A silent solid red oval shaped craft with no blinking lights is sighted in Toomsuba, MS. Saturday morning approximately 4 a.m.
on 12-23-00, I was outside on a clear and cold night watching for shooting stars and anything else that might cross the sky. As I said, the sky was clear and the moon was in or very near its new moon phase. So it was an absolutely perfect observational setting- though it was just below freezing, but I like it cold.
The area is rural. My family's home sits with neighbors to the left and right or east and west. In front and across the road of their home (South) is a pasture.
Behind (North) it there is woods. The pasture across the street was logged about two years ago, so there is a stretch of land that is relatively clear of obsticles. Where the property line ends at the pasture, roughly southwest, the tree line picks back up and covers a large portion of the skyline from Southwest all the way back North- there is a small opening westward where the road goes.
Much of the woods behind the house were recently logged as well, but the larger pine trees nearest our property line still stand and take up much of the immediate Northern skyline. Now to the good part. I had been outside about half an hour and was looking westward after just having seen a dim shooting star in that direction.
I then saw this solid red oval shaped craft, flying very low, come out of, well actually over, the trees to the North. It seemed to be moving from north to south. I studied it intensely to see if there were any flashing lights- there were none.
The object seemed very low, and very close. I began walking toward it- west along the street. It was moving very slow and made absolutely no sound.
As I walked toward it, its speed noticably increased and very quickly. There were no human defying zig-zags, but it went from a rather large clear red oval shaped craft in front of me to being a rather small vaguely red oval shaped craft much faster than I would have liked or expected. It seemed to fly directly away from me, and grew perceptively smaller as it went.
Also, as I studied it, I think I saw at least two, possibly three different angles of the craft, and it was solid red all around. Nothing but red light. Well, as I realized that it was moving away from me I ran about 80 yards trying to keep it in sight, but lost it to the treeline as it appeared to be moving first due west away from me, then more of a south westernly direction.
I could be off a little or alot on Its last direction due to the treeline, but it was without doubt somewhere between due south and west, but closer to south. After I lost it to the trees (it was also very vague in the distance by this point) I reluctantly walked back to my parents house and silently mused to myself about the fact that I had just seen a UFO. I do not know of any known man-made objects that move with the its velocity, have no blinking lights at all, and is one solid defining color.
Speaking personally for a moment, I must say that the adrenaline rush was amazing. As I ran toward the object, as it made its escape, I was silently calling to it, "come back, please, come back." Mercy, I like the awe inspiring feeling of seeing something that perhaps, just perhaps was created on some other planet in some other galaxy far far away- deep within our vast and complex universe.
I find that the nightlife in this small rural town isn't quite as dull as most here like to believe. :) I don't know if this goes here, but I have video footage of something that flew through the background of a newscast report. I was working at a local t.
v. station in Meridian, MS at the time. I was the only one to notice it because it was very light in color and the sky was in that overcast, really hazy and bright way.
However, as the report was shown on air, I happened to be watching a small black and white monitor, which effectively took away the excess hazy light, and I could see the object clearly. This thing "did" do human defying manuevers as it zig zagged up through then out of the frame. I've sent a copy of it to Peter Gersten, and I'd be happy to send a copy to the NURC if you want one.
Its brief and not particularly spectacular, but it is definately "something" and its movements defy everything that we're supposed to be able to do.

bright light that appears to be aircraft planning to land but then suddenly changes course and flies in opposite direction like a bulle I was driving home at approx. 23:00 hours and was stopped in the median before turning onto my street off of greenfield rd. in Brandon Ms.
(where new texaco gas station is now located) and just happened to look up into the night sky which was a very clear and beautiful night, and noticed a white fireball. I watched it for about 5 seconds thinking it was an airplane getting ready to land at the nearby airport. It was moving from east to west at what I would consider normal aircraft speed, and then all of a sudden it snapped like it was connected to a large rubberband and flew back toward the east.
I was in the military for 10 years and law enforcement for 6 and I've never seen anything move that fast. It was gone and out of sight within less than a second. It was a real creepy experience.

long triangle shaped object with lots of lights and soundless At about 8:45 p.m. on Thanksgiving day of last year I observed a large triangle shaped object flying directly over my home.
The object was about three hundred feet above treetop level moving west to east or from my right to my left.I just happened to glance up just as the object came over the trees and watched it for about 15 or 20 seconds until it disappeared over the trees to my left. As soon as I glanced up at it ,2 lights flashed twice and just before it went out of sight an entire bank of lights flashed all the way around the object.
The object made no sound at all. It was really eriee to see something so large and so silent. As far as the size of the object, the best guess I can make is about the size of an average house.
If I had to make a guess, I would say aprox. 150 to 200 feet long and 75 to 100 feet wide.

Helicopter "Escorting" Strange object with Straight row of Rectangular Lights towards Seal Base At 18:30 Hrs this evening, while in my Kitchen,I heard a Military Chopper approaching. Since I am curious,I went outside into my front yard to watch it.As it approached I presumed it was no more than 700,and no less than 500'Ft.
off the ground.Directly in front of the chopper,(Sounded like a bell H-1,but may have been a cobra or apache),were four Rectangular lights, about 600 or 700 yards ahead of the chopper. They were Light Blue in color, seperated by small Square Red lights.
The craft in front of the Helicopter made No sound. The lights of the craft (from my vantage point) appeared to be in a straight line.(They remained in that orientation as I watched it pass)The last or trailing Light was canted approximately 45*Degrees aft.

3 of us saw a craft fly, hover, and then take off very quickly - all this with no sound We saw one dark black triangle craft with white lights on the corners and a red light in the center. It flew slowly from the north to the south, stopped, slowly pivoted 180*, and then took off very fast toward the north. It flew and hovered about 100 ft.
in the air, and flew soundlessly. It measured approximately 100 ft. from corner to corner.
I saw no flame or engine from the craft. The location was within 2 miles from the Jackson International Airport and a Air Force Base, but this did not look like an airplane or amy aircraft that I had ever seen. I have seen the B12 bomber up close and far away, and it was NOT that.
The witnesses were myself, my husband, and our son. I was 42 at that time, and our son was 12 y/o. I have a B.
S. degree in Nursing, and a M.A.
degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. My husband, 45 y/o at the time, is an engineer with a B.S.
degree who served 3 years in the Army, and he knows all the publically known aircraft. He is a military history buff who has studied military craft of all kinds. There were others that saw this craft as it occurred in a very public area near I-20 and a 6 lane highway.

Man & wife watching contrails witness silvery disc Silvery disc flying from west to east against clear blue sky. My wife had called me out to view the contrails crisscrossing the morning sky. I retreived my binoculars to try to identify the aircraft when the disc appeared just below a fresh con- trail.
I pointed it out to my wife, and she saw it without the aid of binoc- ulars. Disc was approx. 10,000 feet high.
Sighting lasted from 20-30 seconds.

fireball with small round object leaving it after fireball exploded i was sitting facing south, saw what appeared to be a very large meteorite, fire colored, it was at very high altitude, about the size of a dime at arm's length. it crossed perpindicular to my line of vision across 2/3 of the horizon and then the ball dissapeared in an explosive blast. then at the point where the fireball had exploded, a tiny white ball continued along the same trajectory.
the smaller ball was the size of star or planet (as normally seen from earth). the smaller ball came only after the first ball exploded, they were never both in the sky at the same time. this object did not act or look like any other meteorite i've ever seen.
the sound was a crackling thrusting out sound only at the time of the first fireball exploding.

Too fast to be normal and unusual silence along with the craft changing to multiple colors very rapidly. It lasted for almost 10 to 15 minutes. Then some air force jets came ,and it appeared as if they could not pick it up on radar and it was traveling so fast that when spotted they could not keep up.
Almost as soon as it was spotted it zoomed into the south-west. ((NUFORC Note: This student states that the date of the incident is approximate. PD)).

I thought, I was about to see a shooting star, when a lime green ball of light erupted and trailed downward for over 30 sec. It was a large sized lime-green fireball. It fell straight downward.
I was traveling in my car, so I believe it was to be in the northeastern sky. ((NUFORC Note: We are approaching the peak of the Perseid Meteor shower, which occurs on August 12 of this year. This may have been a sighting of an early meteor from hat shower.
However, a 30-second sightng is extremely long, and extremely unusual for a meteor. PD)).

when i was 8 years old, i was sitting in my mothers bed in Memphis,TN. not sure what time it was, i know it was dark out. i was laying there.
i rolled over, and i saw something that shocked me beyond belief. i saw 2 short beings looking at me, standing next to me. one was blue, one was red.
they had no arms, legs. had a head (large) and a thick body, no more thicker than their heads. i rolled over; and then i rolled back and they were gone.
and there is one more thing that happened to me, last year, at my home (not sure the day) it was very late, around 4:00am central. i looked in the sky, and saw a bright orange light. was very far off, but i thought it was just a star.
what happened next shocked me.IT WAS CLOSER! and it keep getting closer hour after hour. but, upon dawn, it was gone.

My daughter and I witnessed 3 brightly-lit craft just west of Tupelo, Ms. near Belden Truckstop. One left a trail, then one disappeared I am reporting this for friends of the family, a mother(age mid-forties) and daughter (age 20) were traveling just west of Tupelo, Ms.
at approx. 17:30 in the afternoon on highway 178 or McCullough Blvd. near Belden truckstop when witnessed 3 disc-shaped craft above the horizon or treeline.
Their vantage point was overlooking a low bottom to the northwest. The sky was a beautiful azure blue, and the daughter had just commented that it (the sky) looked like a huge lake. Just then, they saw the 3 craft, which did not seem to be moving, but was unsure due to the distance.
They appeared to be lit up or reflecting sunlight. After viewing them for a few minutes, one of then dis- appeared before their eyes and, driving on, lost sight of the others.

Wife & Ilooking up saw craft enter field of view traveling E to W at a steady pace made no sound about 180' to 240' above ground. My Wife and I were outside looking up at the stars when a very large triangular object with 9 lights of the same color and never changed equally spaced around the bottom of craft slowly moving from East to West some where around 180' to 240' above ground. The craft made no sound at all.
It had a dome shaped protrusion located on the bottom center. We watched as it slowly moved from our location E. towards Jackson, MS approximately 60 +/- miles due West over a period of around 12 minutes till it was out of site maintaining speed and height.
This was on a Thursday night. The same thing happened over a period of 3 Thursdays in a row. On the 3rd Thursday when the craft appeared once more I had a powerful spot light which I shined on the object and was immediately blinded by a powerful light source that lite up the area as bright the sun being emitted from the bottom domed area in the center of the craft for a time of 12 to 15 seconds.
That was the last time we, my wife and I ever saw the craft again. The craft looked very close to this image I found online only difference is the object had 9 lights around bottom. http://ufoevidence.

I was about 17 years when a friend I was sitting outside of his house talking. His father owned a lot of land and their house was sitting in the middle of a field with a line of oak trees that stretched down their driveway around 200 yards. Their drive way was about 100 yards from the house.
We were leaned up beside my truck talking when I noticed an burnt orange color ball hovering just over the top of the trees. It was barely moving and I felt like it was looking at us. It started changing colors but it was pulsing back and forth from a yellow, orange, burnt orange and it had no sound.
It looked to be about 10 ft in diameter. I told my friend to go get his parents out of the house for more witnesses so he ran inside and I stayed to watch it. It continued in a straight line following the driveway pulsating in color.
My eyes were locked on in awe. It then it then went to one color that blinked twice and it shot into the sky in speeds not known to man. I watched it until it went out of sight and it was a very clear evening with no clouds.
It made me feel like the planet we live on is very small. It was a once in a lifetime event and I have no explanation. ((NUFORC Note: Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information.

I WAS ON MY WAY TO WORK WHEN I WITNESSED AN ORANGE/RED FIREBALL WITH A REAL BRIGHT WHITE SILVERY LIGHT PERTRUDING OUT THE FRONT/TOP THAT ILLUMINATED THE SKY ALL AROUND IT. NO DOUBT MOST PUREST, BRIGHTEST, WHITE LIGHT I EVER SAW. THE OBJECT SLOWED CONSIDERABLY, WHILE GOING IN AN UPWARD ANGLE.
AS SLOWING THE WHITE LIGHT GOT DIM, NOT OUT. THE LIGHT GOT REAL BRIGHT, MORE SO THAN BEFORE, THEN ACCELERATED OUT TO THE NORTH, AS IT WAS GOING FROM THE SOUTH TO THE NORTH. ON THE EVENING OF MARCH, 9, 2000 AT APPROX.
2045 HOURS I WAS TRAVELING WEST ON GOODMAN RD.(HWY 302)ON MY WAY TO WORK AT ESTES EXPRESS TRUCKING COMPANY IN MEMPHIS, TN. AS TRAVELING, I WAS NOTICING THE BEAUTIFUL QUARTER MOON, WITH VENUS (I THINK THAT IS THE CORRECT PLANET) UNDER THE MOON.
BOTH WERE BIG AND BRIGHT AS THE NIGHT SKY WAS CLEAR AND CLOUDLESS. WHILE OBSERVING I SAW A BIG ORANGE/RED FIREBALL WITH A TAIL TRAVELING JUST UNDER THE MOON GOING FROM SOUTH TO NORTH IN AN UPWARD DIRECTION, NOT DOWNWARD AS YOU WOULD COMMONLY SEE A NORMAL METEORITE (ME BEING AN OVER THE ROAD TRUCK DRIVER, I HAVE WITNESSED MANY METEORS FALLING TO EARTH). WHAT MADE THIS SIGHTING VERY DIFFERENT THAN SEEING A METEORITE FALL TO EARTH WAS THE PURE, BRIGHT, WHITE LIGHT THAT WAS ON THE FRONT OF THE FIREBALL.
IT WAS SO BRIGHT AND WHITE, IT ILLUMINATED THE WHOLE NIGHT SKY AROUND IT. THIS WAS NO DOUBT, THE MOST BEAUTIFUL, YET STRANGEST THING I HAD EVER SEEN. AS IT GOT TO THE NORTH OF MY VIEW, I SAW THE LIGHT DIM, NOT GO OUT.
THE FIREBALL DID NOT DIM, JUST THE WHITE LIGHT. WHILE DIMMING DOWN, THE FIREBALL SLOWED DOWN FOR A SECOND OR TWO. JUST AS IT SLOWLY DIMMED, IT THEN LIGHT BACK UP WHITER AND BRIGHTER THAN BEFORE AND ACCELERATED IN AN UPWARD TRACK TO THE NORTH.
NO WAY WAS THIS FIREBALL A METEORITE. I HAVE SEEN HUNDREDS OF METEORS IN MY 20 YEARS OF DRIVING A BIG TRUCK.
