large black triangular craft with searchlight moving slowly A lawyer friend described this to me. He is 45 years old and not the fanciful type. He and three friends were parked beside the local reservoir at a scenic overlook.
They saw a bright light approaching them from above the water. At first they thought it was a helicopter with a searchlight. As it got closer, they saw that it was a huge black triangle ("big as a house") with a light at the apex of the triangle.
It passed directly over them at approximately 100 feet from the ground, moving slowly and making no sound. After it passed over, the object darted away at a high rate of speed and disappeared. ((NUFORC Note: Witness indicates that date of sighting is approximate.

Silent black triangular object flying at low level near Kessler AFB. From the late summer of 1977 to the early spring of 1978 I was stationed at Kessler AFB in Biloxi, Mississippi. The sighting occurred one evening at approximately 9:00 PM during that interval; the exact date or time was not recorded.
My wife and I had an off-base apartment just off the beach on highway 90 which runs through Biloxi. We had been for a walk on the beach and were returning to our apartment, looking up at the night sky. Simultaneously we both saw a black, triangular object go across the sky from south to north.
The flight path was from the Mississippi Sound and over the western side of Kessler AFB, which was approximately 1/2 mile from our apartment. The object had no lights and made no sound. The object appeared to be black, and it was mainly seen because it blocked out the stars as it flew overhead.
The object appeared to be flying at an altitude of between 500 and a thousand feet, with an airspeed of 100 to 150 mph. It was shaped like a equilateral triangle with sides of approximately 100 feet. However, since the object made no sound, and it flew directly overhead without any distant landmarks to compare for size, it is difficult to estimate the size, speed or altitude of the object with any certainty.
I could have been an even larger object, at a much higher altitude flying at a very fast airspeed. The size, speed and altitude are simply my best guess based on my recollection of an event that occurred over 30 years ago. The strangest aspect of the sighting was the absolute silence of the object.
It made no sound whatsoever. It was also strange that it was running without lights, and the shape was like no aircraft that I know of from that era. It could have been a test version of the B2 stealth bomber, but that doesn't explain the silence.
There was no engine noise that either my wife or I could hear. ((NUFORC Note: Source of report indicates that the date of the incident is approximate. PD)).

Sighting of UFO by Fernwood Junior High School band students. Biloxi, Mississippi, between 1976 and 1979. I have never reported this story and have only shared it with my closest family and friends.
Those who know me well enough to know I do not lie nor do I embellish stories. Between August, 1976 and May, 1979, I attended Fernwood Junior High School, Pass Road, Biloxi, Mississippi, 39531, for my 7th, 8th and 9th grade years. So It has been nearly 40 years since my UFO experience.
That being said, though I am a little vague on the exact date or time the circumstances are still as clear in my mind as if they had happened yesterday. One evening I was among a group of kids who had just finished band practice. There were probably 7-9 of us waiting for our parents to pick us up.
If I remember correctly it was for concert band and it had to have been at least 8:00pm or 8:30pm, maybe a little later than that. After practice was finished we were all huddled at the back of the school where it looked over the football field. On the other side of the field was an area of woods and past that lie the beaches.
It was completely dark outside and I don’t remember being cold so I believe it was in the late summer or early fall sometime between September and December. The sky was completely clear and illuminated by only the stars and the moon with a faint glow from some street lights on the front side of the school (north of our position) and from the businesses which lined Beach Blvd, approximately a mile away on the other side of the woods, to the south. Biloxi was east of or location and Gulfport was to our west.
Also lying east of our location was Keesler Air Force Base. My father was stationed there. We were all gathered and just talking.
When someone in the group noticed a bright light that appeared at the top of the trees. Since it was on the other side of the field I estimate it was approximately 200 feet +/- away from or location and based on the its position above the field I estimate that it had an approximately diameter of 40-60 feet. It was a bright white sphere that was completely silent and slowly glided just above the tree line towards the direction of Gulfport until it was out of our line of sight.
It only took about 30 seconds for it to disappear past the tree tops. After a moment of silent disbelief a buzz of talking incurred with questions about the source of the light but what happened next really sent the conversation into a frenzy. As I said the sphere was completely silent but approximately 20 seconds after it disappeared a group of helicopters came into view at the top of the trees to our east.
They were not in a straight line but in some kind of formation spread out from the tree line towards the beach. We heard them loud and clear before we even saw them (which squashed the point that the Sphere was too far away for us to hear) and they followed the same exact path across the top of the trees, east to west, hurriedly scanning below with search lights, along their path, as they passed the school. About that time we heard our parents blow their car horns and we went running up to the front of the school.
We loaded into the car (I was riding with a friend) and excitedly began to describe our experience. We were headed East on Pa! ss Road towards home. I lived in Thrower Park, which was base housing.
No sooner had we started driving down Pass Road when 4-5 police cars, with lights and sirens blaring, sped past us in the direction of Gulfport. This only fueled our speculations. The next day I looked in the newspapers for any word of the events of the previous evening but there was nothing.
Of course we spoke of it at school and I kept watch in the papers for several weeks but eventually gave up on finding out what happened that night. Over the years I have thought of our experience often and wondered about the truth but in my mind I have no doubt about what we saw. During my father’s 20 year career in the Air Force he worked on mission specific equipment for aircraft and I was in and around aircraft frequently when I would visit the hangers where he worked.
Some of the mission equipment he worked on was for the Hurricane Hunters and I was very aware of what a weather balloon was and what it looked like. So much so that as a child I wanted to grow up to be a weather person. I was captivated by weather and the Hurricane Hunters.
We had also lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and been to the hot air balloon festivals on several occasions, during my childhood. I wish I could say I remember the date and the names of the other kids who were present that night but other than my recollection of the experience and a few nicknames I am at a loss. How I wish we had the internet then.
I may not have been able to find any information back then but I have never forgotten and would love to know if there is anyone else out there, who went to Fernwood Junior High during that period, and who has not forgotten either. ((NUFORC Note: Witness indicates that the date of the event is approximate. PD)).

Cigar multi light craft over tree line in Tinsley Ms. My friend and I were walking along a side road near the rail road tracks in Tinsley, Ms. We were in high school at the time.
We looked up and noticed a cigar shaped craft hovering above the trees. It had bright multi colored lights all over it and made no noise. It stayed there maybe 5 minutes then flew off.
We tried telling friends and family but no one would listen. Over time I had forgotten about it. To the point of not even my wife of 14 years knew it.
I am a retired Army lieutenant Colonel.

Peaceful amber lights surround the small craft with high illumination I was at a convience store and a friend speed in and stated he had been pulled over by a highway patrolman. He said the patrolman wanted him to witness with him a UFO. He said they both had seen it.
My boyfriend and I decided we wanted to go see if we could see it also, so we went to the site. It was not there. We then went to a lake to go parking.
While we were parked, in complete darkness, I noticed that it was light in the truck. We looked out the back window and saw two small craft, I would say the size of 3 cadillacs. They were oval and dark except for amber lights around the base.
The lights were very soft but iluminated the area well. They were about 30 feet in the air hoovering. This went on for about 10 minutes.
Then both of them slowly went over the truck to the road. At that time one appeared to land in a field and the other went down the road and it just speed up and disappeared. Although speed up is not a correct description.
It zipped, zoomed or what ever out of sightand left a trail of light. It was there one moment and we were watching it, then in a second it was gone. We went back to the field where the other landed and shined our lights in the direction where it should have been.
It was not there. The other strange thing about this was that my boyfriend and I never ever talked about it until I contacted him 20 years later. We never said another word to each other about it after that night.
((NUFORC Note: Date may be approximate, although the witness does not indicate that fact. PD)).

Two oval crafts with amber colored lights seen in1977. My firend and I were told by another friend that he had just been stopped by a highway patrolman, not for speeding but to witness a UFO. He was excited and we were bored so we went looking.
We went to the location and found nothing and left. Later we went to a lake to go parking. This is what hapened.
We were parked in by an unlit country lake. There was a glowing, but very illuminating light in the truck. I loked out the back window and saw two crafts hovering( NOT MOVING) over the trees by the lake.
They were about 20 feet from us. Once we looked, they slowly went right over the truck. We looked up and saw the underside.
I did not hear a thing. I saw two oval objects surrounded with amber lights. The lights were amazing.
The lights were a soft light but completely lite up us and the surrounding area. I could look straight into them without any discomfort. Anyway after they went over the truck they seperated.
One appeared to land in a cotton field about 100 yards away and the other speed up so fast it just sort of blinked out. We tried to shine our lights out in the field, but did not see anything. We left.
That is the story. ((NUFORC Note: Witness elects to remain totally anonymous. Date is approximate.

cigar-shaped white mettallilc object with four red and green lights positioned beside it - seen in daylight I had entered this report with the wrong time earlier. It was in the afternoon and I should have put 17:00 for the time instead of 5:00.It was in the afternoon and my friends and I were outside visiting and just enjoying the beautiful day.
One of us noticed a very bright white metallic low in the sky, but above the light poles. We all just stood and stared at it and tried to make sense of it. We thought it had to be a weather satellite gathering data.
It was shaped like a cigar and had four small red and green lights, positioned on its "corners," one above and to the left, one above and to the right, one below and to the left, and one below and to the right. These small lights would take turns darting out for a few seconds and then reposition themselves by the bright white metallic cigar shaped object. The larger object was metallic, but it looked unlike any metal we had ever seen.
It was so bright. We watched as all four of the small colored lights repositioned themselves at the same time beside the cigar shaped object, and then what happened next made us decide it could not be something from the earth. It shot up and away at a 45 degree angle at an unbelievable speed.
It was there one moment, and then it was gone. We saw this in broad daylight, and it is as clear in my mind today as it was that day in the spring of '77. ((NUFORC Note: Source of report indicates that date of the event is approximate.
PD)).
