Kentucky UFO Sightings in 1996

Giant black triangle hovers over me and my car while parked on Union Ridge in northern Franklin Co. Kentucky. On the morning of November 23, 1996 I was driving alone and witnessed a large triangle type of UFO.

The craft appeared to be a helicopter from a distance but as it got closer I began to realize that it was not a chopper at all. It was very large, at least 300 feet from corner to corner. It had three large lights on the bottom located in the corners of the triangle.

Two white lights and one red. The red light was in the front of the craft as it led with that corner. The lights were bright and did not contain a hot spot.

They were uniformly lit and I would estimate that they were at least 12 to 14 feet in diameter. As I said before the craft got closer, in fact it hovered above me for about 3 minutes. It was about 100 feet or so above me and was totaly silent.

It was low enough that the light from under the craft was actually bouncing back off the ground and illuminating the underside of the craft. I was able to see that the craft had a flat black type of paint. Exactly what you would see on the F117 or the other stealth vehicles.

I was able to notice a series of rectangular panels that were surrounded by rivets, they reminded me of a traditional aircraft like a large jet for instance. If you look at a large jet you will notice what I am refering to, they are covered with rectangular panels that are surrounded by rivets. The craft hovered above me and I was truly amazed by it.

I did flash a peace sign with my gloved hand through the sun roof which was open. After about 3 minutes of hovering I began to think of the numerous abduction stories that I had heard about or seen on TV & how people would say that something approached them and then the next thing they remembered an hour or two had passed and they are on their way home. As this thought began to scare me I reached down to start my car and when I looked back up the craft was gone in an instant.

I did not experience any lost time or witness anything that would lead me to believe that this was of alien origin. It has taken me many years to feel comfortable enough to share this publicly online as I know what I saw was real. I am also aware that very few witnesses have reported any kind of details relating to the panels with rivets that make up this craft.

I have not seen it again since that night in November 96. I hope this story allows anyone else who has seen it to realize that they are not the only one out there who has had this thing come down on them and hover. ((initials deleted)).

String of lights snaked around the moon during a lunar eclipse. I was on the phone with my friend and we were watching a lunar eclipse. I was watching from my kitchen door.

I remember it being late at night and a total lunar eclipse. So I used that information to estimate the date of the sighting since I knew it was between 1996 and 1999, a total eclipse, late at night, on a night when we didn't have to work the next day and I came up with 9/27/96. Anyway, I remember watching the eclipse completely cover the moon, when suddenly I saw a chain of small, round, white lights snake around the right side of the moon, like pearls on a string.

Right away I asked my friend, who was in her house a couple miles away, if she saw them too, but she did not. I only saw them for a few seconds. I couldn't tell how far away they were since I was staring at the moon, and I had no other frame of reference.

helicopter beng chase by ufo There was show on TV about two pilots that was chased by a ufo it was around the morning hours. I had taken my husband to work he drove a truck and he want to leave early to miss the morning traffic. I took my to work and when I came back I saw the helicopter and something behind it chasing it.

it scared me so I shut my car down to watch didn't want it to see my head lights. It was chasing the helio at high speed. it went for to minutes or so and the it went into town.

I felt that being ex military and navy I needed to back them. show stated that if saw report it. I am not looking for glory or anything.

Just wanted to say that I witness the event.

object trails three through city, seen by alot, video taped my 2 friends and i were skateboarding in a bank parking lot we were filming each other skating.we had been there awhile i was filming my friend and the camera went out.we got it working and started skating and filming again.

oh by the way we were in the middle of downtown covington buisness district.he pulled off a few tricks and landed facing the sky. he was asking what was in the sky.

i said dont know looks like the lights from building next store reflecting on the clouds(it was a cloudy warm night).the camera went out again my other friend skated over and got it working. the lights in the parking lot went out as they did every night.

the object was still there. we filmed it for a minuite and got out of there. it just didnt feel right to one of my friends and we skated to our car about a half block away.

let me discibe the object. it was huge, above the clouds. guess thats why it looked like a reflection.

the front of the object was a circle with four smaller circles in it.it was all white but you could make out the smaller circles. behind it was four multi colored bars.

two on each side like this _________ _________ o 0 0 o _________ ________ to give you an idea on how big it was in the smaller circles you could have fit a small plain. we skated to the car and the object seemed to move our direction. we were freaking out.

one friend was still taping it me and the other were trying to get his keys out of his pants. he stopped taping and we jumped infirst thing we did was look at the time. we were in a geo metro i grabbed the camera and opened the hatch he took off it followed us.

when we got to the sixth st church(big church)the front circle had become sepperate from the rest and was coming down at us we were hanging out the windows screaming still taping. whenwe got to one of our houses we all jumped out and his mom came out she is real religeous and said mary talked about this stuff. freaked us out a little more some of there neighbors came out and saw it over the house.

she then called her daughter across town and she could see it in the distance.we all viewed the tape the next day with our parents and friends.it really made them see why we were so freaked.

i had never felt true fear til that night. later on a few other people said they had seen it. a couple of days later we read in the paper a huge object was sighted over nevada or arizona where the whole city saw the object they dismissed on tv as flairs.

Summary : While walking through Lagrange golf course, bright lights were seen over trees. The square object changed direction upon being noticed. Soon it disapeared into a large mass of pink clouds.

Planes came from every direction, but upon arrival, the bright blue-red-white object was gone.

A transparent ufo with lighted windows, flying low and slow just above power lines. My husband and I were outside in our hot tub looking at the night sky. Earlier my husband saw a large meteo to the the south of our house.

About 45 minutes later I was looking up and saw what seemed to be a transparent vessel that had a few windows that were lit up. The vessel did not have any sound. It was flying just above the power lights.

It was very low and was about three houses down from our home. We could only see one side of the ufo and appeared to be rectangle. It was very hard to see but could tell there was something there.

The lights in the windows were white. It was flying south to north. At one point when I was turning off the hot tub to see if we could here any sound my husband saw a bright light shoot out from the front of the ufo for just a split second.
