Oklahoma UFO Sightings in 1996

Cigar shaped object flew over our heads from NE to SW. Had red, white, and blue strobe lights on it. Made a high pitched whine as it passed overhead.

At approximately 8:00 P.M. CST, I, my younger sister, and my dad were helping my grandmother to move into her new appartment by unloading the moving truck.

While we were out there, we heard a low rumbling sound which we took to be an air conditioner. My sister went out of the moving van and said that there was something up in the sky. We(my dad and I) came out to look and we saw and cigar-shaped object fly overhead.

It had come from the northeast and went southwest. At the time it passed overhead, the rumbling we had heard changed into a high-pitched whine. The object had 3 strobe lights on the bottom that blinked on and off; one was red, one was white, and one was blue.

It flew rapidly to the southwest until it was out of sight. I'm not sure how big it was or at what altitude it was flying, but it looked to be very high up.

A Very Large Triangle Shaped vessel with amber light all around and the shell looked kinda burnt. My mom and my step-dad were outside one clear night so my step-dad could smoke and they saw a huge triangle shaped space craft in the sky. My mom said she was looking a the big dipper when this triangle shaped shadow came in front of her view.

She said it was about the size of 2 football fields. She pointed it out to my step-dad and he saw ir to0. She said if you wern't looking for it you would never had seen it.

It had no noise, and amber light around it that blended into the stars. She said that it was only about 3 light polls up from there head. And then it stoppped and they looked at it and then it shot off into the sky.

She said they both went inside and they called the Fort Smith air base and they said nothing was in the area at the time and the guy gave them a # to call about UFO's and they did. It was strange to here what the guy said. He said that when they are moving slow like that they (UFO's ) are mapping? Anyway, my mom said she had this strange feeling to go outside the very next night but, she said she was scared and she finally convenced my brother to go out with her at the same time and it was back.

My brother saw it too! He said it hoovered over and then went to the end of the street and stopped and then burst out into outer space. My mom confirmed. My brother when back outside for the next two weeks and it never showed up again!.

I am providing approx. time and dates. I was out our home in the county line road between Coweta and Broken Arrow Oklahoma.

I had stepped out the back door facing a pond behind our place and witnessed a very large winged animal/huminoid creature gliding about 20 yards high and about 30 yards away fromme. It was traveling at a very slow rate and was coming from the front area of our home across the norther part of our lawn moving west by northwest. My discription of this winged creature; long with a thin human shaped torso, moth or butterfly shaped wings extended but not moving or beating, rather gliding.

It had a wide dark grey colored human-like face and peered diectly at me as it crossed the yard. It had very large dark eyes. It had I guessed at least a eight or nine foot wingspan.

It apeared to be covered with a hairlike folical. It seemed to have a sort of high ridge or dorsal spinal rise behind the haed and wings. I guess it was extremly light-weight for its size.

I tried to rationalize the was my imagination playing a trick on me and returned inside halfwittingly joking with my ex-wife telling her I just saw a "Skilly". This is the term given by Cherokees who claim a superstition of nighthawk people or like other tribal lores, those who change shapes into other than human form. She was going to leave and go visit her sister in Coweta about then and left out the same door.

She returned a few minutes later claiming she came face to face with a nine foot tall creature with a red oilish skin and huge red glowing eyes. She was extremley shaken and histerically crying. I heard movement on our front porch after calming her down and finally getting her discription of this thing.

I noticealso about a quarter mile across the county line road in front of our home a red light in the pasture. Looking through the screen I saw at first what I thought a police or fire truck lite. Looking closer through the screen I saw a broad silver flattened doom with a red blinking beacon directly center top.

My ex was still horribly shaken and I started to go again out the back door possibly to confront this intruder. At that time I recieved a phone call. I answered and a voice sounding as if it was modulated on a radio frequency started speaking with me.

I would tell me such as where I was born, where I had been, then in great detail alot of personal facts. The voice was also using what seemed an older type of Englich which I have seen written such as terms in "three score and fourty et. It made some extremly weid prophetic statements.

I became Irate and told whoever it was I would have them traced and arrested. I hung up and it rang again. I removed the plugin and set the phone with cord on the kitchen stove.

We had our two children with us, a three yeasr old boy and two year old girl. I was becoming extremly concerned about our safety. A very heavy amonia smell filtered into our house causing my eyes to water heavily.

At this time the phone rang again. I glanced and saw the phone still unhooked sitting on the stove. I told my ex-wife the we were going to get the kids between us and move directly to our car behind the house.

I grabbed a big kitchen knife and we did as I instructed after I yelled loudly that I would butcher anyone or anything in my path trying to stop us on our way to the car. We saw nothing as we exited our home and got ourselves in the car. I drove to her mother house in Coweta.

I returned the next day. No sign of anything, footprints, vandalism et. I really question why this happened to us.

It was extremly freightening and I questioned my own sanity when I heard the phone ring after unplugging it. I assume it was using a magnetic inductance to axcess and imulate a voise on the phone. I have red a few books on UFOs since.

Jim Marrs discribes numerous events very similar by creature discription in 95-96 I would rather not have ever seen this thing. It looked like it had escaped from hell and could easily fit numerous discriptions of both aliens and demons of folklore and biblical accounts. I have a few theories myself and described this event with a US federal magistrate in Tulsa a week later.

a flying disc circled around me and gave me somthing. it was a disc shaped craft it was hard to see like.almost grayish-black.

it had a strip of a bright white light around it,it had a couple windows around it aswell,and there was.a wonderful yet wierd noise to it and in one of the windows was.it looked like a person was standing there, it sort of looked down at me and the craft barely even moved it just hoverd over some trees then when the wierd being looked up at the sky i did the same,"i was trimbiling" then it looked back down at me for a little bit and just turned away, then the craft hoverd around in a half circle and darted off.

i ddnt move i was frozen and i saw it again only this time it circled around me and made a sound that was sort of like a deep pitched swirl i got freaked out untill it droped somthing but instead if it picking the thing that dropped up it pointed at me and darted off and that was the first time i ever saw one. large low flying triangle in oklahoma As I was driving to town I noticed a large triangular object low to the ground appear to my left & and front a short ways ahead of me. The size, height it was flying, & speed it was moving was so unbelievable that I pulled over on the shoulder, got out of my truck & watched as slowly passed overhead from south to north. I believe there were 3-4 other vehicles that stopped & watched in amazement as well.

The object was triangular in shape with a bright light at each point, it flew at maybe 15-20mph I would est & it made no sound whatsoever. It flew slightly higher than the tree tops, low enough I remember thinking I could hit it with a slingshot. The craft was so close u could easily see that it was a solid, metallic object, not a balloon or blimp.

The size was the most amazing to me. It had to be something like 300-400 ft in width & length. I've never seen anything that looked Like what I seen, the size that it was, that could move at that slow of a speed & ! stay airborne.

I have told numerous friends & family about this event, from moments after it happened to yrs later. I never reported it due to my not being able to comprehend what it was I saw, how can I report it publicly without being laughed at. I only do this now after seeing a program about the phoenix lights, & when they showed a picture, it was almost like I was there on the side of the road again.

green fire in the sky around 500yd up moveing north to south arond 50 ft top to boutom no sound I was driving north on the indian nation tpk . there were three or four other drivers runing behind me. i saw a green fire in the sky in front of us and as we went futher we couldn't tell if it was moving or not so we stoped and watcht it for arond 15 mn.

it went out of sight going north to south over the state line into tx. i do not know of any thing that could run north to south all the falling stars i've seen run east to west im an O.T.

R. driver and spend a lot of time driving at night i've seen a lot of commets and shooting stars i evae watchet the shutel burn up a couple years agoe and they all run east to west we talket about it for the rest of the night and could not come up with any ancers for what it was and i've not seen anything since like it ((NUFORC Note: Witness indicates that date of incident is approximate. Silver Sphere sighted, Flew off! A USAF Jet circled the area in search of the object. I was relaxing in my parents spa. About ten minutes had past and I got a strange feeling that I was being watched.

I opened my eyes and stared up into the sky. I noticed a silver greyish ball in the sky just hovering, approx 2 football fields high. I thought it was the damnest thing.

Being a person with a rational mind I ran inside and told my wife, and mother to come see. I realized that a multiple sighting would have more weight than a single eye witness account. They rushed outside and I had them look in the area of the object.

I was actually suprised it was still there 3 min must have passed since I first saw it. "I thought it could be a weather balloon" My mother has poor eyesight and can not see even with the help of her glasses. My wife could not see it until it emitted a orange glow from underneath that lasted about 1.

5 sec. That helped her focus in on the object. Shortly after it emitted a blue orange glow underneath and went up out of the atmosphere.

Out of site. No sound was heard during the whole event and it was quite windy. The object never diviated from it's local position, was not affected by the wind.

At that point I desided it wasn't a weather balloon I continued to scan the sky about 1 minute after the object left the atmosphere a military jet flew into the area where the object was and circled as if searching for something then it left. Usually jets don't fly in our area that low. I then called the local MUFON group and and told them what I saw.

They blew me off. I was 24 years of age at the time and personally didn't believe in UFO's at that time. Several days after the incident I had seen some strange lights in the sky, green shooting comets on a horizontal plane with the earth.

I am a member of the US Reserves. My reasons for reporting this is to have a documented report of this incident, I feel it is worth mentioning.

Triangle Shaped UFO after a weeks storm 1996 in Midwest City, OK. This event happened right after a BAD storm ended of 6-7 days lenghth. When I tryed to access the weather listings this storm wasn't even listed!! Anyway at approx.

10:30 pm I was taking out the garbage to the dumpster in the RV park my wife and I were staying in near the junction of I40 and Douglas Blvd. When the clouds kinda parted and approx 100 feet off the ground moving along silently was a triangler shaped craft I could make out the shape from the lack of stars showing around its shape, there was also a subdued blue light in each corner of the triangle with a subdued red dot of a light in the exact middle. The only sound I could make out was a tinkling sound or subdued multiplexed pinging sound.

It traveled from south to north following Douglas Blvd. I lost site of it as it entered a low cloud 300 feet from me. ((NUFORC Note: Date is approximate.

Spherical bluish green craft hovering over the water Approx 4 years ago me and my mother was night fishing under the highway 20 bridge at skiatook lake. it was early in the am and we were originally facing north with a slight south wind. the wind changed direction and pushed our small boat around facing south when we both saw a sphere hovering approx 10ft above the water.

the craft alternated in a bluish green hue. The craft remained motionless and beneath the craft the water appeared to boil. After approx 4 min the craft moved slowly off in the westly direction.

As the craft elevated the color changed to a redish orange color. The craft the went past a hill and was not seen again.

it was a very bright light. the 1st big light stayed in one spot for about 20 min. the other light would come out of the big light.

then rotate around the big light by 360o. the small light would also go the oppsite direction. sometimes the sm.

light would only go 180o. after about 20 min. the small light went back in the big light.

then the big light shoot off like a shooting star. but it did not fade a way. the big light went fast & far.

the craft flew around in verise places. i saw the light in a field. the feild is between a graveyard and some apartments.

west of the graveyard, about a mile away is a high school. the big light was yellow, the small light was yellow as well. all this took place at night.
