I was walking my dog on Middlebeach Road around 6:00am this morning, when I noticed what appeared to be a strange round cloud with a trail behind it. It appeared to to be leaving a trail behind it. It stood out because in the Eastern sky, the sun was rising and I had just taken a few Photos and videos of sunrise.
It was 29 degrees, under partly cloudy skies . A man happened to be jogging by me while I was seeing this and I stopped him to ask him what he thought it was. He was as perplexed as I was.
I continued to photograph the object. It appeared to move extremely slowly and was leaving a cloud like trail behind it. There were no lights.
There was no sound other than the sound of the water and at times I would seem to blend into the sky and then reappear. I would put the object somewhere over Long Island sound or over Nassau County, NY. I have at least 30 still shots taken with iPhone 10s Plus 256.

another fireball sighting in the sky maybe two . was going to work at three in the morning . at my back stairs i looked up and saw a streak of light.
At that time also saw a jet flying in almost in the same direction. Looking just above the tree line observed a fireball shaped thing. It moved around in many directions .
up, down, speed off sideways at a very fast speed than return to same spot and hover moving around just a little bit. I am seeing a pattern forming here. Seems that these objects appear while there is no moon.
I have tried to video this but lack the proper video tools to document what is going on here . this is a real case and should not be ignored. I have seen this once before.
Same craft same area just about.

Mistaken sighting for two stars (sic. Planets?) in the eastern sky just before sunrise. I had made a report of a sighting in Madison, Connecticut on the 18 of this month.
Sorry to say it was 2 stars in the eastern sky. The other sighting earlier in the year was for sure a real sighting. Guess I am hoping for another sighting as grand as the first one.
Sorry to bother you with a false sighting.

THERE IS SOMETHING OUT THERE WATCHING US. OBSERVING THIS PLANET WHILE DELIVERING MY MORNING PAPERS LIKE I DO EVERY MORNING. I HAD WITNESSED A OBJECT IN THE LOW HORIZON.
SEEMED TO BE TWO LIGHTS ONE BIGGER THAN THE OTHER. ATTEMPTED TO VIDEO THE SITE BUT DID NOT PICK UP THE IMAGE. I DID TAKE PHOTOS AS WELL.
BECAUSE OF THE PHONE I USED ITS JUST A BLUR WHEN ZOOMED IN ON. THIS OBJECT DID NOT MOVE NO NOISE AND OBSERVED IT FOR AWHILE . I STILL HAD A JOB TO DO SO I TRIED TO KEEP AN EYE ON IT FROM TIME TO TIME .
IT DID NOT MOVE IT REMAINED IN THE SAME POSITION SO IT WAS NOT A STAR THAT I KNOW OF IN THAT PART OF THE SKY. IT WAS VISIBLE TILL SUN UP . I CAN SWEAR THAT I DID SEE WHAT APPEARED TO BE A SILVERY CLOUD SHAPE AFTER SUNRISE.
IT WAS STILL IN THE VERY SAME PLACE AS WHEN I FIRST SAW IT. I HAVE HAD A SEEN A ANOTHER OBJECT BEFORE AWHILE BACK BUT WAS MUCH FARTHER AWAY AND IN ANOTHER POSITION IN THE SKY AND THAT ONE WAS MOVING AROUND. I BELIEVE THAT I HAD THREE SIGHTING THAT I CANNOT EXPLAIN.
FUNNY THING IS NO ONE ELSE SEEMS TO HAVE WITNESSED THIS. WERE NOT ALONG HERE AND WHO EVER THEY ARE SEEM TO OUTSMART OUR RADAR I GUESS . HAS MUCH TO DO WITH THE SHAPE OF THE CRAFT I THINK.

IT WAS NOT SOMETHING OF THIS EARTH NOT MAN MADE FLYS AROUND LIKE THIS THING DID OBJECT APPEARED IN THE SOUTH SOUTHWEST SKY AT ABOUT 2 O'CLOCK POSITION. OBSERVED FOR ONLY 10 MIN. CIRCULAR IN SHAPE NOTE THAT IT WAS AT A LONG DISTANCE AWAY SO NOT SURE OF SHAPE.
OBJECT MOVED IN STRANGE WAYS SO IT COULD NOT HAVE BEEN MAN MADE AIRCRAFT. IT SEEMED TO BE A RED AN YELLOW COLOR. I HAD TAKEN A VIDEO OF THIS OBJECT, IT'S BRIEF AND IT'S HARD TO TELL WHAT IT WAS BUT ITS MOVEMENT WAS WEIRD GOING IN MANY DIRECTIONS.
I HAD SAW A CRESENT MOON SHAPED OBJECT IF YOU CAN IMAGINE A CRESENT MOON UPSIDE SIDE DOWN WITH THE CRESENT AT THE TOP. THAT WAS BACK IN LATE OCTOBER. BOTH TIMES THE SKY WAS CLEAR AND JUST BEFORE SUNRISE.

Orange Glowing Fireball moved South, then North, then disappeared. We were watching neighbors with fireworks when we noticed, very high up in the sky over the Long Island Sound, a white moving object. I said "Look, it's a UFO" and all of a sudden, the orange fireball came down toward us so we could have a good look at it! It sounds strange, but I thought it heard me! We were amazed and also kind of scared.
It hovered about and then eventually moved north in the sky to fade away.

7 Large bright lights over North Madison in cloudy, overcast 2:00 AM sky 9/23/2012 I live surrounded by acres and acres of land trust in North Madison, CT. I have a little ranch house set in the woods but the area around the house is clear of trees. I have a dog who usually has to go out during the night.
Sometimes I let him out on the back lead and let him wander or I take him out front on leash for a quick pee. He woke me up at 2:22am September 23, 2012 to go out. I took him out the front.
He did his business but seemed like he wanted to do more, so I walked him a bit down the driveway. When I had originally stepped out I looked up at the sky to see what the weather would be like the next morning. It was overcast and cloudy, no black sky and absolutely no stars.
As I walked down the driveway I noticed several very bright, big lights in the sky. They were situated over an area which is a state park called Chatfield Hollow in CT. I thought it was weird because if they were stars, first of all they were super big and bright and there was no black sky around them, just a hazy cloudy sky.
So my sleepy mind is trying to figure how these stars are shining through the clouds. Then I noticed a clearing in the trees that 3 of them are in a perfect vertical line spaced evenly apart. My first thought it was the 3 Sisters stars but then realized it couldn’t be them because the 3 Sisters are not so perfectly spaced or in such a straight line.
I then noticed to the left a second set of 3 lights perfectly spaced in a straight vertical line running horizontal to the first set. They stood motionless but were giving off a very bright glow. Then I noticed a 7th light off to the left, almost like it was the sideways tip of a pyramid (for all 7 in formation) These lights were spaced out very far apart like several football field lengths.
This 7th tip light was just as bright but had more of a redish glow. I remember thinking Mars, maybe this was Mars. This is what really scared me….
about 7 seconds after I turned my face up to this 7th light and I am trying to figure it out, it got a little brighter for a second, like a quick pulse and then went out But it wasn’t a quick switch off more like a quick pull back. And my first thought was….”.
Oh my God, they saw me seeing them….” I quickly went back into the house. Needless to say I did not sleep most of the night.
About 10 minutes later I heard an airforce jet fly over coming from the area the lights were and over my house. So I was wondering if someone else saw these and reported to the airforce. I dozed off somewhere around 4:20 and 5:15.
My senses were so alert to all noises at this point. Normally it is so quite at night you can hear your own blood in your veins, but what woke me up was a low steady humming sound that lasted for about 10 minutes. But I also noticed the crickets got louder if that makes sense.
I was thinking why are they so loud and was afraid to look out the window as I was sure I would see a UFO hovering over my house. This wan't a plan or helicopter as the sound was the same and steady and then gone. So I lay in bed literally frozen in fear and after ten minutes the humming went away and the crickets sounds had diminished greatly.
About another 15 minutes passes and I hear the humming again but it is fa! ther away, it didn’t feel like it was right over my house and the crickets got louder. I remember thinking o.k.
now they are over my neighbor’shome, who is down the road a bit. It then went away about 10 minutes later and the crickets quieted down. A third time I heard the humming faintly, crickets got louder and then it went away.
Crickets got quieter. I definitely could tell the difference in the sounds when the humming stopped. (I do not have a furnace that could possibly have made this noise) At about 5:45 I could finally breath and close my eyes to rest.
Here is the really weird thing, my daughter who is 21, her bedroom window faces where the lights were and her bed is up against the window. When she got up I didn’t mention anything to her. I asked her how she slept.
She said she got up in the middle of the night and closed the curtains on her window. She said she woke up in the middle of the night with the weird feeling someone was watching her, “like some creepy guy”. There was definitely something to these lights.
I figured if they wanted to harm us they could do it anytime and there is nothing I can do about it, you can’t call the police. I know I am not crazy, I don’t drink or take drugs, I am a professional and I have no reason to make this up. Box shaped object witnessed hovering above Madison connector. While driving north on the Madison connector, just outside of Hammonassett State Park, a box shaped object was seen hovering over the road approximately 25-30ft. While passing underneath the object two read lights were observed on either side of the box.
(like a set of red eyes) After passing under the object it could then be seen in the rearview mirror of the witnesses vehicle. The witness continued to watch it hover for about 2 more seconds before it swiftly moved up and disappeared into the sky. No sound could be heard coming from the object, nor was there any other like but the two read dots.
Note: the object seemed to move slightly up and down as it hovered. ((NUFORC Note: Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information. PD)).

Pulsating Diamond On the night of Friday 27-Aug-2010 at 2217hrs my wife and I along with another couple and the children were setting up our campsite at the Hammonasset State Park in Madison CT. My wife said to everyone "look at that!" we all turned to the southeast and witnessed a diamond shaped object pulsating red/orange moving slowly to the northeast, I was able to take a compass bearing on the object of 150*. I referenced the object with two pine trees at a range of approximatley 100m across a flat open field the object was situated at an elevation equivelant to two horizontal fingerwidths above the two pine trees the object steadily moved to a bearing of 120* paused for approximatley 2 seconds and then rapidly ascended to the east at a high angle of ascent and disapeared out of site.
The weather was as follows: Skies-clear with abundent stars visible and the moon was a wanning gibbous providing significant lighting, enough so that I would expect an exhaust/vapor trail t! o be visible , Winds-Calm, Temperature-Approximatlety 60*F, Humidity-Low. The object made no noise, there was no trail of exhaust/vapor visible. I did not notice any aircraft in the area at the time of the sighting.
I called the NUFORC hotline to report shortly after the incident occured. As we were in the process of setting up camp a camera was not readily accessible and I did not want to take my eyes off of the object. My exact location at the time of the incident was 41* 16'21.
7N 72* 35'51.1W.

While on Greenhill Road in Madison, Connecticut, coming from Killingworth, Connecticut, at approximately 7:40 P.M. last night, on Friday, January 18, 2008, I saw a round light fall from the sky.
The light was not colored. It did not blink or make any noise. If the sun were a basketball, this object was the size of a baseball.
My first thought was the object was a shooting star. But the sky was dark last night. And, I honestly do not know what a shooting star is.
My second thought was that I saw a meteor or some debris from an airplane Then, as I watched the trajectory of the object, the object moved northward, toward North Madison. I watched this object move for about ten to fifteen seconds. What bothered me was that the object did not fall straight downward.
The arc created was at least 1000 arms in length – perhaps even some several thousand arms in length. (I am a terrible judge of distance). I pulled my car over to the side of the road and waited for a crash: the object just disappeared out of my sight.
I’ve never seen anything like it. The object was not an airplane or helicopter. It was moving way too fast to be either.
Nor was the light source originating from the ground: there was no light beneath it. More specifically, if someone had beamed a flashlight or advertising light into the air, there would have been traces of light underneath this beam. There were none.
I probably would have just shrugged the entire incident off as being a shooting star or meteor – and it’s entirely possible that’s what I saw. However, when I turned on the TV at 9:00 PM EST, to the Larry King Live episode regarding the sightings in Texas, I figured at a minimum, I needed to report this.

I am a business consultant with an MBA currently on vacation, renting a beach house on the Connecticut shore. My 14-yr-old nephew and my 18 yr-old babysitter saw UFOs first. I arrived home with my 22 yr-old niece at about 10:30 pm on 8/25 and they were excited, having seen about 10 "sparkling" objects flying in the sky above Long Island Sound.
As I spoke with them about it, several more appeared in the sky, and by midnight we had seen approximately 40 of them. They would fly from over the ocean to inland, all in the same direction, approx. SE to NE.
Several of these objects would fly in triangle or trapazoid patterns and looked to deliberately fly close and then closely cross each other's flight paths. At times, they looked like they might crash. Two flew very low over our heads and we could see the bottom of one.
It looked like a triangle with a light at each point. When the objects flew over, a low flying helicopter appeared and at first appeared to follow one of the objects, but then contiuned straight on its path, away from the object. During this 2 hour period, there was a very low "planet" sitting over the water.
It was motionless, large, shiny and sparkled red, blue, green and white. At 11:50, it stopped sparkling, dimmed and flew off in the direction of the other objects. None of these objects made any noise - all were completely silent.
The next night we sat out at 10:15 pm to see if we'd see them again and did. We saw approximately 30 "sparklers" flying in the same direction as the previous night and behaving the same way as had the others. We also sat out last night and saw approximately 10 "sparklers" - same MO.
I contacted an Air Force office in New Haven (a number I received from 411) and they said there were no bases in CT, Montauk was not being used (closest military base to us, although it was closed decades ago), they were not flying over Madison, Ct and the objects "were not ours." We will sit out tonight to see if any more of these strange objects appear. Post Script: Also: On the second night, a large bright white object appeared low in the sky over the water, arced directly down towards the water and disappeared.
((NUFORC Note: We have spoken with this witness on several occasions, and she sounds sincere and credible to us. We do not know what the witnesses observed. PD)).

Gigantic mass of light lit up the bay then followed me and split into two shooting lights over my head I lived on the water and was sitting on the beach late one summer night with a friend. At some point, we became aware of a gigantic light (with no sound, only silence and the waves) filling our little bay, as if an incredibly huge spotlight (or gigantic ball of light) was shining on it - I say "became aware" because oddly enough, our awareness of this light - something so extraordinary as to warrant a seriously excited response I should think - elicited in us at first no response or comment, as if we saw this kind of thing everyday, and it was almost in passing that I finally asked my friend if she noticed this huge light shining in front of us. She said she did and we simply continued to sit there and stare at it.
This huge light should have lit up the pier and the rocks on either side of it, but really didn't - it just lit up the water as if the light were somehow localized or focused on the water. I think I recall mentioning this odd "light behavior" to my friend while sitting on the beach and incredibly enough, I think she may have said something like, "It must be the sun" - which was a ridiculous thing to say when it's nighttime, and this out-of-character (in that it was absurd) comment from a girl who was an impressive student, high achiever and is now a doctor. I don't know if the light was there when we walked onto the beach and sat down (I don't remember doing that either), and have no memory of seeing the light emerge from the darkness - it was simply "there" by the time we "noticed" it and I thought to ask my friend if she too was seeing it.
So after a time - it may have been 5 minutes or an hour or 3 hours (I just don't have any idea of the time), I said that it was odd that no one else was out on the beach looking at this (it was impossible not to see it if you were awake - it was that huge and the houses on the beach were right next to each other, with 10 houses directly facing the bay and the light). I decided to get up and go wake up my brother to show him, as the light was constant and didn't seem to be going anywhere, and it seemed to have been there a long time. So I walked up the beach, walked up the beach stairs to the top of our seawall and just as I reached the top, the light rose up, traveled to directly over my head, stayed there for a beat and then split into two smaller lights which then shot off in opposite directions.
And that was that. It was gone. I walked back to the beach and my friend still sitting there and attempted to talk with her about it and she turned to me and said "I don't ever want to talk about this again.
" And she walked home down the beach. And we never mentioned it again. In fact, I never told anyone until about 10 years later.
Not because I was worried about what anyone would think, but because it didn't (oddly enough again) seem "newsworthy" or "interesting," which, of course, it absolutely was. The following morning, no one else in our neighborhood mentioned it, either. Perhaps they didn't see it, or like me, didn't find it "newsworthy.
" Another odd thing is that my friend and I were only 14. Neither of us was allowed out on the beach (or anywhere) alone at midnight (my best guess as to time, as no one was awake in the neighborhood), and my friend's parents were especially strict. Her summer curfew was about 9 pm back then.
I find it odd that we were even out there at that time, that neither of us were "missed" while we were out, that no one came looking for us, that neither of us got caught or got in trouble for being out of the house so late at night, and that no one else in our crowded little area saw this. From the light, to our reaction, to even our presence there on the beach, the whole thing could not be stranger. About 10 years later, I was riding in the car with my fiancee, and was reading a book about UFO sightings.
A description of a sighting in the book was almost identical to the experience I'd had and I read it to him and told him that I had witnessed something similar. We had been together for 7 years at that point and when he asked me why I'd never mentioned it before, I was truly puzzled and wondered myself why I hadn't mentioned it to him or anyone before that. In fact, I've considered filling out your form many times before and haven't, because I didn't think it was really of interest, but now that I have finally written it down, it does seem quite a strange and maybe even amazing event.

Event 1) Glowing sphere tracing shoreline and crashed into the water. Event 2) Datona Beach FL. Flat hourglass shaped black craft off the top floor of a high rise hotel.
While sitting on the beach in Madison CT I saw what appeared to be a shooting start. 10 minutes later I saw trees in the distance being luminated. 10 minutes after that a sphere approx.
3 feet in diameter and glowing with an egg shell color. It slowly traced the shoreline over approx. 100 feet for several minutes.
It then shot inland at a very high speed with little more than a slight whoosh. 15 minutes later it returned to the same spot. After several minutes of shoreline tracing it seemed to lose control, traced out a 5 point star pattern, each leg being about 50 feet in length and crashed into the water about 50 feet off the shoreline where it broke open.
Inside was what appeared to be a fiber optic "looking" cable bunch about 4 or 5 inches in diameter. Wall thickness appeared to be 1/4 to 1/2 inch, smooth inside and out. It floated on the water for about 10 minutes still glowing.
After 10 minutes it slowly dimmed and sank. In the summer 1981 in Datona Beach I saw an object shaped like a fat flat hour glass on a disk. It appeared black against the clouds and sat right outside the top floor of a high rise hotel.
10 or 15 seconds after I saw it, it made a made a very high speed assent into the clouds in a long lazy "S" shape. I would be interested in finding out if anyone else had seen either of these sightings. Thanks,((name deleted)).

Grey overcast sky with a shard of sunlight breaking thru & hitting the top of a motionless object. After a minute it flys directly away I’m 68 years old and this is the first time I’ve officially reported this sighting fearing that I would be ridiculed or mocked for it. I’m not judging what I saw.
I only know that I don’t know what it was or what it could’ve been. There’s nothing then or know that can come close to explaining it. I was 17 at the time and practicing alone for a tournament on a golf course that by all rights should’ve been busier.
It’s a beach course and I still remember to this day the 7 iron I had just hit the ball with. When I looked up to track the shot, that’s when I noticed it. It was a grey overcast sky except for the shards of sunlight that streamed through a small opening in the cloud layer that brought the object to my attention.
The object was under and in direct line with that beam of sunlight which reflected brilliantly off the top of a metallic (?) disk like object delineating the dark underside of it. The top was undulating or possibly emitting pulsating light, I couldn’t tell. But It was broad daylight and exceptionally bright over that disc.
I remember shouting the words “Hey!” Several times to either draw attention to myself by it or anyone else on the course that could corroborate what I was witnessing. That’s when I noticed there was no one else around at least not on any of the holes near me. Not a soul.
That surprised me under the circumstances. Over the next few moments that I’ll never forget, the experience was utterly baffling in every conceivable way. Truly, I was filled with an overwhelming sense of awe and wonder that persists to this day.
When I first saw it, it was hovering motionless about 500 meters away from me and roughly between 100-200 meters off the ground and completely soundless. It was large but of indeterminate size because I couldn’t be absolutely sure how far away it was from me. Then, after several more moments, the disc like object slipped silently and directly away from me out from under the sunlight at a high rate of speed and then executed an impossible angular change of direction vertically at a sharp angle and disappeared into the cloud layer.
Any reasonable explanation escaped me then and even now I can’t fully understand what I saw. Nothing can. What it was and the way it moved is simply beyond my comprehension.
What I’d like to know is, in all of your archives, are there any similar reports like mine involving a disc shaped object reported along the Connecticut shoreline in the area of Clinton, Madison, or Guilford during the early to mid summer of 1973. I couldn’t find any on my own. It’s frustrating because I know what I saw was real.
I just don’t know what on earth it could have been. So If there's anyone out there that might’ve seen what I did, that would certainly be comforting.
