Kentucky UFO Sightings in 1993

It moved back and forth up and down covering more miles in a split sec than anything man-made i have ever seen. It was a nice night in mid october 1993, a friend and i were just out for a ride to enjoy the autumn air in his car, which was a convertible by-the-way. We pulled over and had parked in a popular parking spot in a small town called stanley which is placed right on the ohio river.

We had been parked maybe 5 minutes and i was resting my head back on the headrest watching the night sky over the ohio river looking in the direction of north-west.of this I am positive. I saw a glowing round light that seemed to dim and bright in a repeating pattern.

The color of this light was whiteish to light bluish in color. I thought i t was a plane at first but soon realized by its movements that it couldn't be. Then i said to myself it is a helicopter.

but soon realized that the distance it was covering in what seemed like a millioneth of sec that it wasnt. I told my friend to look and he saw it too. I don't know how to describe it.

but this object seemed to be reading my mind moving in directions that i was telling it to go. It took 10 minutes for me to KNOW it wasn't anything manmade it moved to quickly and efficiently. i had treetops on the opposite side of the river to base distance on it was not quite as far away as the stars but not as low as conventional aircraft fly, but way above the treetops.

We watched for another 20 minutes or so, before i got scared and asked to be taken home, I also had him close the top on the convertible. Once home in thruston southeast of where i first spotted the object, I looked in the sky and saw it again but more to the southeast of me and over a rural area not the river anymore. it was still pretty far away.

I was spooked told my friend bye and went in the house. I went to a psychiatrist over this who dismissed it and tried to put me on medicine for it. i found this funny.

and maddening. But 9 years later in late january of 2002 I saw the same object again. I was married at the second sighting it was like 4 am in the morning and my husband was leaving for work.

we live in a small community less than a 1/4 of a mile away from the ohio river and it seemed to be in the location that i saw it in 9 yrs. previously. I was very scared locked the house down made sure all blinds were closed.

I don't know how describe the feeling of it being able to sense my thoughts. I told a fieman friend of mine about it several hours later and he said not to feel strange others have seen these things. Incedentally i called the airport after the first sighting in 1993 the next morning but they had no reports of anything strange.

Chrome sphere sighted South East of Bowling Green KY At the time I was commuting daily to and from Bowling Green, KY. I'm not sure of the exact date but it was around the middle of October 1993. When nearing the city of Bowling Green I happened to notice a large round ball shaped object high in the sky.

It was SE of the city, very shiny like chrome and looked perfectly round. I remember the Sun glinted off the object to produce a very bright glint of light as if it were reflecting from a mirror. At first I thought it could possibly be the front or back side of a blimp or a hot air balloon and I found myself paying more attention to the object than I was the road.

I pulled off to the side of the roadway and exited my car. I remember the Sun was to the right of the object and I shaded it from my eyes with my hand to get a better view. It must have been around 2 or 3 PM.

Another driver pulled off the roadway as well. He had also spotted the object and was curious as to what it could be. We watched the object for 10 to 15 minutes.

It was stationary and again still perfectly round. We talked about it as we watched and a lot of the conversation was about what it could be. We wondered why others didn't notice it or seem to care enough to even stop and take a look.

We both felt the object was a perfectly round ball shape, and shiny, though we did not feel it to be a blimp or hot air balloon. The sighting ended when the object went straight up at an incredible speed and vanished thru the clouds. That movement was the shocking factor of the entire sighting.

It was incredibly fast and went from being stationary a few thousand feet above the ground to completely out of sight within 2 or 3 seconds. I have no way of determining the exact size of the object but it wasn't small. It was several thousand feet in the air when it was stationary and was plainly visible.

By comparison at the distance viewed it was about the size of a dime from our perspective. It must have been very large, much larger than a hot air balloon or blimp. I don't know what it was I saw.

I do know the movement and acceleration was impossible. I am an Air force Veteran and have viewed the capabilities of most of our aircraft in flight. This object moved away at a speed that is not possible.

The only comforting thought is that I was not alone in seeing this. ((ADDENDUM FROM WITNESS)) Hi Peter, The object appeared to be about the size of a dime held at arms length. It did not appear as large as the Sun, though I never looked directly at the Sun to make a size comparison, but the object was very large.

I’ve never seen anything like it before or since. Another thing is the distance. I can’t be sure how near or far away I was from the object, as I was not directly beneath it.

I can make a fairly accurate ballpark guess that it was at 10,000 to 12,000 feet altitude though. I’m really not into UFOs but I did want to get this on record as my health is not what it used to be. I know others must have seen it that day and hopefully the report will encourage them to come forward.

Disc shaped object over KY skies no lights or sounds and plainly visible that it wasn't convensional aircraft. I am only writing this because I have kept this a secret for almost 10 years now. I don't care who actually believes what I have seen but I have to let this out now.

I was asleep beside a window on a second story. From where I lay I can see 3/4 of the sky and the other part was blocked by a green leafy tree like an oak. The apartment is in the city and lights from the city stop you from seeing any stars that arent bright.

I woke up and looked out the window and froze. I saw what appeard to be a perfectly smooth disc. There were no lights on it like many people see only the light from the city reflecting off the bottom.

I thought a baloon or an aircraft but I was shortly proven wrong. The object stayed only in my view as if I were meant to see it theres no other way for me to explain it. That fact alone scared me stiff because its altitude wasn't very high only within a few thousand feet maybe two football field lengths no more than 3.

It moved from right to left in a line then up to the top of my view and then back down as if it had made an L movement. It stopped and lowered quite a bit. The disc got larger and then it rose back up, higher this time.

It made a last move to the top of my view and back down then back toward the country side at the right of my view where it had started from originally. I was frozen completely through the duration and couldn't speak above a whisper. I had tried to wake my brother up but I couldn't speak.

Through the whole incident there was not a single sound from the object. When it left I was unfrozen and then immediately jumped from my bed across the small room to my brothers bed and woke him up. I told him I had seen a UFO.

He believed me and quickly we ran down stairs and out on the lawn to see if it would return. It never did. Wether it was extraterestrial or military I don't know.

It seemed to be practicing manuvering more than traveling to a destination. Even though it has been so long, I can still draw the exact portrait of what I saw. I will never forget it as l! ong as I live yet maybe now I can rest easier.

The warmth of the lights could be felt. It had five lights, two on each side, and one on the front, like a delta shape. Absolutely no sound at all, moving very slow, and the heat from the lights were warm on the bare arms.

It was approximately, just guessing a couple hundred feet overhead. Slowly moving overhead, the black form of the delta shape could be clearly seen. Then maintaining the same slow movement, diappearing over the trees.

Craft in Lexington, teardrop shaped, near University of Kentucky, appearing to children. Summer of 1993 Just after Lunch; 12 Noon – 1pm Not sure how I feel about sharing my story but it happened and changed my life. I was only 10 years old, I was at my friend ((female friend's name deleted)) house and we were inside playing hide and go seek.

We were scolded for being to loud and were sent outside to play. Seems like all summer long we sat drawing with sidewalk chalk, as we sit in the drive way a shadow came over us. There were no large trees and it was a clear day.

We looked at each other and then looked up. What we saw sounds crazy at best. It was a large tear drop shape craft.

It was about; 20-25 feet long, 12-15 feet wide, and I couldn’t tell the height but it would have been large enough for full grown adults. It was like liquid metal, we couldn’t see ourselves in the reflection but it was a mirror like silver. It also had a ripple like a stone tossed into water.

It didn’t make any noise. There was no heat coming off it. It just hung there; if we would have reached up, we could have touched it.

It was only 6-7 feet off the ground. We were kind of in a state of shock, I guess, because we didn’t move or say anything. But to a kid, I guess it was confusing.

But then we snapped out of it and started screaming, we were so loud that ((female friend's name deleted)) parents ran out to see what was going on. Just as we started screaming, the craft took off, high and fast, towards Nicholasville Rd, as we were on University Ave. We were pointing and trying to explain what happened, but her parents couldn’t or didn’t see it and it seemed to stop and watch as we tried to explain what was happening.

We were pointing at it as it sat there for a moment; it was reflective so it matched the blue sky. You could only see it if you knew what to look for I guess. We were scolded for scaring everyone and making up a story.

((female friend's name deleted)) had to go inside, and I was sent home. I ran back to my house on Crescent Ave. screaming for my mom.

She heard me and met me outside trying to calm me down. My mom tried to calm me down and I didn’t know anything about UFO, but my mom actually said to me, “It was probably just a weather balloon.” I remember thinking this wasn’t a balloon.

She got me inside, and she was cooking dinner but we had just had lunch. I don’t know the time but it wasn’t normal. I was confused and scared, for a long time.

((female friend's name deleted)) and I were never allowed to play together again. Her family thought that I was putting stories that gave her nightmares. I started having problems sleeping as well; I was sleep walking, having horrible dreams, and having sleep paralysis.

On several occasions my mom saw me trying to walk outside in my sleep, she had to put locks on the doors that I couldn’t reach. When I couldn’t get out the doors, I actually tried to go out the window. According to her she asked me why I was trying to get outside, and I said because the blimp is out there.

I was having dreams of blimps chasing me and of my neighbors back yard being on fire. I couldn’t scream though I tried no sound would come out. I couldn’t move.

When I was finally able to I would start screaming out of control. After I told my mom that she decided I needed to go to the doctor. My primary care said I needed a therapist and a sleep study.

I started fearing everything; like shower curtains, heights, darkness, and I feared going to sleep so bad that I would stay awake for days. I was awake so long that I would start seeing things and becoming mo! re fearful. I was taken to the Woodland Group in Lexington to see a therapist.

I really liked the guy, he had a labyrinth in his back yard. The started doing hypnosis on me to see what got me so worked up. He put headphones on my ears and the music would go back and forth left to right in my ears.

He also had me follow a light left to right until I got tired, not asleep just tired. The only thing I remember him telling me to touch my face when I was scared and that it would relax me. It worked and I got over my fears, sometimes I still catch myself touching my face in specific spots.

I also still have sleep paralysis, but it doesn’t scare me anymore. When I stop and think about that night, I feel at peace now. I can’t remember something about a slender figure that opened his arms and seem to hold me.

It was like he cared about me and wanted me to know that. I think I recall everything being white and sooth. Later in life I became a Deputy (law enforcement officer) and I worked with a Deputy that was stationed at Area 51 as a test piolet, in the 50s.

He has passed away now, but I always wonder why he decided to tell me about a missing aircraft that occurred when he was there. I don’t know why this always occurs around me. But it worries me that no one seems to understand this was real, it happened and I don’t know how to convince people to understand me.

My family jokes about it, one time I got real serious and spoke to my mom about it all as an adult. Her story changed she said it was probably something the local University made and was flying. If we had that technology then why hasn’t it come out yet, it’s not us.

I was abducted as a child I was lying in bed when I realized that the bathroom light that was usually on was off. When I went to get up I couldn't move. I tried to scream, but nothing would come out.

I'm not even sure my mouth opened. Then I realized I was not in bed anymore. Then, short, pale men with huge eyes(I can most certianally remember the eyes, they were so dark) surounded me.

They acted as if they were examing me. Then one pressed his finger against my forhead right between my eyebrows. I then woke up in my bed, as if nothing happend.

But, I then had a scar right where the one touched me. I didn't have it before, but I most cerinally had it then, and it still shows. I'm sorry, I did not see the spaceship.

Summary : This happened A LONG time ago , but i am JUST now admiting it. It was about 10:00 Pm on Feb 23, 1993. Me and a Friend were in his Pool in his back yard and i saw a LARGE object in the sky about as big as a FOOTBALL FIELD !! it was far away about a mile then it turned INTO a SMALL red Ball then it shot up into the Distance.

My friend Saw a little of it but i saw all of it. One night me and a Friend were in his Pool in his Backyard at 10:00PM on Feb 23 1993. I looked up in the ski and about a MILE away i saw a HUGE object in the ski that was about as big as a Football field!! It had blue lights underneath its hull that were VERY bright.

Then after floating in the air for about 9 seconds it turned into a RED ball that was VERY small !!! THen it shot off into the Distance. My friend saw a little of it but i saw ALL. THe next day i was at another friends house and thier dad SAW the Exact SAME thing i saw that night and he Described it Exactly !!.
