blue ball of light moving through the sky low and slow. Looked out large window, moving from south to north, a blue ball of light was seen flying a a rate of about 80mph through the sky. About 1000 feet off the ground, moving towards the ground.

The next day was in a bean field waiting for deer to be shot in the approximate area object was seen and a Blackhawk helicopter moving in a slow rate of speed with men looking towards the ground flew over, no markings what so ever. V shaped dark object traveling East SE at approx 250 MPH. Approx 9:00 PM or 21 hundred hours. Clear evening, no clouds, temps in the mid 30's.

Went out to have a smoke and noticed a movement to my right peripheral side vision in the star filled sky. Saw what appeared as a fuzzy outline of a V-formation, or triangle craft. Hard to discern it as it appeared slightly lighter then the dark background sky, fuzzy edges with a translucent appearance.

Very difficult to see unless looking right at it. No lights, no sound and its glide path was to the East SouthEast. Watched it for 7-8 seconds before it faded from view.

Speed looked like around 250 MPH at say 3000 feet altitude, just a guess thou as I could not tell its size. When first overhead it would have been the size of my hand at arm's length. Object did not reflect from the moon that evening and for a lack of better words, appeared to cloak itself somehow to the background.

Very strange. I had my cell phone out however there was not enough time to capture it as ! I was wondering what it was in the first place. I am knowledgeable in earth sciences, all known aircraft and consider myself an amateur astronomer.

It matched the dark sky so much, I doubt a photo would have shown it unless during the day. Intend to build an Infrared video array now, I want some substantial answers.

Gliding V-shaped object with lights Saw a V-shaped or triangular-shaped object “gliding” in the sky at 20:30 in Ames. It had a dark body outline with lights (hard to distinguish if the lights were underneath the body or glowing from inside the body if it was translucent). The lights were pretty dim (pinkish-yellowish-peachish) but interestingly, they followed that V-shaped body pattern.

There was no noise, which is why I used the term gliding, and it was going at a decent pace. The background was a clear night sky in Iowa with temperatures ~0 degree Celsius.

Seemingly undetectable triangle craft detected briefly over Carroll, Iowa. ((NUFORC Note: Report was originally posted for November 15, 2015. However, Saturday night was November 14, and we have amended the date.

The correction will appear at our next update. We apologize for the error! PD)) Saturday night, November 15th, 2015, 19:40 pm - Carroll, IA. I was standing outside in a residential neighborhood close to the business district on crisp fall night facing east.

I caught a glimpse of something in the sky about 10-15 degrees above the horizon through some power/phone lines and over the buildings a block away. The sky was pitch black, but only a few stars visible due to the city light pollution. A very clear night regardless, no overcast or clouds to speak of.

I've never seen anything like this in the sky before, and my eyes don't lie. I have always had perfect 20/20 vision my entire life, I do a lot of hunting and feel like my keen sense of sight has always been one of my greatest attributes in the field. Being able to detect the slightest movement in any environment, sometimes distant has never been something I've struggled with.

I spotted something, quickly in 1/2 a second my eye keened in on the movement. At first I thought it was just a plane. In the next moment I knew this wasn't a plane, or commercial airline.

I can't rule out that it might have been some military or government aircraft, but if it was, it was pretty damn impressive; top secret stealth kind of impressive. The sky was so dark all around the object. And the object didn't have any lights, not as most every other plane or jet I've seen in the skies.

Clearly it was the shape of a triangle, at least the leading two edges were, which came to a point and pointed in the direction of flight. It headed on a path from north to south as I watched in the eastern sky over town. Carroll is appx.

10,000 in population, not a huge town, but pretty well lit at night. I was standing in the central part of town, and would say that craft had to have been flying just over the eastern out skirts of town, maybe 3-4 miles away and low flying. I'm not sure exactly but I'd have to say it was flying somewhere around 1,000 to 2,000 feet, it looked close.

The object was black, matching the night sky. It was meant to be undetectable, like a stealth spy plane, I guess. But it looked completely out of place, flying low over small town Iowa like that, and cruising along silently.

The color of the object matched the background sky, but because of my location relative to the object and the city lights below, I could see the slightest reflection from town on the bottom side of the craft. It was big, but again very difficult to estimate it's size, possibly B-2 Bomber size, possibly bigger. All I could see was what appeared to be a slight reflection of city light on the leading edges of this triangle shape, gliding through the sky, effortlessly, and without a sound that I could hear.

If I were to illustrate the sighting, it would be a black page with the slightest bit of light visible on the leading edges of the triangle. There was no tail to the object, at least not that I could see the difference between it and the night sky. As I watched through that first two seconds I thought, I need to grab someone inside to witness this with me.

And before I could even put my hand on the door handle, to call for someone, it abruptly vanished with a fade to black. I kept tracking it anyway, hoping I'd get another look at it, but did not. This all happened in around 4 seconds time.

I kept my eyes on it for those brief few seconds until it vanished. I reported this because it shook me up when I saw it. If it is one of our top secret planes, I can't imagine why it would be flying around there and especially that low.

I was lucky enough to catch the light of the city on the bottom of it as it passed by town for about 4 seconds. Whoever's plane or craft it is, they don't want anyone to see it, and it did an amazing job and being undetectable. I'm not positive, but I'd imagine I could have heard a jet or plane from that range pretty easily even through the white noise of the town, but I didn't.

And that is what makes me wonder what exactly that was. By reporting this I also hope to learn if anyone else saw this in Carroll that night as well. It would be great for one story to back another, and to know that I wasn't the only one who saw this strange sight.

Large bird like shaped object that was transparent and details could not be made out so easily. I saw a see through object in a shape like a huge bird, but I couldn’t make out details as I was seeing mostly through it and not the actual object itself. It flew slowly but with enough speed to be gone in about 10 seconds.

I was doing my job walking dogs when I saw three lights in a diagonal pattern shoot across the sky. Way too fast to be planes/helicopter, it wasn't going straight up so it wasn't fireworks. It was straight across the sky.

It shot past super super fast, and then almost immediately dispersed into the night. About 10 minutes later about 4 helicopters showed up around the area. the dog i was walking looked up at the object then went about its business.

Beautiful formation with stunning lights in Sidney, Iowa, seen more than once. I was walking with a couple of my friends just laughing talking and i just happened to look up. It was a beautiful night.

My friends noticed me looking up. There was an object silver object big probably about 12 to fifteen feet in a V shape with lights perfectly spaced apart along the bottom of it. The color of the lights were some ive never seen before just very bright.

The craft hovered for a few seconds before it shot straight up in the air and was completely out of sight for as big as it was without a sound. It was beautiful.

Was watching a movie in bed, facing the window, looking towards the eastern skyline, when a streak of bright white light went downwards. Looked outside to see if there was someone on the ground with a flashlight, but there was nobody there. No other streams happened afterwards.

The stream started out strong and then faded rather quickly. Happened sometime between 1:00 am and 1:20 am.

Unknown craft observed with red blinking lights Went out to smoke about 10 p.m. and saw an object off to the east with a panel of red blinking lights moving east quickly.

It looked strange so I called my son to come see it also as he is a science major in college. It went on about a mile then turned south and disappeared. He said it was far larger than a drone, and totally silent.

Orange fiery globes, travelling in the same path Standing outside when an orange glowing ball that appeared to be on fire flew from South to North across the sky. It did not leave a trail. Once it moved to the northern part of the sky it disappeared.

Ten minutes later, another one in the exact same trajectory appeared. Now, a week and a day later, I just witnessed two more. Although still flying South to North, these two were much closer together and flying in the sky at the same time.

Same flight path, but these two were further to the Western part of our sky.

Bright light in the sky Sky was dark, I went outside to have a smoke. I walked around to the back of my apt. bldg.

and looked up as I usually do. almost straight overhead, (I would say at about 85 deg.), I saw a light brighter and larger than any star I have ever seen.

It was about 1/8th to 3/16ths of an inch held at arms length. Color was bright white. My first thought was "Hello, what are you doing up there?" As soon as that thought was complete, this light began to recede and shrink.

Within a second, or second and a half it had "faded" to match the faintest stars you could see. Then it was gone. There were aircraft in the sky, but they showed no interaction with this "light.

" I saw other stars, planets in the area but noticed no indication of a shape behind this light.

My brother and I saw a translucent white boomerang shaped object fly soundlessly across our sky in Cedar Falls, IA, at the location of Cedar Heights Drive. It did not appear to be a drone. We watched it until we could no longer see it in our air space.

Blue light, then followed by a bright flash, before disappearing. 9/28/2015 2:44 AM Cedar Rapids Coming up the ramp off of Hwy 30 traveling west, as I came to the stop sign, noticed a blue light hovering about 200 yards above the ground to the north of me. I continued to watch it and pulled to the side of the road and could see that it was moving , but slowly.

I turned the car around and started towards it traveling on Bus 151 towards the intersection of Wiley Blvd SW. The image seemed to be above the street named Cynthia St SW. As I drove closer to the blue light, now within ¼ mile from it-I was starting to feel different- not so much scared but on edge, un-nerved perhaps.

The light then grew to a bright flash of light for 3-4 seconds, very bright like a football stadium light growing from the blue light now was a bright white. It then disappeared and nothing could be seen. I pulled over and watched and waited for any more to happen but that was it.

Craft spotted very distantly NNE of Lake Mozongo outside of Maryville. The craft consisted of 2 vertical parallel light formations with 4 lights in each row and the lowest light on the bottom left track was exceptionially. From the bright light there also appeared to be a diagonal tail to the left that flickered as if the bright light sent a signal down that came back.

This tail appeared to have at least 4 lights. Floated in the same spot for some time until it was no longer visible due to the strength of the full moon and clear sky.

Orb going across the sky I saw an orange orb for 30 seconds and it looked like it went above the Des Moines Airport I was in Pleasanthill looking East and it was going Northeast and I watched it until it went over the tree line. It was a orange orb definitely not anything the United had by any means. I haven't seen anything like that in my life before.

It was maby only a couple thousand ft from the ground.

I work nights at a lighted driving range in the Des Moines, IA, area. One night, as I was walking around outside, I noticed a very small red light in the NE sky, moving SW. As it got closer it was getting too big to be an airplane so it now had my complete interest.

It was red and round and glowed slightly. I watched it move SLOWLY into the western sky, and then come to a stop. At this point I ran in to get my co-worker.

Seconds later when we returned we observed the craft seemingly split into three or four smaller crafts. It was hard to tell because they appeared hazy, as if one merger into the other. It is also possible the one craft was changing shapes or making stationary movements of some kind.

Then a single craft continued into the western sky until it was out of sight, at a much higher rate of speed than by which it arrived. I am 50 and have never seen anything remotely like this in my life.

triangle shaped pinkish peach lights flying in arrow shape. low lights not bright but still obviously visable! I witness a triangle of of lights flying north west over my right side of my view to the north. The three lights were low lit.

Not bright but obviously illuminated. A peach color pink to peach colored. And oval shape from my perspective from being off to side of its trajectory.

I'm assuming that if I had been under it directly the lights would be circles rather than ovals. I was looking at the dipper to the north when it flew into my view over my head from the rigbt and onward north east. I pointed it out to my girlfriend who saw the obvious shape in time to watch it glide rigbt out of sight with no sound what so ever.

I did not see a triangle silhouette shadow between the light or anything. Not to my knowledge. But I can't say I could see through it either.

My mind really only acknowledged the lights. I'm not crazy!!! That ((word deleted)) was real!!!.

Triangle UFO, two airplanes, other UFO, two trails away from triangle UFO I went to the hammock to talk on the phone. I saw a light and when I looked I thought I saw a triangle shape. I assumed my eyes were playing a trick on me when it seemed to move but soon it was over my head and the bottom two lights also turned on.

It circled me a few times before returning to it original spot where one of the stars started to blink, making me think there was another craft. The ship then turned off it's bottom lights and an airplane flew directly over it and left. The triangle then moved a few inches to the left each time it moved as if it were trying not to be noticed.

A light that seemed low to the ground passed over me. I thought it may be a comet or something and then a few minutes lasted it came back in the opposite direction. Another plane flew over the triangle and left.

The triangle then moved over me again and seemed to circle my head. I went to my car and was on the other side of my house, on the phone. I then saw the triangle near my bedroom, pointing towards me.

The lights flickered in a pattern and I started to feel overwhelmed and started crying. I'd seen this craft many times out my window and as a kid but I simply dismissed it as me being crazy all but one time. And that time I assumed it was a government graft or something to calm myself down.

When I went inside my phone call dropped. My friend tried to call back and I didn't answer as it didn't show I had a call. I called them as they called again and they went on my voicemail and had to hang up and call again.

Later, I saw the craft outside my window and closed the blinds. My friend in Vermont then got scared because their computer randomly turned on. At one point I felt nervous and told them to look out the window.

The next thing I know they're muttering things I can't understand, giving me details about unknown assailants and coordinates. They claimed to have a headache and not remembering the 15-20 minute conversation afterwards. I have no idea if they have ptsd and me telling them to look set it off, if they were messing with me or if there was a connection between the craft I saw and their meltdown.
