I saw a bright light in the sky (similar to Venus, but opposite Venus ), then it dimmed to a tiny dot and dissappeared. I was driving East just as it was getting dark. I noticed (what I believe are) Jupiter and Saturn in front of me.

Then I noticed a very bright light just to the right (South) of the planets. It was about the brightness of Venus, but it was not Venus. My first thought was that it was a plane but as I continued to watch it I noticed that it did not move or blink at all.

I commented to my daughters that it must, then, be a planet and I was amazed that either Mars or Mercury would be so bright. As I was watching the light it dimmed to a tiny dot (without moving from it's position) and dissappeared. There were virtually no clouds in the sky at this time.

I have seen the same black/dark triangle shaped plane/ufo at a standstill at least 3 different times throughout the past 3-4 years. The first was in 1996 and the object was still above the treeline next to the US-23 expressway between Grand Blanc and Torrey Road exits. I could see the lights on it which it had a red triangle underneath in the middle and a white light in front - it was a complete triangle not a stealth bomber which has like a triangle but v-shape to it.

If it wasn't a UFO then is it a new military airplane??? Well since then I have seen two more farther off and they seemed to be at a standstill also. They were also around the Genesee County area. I haven't told anyone of the last two sightings but I know I'm not seeing things because the first one was so close and visible.

The first sighting happened about 5:15am - 5:30am because I was on my way to work. ((NUFORC Note: Date is approximate. PD)).

Erratic, changing forms light of blue, green and yellow that flew patterns of ovals, a U and bobbing up and down. ((NUFORC Note: We believe the report may describe a "twinkling" star, or planet. They frequently are reported to appear to move in a nighttime sky.

PD)) Our families were all driving back to our cottages from a night of pizza in town. My cousin notice a low star that was changing colors dramatically. He drove home and called some of us out to the frozen shore to see the display.

Here is waht we saw. A low star.lowest in the sky.

Sitting NW of our city of Iron River. It was blue, green and red. With the human eye, the object shifted erratically to the left and to the right.

Than making loops and oval circles in the sky. We were horrified. My cousine got his video camera and while holding it so very steady, this object was dancing across the sky, left right, in out and the most bizzarre was that it would change shapes from a cigar to wheel to diamond to circular.

and we have it on tape. The object in focus, whether through binoculars or video camera was almost like looking at special effects. Glowing, than blurring, than into a sphere that shot rays of green, blue and yellow light.

Jupiter.? I think not. This object was being manuvered and here is the kicker.

it dissappeared out of the sky after five hours. How can a planet do that? How can a planet do "U" shaped flying in the sky? None of the other stars where doing that,.

I just Filmed a Moving and Glowing "Orb" of energy on videotape Yesterday evening my brother(who lives about 12 miles away) called me and said he was looking at a UFO,I laughed and said "really?"(I really don`t buy into this sorta thing).Anyway low and behold I go to my window and look and there is what looks to be a really bright star in the southern sky,upon closer look it was glowing reds,blues,greens and looked to be some sort of star or fireball except IT MOVED.I then took out my camcorder and started taping it.

I taped it moving (in slow zig-zags,angles and twice it shot from one place to another and stopped on a dime,the speed during these "shooting times" was like a meteors speed). I zoomed in (320x digital zoom) a few times and what I saw(and recorded) was a yellowish nucleous with some sort of colored energy bands or radiation coming from it,on both the left and right sides there is something shaped half circular and is pitch black and has no color yet the radiant color spills all around the orb except in these spots.I have the tape and I don`t know the first thing about what to do with it.

Anyway, get back at me people,I`m flippin my lid trying rationalize this. ((NUFORC Note: Report is reminiscent of twinkling star, or Jupiter, which is in that area of the sky at present. PD)).

Huge silent Aircraft flew overhead incredibly low and slow. I was driving home with my girlfriend when I noticed the lights of what we assumed to be an airplane flying very low of to the north east. The only reason the lights caught our attention was thier percieved hieght.

We both quickly dissmissed them as a low flying airplane. (note: these lights seemed far away and appeared to be moving very slowly.) We turned west off of the north bound road we were travling on.

Drove west about 100 yards and turned north into the wooded driveway. The driveway is about 75 yards long and curves to the east to face the house which rests on a hill in a clearing. A soon as we turned toward the house, into the clearing we where both shocked that this aircraft was allready about to fly over us.

It was now obvious that this was no airplane. It appeared to be incredibly large. It was creaping overhead very very slowly.

My girlfriend started to get out of the car to look at it. I was so shaken I tried to keep her in the car but she pulled away and got out leaving the door open. I then quickly got out too.

looking up I couldn't make out the outline or even guess at the total size of the craft. It was a cloudy night and the sky was too dark too contrast between the aircraft and the sky. Not a single sound came from the thing.

The air was still. It had a round blue light in the middle and three yellow lights in the pattern of a triangle. If this craft did not have lights it would have been invisable.

It creeped over head very slowly and eventually went out of sight over the trees. We looked at each other and the I ran up the hill towards the house to watch it float away. Reaching the front porch I turned around to see the craft.

it was gone. I cant understand how something that seemed so large could disapear so fast. It seemed huge.

It was completely silent and then it just disapeared. Of coarse we went into the house and shared our story with the family inside. The thought we were joking with them but soon realized how disturbed we were by the event we had just witnessed.

Bright silvery-white triangles standing on end I 5:00 PM my daughter was in the backyard playing with the dogs, when she noticed two triangle shaped objects motionless in the southwest about 45 degrees above the horizon. One triangle was a few degrees higher and further away. The weather was mostly clear with two small clouds near the objects and a jet contrail running west to east.

They were standing on their bases with the long point of the triangle pointing straight up. They were a bright silvery-white. She immediately yelled into the house for me to come out and see.

By time I got to the back deck, she said they had disappeared like someone turning off a light. At the same time my wife was on her way to work in Williamston MI. heading south on M-52, when she noticed one triangle setting motionless in the southwest sky.

She described it as a triangle sitting on its base with the point of the long end pointing straight up. It was a bright silvery-white and a little bigger than a dime held at arms length. She turned west on Haslett road with the object still in sight, when it disappeared like someone turning a light off.

The duration of the sighting was about 3 minutes.

5-6 Black Diamond shaped Silent Objects What I saw in the sky was 5-6 Black diamond shaped floating objects. They were flying in a syncronized fashion with a centralized some-what larger black diamond shaped one in the middle. They were floating south south-west,north-north east right at the top of the tree tops.

They were close enough to hear if they made a sound but they were silent. It was a clear blue sky and it just so happened that when it flew by at about 35-40 miles an hour no one else was on the road where I witnessed them. The smaller ones were about the size of about 3 full size vans.

The larger one was about 2-3 times bigger then the smaller ones. ((NUFORC Note: Date is approximate. PD)).

three red glowing balls following eachother like follow the leader in the night sky. it was about seven thirty when me and my two friends were by cherry pond and suddenly we saw threee red dots come out from tree tops, they followed eachother perfectly they looked to be red and fast then suddenly they when diaganal and then sort of leveled out, but this cocould of been a plane but not like we saw it. it was really much of light but also an oval egg shaped too.

also the red balls stayed together sort of like follow the leader. It could have been three different ships, or one big one with three big red lights seperate from eachother. ((NUFORC Note: Three students submit this report jointly.

Bright Light High in the sky, moving faster than any satellite We were trick or treating with my daughter on Halloween when I spotted a circle in the sky. It was rapidly moving much faster than a satellite. I asked my husband and my father what they thought it was.

It was very bright, brighter than any star in the sky. We had no idea what It could have been. My daughter became scared and we went home.

Bright Meteor object Halloween night On Halloween night while taking the kids around the neighborhood, my oldest daughter saw a meteor like object coming out of the North and brought it to our attention.It was a little before 7:00PM; myself, my wife, the two kids and a neighbor handing out candy observed it. It was heading to the Southwest projecting a small tail of white fire.

It was bright white and about 50 degrees above the horizon. When it reached the zenith of its trajectory, some part of it fell off like molten white hot steel dripping to the ground. I didn't see anything really unusual about it.

I figured it was a meteor or space debris skipping the upper atmosphere. It disappeared about 15 to 20 degrees above the horizon in the southwest, which made me think it went back into space or burned up.

light traveling at high speed North to South-West We observed a light traveling at high speed in the direction of North to South-West. It started higher in the sky and got closer to the horizon but went out of sight before it hit the horizon. We did not observe any sort of tail on it.

At first we thought it might be an airplane but it moved to fast and it only had a single light on it. The light also traveled a pattern I don't think is consistant with airplane since it didn't describe an arc.

Object burning up in atmosphere traveling east to west at high rate of speed Facing North talking with a group of people (2 Adults, 5 children) on Halloween night; notice from the northeast sky about 20° above the eastern horizon an object that appeared to be burning up in the atmosphere. The object appeared to be on an elliptical trajectory. The speed of the object was much greater than any known aircraft I have ever seen, but was slower than a meteorite.

Continued viewing the object from east to west, as it appeared to be skipping across the atmosphere until it was out of view because of the tree line at about 20° above the northwest horizon. Viewing conditions were clear, no clouds or haze in the sky. My backgrounds is that of an amateur astronomer and have spent many nights viewing the sky.

shooting light over michigan on oct 31,200 at 6:45pm.myself and three other people witnessed a light moving in an westward direction. I have never seen anything move so fast across the sky.

While we were walking my son around the neighborhood for halloween,I noticed a light in the sky. I said "hey a shooting star!" Everybody looked up to see it,but it didn't dissapeer.It moved as fast as a shooting star but didn't fade away.

We watched it until we couldn't see it due to the tree line. Two hours later and more than amile away, my inlaws described the exact same thing.

Large, bright 'shooting star' going from Northeast to Northwest - 18:30 - 19:15 on Halloween While taking my boys trick or treating for Halloween, (about 18:30 to 19:15) my wife and I had our attention attracted to a flash of light in the Northern sky (we were walking west with our boys going to houses on the North side of the street at the time. The light was orange or white (very fast) and was moving into the west. It lasted perhaps 3 to 4 seconds and was larger than any star or planet in the sky.

It appeared to be moving in a downward direction (as if it were landing or crashing). No sound was heard. Later in the evening, my thirteen year old niece stated that she also saw the 'shooting star'.

I thought nothing more of it until Artbell on 2/5/01. Saginaw is about 90 miles North of Detroit and 70 miles northeast of Lansing.

Pulsating object changed colors from yellow to white to red, burst with a ring of red then reappeared Responding to sighting in Northern Michigan 10/28/00 in Fairview. There were six of us out the next night on 10/29/00. My kids were trying to film their own version of Blaire Witch Project.

My son noticed an unusually bright star in the southern sky. We have been visiting the area for 20 years and never saw anything like it. I attempted to report at that time and got many skeptical laughs.

I did get many minutes of videos. We saw a bright white light that was changing colors to an orange and then would "explode" with a ring of light and then shrink. When we took the video home we saw that the object wasn't "changing" colors, it was just rotating.

It even showed what looked like some type of support structure. I would be willing to give more details if interested.

3 triangle shaped lights observed flying in union forming a triangle. 3 triangle shaped lights observed flying in union in Eastern sky on very clear night. Objects were orange and moving from north to south at a steady pace.

Each object was triangle shaped and together formed a triangle.
