Triagular object hovering overhead About 8:30 PM EST, my daughter and I were outside. A triangle shaped light pattern, made up of 3 lights at the tips and one in the center, flew in from the west. Once directly overhead, it was easy to see the triangular shape of the object.

I thought it was a plane or jet at first, but it seemed to hover overhead and none of the lights were flashing like ordinary aircraft. After a couple of minutes directly overhead, it performed a "U-turn" and head back towards the western horizon. A V-shape formation made up of approximately 8-10 lights. Approximately 12:25a.m.

on october 31, a friend and I saw what appeared to be a v- shape of lights moving in a southward direction. There were 6-8 lights in the v formation. It looked like a flock of geese the way they were flying.

We watched for a few seconds and then the 2 lights that were toward the back of the v went out of formation, and did a 'zig-zag' around the lights at the very end of the v. As quickly as the lights moved out of formation, they quickly moved back in the v. The formation didn't seem to slow down when this happened and kept traveling to the south.

The lights seemed to be flying higher than a plane, appearing as little white dots in the sky. This lasted for 8-10 seconds, because they never disappeared into the sky, but kept traveling until they were out of sight. cylinder shaped object with no lights or sound with plane following behind it Four of were sitting outside in the warm weather then all of a sudden we saw this silver cylinder shape thing in the sky. It had two silver cyclinder shape object side by side with what looked like some kind of bar in the middle connecting them together. It was heading toward the Ohio River.

There was no sound. It had no wings. There was a small plane following behind it.

We watched it until it went out of our sight. There were no lights on the cylinder shape thing and it and the plane were not going very fast and they were low in the sky. We can't be sure of what it was but it was something we had never seen before.

The weather was really nice outside and people were in the pool swimming. I wouldn't mind talking to someone but since I have only a cell phone I can't except collect calls on it so if someone would like to talk to me I'll be glad to talk with them.

UFO or some sort of object flying over OakHill wva I was On My Back Proch Smoking cannot smoke in house. and i see this bright light that would go up in zig zags and come back down really fast then it started to move real slow with no noise what so ever. i yelled at my wife and she seen the same thing.

then 2 days laster about 1 hour earlier that eve we seen the same exact thing but this time it was just moving real slow same light and yes it was a round light no flashing lights at all. ((NUFORC Note: Witness indicates that date of incident is approximate. PD)).

unidentified object appeared to be following contrail of jet airplane It was a nice clear evening with no clouds and I was out for a walk. I had just looked at my watch and noticed that it was 6:45 p.m.

and then my eyes were drawn to the sky where there was what looked like a short contrail from a jet. But what was unusual and really got my attention was an object that seemed to be following the same general direction of the contrail, but it's speed varied. It was so far away I couldn't tell if it was another jet or something else, but there was no contrail or anything around it.

I took a picture with my digital camera and I can't tell if it is one or two objects behind the contrail. (See photo attached.).

3-4 very large dirt brown animal-like objects floating along side clouds Middlebourne WV I’m not sure if it was the fall of 2009 or 2008. I was on my back deck. It was around 5-6 pm.

The sky was blue and there were white puffy clouds. I saw three to four dirt brown in color (not gray or black like birds look), and besides they were much bigger than birds.but they looked animal-like I knew they weren’t birds, because birds soar or fly and these were just floating with the cloud.

But they had a form. They were definitely not balloons. I also could tell they were quite large, because if a buzzard, the bigget bird around here was that high it would have been about a sixth to an eighth of the size of these things, and it would have been soaring and flying.

They were stationary and were in a line side by side but separate individual objects, not moving any parts, just floating with the clouds. I looked at them for a short while but could not figure out what they were. They didn’t look like anything I had ever seen before.

I went into my house to get a pair of binoculars, but when I got back outside, they weren’t there. I have never seen anything like this before and have not seen them since.

star like light that changes colors It was around 11:00 pm on Sept. 1, 2008, when what seemed to be a large bright star, shone in the sky. I was inside sitting on the sofa talking to a family member.

My attention was drawn to the window and the "star." I asked my cousin to look at the "star" because it seemed to be changing colors. We both agreed that it was changing color from white to red and then to blue.

We then grabbed two other family members and a couple pairs of binoculars and went out onto the front porch. Through the binoculars we could see the light changing colors in an almost fibre optic style. The light hovered slightly above the tree line for about 35 minutes.

At times it seemed to fade and then become stronger. After about 35 minutes it began to dip down into the tree line. After that, it just disappeared.

Brilliant light hovers over mountain We've seen this extremely large, bright, glowing light on three occasions past week, the most recent was this morning and it was alarming! The object hovers silently over Caesar's mountain which is located close to our home. Caesar Mountain is 3,323 feet above sea level, and the glowing object is suspended well above the summit the majority of the time it is visible. At times the object will dip below the tree-line, then reappear minutes later high up over the mountain and in a completely different location from where it disappeared! We've tried to use binoculars to get a closer look, but can't distinguish a shape.

The binoculars do, however, sharply bring the intensity of the lights into focus. The lights on the object will glow a brilliant white, then dim. It also has a brilliant blue haze within the white light.

We were alarmed this morning when the light "winked out" and suddenly disppeared after hovering high over the mountain for almost 30 minutes, then abruptly became visible miles away over a ridge. It briefly shined intensely, and discharged what looked like a beam of light from underneath the object. It actually (briefly)illuminated the trees beneath! It then shot off with a remarkable acceleration of speed and disappeared from our view.

We've tried to find a rational explanation for this object. It's most definitely not a star, and we've also ruled out headlights from vehicles on Lobelia road as the binoculars proved that the object is far above the treeline most of the time. The object is silent and there is no audible aircraft noise from rotor blades or engines, so we're positively sure that it's not a plane or helicopter.

There is a small airport in Lewisburg, WV which is located about 30 miles away in Greenbrier County. The aircraft traffic that utilizes that particular field consists of small jets and prop aircraft. The noise they make is audible when they fly over our area.

Caesars Mountain is quite close to our home, less than three miles away, so it stands to reason that we would be able to hear any noise the object emitted-if it were a conventional aircraft. In addition, the conventional aircraft traffic flying over our area has visible flashing red and green running lights. The object we witnessed does not.

UFO vanishes within seconds after observing for 10 minutes upon aircraft approach! We seen a large circular or diamond Shape with multiple color of lights (red, green, white that we identify) hovering a long distance near a mountain. When we got binoculars and looked closer we noticed an aircart approaching and within seconds we watched the UFO disappear completely. It was hovering with no signs of going anywhere until approached by the aircraft and it sped off out of sight within 2 to 3 seconds.

It was unbelievable.

black triangular shaped aircraft photographed during the day My husband photographed this black triangular shaped aircraft on the morning of July 30, 2008. It was flying over our home. He is familiar with recognizing aircraft types, as a result of growing up in a family of Navy Pilots of the WWII and Viet Nam era.

He is also a licensed pilot with a good knowledge of aviation. We have been unable to identify the type of aircraft and have seen no others like this before or after that day. We hoped that you might be able to identify it.

v shape brillant light in the sky We were all sitting outside in the yard when we noticed this V shape bright light in the sky. Its was bright like the moon. There were no lights flashing or blinking.

Over top was another light sort of like cigar shape. There were no sound. Within a few seconds a plane came in behind it, we could hear the sound from the plane.

The plane was very visible. The bright light traveled toward the river and the plane continued along behind it. We watched until we could no longer see it or the plane.

This sighting was less than 2 minutes. I tried to call the hotline but could not get through. I would be happy to talk with someone about it if the need.

Three UFOs in formation seen by many on the night of July 4, 2008 in Chester, WV. ---My name is XXXX XXXXXX and I'm from a small town called Chester in Northern West Virginia. On the Fourth of July (2008) my town was having it's usual festivities as we always do when out of no where three bright red lights appeared in the sky.

They appeared to be in a triangle formation and moved together in a very slow, very creepy "floating" motion. At my house more than thirty of my family members, anywhere from age 5 to 83, all saw exactly what I saw. There was a concert in town and the city was probably host to around ten-thousand people or more, most of which saw the lights.

I have attached three photos that my aunt took from a different point in town, and I have two poor quality videos on my cell phone that I can send once I figure out how to upload them. When I saw the lights it was approximately 10:50pm. I filmed two quick videos and took off in the direction of the lights.

I eventually lost sight of them but I have friends who were in different parts of the town who claim two of the lights moved in very close as if they were being sucked up into the sky, and the third followed. I originally thought there was only one craft due to the steady formation but now that I have seen many photos and talked to a lot of different eye-witnesses I believe we saw three seperate crafts. No newspapers or stations have reported anything on these lights, and I as well as many others are frustrated by this silence.

We would love to be able to shed light on this.

white light fell from sky and bounced It looked like a shooting star but before it hit the mountain top it stopped then bounced 3 times then disappeared . It did not throw any light beam or light up tree tops, just a very fast, very bright light ? Actually scared me and I've lived in the mountains my whole life, still have no explanation for what we seen.

Cigar shape objects came from the South heading toward the Ohio River to the North Last summer (2008) 4 of us adults were sitting in the front yard when we spotted an unusual object in the sky. It was around 5 p.m.

We saw two cigar shape objects silver in color side by side and appeared to have something in the middle connecting them together. A few hundred feet behind this object was a small plane following it. They didn't seem to be traveling very fast.

They came from the South and was heading toward the North toward the Ohio River. We live on Rt. 2 or what use to be called Ohio River Rd.

I called the news station and all they said was that I have seen something very unusual but weren't really interested. I also called the UFO reporting hotline and I got a recording that they would have to call me back collect. I have a cell phone and can't take collect calls even if I wanted to.

White light going accross the sky horizontally at a rapid speed, then turned red and disapeared I, my father-in-law, my mother-in-law, and my nephew were hooking up the power to the camper when we noticed a bright white round light, making no noise, go accross the sky at a rapid speed. We noticed the light near the moon and decending across the sky and completing its jouney on the opposite end of the sky in a matter of 2 mins. When it acended out of sight it faded and turned a reddish color then dissapeared.

Bright white light flying in the sky, hovering and diapeared before our eyes We were standing outside talking, when we saw a round light in the sky. It got really bright and was flying over us high in the sky. It changed directions a couple of times and flew backwards.

It seemed like it hovered or slowed down and was in one spot. It got brighter and faded to nothing right before our eyes. We didn't think it could be a plane because you can always see the flashing lights.

Triangular craft speeds across the sky over Seattle!! Oh my god, I can’t believe what I just saw!! I’m on my deck at 12 20 am having a smoke and sitting in a lounge chair looking at the stars as I like to do when skies are clear. Suddenly I see 3 lights in a perfect triangle speed across the sky in a North Westerly direction. My deck faces West with a clear view of West Seattle and the Olympics.

I don’t know if it was 3 separate lights (crafts) flying in formation,….or a triangular craft with a light on each tip? Impossible to tell really, I couldn’t see the actual shape of the craft, just 3 lights moving at a VERY high rate of speed, like 4-5 times faster than a jet. It faded and disappeared towards the N-West sky.

No sound whatsoever. So interesting that just earlier this evening I thought “how strange that I have never seen anything” “for sure” in 10 years at this location.…a couple hours later, I’m stunned and freaked by this sighting.

Most definitely not any conventional aircraft!.

statinary object,strange plasma lights that moved slowly from left to right, not airplane, maybe satelite looked as if it was airplane coming in for landing, but didn't move. got my astronomical binoculars out. looked as if it was oval with plasma lines going out from inside oval, and around the circumfrance in four directions.

maybe a satelite? it seemed to move slowly from left to right with the horizon as i was looking at it form my home in backyard 1565 Dixie street, south southwest. i thought i saw a beacon from possible jet around it?.

Orange orb over Glenville WV The sighting occurred around 1:30amEST. Four individuals on a hillside in central WV were present. The sphere was first noticed by one individual and then all four turned their attention to it.

The sphere seemed to be high in the sky, but was roughly the size of a pinky nail at arms reach. The sphere could be seen over the top of a far building and moved almost parallel to that line. It however moved slightly up as it traveled towards the northern sky.

It continued this course for 3-4 minutes before beginning to climb more. At this point something occurred at ground level diverting all attention there. When attention was returned to the skunk the orb was gone.

It could not be explained as to where it might have gone or what it might have been. Certain things such as an individual on the roof of said building have been ruled out though.
