My wife and myself were traveling to a friends house for a new years party. We started from Coffeville Missisippi on State Road 32 via Charleston to Webb. It was a very cold and extremely clear night.
While riding we observed a large object traveling parallel to us at a speed slightly faster than we were going (approx 55 mph). This object was more turtle shaped than a saucer and large (maybe 4 or 5 times larger than our car). It was at a low altidude maybe 40 or 50 ft.
It's color was a orange greenish glow. There were no windows or ports that we could determine. We observed it for approximately 5 minutes as it maintained a level path on our right side before decending into a swampy wooded area just outside of the town of Webb.
We decided to tell no one and didn't for years. Later on we told this to our friends who we visited and they told us that there was another lady who also saw this object but was ridiculed when reporting it to friends.

Shiny Silver Sphere seen for about 10 minutes in rural North Mississippi circa 1975 It was around October 1975 in rural North Mississippi, four miles north of Batesville. I was 16 years old at the time and was walking along the edge of a soybean field with my trusty .22 rifle squirrel hunting.
I heard a very loud high pitched buzzing sound (like a cicada in the trees--which it may have been) but then everything was silent--even the birds. I looked up over my shoulder and saw a silver sphere just hovering about 300 feet above the ground and 1/4 mile away. It just stayed there.
I thought, "hey look, a weather balloon." but there wasn't anything hanging from the bottom. Not a weather balloon.
No gondola, so it also wasn't a hot air balloon either. It was just there hovering silently. Here's where I acted like a typical teenager.
The .22 had a scope on it, so I looked at the sphere through the scope--looked like a shiny silver ball. I decided, "what the heck" I squeezed off a shot thinking if it was a balloon, I would be able to retrieve it.
It hovered for a few seconds more then slowly drifted up and out of sight. There were cumulus clouds in the sky that day and the sphere was going along the edge of them rising in a slightly erratic fashion. But I was able to keep it in sight while it rose due to the contrast of the white clouds.
The thing that still makes me wonder to this day is how readily I accepted what I saw and how I felt no alarm ((NUFORC Note: Witness indicates that date of incident is approximate. PD)).

3 UFO's over Grenada Lake; Mississippi One August evening I was swimming in Grenada Lake, I swim on my back a lot; I noticed two 2 UFO’s flying at cloud level. They were rolling in and out of the clouds traveling at a very high speed. These craft appeared to be round in shape with a slight dome being silver, very metallic in color.
By there height ( at cloud level ) I would say they were a good size. The Jet seemed small in comparison, like a toy. I got out of the water and ran to my truck to get my binoculars.
This is when I noticed what appeared to be an Air Force Jet climbing and traveling in there direction. It was really easy to pick up and watch the jet with my binoculars but the UFO’s were just moving to fast. Comparing the Jet to the UFO’s would be like a Model A going up against a Ferrari.
These 2 craft kept flying circles, rolling in and out of the clouds;( I have never seen any air craft perform like this ), a third 3rd UFO appeared and they vanished.

Tupelo man observes cigar-shaped craft At approx. 8:30 Pm in the evening, I had just returned home from the grocery store. As I started into the house, for some reason, I turned and looked up into the starlit sky and caught sight of a cigar-shaped craft.
My first impression was, that i was seeing a conventional aircraft fuselage, but it had no wings or tail and was completely silent. I could see round windows or portholes in the craft as it traveled from east to west. I grabbed my binoculars by the door and was able to observe the craft for another 3 seconds before it disappeared over the house.

1975 or it could have been 1974. Full summer. June or July about 1900 hours.
Traveling east bound on the Kiln Delisle Road. A Part of the road known as the Kiln stretch. Crystal clear skies.
Between sundown and dark. That part of the day when you can see very clearly. The slight rise on the Kiln stretch.
You have very straight and flat road for over 2 miles. As soon as I we were on the Stretch I noticed a disk shaped flying hovering over some pine trees on the south side of the road. I asked my wife what in the hell that was.
We were driving straight for it. It was totally clear view. My wife was very very concerned.
I stopped the car between 1/4 and 1/2 miles from the disc. I told my wife would be back in a few minutes. She was very unhappy with my proposal.
I jogged down the highway to a spot where the saucer was just to my south about 200 to 250 feet. The saucer or disc was perfectly clear. It was motionless 15 feet or so ever the pine tree forest.
I stood in that spot for at least 5 minutes. The saucer was a dull silver in color. On the outside edge.
Just over the edge was a series of colors of yellow, blue and red areas. Like windows but you can't see thru. Only seeing the colors could you notice the shimmering of the saucer.
No sound at all. This thing took off straight up like you can't imagine. I jerked my head up.
In about 1/10 of a second if was roughly 40,000 feet up and gone. It is usual for birds to be making chirping sounds. During this time the woods were silent.
I have had nothing happen to me that some report. We never reported to anyone. Now I am a firm believer.
