California UFO Sightings in 1993

Update for report of sighting on 12/02/93 This is an update to a previous report. The main change is the date. Please revise date from 12/20/93 to 12/23/93.

Date of sighting: Thursday, December 23, 1993 - approximately noon Location of sighting: Valencia, CA @ hilltop near I-5 and 126 interchange (34° 26' 50N" Latitude 118° 36' 10W" Longitude) I only have one sighting to share but it has kept me thinking for many years now. I think a sighting can be very informative if the observer notes not only what was seen but also the circumstances under which it was seen. I used to work for an amusement park in Valencia, California called Six Flags Magic Mountain.

I was a senior in high school at the time and worked the summers, weekends, and holidays. This week the forecast called for thunderstorms and a high probability showers. It was only a few more days before Christmas and one of those days when I knew the park would be empty.

That day I was on my lunch break when I sat in my usual quiet spot not far from where Batman the Ride would later be built. It overlooked our employee facilities in the foreground and the intersection of the I-5 freeway (north/south) and the 126 (east/west) in the distance. My view was to the east and toward a small range of mountains on the other side of the I-5.

The mtn peak is about 200 feet above the I-5 freeway. At its base now sits an extension to the Valencia Industrial Center and the northbound I-5 to 126 off-ramp. On the other side of this mtn range is a field of gas wells in what is called the Honor Rancho Plant (owned and operated by Southern California Gas Company).

At lunchtime there was a thunderstorm moving from north to south. It had already passed where I was but I could still see the lightning in the distance and the sky was entirely overcast. About 15 minutes after I sat down I had finished what I was eating and looked out at the freeway, at the range beyond, and then to the clouds.

I was just passing the time I had away from my work when I saw something moving in the lower layer of the cloud formations. It was situated across the freeway and just above the mtn range (about 100 ft above the hill's peak). At first I thought it was a shadow.

As it came into clearer view I thought maybe it was a helicopter even though I didn't see a tail and its shape wasn't quite the same. It was in nearly zero visibility because of the clouds and was inching southward (left to right), much slower than the clouds around it. This is probably why it caught my eye.

It was a grayish tone (maybe metallic), elliptical in shape with the long axis parallel to the horizon line, about 25ft in width, 12ft in height, and had no distinguishing extrusions. If it had any markings on its surface I couldn't see them from this distance (1.4 miles).

Patches of cloud would make it appear and disappear over what was to be 2-3 minutes. I watched almost unblinking at what I couldn't identify. I might add that the only sounds I heard included a light thundering to the south and the hum of the traffic on the I-5.

I would normally have also heard the occasional yell from someone on a ride some distance away, but because today was a few days before Christmas the park was virtually empty. Then at one point clouds passed in front of it, obscuring it completely. I thought I'd lost it, but I kept watching.

15-20 seconds later it reappeared the cloud having passed it. Now it was clearer than ever and it hadn't hardly moved. I still couldn't see any detail and my mind was a blank as to what this object could possibly be.

It was kind of small to be a blimp and kind of big to be a balloon but I guess it could ha! ve been one or the other. Then it did something no blimp or balloon I've ever seen could do. After 2-3 minutes, the object shot up into the clouds instantaneously, like it had been attached to some long extended rubber band that I couldn't see.

The speed was so fast (and the fact that the object was already nearly engulfed by the clouds surrounding it) that, had I blinked, I would have certainly missed this last maneuver. There was no deformation in the object that I noticed in the 2-3 minutes that I watched it. What I did see however was the deformation of the misty cloud as the movement of air suddenly displaced it.

This was the one key piece of information that convinced me what I saw was actually there. A fraction of a second before the object lurched upward I also saw it drop ever so slightly like it was "changing gears" or transitioning from one mode of operation to another. The speed of the final maneuver convinced me that what I was dealing with was not a object of any kind I had ever seen and I thought this maneuver was the last of this sighting and that I'd never see anything this unusual again.

I was wrong. I immediately looked at my watch hoping to record the exact date and time of the sighting, but all I could manage to remember was the placement of the second hand and only for a moment at that. This is why.

I continued to look in awe over the freeway for some hope of an answer. Then, about 10-15 seconds after the object had shot into the clouds, a small bolt of lightning that I couldn't hear at that distance struck EXACTLY where the object (above the hill's peak) had been situated. I was sure this was no coincidence and I've thought about this sighting (the only sighting I've ever had) for years.

Sighting: Valencia, Ca @ I-5 and 126 interchange. Object in cloud hovers/manuevers then lightening bolt strikes at same location. The following was taken from a post I often send to alt.

ufo.reports: I only have one story to share but it has kept me thinking for about seven years now. A sighting can be very informative if the observer notes not only what was seen but also the circumstances under which it was seen.

I use to work for an amusement park in Valencia, California called Six Flags Magic Mountain. I was a senior in high school at the time and worked the summers and weekends (during school). This weekend the forecast called for thunderstorms and a high probability of showers.

That Saturday I was on my lunch break when I sat in my usual quiet spot away from the crowds. It overlooked the intersection of the I-5 freeway (north/south) and the 126 (east/west). My view was to the east and toward a small range of mountains on the other side of the I-5.

The mtn range is about 500 feet in height. At its base now sits an extension to the original industrial center (at the time a small plot of crops was growing at this particular location). At lunchtime there was a thunderstorm moving from north to south.

It had already passed where I was but I could still see the lightning in the distance and the sky was entirely overcast. About 15 minutes after I sat down I had finished what I was eating and looked out at the freeway, at the range beyond, and then to the clouds. I was just passing the time I had away from my work when I saw something moving in the lower layer of the cloud formations.

It was moving from north to south as though it were following the storm but from a safe distance (or so it seemed). It was inching southward (left to right), but at a speed non-constant and different from that of the clouds around it (this is probably why it caught my eye). It was a grayish tone (maybe metallic), elliptical in shape, maybe 25-35 feet in length, and had no distinguishing extrusions.

I'm 25 and a student of architecture. My interests include design, models, computers, and tennis. I don't normally follow UFO sightings but I do post this story once in a while.

I've lived in New Jersey for two years and in California the rest. I don't have a religion and I'm not superstitious. I like to keep an open mind, but I'm often skeptical.

This was just a story for others to read and I hope you found it interesting. I don't expect I'll ever see anything like this again. UPDATE (8/28/00): I decided to hike up to the top of the hill to see for myself what interest anyone would have with this particular location.

From the top of the hill I could see both the I-5 and 126 extending into the distance. I could see one of Southern Calif. Edison's power stations (a whole bank of power line towers), the Rye Canyon Industrial Center, Six Flags Magic Mountain and basically a lot of new development.

I also found the well (a Wayside Equivalent Zone Unit) that was recently installed and which I had mentioned above. It turns out Southern Calif. Gas Co.

has a plant (and a few dozen wells) on the other side of the mtn range. I think Southern Calif. Gas Co.

probably owns the land this craft was hovering over. I spent about 30 minutes on that hill and saw a lot of aircraft flying right over head (mostly civilian but also some military). Both Burbank and Santa Paula airports aren't terribly far.

There has also been some controlled burning of brush on the site (typical of dry brush areas).

1993 Observation of object moving at extreme angles and speed off Catalina Island I saw you on TV. I have only told 3 people this story. I saw what I saw as clear as the laptop i am looking at right now.

Absolutely no mystery to me. I could care less if people believe me but after seeing you i thought a valid sighting was worth recording with someone. I don't tell anyone about it because they would think me odd.

My name is . I am a 41 yr old business owner now living in Santa Barbara, CA. In October of 1993 Orange Couty CA was ravaged by fires.

Hundreds of homes in Laguna Beach CA burned to the ground. 400 approx. Hundreds of other homes burned in the area as well.

Orange County was on fire. I mention this because it seems a rather significant event that may have caused some interest to something. We owned a wonderful oceanview home in the exclusive gated community of Emerald Bay.

Our home burned down that month, October 23rd I recall. With all we had left being a lot full of ash we would come from our rented home to walk on the beautiful private beach of Emerald Bay. On approx Dec 15, 1993 there had been light rains that day and the clouds were light, and very high, but mostly it was clear.

We were walking down the beach for about 15 minutes towards the north. The bay is about one mile long from end to end. When we walked to the North end we turned around and walked back to the center to watch the sun go down.

The visibility was fantastic, we could clearly see the Island of Catalina and beyond. After the sun actually set over the horizon we got up and started to walk back towards our car when I looked strait out, over the ocean, to the south of Catalina perhaps 15-20 degrees up from the ocean horizon. We witnessed an object in the air that had the sun still reflecting off it.

No blinking light. It looked round or oval, i think metalic in it's reflection. At first it just stayed there, for about 3 or 4 seconds.

We both thought, plane, and were about to look away. It seemed like a far away plane was having the sun reflecting off it. Just before looking away the darn thing shot off at an extreme angle and stopped! This thing moved so fast all we saw was a blur.

It stayed in that position for maybe 2 seconds and shot off again at an extreme angle to another position. OK, now it had our ATTENTION. I looked at my wife and said "Does anything we have move like that?".

We watched this thing for about 40 seconds or so. It did about 7 angled moves before shooting off again at an extreme angle only to not be seen again. It appeared to be farther out than Catalina, more than 20 miles out at least.

I am an extremely skeptical person. Nothing I know of could move like that, take the g forces. That is my story for what it is worth.

I will say this. I absolutely believe that object was not of this earth, I saw it, would swear by it, take a polygraph, etc. I also definately believe in what I saw.

I only wish I could have filmed it. Can anyone tell me what can move like that? Since this time I have become an amateur astronomer and though I know I will probably never see something like this again I have become very interested in all subjects having to do with our universe. Esp.

observing deep sky objects. My equipment includes a 25" Newtonian and my hobby has close to $30,000 in equip. to give you some idea of how interested I have become.

Spectacular triangle's seem in the sky It was 1993 when this event happened. I was living in down town Sacramento, California. I don’t remember what time of year it was, but I lived on the corner of 13th street and F street.

I always took my dog out for a potty walk, roughly between 10 and 11p.m. Across from our place was a vacant lot, that I always walked him in.

I took him out that night as I always did and walked across the street to the vacant lot. It was a cool evening and the fog was hovering above the roof tops, when I noticed above me, in the fog, lights. I looked up and was amazed at what I saw.

There were three sets of triangular lights, each triangle was made up of three long strips of light, formed into each triangle. What ever it was, where ever they came from, was huge, I don’t even believe I could accurately describe the size. They were enter moving about each other, they were red and blue.

I could only compare what I was looking at, to some type of computer graphic design you might see on the web. I was so amazed that I ran back into the house and asked my then 15 year old son to come out and look too. He did, and we both stood there in the middle of the street amazed, at what we were watching above our heads, the lights moving in and out of each other, and changing about, while what ever was making them, hid in the fog.

I didn’t own a video camera at the time, or I would have tried to film the spectacular sight that was occurring. We stood there, my son and I, for a very long time. Two of our neighbors emerged from their apartment, and at first look, they laughed at us, like what the heck are they doing standing in the middle of the street.

And then they too, glanced up to the sky above us, and muttered something to the matter of profanity when they too saw the lights. It was at that moment that the lights disappeared. I have never in my life before or since seem anything like it.

SUMMARY: A HUGE black retangular object. At least twice as big as a blimp even with it being about twice as high in the air. No lights.

Seen just after sunset DIRECTLY OVER my house. It moved slowly until it disappeared into the dark sky. It was almost dark when I saw it.

If I had walked out just 15 minutes later, I would not have seen it. The object itself was totally black. No lights.

I thought I might have seen four round circular objects on the underside as it passed over us but I can't be sure because it was so dark already. It was huge and passed almost directly overhead. This was either three or four years ago.

I called my father to come outside and he did. My father and I are both business owners. My Dad didn't believe in UFO's before but he does now.

I have always been interested in them.

Round shiny object emitting three rows of blue pulsing arc rays. I was with my friend at San Francisco's Lake Merced while doing some night time fishing. The night was cool and there was some overcast clouds as we were talking and fishing, then I spotted some lights overhead and thought they were coming from hi-beams such as an automobile.

I thought they might be police patrol car spotlights (we were not supposed to be fishing at night because the lake was closed after dark) So now we were on the alert and thinking we would get busted by cops so we remained silent for a minute or two. Then, across from the lake we saw a bright round metal ball about 20 to 25 feet in diameter peek out from behind a tree top, while hovering some 30 to 40 feet above the ground. At first I thought it was a spotlight that someone was projecting onto the trees, but almost simultaneously I realized that there was no attached beam that could be making the spotlight, plus , it was partially obscured by the tree tops.

My friend and I looked at eachother and we could not believe our own eyes! Then, the light slowly went back behind the trees and suddenly was gone. A few moments afterwards, the light appeared directly above the lake (approx. 100 feet or less above the water) but this time the shiny round object was obscured by the overcast clouds/fog but we could still see it shining.

The next thing that happened will stay in my memory forever, this thing started emitting three sets of light blue arced pulse-typed light rays. They were coming down in three rows and when they hit the surface of the water they simultaneously bounced back up through the arc stream for about 10 to 15 seconds and this thing made absolutely no noise. After this , it took off and was gone forever.

This event happened 12 years ago but I remember most of the details clearly as if it just happened. After watching Peter Jennings' report on UFO's two nights ago, I learned of the National UFO Reporting Center and this was my experience. Large sphere witnessed at music festival. One night myself and a couple friends were off-roading in the foothills behind Millpond in Bishop, Ca. We stopped at one point to look down into the valley to look at the lights coming from the music festival that happens every year there.

We noticed a light coming from farther back into the hills and all noticed how the light neither changed position, nor intensity as it came towards us. It was distant enough that we could not make out any detail as to what it was or its size, but just upon casual observation, it was obvious it was not a car or anyone carrying a light. I jokingly flashed an SOS at it a few times.

Our friend who was driving us around in his truck said he had to go, so he could take his mom to work. So we jumped into his pickup, a Nissan extra-cab, and drove back into town. I had thought nothing of the incident until my Mom had asked me a number of days later if I had seen the UFO article in the Register newspaper.

It described a ball of light some 100-200 feet in diameter, and how it had passed over the Millpond area and the sighting of it by hundreds of people, there was also a contact number in the article (at the end IIRC) for anyone that had anything to say about it, I don't believe the number was a local one. Red/Amber Orb falling from the sky. At 8:00 in the evening, around September 9th, 1993, my younger brother and I witnessed a red/amber orb. I was driving my car, and I saw this orb falling very fast out of the sky.

The only object I ever saw falling that fast was a falling star. Then, in the middle of its fall, it performed about 3-5 horizontal figure eights, and continued its fall-down. I continued to follow it up a hill towards my home.

I lost it for about a mile (many trees lined the road). When I came to the top of the hill, the object was a few hundred feet ahead of us, and hovering above the stoplight. After hovering for a few seconds, it took off towards the West at tremendous speed.

Huge disk with hour glass directly above (center) silver type ball, moving eractly, but in some sort of sync with each pattern different colored lights would react accordingly,and above the ball a gigantic looking skyscraper. People kept passing us on the highway and stopping But these people were giving off a feeling to me as though they missed the bus. Will never forget that smell (Corona) from the intense energy it was at tree top level gliding alongside the highway as my wife and i drove.

there was a meteor shower that we went to watch at the park. three triangle shaped craft passed by 500 - 1000 feet overhead I was working at air force plant 42,site 4, on the B-2 bomber in Palmdale, ca. I went with friends to watch a meteor shower in the desert.

It was late at night and we could hear normal night desert sounds. We were all watching the falling stars when one person noticed lights slowly approaching. As the lights neared us we saw three triangle shaped craft flying in a triangle formation.

The craft were (RAM?)black, with three lights on each one. I do not remember which lights were red and which were white, but each craft had red and white lights on the 3 points. The craft were 500 to 1000 feet above us as they went past.

They were moving at about 350 mph judging by how low they were and how long it took them to pass. They were completely silent, as they passed we still heard the desert night sounds. there were no car engines running or lights on,(so I do not know if they would have had any effect on them,) as we were all watching the sky.

Most of us they worked at the air force plant and held security clearances, but none of us had ever seen any craft like that before. We were all used to watching fighters and bombers fly by, so were used to judging aircraft size and speed. We had never saw an aircraft that was a perfect triangle float past us at 350 mph though! They flew/floated overhead and vanished in the distance.

The profile of the craft were very low. We saw the light before we saw the craft and the craft outline vanished before the lights disappeared. We were used to seeing F117 fighters, and these were not shaped like them.

I worked briefly on the first F22's and they were not flying yet. Besides, both of these craft make a lot of noise and cannot glide that long and that low without power. This craft was powered by magnetics or atomic/nuclear fuel.

There was no exhaust vents visible on the trailing edge of any of the three craft. It was probably 11:30 at night and as they passed no heat from them distorted any stars behind them as they passed. I heard of Art Bell seeing a single triangle craft abou! t the same time, or a bit after we saw these three.

The artists rendition of his craft on his web page makes the craft way to big. They were all three the size of an F15 or F16, not any bigger than that. I realize this happened in 1993, and it is now 1998, but I told the story to people I worked with when I was transferred from Palmdale to Everett, Wa.

Those people could vouch that I told them about it in 1993. Besides, I did not know who else would care, as it was not the classic round ball of light or flying saucer sighting, and we did not have any camera's.

Saucer in California with Red, White, and Blue lights seen when driving This happened when we were living in California. I was with my mom and bro, I was probably around 6, my bro 11. I guess there was a meteor shower or something so we took a drive out to nowhere, just desert with mountains in the distant, this kind of setting may be hard to find now but remember this was 10 years ago :P .

So keep the picture in your head I want you to see exactly what we did. we are coming home from stargazing now and all you see is flat, kinda sandy, dirt everywhere. a straight rode in front of you and mountains on the left.

Alright so we were driving straight ahead, no other cars on the road and we came across these water pump things and hovering over them was a huge craft! The best way I can describe this thing was it looked like a stereotypical saucer. The kind of things you would see in cartoons.a saucer shape, with the glass kind of bubble on top, black all the way around it and blinking lights on the sides.

The lights blinking though is the thing that confuses us the most because the colors of the lights were red, white and blue.government craft??? We have no clue. Now you wont believe this but it was within I'd say 100 yards away from us on the left side of the road!! And so you get a feeling of what we saw, it wasnt "a light in the sky".

it was like.imagine standing in your driveway and looking across the street at the house on the other side. only hovering about 50 yards off the ground.

thats the best way i can describe the distance away from us and the size of this thing. And it made NO NOISE!!! We just drove slowly along, staring at it, and it was going the same speed as us in the same direction, I guess following us in curiosity.or wanted to kill us :P And so we were in awe, we had no clue what to think or do at the moment, and I was only 6 so I got out of my seat in the back of the van and crawled in between the two front seats.

Then out of nowhere the thing literally was behind the mountains that were way off in the distance in 2 seconds!! So obviously we sped down the road to get a look behind the mountains and it wasnt there, I still cant believe what we saw to this day. I really wish others could have seen it. triangular object flew right over us i was sitting by the pool with a friend at around 4 am. we were looking out into the night sky, talking. When we both noticed a single light appear in the sky pretty far out.

it looked like a spot light at first , yet it had no glow to it. we sat there observing this light for about 5 min. when i said to my friend that i think it is coming in our direction.

that was exactly what was happening. this object was heading right for us and about 5 min more it had reached our field of vision. my friend got scared and ran towards the house front door but stayed outside.

i on the other hand was fixated on this thing going slowly towards my direction. it appeared to be about 15-20 ft above. moving extremely slow.

the light appeared to be on the upper part of it. i'm guessing it was about 10 - 20 ft infront of us when the light moved behind it. this object continued towards us.

it went right over us it appeared triangular on the bottom but it wasn't sharp edges, sort of round. no light reflected from it and when it was directly over us i saw what i thought was some form of energy movement from underneath it. which appeared rusty reddish in color with a dull illumination.

it had a pattern swirling in the center and shooting in the opposite direction of the nose or the point of the object. it appeared to be a dark object with no reflection of any kind and no noise of any kind. the object was approximatly 15 ft long and about 10 feet wide at its bottom.

it appeared to be flat on the bottom but not ontop, sort of dome like. we both watched this thing for about 30 to 40 min until it was way out there. then we saw two other lights moving from two other areas and all three were meeting up towards the same point then they all shot up at extremely fast speed into space.

even though it sounds absurd, it really happened. i waited so long simply because what i saw was truly life changing! i didn't feel anyone would believe me so i only told one person besides you. after i wrote you i recalled some very important info.

i did see this thing at a very close distance and for a very long time. i do not want anything in return, i am not doing this for recognition. if you all have never seen anything like this i am astounded, because this is my secound time, at the same distance but different object.

Bright stroboscopic light slowly passes by within 100 yards, and leaves with an otherworldly piercing whistle. I grew up in a small town in northern California. Cloverdale is situated 90 miles north of San Francisco, at the north end of Sonoma county it is surrounded by rolling hills and vineyards.

The geyser’s (at one time the world’s largest geothermal power plant) sits about sixteen miles to the east. This area was considered sacred ground by the Indians of the area and they made trips there for healing and ceremonial rites. My father worked at the geysers for about twenty years.

During his many night shifts he and others had seen several un explainable lights in the sky. During the early nineties the area known as the geysers, along the borders of Lake, Sonoma, and Napa counties was known as a UFO hotspot. I had many sightings alone and with other people beginning around 1989.

This particular event happened in the summer of 1992, along the road to the geysers at roughly 3 am. I was with two friends C and G who were parked along the side of the road. We were on a slight bluff overlooking Geyser’s creek, facing up the river valley towards the east and the geysers.

Suddenly C. or G. said, "What’s that?" There was a super bright white/blue stroboscopic light, blinking two or three times a second heading just towards us from up stream.

The light appeared suddenly from a hill around a bend in the river. It was slowly following the path of the creek, at a very low altitude and slower than a plane. It was lower than the tops of the hillsides on either side of the river valley, maybe 100 feet high… It kept getting closer and closer and all I could see was the light blinking almost hypnotically… The light was so bright that one couldn’t make out a shape.

It was as if there were no craft, but only a light. Eventually the light reached where we were and passed us just above the tree tops and disappeared behind the hill to the west. It was heading in the direction of town… It floated by extremely close, within a hundred yards or so and we all noticed that it didn’t make any sound… none… zero… if it had been a plane or a helicopter or whatever we would have heard it the entire time we saw it, it was that close.

This is where it gets weirder. My friends (who themselves are avid ufo observers) got in their car and turned around to try and follow it. I was left alone with my truck.

I went to relieve myself behind my truck, feeling quite dismayed by what we had just seen. All of a sudden I heard a sound that seemed to be the birds in the trees chirping in unison! Now this is at three in the morning when birds do not chirp. Suddenly, the chirping became louder and so intense that I could feel the vibrations turning my stomach, not unlike when at a concert, the bass rattles your pant leg.

Although this was an otherworldly sensation, the chirping was at such a vibratory wavelength that it made me feel as if my head were going to implode… I almost fell to my knees from its force… slowly it faded, sounding like a cross between a flute and a whistle. Brilliant vertical ring of lights moved silently and slowly over lake, then turned, illuminating the surrounding hills. At 2:00am on a warm August night, my then ten year old son and I drove a few miles from our home in Greenville to Round Valley Lake to meet a friend(i'll call him Frank) for a night of catfishing. It is a very twisty winding road for just a few miles to the lake.

About a mile before we got to the lake, my son, sitting in the front passenger seat, said “dad, is that a full moon out?” I leaned over to look and saw a brilliant white light about a quarter mile away across a canyon and behind the trees on the ridge. I thought it must be a full moon and told my son “looks like it” and kept driving not thinking anything else about it. Around a minute later, we turned to go across the small dam at the lake, drove maybe 100 yards and almost hit my friend Frank who was walking fast towards us in the middle of the road.

I stopped fast, and could tell something was wrong. Franks eyes were wide open, and he was yelling something before I could even roll my window down to ask him what he was doing in the middle of the road. The first thing I heard him yelling was “Did you see it? Did you see it? Did you see the F***ing light?” I had known Frank about 7 years at that time, and had never seen him act anything like this before.

I shut off my engine, and turned off the lights on my jeep, got out and said “What light? I saw the full moon.” I looked up to see the full moon, but it was a moonless night. Just then, Frank said “LOOK…….

there it is”. That’s when we all 3 saw it going away from us, going slightly right to left through Long Valley, just North of the lake we were standing at. It was silent, and very bright white.

It moved slowly, perhaps 10 MPH about 100 feet above the ground lighting up the surrounding hills as it moved along. From there it just moved towards the West and within a few minutes was gone. Catfishing was good that night after all.

Frank told us that it was a ring of lights, some different colored ones, and mostly white lights all around the circle, and came across the lake towards him with the circle or ring standing vertically, and made absolutely no sound. huge crft moved slow and low during meteor shower My brother a friend and afriend of his went campig at the camp ground by julian. ca named pasa pichico. it got dark and my brothers friend whimped out and sleeped in a tent.

so three of us layed by the fire. it so hapens that those evenings was the height of a meteor showers most intense germany and mountains of sandiego.we were watching the showers whene my brother said whats that and pointed to an object in the night sky I said it a plane from miramar air base.

I was driving home late one night from the city of Diamond Bar, when I noticed a very bright light in the sky. I thought it might be landing lights of an aircraft, but it just hovered in the air. The shape was disk or saucer shaped, and it appeared in the horizontal orientation- like a flat oval.

The light became very bright- like arc welding or a flash of lightning when all of a sudden, the object shot off at the speed of light at I would say about a 45 degree angle. It was much faster than any aircraft known to man. Although it did rise straight up slightly, it definitely was not a Harrier.

I also experienced a loss of time and location. I do not know if the actual date is correct or even the city in which it occurred. I think others may have pulled over on the freeway to see it.

I have always accepted the idea of other intelligent life forms in our galaxy or elsewhere in outerspace. The incident only strengthened my belief in UFO's and extraterrestrials. I have since had a(n) experience(s) that I thought I was under a very bright, hot light and individuals were examining me and making strange noises.

I have also had episodes since then of seeing imagery of everyday scenes when my eyes are shut that appear holigraphic and 3-D. I don't know what this is, but some tell me it's called "remote viewing". This may or may not have anything to do with my UFO sighting, but my guess is it does.

Driving on I-5 at night. A spherical object the size of a bowling ball swooped down in front of the windshield from behind and to the right of us, hovered and rotated(or rolled in all directions). The sphere was a melty blue and green metallic object with a luster, and was about the size of a bowling ball.

My best friend and I were returning to So. Cal from a short vacation up north for the 4th of July. At almost half past midnight, Saturday night going into Sunday morning, we were on I-5 almost to the summit of the Tehachapi mountains when a spherical object swooped down from behind and to the right of me (on the passenger side) and stopped directly in front of the drivers side windshield, some 18 inches or so out from the glass.

Despite our speed of travel, the rotating sphere appeared to be absolutely still and stationary,except that it was rotating freely in a rolling motion going in all directions. The object was quite beautiful. It reminded me of perhaps a metal globe which had gotten melty, and the continents and oceans were all melting together.

It was blue and green, with a luster, but I would not call it shiny, as it did not seem to reflect light the way we normally see a shiny object do. I do not have the English vacabulary to vividly describe what we saw, because we don't have movement and color exactly like that in everyday life. The sphere stayed in front of the window for maybe 45-50 seconds and then took off.

The take off was really nice to watch. It zipped laterally away from us for a moment, momentarily forming a sort of tail, like an elongated teardrop. It then paused for a second (maybe 50 yards ahead of us) and recollected into a perfect sphere, and then shot off much faster out ond up and was quickly lost from view.

Two things awed me about the object; how it was able to exactly match our speed so as to appear suspended, and how we were able to see it so well as it was above the hood of the vehicle (a Toyota 4-Runner) and well out of the range of the headlights. I don't pretend to know what it was, but it was quite beautiful, and I'm glad to have been able to observe it so closely, that had the windshield been absent, I could have leaned forward and touched it.

Weird red spots on skin. My son was at the beach when all of a sudden he described to me a blue-ish light in the sky, and he told me that the ocean water got very warm. He was left with dots on bis back that lasted for about two weeks.

No itching, burning, scaring, etc. I have a pic. of the dots.

Night time fly over of object at Cottonwood Lakes, Mt. Whitney, California - 1993 After seeing the sphere earlier in the day we camped out under the stars at Cottonwood Lakes just south of Mt. Whitney.

Our elevation was above the 10,000 ft. level in the Sierra Nevada Range. While not quite asleep around 10 PM I heard a strange "whirring" sound in the sky.

I opened my eyes and looked directly up towards the crystal clear, black and moonless, star filled sky. This slow moving object flew directly over us. The object radiated absolutely no light whatsoever.

If it wasn't for the fact that as it passed over head it blocked out the stars behind it, I would have never seen it. It moved rather slowly across the sky. Much slower than a jet would travel.

Its direction of travel was from north to south. Several seconds later, maybe 30 or so, two jets flew overhead in the same path of travel as the object, as if chasing the object. I could tell they were jets due to their wing tip lights and that I had served on an aircraft carrier in the US Navy I have had plenty of night sightings of US Aircraft.

I could not tell the exact height of the object as it flew overhead, but it must been at least 1,000 feet above us to clear the ridge line that surrounded the lakes. We were just east of the spine of the Sierras and the elevation at the peak is about 11,000 feet. The two jets were flying at higher than normal speeds but without their afterburners fired.

It just seemed so weird to see an object fly over and block out the stars behind it in a total blackness. It must have been rather large for it blocked out the section of the sky as if I held my hand out at arms length and blocked out the stars. I could not make out the edges of the object but it was more of a diamond shape than any of the other shapes you had listed.

No lights, no openings, nothing other than being its shadow. Just a slight whirring sound was eminated from the object as it passed overhead. ((NUFORC Note: Date is approximate.

triangle slowly moving object with "lightning" emitting from the front of it Years ago, I believe it was the summer of 1993 my wife and myself were headed out to my favorite camping place (Woodward Reservoir in Oakdale Ca.) to meet my parents who were already there. We pulled into the campground around 10 p.

m. and proceeded to try to find my parents. As we were trying to find them, we both noticed a large aircraft over the water near the 28-mile Road Bridge.

It was triangle in shape, and very large, maybe 200 ft wide. It had no sound, was maybe 100 ft off of the water, and moved very slow (10-15 mph). There were white lights at each corner of the aircraft, the lights were not particularly bright, nor were they dull.

They had a warm fuzzy "glow" about them. As if this wasn't amazing enough for us, there was what appeared to be lightning bolts shooting out of the front of it. This lightning came in pulses lasting about 5 seconds each, and maybe 10 seconds in-between each.

We watched this for 15 to 20 minutes before we were both so freaked out that we went into town to get a hotel room for the night. It is important to realize that both of us seen this thing. Neither of us was drinking, or on any drugs, and even 14 yrs later our individual accounts of what we seen that night are the same.
