Bright light over the Jackson area As I was driving home during rush hour and heading east on I-20 near Ellis Ave., I noticed a very, very bright (it was the brightest white light I've ever seen that wasn't a comet/meteor/etc.)large object hanging in the night sky towards the northeast.

I thought it had something to do with Jupiter and Venus lining up, but I could see that to the southwest. I could see the object most of the way home but lost it once I turned off the interstate. About 15 minutes later, I was turning down the street where I live and the object was still in the sky but had changed intensity (it looked more like a streetlight hanging over the treeline at this point).

I have no idea what it could have been, but I know it wasn't a planet/star that I'm familiar with. This is the third sighting I've had in about as many weeks, and the other two objects remind me of this one, too.

5 of a mile east of that location,amber white in coler,with white lights on each side boomarang in shape,clear sky, It mayed a 10 degree turn south and I when't inside to get my cell phone, but when I came out side It was gone, I was hard to tell how fare away It was,and I do have excellent dept praseption,there where no flaws in its turn,thats what got my attintion.

Loud hot air balloon noise heard in the dark of night. I heard a extremely loud sound coming from the NW direction of my house. The sound traveled SE in a matter of minutes and was not heard of again.

The noise sounded like a hot air balloon. I am familiar with hot air ballons because I have traveled in them several times. The sound was as loud as if I was traveling inside the basket.

I ran outside to catch a glimpse of what could be making that noise, but all that was witnessed was a form of a fast moving dark shadow traveling almost invisibly through the faint light in the dark sky. It looked as if the UFO had adapted to its surroundings and became a cloud in the night sky. The only obvious sign that it was not a cloud was the speed of the object traveling farther away, which could not possibly be the cloud that I could see with my naked eyes.

I have had no prior experience with UFO's and would say I am a non-believer. Until, this!.

Lights captured on wild game camera. These pictures were taken with a digital wild game motion camera. This object was captured four seperate times.

Two on 10/19/08 at 11:09pm and at 11:12pm. The other two pictures were captured on 10/26/08 in a different part of the woods. In these pictures it looks like a beam of light but if you look closely it is the object in motion and there was no wild game in these pictures so these objects in motion triggered the camera to take the picures.

I was in shock About 6:30 am I was going to A friends house. I looked straight ahead at the road. I never look at the sky.

This day was different than any other day EVER.I saw an oval shaped ufo like I have never seen before not evan on T.V.

It was moving very slow I was doing 55 and it was moving alot slower than that. I could not believe it. It crossed in front of me on the road it seemed to be around 15 foot up and passed over me moving so slow.

I stopped dead still in the road and was amazed I thought this would never happen to me. I didnt believe in ufos but I do now. The ufo passed over and all I seen after it was around 50 yards away from me and around 15 foot in the air was a very bright light in the sky then it just dissappered I have never in my life seen anything like that.

I used to never look up into the sky, but now I do. I told my love ones they didnt know what to think and I dont either. I know what I seen.

The ufo had NO windows in it so I was wondering how they could see where they were going. The ufo had no sound at at all that I could hear. ((NUFORC Note: Witness indicates that date is approximate.

Two of us saw a flying triangular gray illuminated object above our house and yard. My 11 year old daughter and I were jumping on the trampoline. We stopped to lay down and look at the stars.

Upon looking up a triangular shape caught my eye. It had just become dark and for a split second I thought it was a weird bird. Then I looked at how it flew, from east to west, then back again, then in a circle.

I asked my daughter if she saw it and she said, "Yes I do. What is it? Is it a ghost or a demon or a spaceship?" It moved very gracefully, then turned south and began to fly over us. It never increased or decreased in speed.

It appeared as a triangle with a hollow center, sort of like a boomerang with stripes. There were no lights but some sort of very small illumination like a glow which gave it the ghostly appearance. It was gray, a light gray and made no sound at all.

The thing continued to fly, very smoothly and gracefully, to the south until we could no longer see it. About a minute later what looked like a star, just a simple star, began to zigzag across the sky. It disappeared twice and then flew to the southeast.

We went inside and told my boyfriend, who laughed at us. Then one of my other children suggested we draw what we saw (the triangular thing) in opposite rooms. We did and the pictures are identical.

This concerns me as I've had weird things happen to me all my life - playing with strange objects in my room as a small child (that no one else ever knew about as they visited me at 3 a.m. or so), a triangle cut into my back in the middle of the night (as with a laser) that I never felt happen, a metal rod instered into my heel that I never remember the trauma of receiving (showed up on an x ray).

Strange Lights In Tupelo While we were walking our dog outside the apartments I noticed a sphere like object to the north of Tupelo traveling at a high rate of speed followed by some sort of aircraft with blinking lights trying to follow the object. I followed it across the sky for about 10-15 sec. and then it was gone.

We seen black shadow figures for days and always at 3 am. Then huge orange object landing behind alot of trees in the wooded area. 2 days later at exactly 3 am we were asleep in our tent.

All of a sudden, we heard a loud humming noise, then all of a sudden very bright lights beamed down on the tent we was in. We felt like we was abducted bc we felt like we had missed alot of hours. We can't remember ever laying down and going back to sleep.

We saw a bright green light fall from NW to SE very quickly. My husband and I were pulling into our drive-way last night at about 7:45p.m.

and we saw a bright-green ball of light that seemed to be coming from north of New Orleans descending to the earth at a very high speed. This object had to have landed either somewhere on the Gulf Coast of Mississippi or in the Gulf of Mexico near the beach. The object was definitely in our atmosphere and was moving quickly with no tail or trail of light behind it.

I would love to know what it was.

sitting in the woods at night with a friend i was biking with, a silver orb with a ring of different colored lights appeared Me and my friend were out at the Desoto bike trails riding mountain bikes. When we got back to the car we were just relaxing in the air conditioning. The car lights were acting funny and kept shutting off every now and then.

I noticed a small drop of light moving through the trees and was trying to figure out if it was a lightning bug or a plane, but I never could be sure. This was nothing compared to what we eventually saw. We got out of the car with our flashlights and we were just goofing around.

All of a sudden, my friend calls my attention, “come here! look! Look!” I was completely spellbound by this object. I kept checking myself to make sure I was not crazy and we kept reassuring each other. I was very curious and without fear as the object swarmed around the tree tops.

My friend was yelling at me to get back in the car because he was terrified. I don’t know what would have happened if I continued to welcome the craft. I did not feel like it wanted to do me harm, but I just felt overwhelmed.

It seemed like the more I welcomed it, the more it moved towards me and became more noticeable. It was an orb with a revolving disc around it that was covered in lights, and it moved without any noise, and so elegantly. It was so intricate that it is hard to describe.

It moved in all directions, stopping and changing speed. It even followed us out to the main road and stopped when we stopped and kept observing us. It was the most amazing experience I have ever had.

I am not a crazy person. I know what I saw, but I don’t know what it was. I stared at it for long periods of time, and at one point it was in full view and it was just so unbelievable, but yet so real.

But there were more than one. I saw three UFOs tonight. It seemed like it was responding to me somehow.

I can’t explain it. All I know is that my eyes and mind are open and I am a believer. It was NOT a plane.

It was NOT a hallucination. It was a UFO. I don’t know what to do.

I am still in shock.

2 nearly vertical contrails seen. I had finished shopping and was sitting on the hood of my friends' car waiting for him and noticed two contrails in the southeast. The one to the right was thickening and was obviously older but the one to the left was still being generated by a small silver object.

I've seen hundreds of contrails but I have never seen any that were nearly straight up and down. The object continued making the contrail and then disappeared. It was partly cloudy and I assumed it went behind clouds but the contrail just stopped.

It was gone. My friend finally came out and I pointed the contrails out to him. He wasn't very impressed.

Stars in Baton shape floated from Southwest to the North It was around 22:40 on June 08 2008. My wife her friend and I were in the back yard. We were just sitting around and looking at the sky.

I noticed first what looked like two stars that stayed equally apart in the south western part of the sky. It looked as if two stars simply had been sitting in the sky and suddenly drifted toward the north. Both stars stayed the exact same length from each other even when they turned in the drift toward the north.

The "stars" seemed to dim a little as they drifted. I know for a fact it was not an airplane. It was too far up and it would have been huge.

It was as if a baton was floating in space. A big baton with no center just the two bright ends. * *(1) * *(2) *(3) *.

At 12:05 AM on June 8 My wife and were Northbound on MS Hwy 3 approximately 10 miles South of Yazoo City when we observed a Bright Strobelike Light, with a yellow tint ahead of us seemingly on the roadway.This area is Delta and very flat terrain. As we were about 1000 feet from the Light it seemed to start moving rapidly to the Left and came by us approximately 200 to our let at a tremendous rate of speed.

I could see the light flashing in my rear view mirror for about 2 more minutes. The object was never over 40 feet off the Ground. The Light was very Bright.

I have been through this area many time and am familiar with the terrain. There was no Sound . I did not see anything other than the Light.

Strange sightings over north Mississippi I was standing outside my back door, practically inside the door frame. It was a very clear night, and I was just stargazing while I smoked a cigarette. I noticed a bright light streak across the sky directly above me.

My first thoughts of the white streak was it might be a missile. But then I realized it had no sound, and only lasted at most, 2 seconds. The missile thoughts came to mind because over the past year, and more so in recent months, we have had numerous fly overs at EXTREMELY low altitudes of fighter jets, blackhawk helicopters, and cargo planes.

I actually have a photo of a fighter jet flying over, and as recently as June 1st, a formation fly over occured. I ran inside and got my 12 year old brother, hoping maybe he could catch a glimpse of something to prove I wasn't going crazy at 23 years old! Of course, my younger brother mocked me because of what I had seen. Within 20 minutes of being outside again, we both saw a streak of light go across the sky.

From our vantage point, it moved east to west. It was green in color, and seemed to skip over parts of the sky, as if it disappeared and reappeared right in front of us! It covered a large distance in a matter of 6 seconds, at most. My brother was amazed.

We decided to stay outside and try to see even more. Ten minutes went by, and then we both noticed another streak go overhead. It was white in color and gone within a second.

We both rushed inside and were a little shaken by the sights we had seen. I coaxed my girlfriend outside late June 7th because she thought I was going insane. It was a clear night once again.

We watched the stars slowly appear as the sun went down. We noticed the moon to the west and saw saturn and venus closely next to the moon. As we panned across the sky, going west to east we noticed what we thought was a star.

Moving! We could barely see it, but could easily see the movement. It moved very subtle, very slow, and within about 6 seconds it was completely gone. Last night, June 10th, I decided to go outside and sit on our back porch.

It was around 1:15 a.m. I noticed the green streak again! It appeared to be moving towards the ground, in intervals like the previous sightings.

It was farther east, in the direction of Holly Springs, MS. I went back inside, and that's where I stayed. I've gotten curious whether or not anyone else around the Memphis, TN area or northwest Mississippi area has seen the things I have witnessed within the last week or so.

One more note: The green streaks I saw also seemed to change towards a blue then an orange.

One night when my wife and I were letting our two dogs out before we were going to bed, she saw somthing and yelled for me to come here. When I steped outside I was stunned. I saw a triangle shaped craft with three lights(two red one blue).

It made no sound, except for a humming. And it was going so slow that I waited for it to fall out of the sky. Nothing I had ever seen before could stay in the air going so slow, except for a air balloon.

And I know for a fact that this was not an air balloon. It slowly moved over the trees and when I came to my head again I tried to chase it but it was no where to be found. Almost one month later we saw the same thing at the same time as before.

I am not sure what is going on but it has us freaked out. Now this is not connected to the story above but it happened and I swear on my life that it is true! When I was around 12 years old myself and some friends were on a camping trip with our boyscout troop. Late that night after every one went to bed four of the other guys came and woke me and my tent mate up.

They were going crazy and yelling saying that we needed to hurry up and get out there. When we got out of our tentthere was a wall of light, bright light. The next thing I remember it was morning and none of the other guys would talk about it.

To this day if I bring it up they walk away. Something happened and it has been almost 12 years and they still will not talk about it. When I was about 15 I saw the same thing that I saw here recently.

It was a trianlge shaped craft moving very slowly over the road that me and two friends of mine were going down. We stoped the car and watched as the craft went over the trees. We sat there for a few minuets and then we saw five jets going the same path that the craft had taken.

I know that I am starting to sound crazy by putting all this up at once, but this is the first time I have gottn up the courage to tell anyone else. Around five years ago I was asleep with my wife and for some reasone I woke up. All I remember is that there was a bright white light and I felt like a car slammed into me, knocking me down on the bed.

Then it was morning, and I do not remember anything else. I swear that everything I have stated in this is TRUE! I am not just some crazy guy, but I am very confussed about what is going on. ((NUFORC Note: Witness indicates that date of incident is approximate.

2 bright lights moving at a high rate of speed over Vicksburg,MS At around 8:30pm on April 26 my girlfriend and I were parking our car in downtown Vicksburg,MS to go eat when I looked up and saw a bright light, kinda like a flare a military plane shoots out to evade air to ground missles. It was approaching from the east traveling at a high rate of speed and was even leaving a bright trail as it went by. There was a low cloud cover that night and it was just below the clouds.

I told my girlfriend to look and she saw it as well. When it got about even with my car it took an immediate 90deg turn to the north when and up into the clouds. At that point you could clearly see that is was not one but two(2) lights as they both dissapeared.

The next morning I called the local newspaper and police dept. to see if anybody had reported seeing it as well but nobody had.

same flashing light, doing the same thing, 3rd time this week Again in the same area in the sky (northeastern) we are witnessing a light with flashing/strobing colored lights, (red,green,white). It moves up,down side to side, and in a circular motion. Very quick, not like a plane or helicopter.

Sometimes it is close enough to see the flashing lights and sometimes far enough away to only appear as a star. But stars do not move, actually nothing I have ever seen in the sky moves like this thing does. I see in previous reports that other people in Missisiipp have seen this also, in the same area of the sky.

Is there any reasonable explanation for what we have seen? This is for me the 3rd time I have witnessed this in a week. And frankly it is creeping me out a little. I do believe there is somthing out there, but why are they out there this close? It makes me think that they want us to see them.

flashing light in northeastern sky While sitting outside with my daughter, we noticed a light flashing/strobing in the northeastern sky. We thought it might be a plane or a helicopter. At first it was just sitting still, then it started to move up and down and side to side and somtimes in a circular motion.

We watched it for about 10 minutes, then it just faded away. The witnesses are a medical professional and a high school senior. ((NUFORC Note: One of four reports from same source.
