Nebraska UFO Sightings in 2010

In a rural area, a rotating sphere with red, green, and other colored lights was sighted about 700 feet above the ground in the southwestern sky. The viewers noticed this craft from a second story farmhouse window on the night of the solar eclipse. The UFO was guessed to be a 30 minute drive from their home.

They are familiar with planets such a Jupiter (which is currently shining in the southwestern sky at this time.) The craft hovered for over three hours. The viewers were frightened and did not attempt to get in a vehicle to drive closer for a better view.

They did, however, use binoculars in their attempt to describe the craft. It was, as stated to me, definitely a sphere, definitely rotating, possessing colored lights around its perimeter, and it maintained a consistent altitude. The 40 year old daughter saw the craft, after nearly three hours of viewing.

simply VANISH into thin air. What is the credibility of these witnesses? All four have bachelor/masters degrees. They are intelligent, "sensible", low key individuals who do not wish to be interviewed or identified.

They notified me because I share an interest in the night sky. I can think of no family as credentialed or credible as this family. The veracity of their statments is beyond question.

Four orange objects flying in East sky from South to North. Looking to the East sky towards four orange lights appeared out of nowhere. We watched as they flew from the South to the North.

One by one three of the four objects dimmed until we could only see one. We lost sight of the fourth object the further North it moved, due to houses and trees blocking. They seemed to be moving very rapidly.

Red-blue light over Silver Creek Nebraska stopped and changed direction 500 Lights On Object0: Yes I've seen first, one (1) blue-red light flow from the north west, stopped on the a spot in the sky for 20 seconds then change direction and go in a straight line up and disappears. Two minute late a second light did exactly the same thing. Stopped on the same spot And disappears in the same direction.

cloked ship that the space around it bent as it moved at first we thought that the object flying accrost the sky was a shooting star than we noticed that it kept going and went from where we were standing to the horizon to the south the object it's self made no noise and was hard to see it looked oval or circular but was hard to tell because it looked cloked we could still see the stars threw it but as it moved accrost the shy space seamed to destort around it like if you were to take a cristal ball and hold it up to the night sky and move it the stars bend around it.

I saw an amzingly bright light in the night sky and then it disappeared. I live in a very small town of 1,500 people and tonight I was on my driveway looking up at the stars with a friend of mine looking for Orion (but its not summer), and she wanted to download an app on her phone called the Google Star Map. I was looking at something similar to Orion’s belt towards the West, when I saw a “Shooting Star” shoot towards it.

Immediately after that occurred, she said her phone wasn’t downloading right. I didn’t think much of that, so we started walking towards her car to charge her phone. There was a problem though, everything was dead silent.

Usually you can hear my dog barking, but nothing, dead silent. So then, I look back in the direction of the “Shooting Star”, when I see an EXTREMELY bright light coming towards us. It was heading East.

I asked my friend if that was a satellite, (but I’ve seen satellites before, and it was moving way to fast to be one) she said no, its too bright. As it moved closer, it got brighter and brighte! r from a light blue to a violet haze at its peak, just to the north of us. At the UFO’s peak it took a dramatic turn heading Northeast.

The entire time it was “wobbling” from side to side. She yelled for me to go get my sister and simultaneously, the craft started to get dimmer. So I ran to the house, and got her out there and she spotted it too.

Then, it vanished. This thing was moving at a phenomenal speed. From one part of the sky to the other, it took around 30 seconds tops for the UFO to go to from one horizon the other.

There were planes in the sky at the time, so we indicated it wasn’t a plane, due to the fact it didn’t have any red or green lights illuminating from it. Also it was moving way to fast. After it exited our sight, everything went back to “normal”, the dogs were barking and her phone was working too.

If I had to estimate the height, I would say around 20,000 feet, and if it was at that height, it had to been huge. And, if it was a supersonic jet, you w! ould of heard the sonic booms because I’ve seen the space shut! tle take off. I didn’t know what that thing was, other than a UFO.

Just earlier today I was watching things all about these kind of events. I just want to get this situation figured out. I was a skeptic before this, now I am a believer, and trust me, it takes a lot for me to get shook up like this.

Omaha, NE I'm can't be the only one who saw this!!! my girlfriend and I just got out of the hottub at out apartment's and where walking back to my truck when we noticed a bright orange ball moving _slowly_ across the sky, then it stopped. there where no red lights no white lights. nothing flashing at all.

just a very very bright orange light, then it faded away like it was moving directly away from us. make of it what you will but that is exactly what happened and I'm sure _someone_ in Omaha saw it as well someone has to have!. ((NUFORC Note: Flaw in original date.

Weird boomerang releases spheres, lights. A large boomerang shaped craft released lots of small silvery-white spheres. The spheres glowed blue along axis lines, like laditude and longitude.

They pulsed rythmicly and went off in all directons. One that came close was somehow absorbed into a high voltage (700kv aprox) power main. Then threr was a flash of light and heat, the power went out momentarily, and it was over.

Red light over NW Omaha moving south to north before fading away completely. Ball of red light moving from South to North for about a minute. It seemed to stop, then move North again, before stopping again and suddenly starting to fade, until we could no longer see any light.

Bright white light crossing the sky My wife and I were sitting in our back yard in Omaha, NE,. enjoying the evening. We observed a light in the sky traveling form the northwest toward the southeast.

We watched the light for about 15 to 20 seconds before it dimmed and disappeared. The light was bright white at first I thought it might be an airplane with its landing lights on as bright as it was but as it moved away from us we could not see any strobes or anti-collision lights then it started to dim and was gone. The time was 0148 UTC or 2028 local time.

The weather is 80 degrees and the sky clear the course of the object would have put it north of Offutt/Sac AFB. This was no aircraft that I have seen before. I am an aviation enthusiast and amateur astronomer.

diamond shaped craft dancing over murry nebraska while doing my normal omaha world hearld route a shadow of what i thought was a plane went over the road. I had my sunroof down and windows as well didnt notice any noise so i stuck my head out the sunroof to my surprise a diamond shape object dancing across the sky. So i got farther out of the sunroof to get a better look and it was gone.

Fireball moving from north to south over downtown Omaha. Either circled or a second object passed 2 min later. Definitely large flames come off an object but the shape and size of the object was hard to detect.

Odd point of light seen in clouded sky I was looking out my back door as I let my dog back in, and I saw an odd point of light off in the distance (30-45 degrees above horizontal). I didnt think much of it at first really, perhaps a reflection onto the glass of the door. So I opened the door up and looked beyond the glass and I could still see it.

Again, it was just a point of light, something akin to a star. But a storm had just been through, and there was solid cloudcover overhead, lightening still flashing about. As I watched the light, it seemed to shift from side to side very slightly every 30 seconds or so.

In addition to its movements, there was a 'pulse' of light around it. Thats the best I can word what happened. There was the central point of white light, and in a very minute 'aura' like section around it, there was a pulsing light ring that shifted from red, to blue, to white, and through that cycle fairly quickly.

Bright orange circle object heading North behind clouds. Looking to the west, there was a beautiful sunset with this really unique cloud. I was admiring the bright orange red shining up through the clouds.

It was then I saw a bright orange circle object heading North through the sky and fly behind the clouds. Not sure what it was but I was taken back as it didn't seem to have the characteristics of anything I would expect to see. Not ruling out a plane but it didn't appear anything like one.

Black Triangle 100 feet above my head. At 11:50 P.M.

on July 14th, 2010, a silent black triangle hovered past my dad's house, less than 100 feet above my head. Traveling around 3 miles per hour, the craft headed eastbound. As we stepped out of the car, I spotted this UFO and my cousin ran to the front door of the house scared while I walked and jogged, following the craft for about 2 minutes.

This black triangle had rounded tips with extremely dim lights at each tip. From the front tip, to the base of the triangle it was about 45-50 feet. The base of the triangle measured around 30-40 feet.

Bright white shaped cross moving east then up Me and my girlfriend were getting out of the car at about 10:30pm when I got out I looked up and out toward the eastern sky,and I noticed what looked like a a star in the shape of a cross ,about a little brighter than the north star. I told my girlfriend to look at it and she said is that an airplane, I told her it didn't have any of the flashing marker lights.We kept watching it move toward the east at a slow rate of speed .

Then it seemed to stop and what appeared to start to move away and toward the outer sky and slowly fade away.

Strange light in Kearney, Nebraska After July 4th 2010 I have found myself watching the sky a lot more than usual. And on July 6th at 11:13 Pm My Husband and I noticed a very strange light in the sky moving to the southeast. It passed underneath an airplane as it was moving.

We noticed it was no further than a half mile in the air and about 5 miles to the north west of us. It moved very fast and came right over the top of my house. To start off it was a very bright white light.

But the closer it got it seemed to change from white to orange. As it got over my house my husband and I looked up and the light was so bright we could not see past the light to see what it was. It made no noise at all, which I thought was very strange due to how close it was.

But then the light seemed to fade and what ever it was just disappeared. It was gone by 11:16 pm. Only lasted 3 minutes but it has really intrigued me.

I am going to go by a video camera because it seems as if these sightings are happening more o! ften in this area. I will be ready if I ever see another one so I can catch it and prove to everyone I am really not losing my mind.

One object bright orange traveling at a high rate of speed and very large. Orange square going east to west at a high rate of speed and disappered in a instance in the western sky. It was a very large craft moving at a very high rate of speed.
