further to the north. These objects would almost increase their radiating light intensity and then slowly almost fade and in some cases just disappear only to reappear in a different location either north or south of their original position.

We took turns looking at them thru binoculars, they were orange with a black hexogonal line pattern on them, but seemed not to have an outer edge due to the glow. I remember getting a frightening chill down my back while looking at them. As i recall, at the peak, there were upwards of 18 of these objects at one time, most centered in the area of the Miami International airport.

The event lasted along time, i'd say 20-30 mins at a minimum. During our experience, our flashlights would not work nor our radio, i also remember my dad pointing out how our magnetic compass was just wildly spinning. It was weird, all we could do was sit & watch and i felt so small & helpless.

I also recall that the next day in the Miami Herald a story about them was printed because the airport had had to be shut down because these things interfeared with the landing of planes and that they had shown up on radar at the airport, i also remember my mother telling me that 2 fighter jets had been scrambled from Homestead Airforce base to intercept these objects (which i can only assume showed up on their radar) and that when the fighter jets got close, they all disappeared(which would explaine the end of our experience). I am ((in my forties)) now & a father, i served in the U.S.

Navy as an Operations Specialist ((technical field)) for almost 8 years and held a Secret clearance. I spent many months at sea looking at the night sky without man made interfearence and i have never seen anything like this remotely similar. These objects moved too fast for conventional means and were not man made objects, i'll take that to my grave.

I to have also looked for similar accounts of this incident on the web, but have yet so far been unable to locate such info. I hope that my corroboration of seeing this event gives the other report on this the creedence it deserves. I swear on my family name and as a man that the above account is turthful & honest to the best of my ability.

10 bright lights move slowly north across south beach sky in 1975 While outside at night at the apartment complex where I lived (Lenox Avenue)a saw about 10 very large bright lights moving very slowly in a north direction. There was no sound but the lights were very bright and round. The lights were lined up from left to right at with equal distance from each other.

They hovered very slowly moving across the sky in a north direction until moving away from our sight. About 6 of us all outside at the time saw the same thing. This happended in south Miami Beach in 1975.

I was in 5th grade at the time. I am not sure of the exact date. But it was night time about 8PM.

Metallic vertical blimp-shaped object Sometime between 1971 and 1977 (I'm sorry that I can't be more specific, but we took so many trips to Florida back then and I didn't record the info), My then husband and I were travelling south through the Florida Keys. As we were about to exit one of the bridges onto a Key, going South, on my right (the Gulf of Mexico side) I saw the bottom of a huge metallic "Ship" - that's the only way I can describe it, hovering near and just above a waterfront home rooftop, straddling the rooftop and the water. It just hung there, just at a little above rooftop level.

I could only see the bottom of it, as I remember the top of it was cloud or mist covered (although it was sitting not far off the ground). There were lots of people already pulled over to the side of the road and out of their cars, gesturing and pointing towards it. I absolutely begged my then husband to please stop, stop, I wanted to look at it, but he wouldn't, just kept looking straight ahead with the pedal to the metal.

(I think he was scared to death). I craned my neck as we drove by to see as best I could, and then it suddenly vanished. This happened so long ago, but I distinctly remember that whatever it was created absolutely no sound.

As to its shape, it looked to me like the rear end of a dirigible, only standing straight up, vertically. Like the bottom of a missile. Metallic gray.

On Santa Rosa Island; Fort Pickens beach while vacationing with family. I was a teen with my sister and other campers on gulf side beach at night. We were watching the "falling star show" off to the west sky.

i live on the ocean in a high-rise condominium.at approximately 3am i awoke and walked over to the living room where my terrace overlooks the ocean.i live on the 9th floor,and what i saw mabe 300feet from where i was standing was this saucer like craft with lights on the bottom of this craft.

it wasn't very large,however it just seemed to be suspended for mabe 30 seconds or so .there was no sound that it made.again i live on the 9th floor .

this object was right in front of me,not up in the sky.it just stood suspended and then without a sound it disappeared at great speed over the horizon. the next day the tv stationsin miami reported sightings of a ufo.

Very large very slow moving triangle shaped craft, no sound east bound over B-line Expswy between Orlando& Cocoa Bch , June-July 1975 Approx. june-july 1975 heading west on 528 (b-line expressway) 1:00-3:00am approx 1/2 way from Coco Beach to Orlando myself & passanger encountered 3 large very low flying triangular shaped objects. They flew over us in a southeast path.

One almost directly over us with NO sound, almost like a "cartoon image" moving very slowly. No traffic was moving in our direction but 3 cars were stopped accross the highway in the east direction. People were standing outside looking up about 1000' away from us.

Lights flashing from white to light blue with some dark red areas. They were clearly visable for 5 to 7 minutes. Although we were young and open minded at the time, because of the intensity of this encounter, our conversation was limited for the remaining trip.

Large bright ship with four smaller ships put on an arial show for me and others on Florida highway. I don't can't remember certain specfics but I'll relate what I do remember. I had traveled with a friend to Georgia to pick up her children.

Her ex-husband decided to come back with us, so we ended up with two vehicles. My friend and her ex were in the car ahead and I had the children with me. I remember quite a cars on the highway with us.

I can't remember how, when, or why, but the next thing I remember is standing outside the car looking into the sky. Everyone was standing outside their cars looking up. There was a huge ship in the sky with lights on the underside.

It would pulse red then bright white. Four smaller ships emerged out of the larger. The four smaller ships put on a performance I'll never forget.

They would fly at ubelivable speeds towards each other and just when you knew they were going to crash they would veer off into different directions, or just stop as they came together seemly as one and hoover then shoot off in different directions. It is hard to describe in words the flying feats they performed. It was as if they were performing for us.

I'm not sure how long this went on but the next thing I remember is the larger ship hoovering just above the trees and people from the highway entering. The next memory is driving home (Orange, Texas) and one of the smaller ships following all the way. From that time forward I have experienced many encounters, usually a small ship, sometimes white light, but usually red.

Huge globe which changed colors, and moved incredibly quickly, but silently. Four of us were traveling south on the Florida Turnpike at night, from FSU. One was a math major, one a criminology major, I was a special education major (now an RN), and I don't remember what the other was majoring in.

We were all women in our early 20's. We were far from any population centers, no lights from towns or rest stops, when we spotted an orange globe, or sphere hovering motionless in the sky. At first, I thought it was a Union 76 ball, but immediately realized that there was no gas station around, and the thing was so huge, that I knew it wasn't a logo.

It was orange, but then changed to red, then dark red, back to orange, to yellow, to pale yellow, then to white, and back to yellow, orange, red, and so forth. We started to pull over to get a better look at it, and it took off straight up. It moved so fast that it couldn't be followed with the eye.

It seemed to leave a trail as it passed through some part of the sky, maybe as it went through some thin clouds. I'm not sure about why it left a short trail at one point, only that it did. It paused, was stationary for a few moments, then disappeared.

It didn't "fly away", it was just there one second and gone the next. The whole episode lasted maybe 5 minutes at the most. I had never seen anything like that before, and haven't seen anything like it since.

Even after 30 years or so, the thing is burned into my memory. Are there any other reports like this one? Oh, and it was completely silent, as far as we could tell. ((NUFORC Note: Date is approximate.
