Florida UFO Sightings in 1986

Approximately 10:00 pm, saw a very large triangular (for lack of better word) shaped object traveling from southwest to northeast. The object appeared transparent, but had points of red lights on corners of object (maybe 8-10 lights). Not sure if they were blinking.

The object was moving very slowly, emitting no sound whatsoever. We commented about the fact that we could see through the object. Nothing solid.

Almost like a group of toothpicks put together with pin-points of red lights on each connection. The object may have been less than 1000' high. Hard to tell, but it was definitely not a formation of several objects higher in the sky.

This was very low in the sky. I reported it to the Sheriff's department and they denied any other reports. In 2001, another man described having seen the same object that night, and described it the same way to us.

rectangular, transparent, huge object with points of red lights at each intersection moving slowing and low through the night sky. It was late in the evening in December 1986, when I walked out of my house to have a cigarette. Two family members went with me.

As we stood talking, a very huge object became noticeable in the sky passing over our house. It appeared to be very low in the sky, but was difficult to actually tell just how high. The shape was odd because it looked like a rectangular building on its side with red points of light at each intersection.

Must have been around 8 -10 points of light. The strangest thing was that it seemed transparent. We could see the sky through it even though it was a mass of some kind that we could tell was moving through the sky.

The object made absolutely no sound and was moving what seemed to be very slowly, almost as if it was floating. As I said, it was huge. It was not a formation.

We could actually see an outline of the object as it moved. As it was very close to Christmas, it never even crossed my mind when I went in to report this strange object to the local Sheriff’s Dept., that they might think I was perpetrating a hoax.

When the Sheriff’s Department came on the line and I proceeded to ask if anyone had reported an object going over the town, I suddenly realized that they may think I am pulling a prank relating to Santa Claus. I was a little embarrassed, but they said no one else had reported this. In later years I also reported it on, I believe, MUFON, when it was not required that you pay a membership.

Almost twenty years later, a security guard and one of my family members, who had witnessed this event, were talking and the security guard related a sighting he had at the same time and the same description (before this family member ever said anything to him). My father and I witnessed a UFO at Eglin AFB. My father worked on Eglin at the time. I had noticed quite a bit of air activity that day.

It was more than the usual touch and go'S that occured everday. I attended Niceville High School , located not far from the base. My father picked me up from my sisters house and as we were driving off the base heading to our home in Fort Walton Beach we saw a saucer shaped object that was traveling at a high rate of speed just over the tree tops.

It was being followed by two F-4s .also traveling at a high rate of speed and also very low. As the saucer went across the road it seemed to dissappear as it went over the tree tops on the other side of the highway.

At this point the F-4s then climbed back up to a higher altitude. This is my first public mentioning of this.because of the attitude towards people who observe such phenomena.

3 transparent Delta-wing shaped obects flying in formation over the Gulf of Mexico in 1986 In the late spring, 1986, I was at Panama City Beach, Florida, with a friend of mine. It was dusk, and the stars were just beginning to come out. We were standing at the edge of the beach when something in the air caught my friend's eye.

At that time, he was a policeman serving the Air Force in Dayton, Ohio, and he is to this day still employed as a policeman. I had just started graduate school. He motioned to me to look up.

As we watched, we saw three delta-wing shaped objects flying in a V-formation at what appeared to be a very high altitude out over the water in the Gulf of Mexico. The three objects flew south for a few seconds and then banked to the west. As they did so, we both were amazed that we could see stars through the objects.

They were luminous, but not hugely bright. They appeared to be transparent or had a certain hard-to-describe transparent quality about them. As they banked, they increased in speed and, still in a V-formation, they zoomed out of sight in a just a few seconds.

The sighting lasted for 20 to 30 seconds max. The objects made no noise that we were able to detect. My friend and I went back to the house where we were staying and took out pencils and paper.

We went in separate rooms and drew what we had seen just to make sure we had both seen exactly the same thing. We compared our drawings and they were the same. Neither of us were on drugs or alcohol.

I have carried this experience with me for many years and would sign a sworn affidavit attesting to the truth of this sighting.

We were driving on aback road when we saw a space ship side ways and people in a field in a open cirls well we were driving aproxemently 40 mph and it was 1:00am through a backroad when we saw this object in the sky it was like a flying saucer side ways and had flashing lights me and my husband were scared to death it would folow us and when a car would go by it would leve fast then come backas we got of the back road we came to a open spot and there was a very bright light and people in a large circle we couldn't see were the light was comeing from we sped up and we will never drive on a backroad again ((NUFORC Note: Date of sighting may be approximate, although the witness does not indicate that fact. my daughter was born with an in-opertable brain tumor, we were visited late one night by three cloaked beings, when they entered our room is unkown, i awoke to find them standing at the foot of our bed, they were communicating with one another, but making no sounds to me. i thought at first i was still asleep, i could see my daughter lying next to me and when i reached over to touch her i realized i could not move, all that i was able to move was my eyes, then they came to the side of our bed and a peace came to me the one that was dirrectly to my right shoulder leaned over me to touch my daughter and all went quite. the next day my daughter had a massive nose bleed, the clot that came from her nose was so large that it gagged her when we was removing it.

a few months later i took her for a new C.T. scan, it was one of many, past scans, when we arrived at the doctors office a few days later he said the brain tumor was gone, he said it looked as though someone had lasered it out.

She is now cancer free, Why? we may never know the truth, but one thing is for sure she is still alive. and now 27 yrs. old.

the moral to my story is not one of horror and probes but one of truth and goodness.if not for those beings visit i would be placing fresh flowers on a grave, instead of hugging and kissing my most wonderful gift, thank you who or what ever you were. While camping in the late 80's we had several encounters with a silent triangular object 300-400ft above our camp site My friend and I did a lot of camping near Silver Lake State Park just outside of Dade city in the 70's and 80's. All but a few of our sightings took place usually just after dark. This was just the first time that we saw something in that area.

After that on many occations we saw the same type (shape) of object. Also there was a round or oval object that we would see sometimes The triangular object was about 50 to 75 yards from tip to tip. I am 54 years old now, and at the time we were both employed at a hospitals in St.

Petersburg, Fl I (we) didn't want to sound crazy to everyone, specificlly to the places that we worked. I was a respiratory therapist and he was a LPN. We were both reciently divorced and did a bunch of camping during that time.

We told very few other friends about our sightings. Although after the first time it seemed that for about the next aprox. 2 years nearly we saw something that neither one of us could explain.

Anyway each time we saw these crafts they moved almost directly over our heads and made no noise that we could hear. But it seemed that one could feel like a presure or something when they were directly over head. I really don't know how to explain it.

They almost always moved from norhwest to southeast very low no more than 300 to 400 ft off the ground. We were both into model rocketry when we were younger and kind of used to judging height. We even tried shinning a spot light at them a few times but it didn't seem to do anything so we only did that a few times.

The bottom of the triangular craft was smooth and kind of (roundish). The round craft went bye much faster and was harder to make out. For a while we were camping sometimes 2 weekends a month and for that period of time we saw something almost every time we went up.

I wish I could tell you more but thats about it. After about 2 years they just stopped showing up. We both remarried and stopped doing so much camping.

As I said. I am 54 years old now and dying of liver disease so I really don't care what anyone thinks about me anymore. I was a very interesting time i my life and at least now someone else knows.

I don't have any photography but I will try and draw then scan and email the shape area map and direction to you. We did take a few pictures but my friend has since gotten very religious destroying the photos saying that it was the work of satan. I was his camera.

I seen a being made of light in 1986,and never knew what it was. In 1986 (I remember the year because my youngest son was only 6mo.old) I was sitting on my couch watching tv, and it was about 10:30 at night suddenly I felt static electricty pulling my hairs on my arms and neck and felt something was there besides just me.

I looked to the left and saw a person made of light or something like it,and you could see right through it and see structures of bones etc, but no eyes,and it said some thing to me but I couldn't understand what,because it spoke fast to me like a record being played too fast,strangely,I didnt feel afraid at first,but 10 min.had gone by and then I felt afraid because it felt like only seconds had passed.So I grabbed my two boys and went to my ex-husbands house to ask him if I could have the dog for awhile and he said ok, he asked me why and I told him but I dont know if he believed me or not.

But after the dog arrived and ever since I've never seen it again.

Saucer with white gassy bottom approaches beachgoers at night and zips in, and zips away.silently. Me and my friend were sitting on the beach outside a Reggae club we liked to go to, it was late at night.

I'm pretty sure it was around Delray Beach. Either that or somewhere from Ft. Lauderdale to Delray Beach, which was where we hung out.

We hadn't been drinking heavily. We were looking out over the ocean and saw this strange light pretty far off in the sky. We remarked on how unusual it looked and then we saw it zip around very fast at sharp angles, and come closer to us.

I know this will sound strange but it was as if it had tuned in to our thoughts. I say this because it zipped pretty close to us and we got a real good look at it from underneath. It was shaped kind of like a cake, or maybe a Fedora style hat and where the head-hole would be there was a pearly light but kind of gassy and ethereal is the best way I can describe it.

I say gassy because it was like looking into dry ice at a concert. We looked at it for a minute up close like that and were talking about how cool it was but not wanting to get excited and scare it away, and another guy, rather drunk, came up behind us and shouted hey what are you looking at, and it zipped away and out of sight. THERE WAS NO SOUND.

It happened so long ago, it's strange to try to recount. It is hard to believe it was real. But it was, I know what I saw.

Me and my friend lost touch a long time ago, but I did see a special on TV once about some UFO's seen in Florida by many people including law enforcement, like Sarasota or Jupiter Beach or something, and the pictures they showed that the people had taken, some of the pictures were of exactly what we saw. UFO SIGHTING 1986 MY SELF, BROTHER AND SISTER INLAW WERE 3 OF ABOUT 350 PEOPLE THAT NIGHT THAT RECORDED SEEING THE UFO. WE LIVED AT CASA DELMONTE MOBILE HOME PARK ON THE CORNER OF JOG ROAD & FOREST HILL BLVD. THE UFO WAS HUVERING ABOVE A SHOPPING PLAZA DIAGNALY ACCROSS FROM THE PARK.

I WAS THE FIRST OF US TO NOTICE IT. AT THIS POINT I WALKED OVER TO MY BROTHERS MOBILE HOME AND WE 3 WITNESSED IT AND REPORTED IT TO SOMEONE IN TALLAHASSEE I THINK. ALL I KNOW IS THAT THE PERSON WHO WE REPORTED IT TOLD MY BROTHER THAT ABOUT 350 PEOPLE HAD CALLED HIM AT THAT POINT.

THE CRAFT WAS IN THE SHAPE OF AN UPSIDEDOWN TRIANGLE AND THERE WERE RED, YELLOW AND GREEN THAT BLINKED AROUND IT, AND SEEMED TOBE HUVERING UP AND DOWN.AFTER THE SIGHTING I COULD NOT SLEEP IN MY BEDROOM. I KEEP HAVING VISIONS OF GRAYS WALKING UP THE HALLWAY TO MY ROOM.

I SLEEP ON MY COUCH FOR MONTHS.THIS WAS THE FIRST REAL SIGHTING THAT I REMEMBERED.SINCE I HAVE MOVED BACK TO MAINE, AND HAVE HAD ONE MORE SIGHTING.

I HAD A CAMP ON CHEMO POND. ABOUT 20 MINUTE FROM BANGOR MAINE. I WAS DRIVING TO IT LATE.

IT WAS ABOUT 23:15 HOURS AND IT HAPPEND IN THE SUMMER OF 1990. A BIG BRIGHT LIGHT APPEIRED AND FOLLOWED ME ALMOST TO THE CAMP ROAD THEY JUST VANISHED.IT SCARED THE CRAP OUT OF ME AND I SOLD THE CAMP AND PERMENENTLY LIVE IN THE CITY NOW.

White Objects flying during the Space Shuttle Challenger 1/28/1986 I believe these objest are of UFOs. It is a film of the Space Shuttle Challenger launch and it is on YouTube. The title of it is: Teacher in Space backup watches Space Shuttle Challenger.

You need to watch very closely at this film. You need to know what to look for. There is a white object in the film.

It is seen several times. It is left of the smoke or steam. Watch when the girl moves from her spot and and then you will see an object moving left.

It may seem maybe like a flash of light. Just keep following it. Using the little timer at 1:03 there is a white object in top left corner.

At 1:51 you see it almost in the middle of the screen. At 1;54 you see it has move more to the left. At 2:12 you see the object better.

Between 2:13 and 2:16 it is moving west, makes like a swoop and the travels upward. Anyway, just take a look at it and watch it several times if you have to. ((NUFORC Note: We have not looked at the tape, and do not have convenient access to it.
