Observation of large, illuminated triangle-shaped craft passing over city as we were traveling to Hospital My daughter and I were on the way to the Hospital emergency room, as she was having a migraine that we could not get under control at home. We were traveling South from Ames Avenue on 60th Street when we noticed a set of lights proceeding North / North - West, fairly low in the sky. At first, we didn't think anything of this, as we live near a major airport, and this would not be an unusual approach for an aircraft heading for a landing.
As it got close, however, my daughter said that it seemed odd that there were no strobe or red / green lights typically seen on planes that go by. All this one had was a series of white lights, of equal amplitude, that seemed to be spaced out all along and around the edges of the object. Even though she had a migraine, this was so strange that she asked me to turn off the road we were on and West, just so we might catch a better look at the object as it passed overhead.
We did this, quickly, and were almost directly underneath the object as it moved on its North / North-West path. There were no airplane engine sounds, and more important, we could not see any fuselage. The object was triangular in shape, and there were lights along the edges and at the corners.
We watched as it moved out of sight.never making the 'turn' to the East that one would normally expect an airplane heading for Omaha's airport to make. We then went on to the Hospital.

A number of wintnesses driving in the 132nd and maple area on Omaha, ne stopped and pulled over when they say a very very bright fast low flying object. Bright blue fast flashing outer lights and one red fast blinking inner light. This was reported by my wiffe who is a skeptic, but she said many witnesses were present.
A few minutes after a police helicopter with search light was combing the area. No local news reports have mentioned anything as of the next day. We would just like to know if anything else was reported in this area.
I am a Former Mufon Field investigator and have also rereported this to them.

Powerful-sounding mystery craft hovers over farmhouse, with its vibrations knocking over objects inside. The sighting did not come first - the sound did. I was reading late at night, my husband was in bed in the next room, and I heard the deepest, most powerful-sounding, diesel turbo type sound I'd ever heard, sounding like it was coming across our yard, and getting louder.
The sound rattled the plates out of the plate grooves in the china hutch, and rattled the windows in our old farmhouse. It was loud enough to hurt our ears. Hubby was up instantly, and we both said, "What on earth is that?" We looked out the south window upward, and saw a huge dark triangle shape with rounded corners hovering about 20 feet over our roof.
It had red, green and white lights, not bright, just twinkling, and about clearance-light size. Immediately, it whisked out of sight heading SW. We steeled ourselves to hear a plane crash, but heard nothing more.
The next morning, I called the Federal Aviation Authority and asked if they had any idea what it was. The man said sometimes Offutt (Air Force Base) conducts maneuvers late at night, but certainly not right atop someone's house. He checked a chart, and then said no, we were much too far south of Offutt's maneuvering perimeter.
I could tell he wasn't too interested, and didn't want to pursue it more, so I thanked him and hung up. When I got home from work, I asked our nearest neighbor if he had heard anything the night before, and he said, "Yeah, did you guys start up your tractor late at night? I wondered what you were doing, but went back to sleep." Hubby and I agreed not to talk about it anymore, lest folks around home think we were weird and make jokes, like they did about the family who claimed their house was haunted.
But last week, we were visiting in a group of middle-aged to older farm folks, and found otherlocal farmers had seen or heard strange things too. Two of them reported seeing very bright, chartreuse-green spotlights that appeared to come from a helicopter or something (although there was no sound) focused from above, onto their hog or cattle lots. Then I spilled the beans about our encounter, and no one kidded us at all.
You have to understand, these folks are salt-of-the-earth, practical-minded farmers, who certainly aren't prone to telling tall tales, so we all believed each other. I'm ((deleted--50's)) years old, hold ((deleted)) jobs (family farms are in financial struggles these days,) one in business administration at a ((deleted)), NE company, and my moonlighting job in ((deleted)) at the ((philantrophic company)), as a professional ((deleted)) in their large ((deleted)) center. one bright object which turned into eleven It started with a bright orange or firey colored light which got dimmer then went out and then started brightagain and then got dimmer then went out. The object did this about 4 times , then the fifth time it apeared there were about eleven of them , only alot smaller and were in kind of formation then they just dissapeard, this whole event lasted about fifteen seconds. It was hard to tell how close it was, but to me it looked like it was a mile to a mile and a half away from me, which was south east of me just after the sun had gone down, you could just start seeing a few stars.
The main object was round , i had my binoculars on it for the last single bright object and when it turned into 11 objects. The object really didnt look any different except brighter. I talked to a few other people that said they saw it also.

Black Tear Drop Shape over Offut Air Force Base. The week before the airshow (Thunder in the Heartland Aug 26-28) at Offut Air Force Base, while taking children to school I observed a black tear-drop shaped silhouette aprox 1-5 miles away.It appeared from behind the trees and disappear behind another set of trees.
The craft was flying slowly from the SW to the South. The teardrop shape was oriented so that the smaller pointed end was the front of the aircraft. It gave me the impression of being slow and ponderous.
I did not observe any tail section, propellors or rotors. Since it was a side-on silhouette I would not have been able to observe any wings. As it flew behind the trees I pointed it out to the driver of the vehicle I was in.
We waited for it to come out from behind the trees but, it never did. ((NUFORC Note: Given that the sighting occurred close to an Air Force base, our first consideration would be that the witness might have observed an aircraft. Since the sighting occurred just days before an air show seems to emphasize such a possibility.
The shape of the object is reminiscent of the fuselage of a Hughes 500-series helicopter. However, that is only a guess. We will attempt to pin down the precise date of the sighting.

Multi Colored Panels. Could not have been a plane. To Fast to Be a Satellite.
No Sound At All! My friends and I saw a craft in the air. We thought it may have been a satellite or a space station and could have been. It was enormous in size and was below the stars.
It had multi-illumanated panels. The panels were giving off shapes and colors unlike anything I have ever scene. We believe it was a satellite though when researching it we turned up nothing.
The craft made rotations around the globe. Every 11 1/2 minutes approximatley. I thought it must be some sort of satellite.
No way! It was either a dozen satellites or something moving faster around the globe than anything ever recorded. It kept the same path, rising on the west and going down on the east. What was it?.

orange v formation over lincoln, NE I was a child of 10 when I saw this with my friend. The two of us and my mother were walking to a nearby friend's house a few blocks away at anywhere between 9-10 because it was a dark summer night so it was quite late. Me and him were looking up at the sky and we noticed a v formation of orange objects.
They were very hard to see since they were so high up. We had problems just trying to follow them. They didn't keep a strict v formation though.
It was very much like birds migrating. They tend to stick in a v but every now and then one would move over to the side or so. We knew they weren't birds since the formations were so extremely high up and glowing orange.
My mother couldn't see them most likely since she shrugged it off as child play. We watched the slow moving objects as closely as we could until we got to our destination. ((NUFORC Note: Witness indicates that the date of the event is approximate.

Odd red cloud in clear sky, several small object came out of it moved around in the sky and then went back into the cloud and it faded As we sat on our porch with dad we noticed a very small pale reddish cloud directly southwest, in an otherwise cloudless sky. As we watched much smaller metalic appearing, solid objects came out of the cloud and moved slowly around in the sky. After a short time the smaller objects returned inside the cloud and it slowly got more pale and greyish as it faded away.
There is very little plane traffic over the city which was 1/2the size back then, and military aircraft are not allowed to fly over town and it was Nowhere near OFFUTT A.F.B.
So it can't be that. No hot air baloons or blimps either. This was not in Omaha World Herald, but others must have seen it.
I've only read about 1 similar sighting in Turkey but Many years later.

A white ball of light being followed by something that took off at a speed I never knew existed. Im guessing on the time and date here.I felt I had to report this.
I was at work taking my lunch break.I left the building and walked up the hill to the river which is right to our plant(missouri river). It was dark and the skies were clear as I stood on the top of the hill next to the river bank.
I looked up at the sky and saw a roundish bright white ball traveling verticaly west at a speed faster then Ive ever seen anything move Ive seen shooting stars and this exceeded that by tenfold. It looked like something maybe was trying to follow it.Couldnt tell if it was an airplane or not.
This went on for Id say 10 seconds when all of the sudden the white fire ball in front just went whoooooosh and moved forward so fast it just disappeared and left a trail of light behind it that disappeared a couple of seconds after it took off.I couldnt tell you what happened to the object that was following it.Ive never ever seen anything like it.
After ward I was in shock there was an old man that was our security gaurd I asked him if he saw it and he was in shock also he could barely speak. The next day the omaha world herald printed some ((deleted)) story which I cant remember. However I do remember it not matching up to what WE saw.
I apoligise if my dates are off I just didnt have the resources to report this at the time. This is were the missouri river devides Nebraska and Iowa. ((NUFORC Note: Time and date are approximate.

Returning to work, observed what appeared to be a missle which traveled exceptionally slow. As I was returning to work, traveling northbound on 72nd street- approaching State street (roughly 3 blocks away), my wife (a simple homemaker of 20 years) and I (a network engineer) noticed a white missle-like object hanging in the sky at roughly a 135-140 degree angle. Slowing our vehicle down, I realized the object was not stationary but rather traveling at a snail's pace in the sky west of 72nd at a consistent altitude and did not appear to have any wings, lights nor was any sign of propulsion (contrails) evident.
Although I can cannot accurately estimate the distance that the object was from me with nothing to use for a reference, it did not appear to be more than a couple thousand feet up in the sky as it traveled west/southwest. The object appeared to be roughly about an inch long and a 1/8 of an inch thick if I could pinch it between my fingers at an arms length. The sky was clear with very few cumulus clouds high above and nothing obstructed my veiw of the object.
As I turned west on State street and pulled over to get a better look, the slow moving object totally disappeared from view. I have never seen anything remotely similiar to this object before in my life, especially the weird angle (nose-down if the front of the object was at the end which pointed in the direction that it was travelling) that it appeared to fly.

Saw a black object move from eastern horizon to the western horizon that seemed to be decending at approx. a 30 degree angle I am a 31 year old Network Administrator in Omaha, Nebraska. While driving south on interstate 680 in Omaha, I saw a dark black object, barely distinguishable from the nighttime sky, moving across the sky from east to west.
The object had no lights or any visible source of illumination. It seemed solid in nature, but being only a shade lighter then the surrounding nighttime sky, it was very difficult to see any detail. No sound was heard.
I could not tell the size of the object or its distance from my vehicle. Using the perspective of a coin held at arm's length, it was about the size of a penny. This may not be relevant to the above sighting, but my wife saw 2 fighters coming from the approximate direction of the sighting moving toward Offutt AFB 6 minutes after the sighting.
She made a notation of the time because I had called her during the sighting only a short time before.

Triangular craft seen by three females. I was driving in a vehicle with two of my friends both female. I was riding in the passenger seat.
While looking out my window I noticed a blinking object moving very fast towasrds us. We were on gravel roads outside town near a gas station called Lakw Stop. My friend decided to pull over in the station and we all got out.
By that time the object was directly over us and was only about 200 ft. up. It made no sound but the bottom was lit with alternating red, oarnge, and white lights.
I then began to get hystericle and told my friends to get back in the car. We spend to town and the aircraft followed us about a mile away and then disappeared.

The flying object was moving back & forth in the sky, in a straight line very rapidly. The object was moving back & forth in the sky, in a straight line very rapidly for approx. 10-15 minutes.
I could not make out the shape, it was too distant & dark out, but it appeared as a single bright light. Visually, I would compare it to an airplane high in the sky, but the movement did not resemble that of a plane. I watched the object until it seemed to disappear from sight .
