Nebraska UFO Sightings in 1980

Standard running light, hovers, flies slow, climbs fast and absolutely no sound and no jet engines flames. I was driving home and I saw a aircraft with a light projecting down on a farmstead one mile to the west of the highway. I pulled over to the side of the road to watch.

The ac moved slowly to enter the traffic pattern of the airport that was about a mile to my east. I thought it was going to land so I got back into the car and started driving to the airport to see what it was. It just flew a low approach and flew over REA Hill in Tekamah.

At this point it took straight up faster than a F-4 Phantom. When it was even with the stars it stayed stationary and just shut off its lights. Absolutely no sound when hovering, flying very slowly, and climbing.

The AC had the red, green, and white lights and seemed to follow flight regulations when entering the flight pattern at the airport. Just wondering if someone else has seen this type of ac. Any ideas?? ((NUFORC Note: Date is approximate.

arthur nebr lights!!!!!! its been awhile but i was working as a ranch hand at the bar ef ranch outside aurthur nebr. there are not alot of hills around and i was running with the ranch owners son who was getting ready for football we ran a few miles and got back to the turn off to the ranch.well behind the ranch house there is a big hill even for nebr.

so i stopped at the mail box grabbing my side getting air when i noticed what i thought was a star but then it moved up from the top of the hill then below thw hill it kept on going until there was four of them all they did was go up down left and right and then stright east and up i dont know if it helps but as a 15 year old it think me strange ((NUFORC Note: Date and time are approximate. Massive Pitch Black boulder shaped and jagged edges totally silent zoomed over my window of view at thirty to forthy thousand ft. On, or about 10:10 PM The two of us were star gazing the sky and looking up in the midnight blue background sky. In North Platte, Nebraska the stars that can be seen in the nights sky are brillantly luminated.

Watching the sky counting the meteors and meteorites as they passed over our heads. Meanwhile, my friends sister was just inside attending a birthday party at the skating ring, we were her escorts that for the night. All of us are walking towards his house and, at the intersection of Custer Ave.

and West 13th street, the background sky nearly Jet Black it was late in the evening shortly after 10: 00 PM which was nearly solid black and I'm looking Northward up about 30 degree in the sky, when a massive Pitch Black rock shaped and jagged edges the size or mass of three football fields. Directly, behind the leader in formation two seperate objects split apart about half the mass as the leader combined the same shape and color. Another pair exactly the same just smaller than the first pair directly behind the first pair.

Directly, behide the last pair was a single object exactly the same as the others only smaller yet. So they went from enormous leader the first to a pair that were exactly the same size objects too another pair exactly the same size each only smaller in size to the first pair. The sixth object same shape and color just smaller than the second paired objects and directly behind and in the middle making up what would be the star of David formation.

However, it was solo and directly behind but in the center of the last pair. The final object was out of formation and off and well behind the pack just smaller than all the rest of them. It was like it struggled to keep up with the rest of the objects.

As these pitch black objects the shape of giant boulders with jagged edges raced across the night sky from North to South in my window of the sky view I shouted to my friend to look at these objects and pointed them out he could not see them because the were nearly the same color as the background sky, If anyone including me would have blinked an eye you would have seen nothing, Moving extremely fast they were like a blurr only darkening out the stars as they passed over us like a shadow with pure silence. Then, I took my eyes off the pack for just a second to aid him by pointing them out with my finger and in doing so I had difficulity trying to re-aquire the group because the speed was out of this world. Finally, as I reaquired them on the flight path I was able to point them out again and he saw only a glimpse of a second or two before they vanished into a massive puffy white anvil or mushroom shaped clouds that were roughly one hundred fifty mile to the South at an altitude between 30,000 to 40,000 feet.

They came out of the North on the same level flight path the moment I saw them dash through my window of view. I went home and told my parents what I saw and the were the least but interested because they were watching Ronald Reagan giving his exceptance speech for nomination of the Republican Party for President that Friday evening which is my Fathers birth date. I highly doubt anyone would believe my story I was only fourteen years old.

Very fast moving object!!!!!!!! My father and I were outside gazing at the stars one night. I was about 12 years old. The image never left my mind.

An oval shaped glowing object raced across the sky above us. I didn't make any noise, it just flew east to west in the sky. I was facing south when it happened.

The sky was clear that night and no clouds were present so it could not have been a reflection of light off anything. I seen it plain and clear!!! A trail of light was behind it from probably traveling so fast! It dissapeared into the night in about 2 seconds. It was probably 100ft up in the sky.

I'm not sure where to begin. My earliest memory dates back to when I was an infant. I'm not sure how old I was but my next memory is my third birthday.

I remember a gift that I got and I also remember having this first memory at that time.I can recall even at that age a want to hold on to it and I have. I am lying on my back in the grass.

It is night and there is cool a lite breeze.I remember this because I could feel it blowing my hair around.It tickled my forhead.

I felt very at ease and calm. The sky was so beautiful.It was filled with dozens of geometric shapes.

There were many different colors and they had a soft internal glow that bordered on translucence.They were very soothing and I felt that they were my friends.I know that they were soothing me,like a mother would a child.

I cant explain in words what I felt inside but it was like communicating. The duration is probably about 2-5 minutes.Throughout my childhood,it was always my strongest memory and inspired me in everything I did.

I've always thought that it is what sparked my curiosity about sciece at an early age(got my first shock at 5 by poking around in a telephone outlet). Anyhow,when I was 13,I went to live with my grandparents as a result of my mothers death.I stayed in my dads old room.

At about the age of 15,I started having weird dreams.There were so many that I cannot remember the chronology,but I will state some. One of the first was one in which I was having a dream about eating cereal.

I thought I started to fall back in the chair and got that rushing,falling into oblivion feeling,that woke me up.I was lying flat on my back in bed and someone approached me from the left.I couldn't move.

From here it gets a little foggy,from terror I think,but "he" lifted my shirt up to my armpit then used something to cut me just under my left nipple.It didnt hurt but I was very scared.I then felt a horrible,numb,type of pain.

A pulling sensation coming from the area where I was cut.I couldnt turn my head to see,but out of the corner of my eye,I could see him pulling out a piece of tissue.The pain was incredible.

That all I remember until the next morning.My chest was a little sore and I had light scratch in the exact area where he cut me.I also have no muscle in the lower portion of my left breast.

I'm 25 years old today,I work out,and I still have no muscle in that area. Another dream is one where I wake up in the middle of the night.There is a pink hazy light coming from my window.

I get up and look out.It looks like daytime on an overcast day except in pink.I look to see what time it is and my clock is not on.

No power in the whole house,so I dont know what time it is.I had a very strange feeling at this point and decided to go outside.The sky was overcast and pink.

Where I live was only a mile north of Rosenblatt Stadium and you could see it from the backyard.We also weren't to far from S.A.

C,so on some days you could wee jets flying in that area. I went around to the back and was shocked to se the sky filled with U.F.

O.'s.Discs,cylinders,pyramids,spheres,Etc.

I also felt that they saw me,or better yet,were waiting for me.I dont remember anything after that. There are many more but I am no good at typing and am tiring already.

One day I got up the guts to bring them up to my dad, "jokingly",and he later confided in me similar experieces he had as a young man in that house. At the age of 18,I moved to AZ and the dreams stopped.I moved back to a rural part of NE 1 yr later.

I have been here for almost 7 yrs now.The dreams have started again and now they involve my young son.This also coincides with a recent sighting of a U.

F.O.(it was on the news,on tape).

I really wish they would stop.I call them dreams but honestly,there is nothing more real at the time.I've never told anyone else about them before,and feel kind of silly,but I need to get it off of my chest.
