Strange object passing across the Moon I am an amateur astronomer, I use a Sony DSC-HX400V 35mm for Moon shots. It zooms up to 100X optically, you can increase it to 200X digital. It's a pretty good camera.

On Feb 8 I set up to take photos of the Moon. I turned it on and zoomed on the Moon until it nearly filled the camera's viewfinder, around 90X. At first I thought there was a black spot on the screen and touched it to wipe it off.

Then I realized it was a black object between me and the Moon. I had the camera set on infinity, I got a very sharp image. It was cubicle, reminded me of our Moon landing vehicle back in the 60s except without legs.

This object appeared to me to be in our atmosphere, probably the altitude of an airliner, and as large. It was moving upward at about a 75 degree angle. It was moving too slow to be an airliner, (which I have seen cross the Moon several times), and too steep a climb for a helicopter.

I snapped the shutter, however I have a 3 second delay to allow the camera to settle, and by the time it snapped the object had passed into the darkness at about 2 o'clock. I am submitting a photo I took that night. I used a photo editor to insert the little black box to indicate the size of this object.

It was a very brief sighting, but I got a sharp view of this object, it was not a plane or a helicopter.

2 anomalies appeared in sky together and looked like they were falling. Saw 2 anomalies in the sky on my way home from work. Almost looked like 2 objects falling from the sky or at least the "cloud" of them.

Good video of strange object flying over my town. I am an amateur astonomer who takes photos out my window. I was trying to get some photos of Jupiter before I would have to leave for work at 9:30pm.

As I was setting up my scope, I saw a solid red object fly by from left to right (north to south). I thought it was a small private airplane, but I wondered why the red light did not blink. I looked out the window a few minutes later, and this object was flying directly over my head, northeast to southwest.

I put my head out the window and listened carefully, but there was absolutely no sound. I went about setting up my scope. A few minutes later, this object flew above my head again, but in the opposite direction, from southwest to northeast.

It was flying quite fast, but suddenly stopped still and hovered. I grabbed a pair of binoculars and looked at it. It was two solid red lights that were not blinking.

Suddenly, a bright green light flashed several times between the two red lights. At this point I grabbed ! my Iphone and took a video. The object sat still for a minute or so, then moved slightly down and to the right, then reversed to the left.

Again, it sat for still for a minute or so. Then it moved upward, and even seemed to be approaching me. Then it flew out of sight to the southeast.

A triangular shaped object flying over Torrington, CT. I was driving up Hospital Hill & when I reached the top I noticed what appeared to be a line of lights on the horizon. As I continued down the road, it came much closer very fast and I realized it was a triangle gliding over the town.

I instantly pulled over and took multiple photos, one of which captured the object. It was dark, but I could still make out the shape so I was able to confirm it was an object & not 3 seperate orbs of light. The corners were very defined, and I could make out the edges, each of which had one white light, and each of which illuminated the sky somewhat.

The object was moving fast, smooth, and silently. I arrived at work, and was extremely happy to find that a coworker on the way to work had also seen this object gliding over the town. The object was flying in a south western direction.

I'm awful with directions, but I can assume it was flying towards the Bristol, Thomaston, or Terryville area.

Strange object, gliding over my town. On August 18th, about 6PM, I happened to look out my 2nd story apartment window, which faces east. I saw what I believed at first to be a large bird, gliding smoothly as large birds often do.

But as I looked closer, I saw this was a "W" shaped object with depth, almost like a paper airplane viewed from the rear, but I could see the full side as well. The object was all black. It was maybe three quarters of a mile away, and only a few hundred feet altitude.

I would estimate it was about the size of a small private airplane. I would estimate it was going 20-30 MPH, not fast at all. Unfortunately, I did not get much of a look, because it glided down behind some trees which obstructed my view.

I watched for several more minutes, but never saw it again. I drew this picture on my computer. It is close to the shape, except this object was completely black.

Airplane-shaped object with wings outlined in lights I happened to look in the sky tonight and saw what looked like an airplane, but the wings looked to be very much "up front" on the plane, and they were outlined in lights. Which made the plane look somewhat like a boomarang. It circled and while I was following it, I noticed another "plane" of the same type.

That one seemed to be just sitting there, perhaps what they'd call "hovering". I wasn't able to stay outside longer, I do not know what became of these crafts.

Addendum to earlier report made on 01/09/15 This is simply an addition or addendum to a report I made several days ago, I believe it was for 01/09/15. After I filed the report I realized I made a mistake. The craft was travelling from the northeast toward the southwest.

I believe I mistakenly wrote the southeast. That is error, it was going toward the southwest. This is a very regular route for the many planes I see coming from Bradley Field in Hartford, so this might have been some sort of commercial or military craft, but it was quite spectacular and unlike anything I have ever seen, and I grew up around airbases, as my father was a aircraft radar technician by trade.

I am also including a drawing I made in Paint. It will be obvious I am no artist, but it will give the rough idea. I could not actually see any body to this craft, just the very bright and very beautiful lights.

Only the red light blinked, all other lights were steady.

Wow, I finally saw one of those triangular objects I am one of those persons who has seen UFOs numerous times. I have literally seen UFOs probably at least a dozen times, but I had never seen one of these triangular objects until last night. I live in a 2nd floor apartment that faces east toward Hartford.

I get a nice unobstructed view of the sky and I constantly see planes coming from Bradley Airport about 20 miles away, or I see planes going in for a landing there. So, I am VERY familiar with airliners. But tonight I just happened to look out and saw this BEAUTIFUL perfect triangle object.

It had many very bright white lights on it and was flying very slowly. I don't know how high it was, maybe 3-5000 feet at most. It looked quite large, I got the impression it was probably twice the size of an average airliner.

I wish I would have had time to count the lights, but I am sure I saw probably 7 or 8 large white lights, and one very small blinking red light near the center. But the entire craft was outlined by the white lights and was a perfect equilateral triangle 60/60/60. It was really a very pretty sight.

It seemed to be going quite slow, much slower than the airliners I see every night. If I had to guess, I would say it was going maybe 200 mph at most. It was flying from northeast toward the southeast, which is the regular path many planes from Bradley follow.

Anyway, I was only able to see it for about 10 seconds before it flew over my building, but I had time to put on a coat, grab a pair of binoculars and run downstairs which probably took about 15-20 seconds. It was going so slow that it was still there and I got to look at it for about another 15 seconds before it went behind another building and I lost sight of it. I am not completely sure, but I think I MIGHT have heard it, if so, it sounded like a normal airliner, but I might have been hearing another plane that I saw in the same part of the sky.

That's it, very simple sighting, but a very beautiful object. It was probably one of ours, but I don't care, I have always wanted to see one of these triangular objects, and now I have.

I keep seeing these objects I keep seeing these things. On September 23, I woke from sleep, needing to go to the bathroom. Next to my bed is a large window that faces due east.

When it is warm I like to prop the window open for fresh air, which I had done this night. Before I went to the bathroom, I took a look out the window as I usually do. It was clear and cool and many stars were visible.

I saw Jupiter maybe 10 degrees above the horizon to the ENE, Sirius to the southeast, with the constellation Orion above it. I know the stars, planets and constellations pretty well as I have been interested in astronomy since I was young. I own a nice telescope I use on occasion.

What was unusual was a bright star like object about 10 degrees above Jupiter and slightly north of it as well. This object was a bright white color, brighter than both Jupiter or Sirius. I was a little confused because I look out the window every morning and have not seen this star before.

It did not appear to be moving at all. After about 15 seconds, it suddenly dimmed to a very small pinprick of light, and then dimmed out altogether. I looked carefully to see if a cloud had passed in front of this star, but it was very clear.

I did see one faint patch of cloud, but this was nowhere near this "star". That's it, that is my sighting. Not very eventful except that I keep seeing objects like this on a regular basis.

Back in April I was going to work early in the morning when I got the impression to look up, and I saw a very bright light just like the one I saw tonight, which also quickly faded out a few seconds later. Over the past five years or so I have seen about half a dozen lights like this. You can't help but feel that these objects are appearing for the express purpose that you see them.

I am not a nut job, but I know what I am seeing, and I am seeing these objects on a regular basis. I have a very difficult time believing it is just a coincidence that I repeatedly look up just as some bright military aircraft or other object is hovering in the sky, and then quickly turns off its lights, or jets away. Altogether, I have seen UFOs about a dozen times in my life, three times up close with much detail.

But the last few years I seem to just "look up" and there they are. What they are I have no clue. I am rather religious and do not believe these objects are from other planets, I rather believe they are spiritual in nature.

Still, why do I keep seeing these things? Most people never see a single UFO in their entire life, I have probable seen at least a dozen. What does it mean? Oh well, that's it. I have turned a very short and unremarkable sighting into something big, but when you keep seeing these things, it begins to get to you after awhile.

I suddenly got the thought to "look up." I go to work very early in the morning. On Tuesday, April 15, at around 3:40 A.

M., as I was just about to open my car door and get in, I suddenly got the thought to "look up". I did look up directly at a very bright light in the northwestern sky.

It was bigger and brighter than any star or planet I have ever seen. As I watched, I noticed it was moving slowly due north. It remained bright for only a few seconds and rapidly faded to a very small and dim dot that continued north.

I watched it for maybe ten seconds, and then got in my car and proceeded to work. I have to admit I was a little shaken by the experience because of my sudden impulse and thought to look up. This is not the first object I have seen and I have made quite a few reports here.

I seem to see things like this quite often, not really sure why. I don't know what it was, but it was this single bright white light, MUCH larger and brighter than any star or planet I have ever seen. I did not see any red or green directional lights as aircraft have.

I could not tell how high it was, but I got the impression it was very high up in the sky, maybe 30-40,000 feet or so. It was difficult to judge the speed as well, but it moved about the speed an airliner would move at high altitude. I have seen aircraft high in the sky light up when they reflect the sun, but this was a full 3 hours before sunrise, so I do not believe that is what I saw.

Anyway, that is it, it was a very simple and short sighting, but it did shake me up for awhile that morning.

2 fireballs in sky, hovered then vanished. Went to go on porch, saw 2 fireball objects in sky southwest of where I was going northeast, then went to get my gf, came out, they hovered for a minute went back due south, the first went took off, to a white light then vanished, then 2nd one did same. Now both gone.

It was a clear night.

Two orange illuminated objects, total silence from them which made 3 passes in front of my house about 10 min of activity. Around 9:05 pm I was sitting in my room watching a movie when I noticed 2 orange lights coming from the direction of Norfolk and jumped up to look out the window. There were 2 orange lights flying in the sky, they looked like a soft serve ice cream at first and then went to a roundish shape.

They glided thru the sky right in front of my house. They would fly together very close and then separate. One was flying up and down and the other followed the flight pattern.

They proceed past the house then were gone. Approximately a minute went by and they came back from the same location, almost like they circled but they disappeared so I didn't see them circle. And again they acted as if they were playing tag if you will with each other.

Then like the first time the disappeared. Then the next time it was more like 3 minutes had passed and only one appeared again from the same direction. It was moving slower then the first two passes and hovered right in front of th! e house for what seemed a while but actually was no more then a minute, then shot off straight up and was gone.

The orange was luminating, like a fire crystal, which would take a hue or red but stayed this orange color. I grabbed my phone and took 3 pictures, 2 pictures are of each craft and one picture is of both of them. The pictures aren't detailed because of the phone but you can make out they aren't aircraft.

There was also no noise, nothing, no humming, no motor. The other person that was here with me is my children's step father who was working out in the other room when I called him in to watch them with me.i am 45 yrs old and he is 36.

We are average people that have 4 kids together and feel what we saw was UFO's.

WHILE WAS TAKING MY EXIT THE OBJECT WENT ACROSS IN FRONT OF MY CAR AND STOP TO MY RIGHT SIDE OF CAR OVER THE TREES ABOT 5 FEET AND THE LIGHT WAS OFF. THERE WAS TWO RED LIGHT TO EACH AND OF WING AND ONE IN CENTER I BELEIVE WAS BLEU. I WAS STOP AT THE STREET LIGHT LOOKING AT IT FOR LESS THEN 1 MIN.

twin-lights shoot over sky at a unbelievable speed over torrington, Connecticut 3/25/07 @ 8:58 P.M. I noticed 2 star-sized lights that moved horizontaly next to each other across the sky from the east towards the west toward new york.

They appeared to be white lights. It was a very clear night and I was outside in my hot-tub with my wife.I looked up into the eastern sky above my garage roof and at first thought that it was a meteor till I realized that there was two that were side by side .

I imeadiately informed my wife as I jumped out of the hot-tub to run through the snow to my fence on the west side of my property (about 30 feet )because of pine branches that were in the way of the sky , but it was too late,as it was past the horizon . I always see many jets and planes that come in to my view in my back-yard and it takes a considerable time to cross from where I can see them from east to west ,4-6 minutes approximatly ,but these two objects stayed next to each other and traveled as fast as a meteor and within 3-4 seconds it went from the east to the west and out of sight . my wife did not see it ,as it happened so fast.

Two Jupiters!!! I just saw this minutes ago. I went out on my porch to have a cigarette. I looked up at Jupiter.

I am very familiar with the night sky as I have enjoyed amateur astronomy all my life. I own a nice telescope and have been observing Jupiter and Saturn within the last week. As I looked up to see Jupiter I was very surprised.

There were two of them! This really threw me and confused me. The reason I say there were two Jupiters is that both objects looked identical in magnitude, size and even color. Jupiter is a yellowish-white to the eye.

I knew one of these objects could not be Jupiter, so I watched carefully for movement. I did not see any movement or seperation whatsoever. Both objects were completely still in the sky.

I noticed that the northern-most object had a fainter star-like object very close by. So I was utterly confused. I did not know what this second object was.

I stared at both for about 15 seconds (I wasn't sure which was the real Jupiter). Then I noticed that the one to the north started to dim out as did it's companion. The sky is clear tonight, no clouds at all, very good visibility.

This object was about 5 degrees or a fist held at arms length north of Jupiter. It took about 15 seconds to dim. I could still see this object as a very faint star-like object for about another 15-20 seconds.

Then I could see it no more. I watched for several minutes but did not see this object again. I came right in to make this report.

I don't know what this object was but it did not move at all the entire time I observed it. I am very familiar with aircraft and satellites. It did not make any sound whatsoever.

There were no clouds. I could still see all surrounding stars the entire time.

Strange Light Returns I feel a little foolish making this report, as I just submitted a report for 9/7/04. All I can say is that I am not a person who makes things up. I think I am a very careful observer and I can only tell you what I saw.

On Sunday, Sept. 12 I went out on my porch to look at the sky. It was about 8:00 P.

M. My 2nd floor apartment faces Southeast. I looked to my right (Southwest) and saw a bright, large, white light approaching at low altitude.

This looked very similar to the object I reported on the 7th. Only this time the object appeared much lower in the sky. I have no way of knowing for sure, but I would estimate the object was only 1000 feet up or so.

This time I did not hesitate. I ran inside and grabbed my pair of 7 X 35 binoculors. As I came back out the object was just beginning to pass over my head.

It was moving in a straight Southwest to Northwest direction. I estimate the speed at somewhere between 100-150 MPH. Looking at the object did not change much.

It still appeared to be a solid ball of white light. I tried to stabilize the binoculars on one of the porch columns to get a steady view. At one time I thought I might have seen a small dark (almost black) triangle leading this light, but I am not completely sure of this.

It made absolutely no sound whatsover. It passed by me and continued it's steady course. As it got to the Northeast it took on a reddish hue.

I thought this might be from haze. It then dimmed and seemed to blink out. I couldn't help but think it was turning off it's lights as it would be approaching Bradley Airport just north of Hartford.

I looked carefully, at no time were there any other lights other than the one solid white light. This object appeared the same from every perspective. It was a ball of light.

About one minute later a small private plane flew by travelling at about the same altitude and direction. However this small plane was a greater distance away from me. I could hear the small plane clearly and also see directional lights as well.

The small plane was travelling about the same speed as the object. I watched the small plane as it flew off in the Northeast. It never dimmed and I could see it's lights until it flew over the treeline in the distance.

So much for the haze. Maybe 5 minutes later I saw a bright white light coming from the Northeast. I thought the object might be returning.

But looking with binoculars I could see 2 small white lights in the center, and the red and green directional lights on the wings. This was an airliner which I see many of every night. One thing occured to me.

As this airliner flew by I could no longer see the white lights on the front. I could also hear it clearly and it was at a much higher altitude than the object I observed.
