Glowing round object descends from sky the shoots out of site. While walking my dog in a dark area I was gazing up at the sky while my dog did his business. When I saw a large round glowing object lower straight down from the sky and hover still for approximately 10 seconds.
It then shot across the sky towards to east in an upwards ascending motion. This object was very large and very quiet. It felt like it lasted for minutes but in reality is guess the whole event was less than 30 seconds.

Flying craft spotted over the water in East Haven, moved along the streets out of sight. I was driving home from work and came around the bend to see a few bright lights hovering over the water near Anthony's Oceanside restaurant. It looked like possibly a drone, but was enormous.
I assumed there was something going on at the resort and this was some kind of manned object. However, as I drove out of sight, the houses were blocking my view, I noticed the lights seeming to move away from the water. As I rounded the corner towards the intersection, I saw the craft cross the intersection several hundred feet ahead of me.
It was hovering maybe 50 feet above the ground, it appeared to move over the powerlines, passing by the Morris Cove fire house and by the pizza place, down the road. I did not follow. It had red and white lights, and was triangular in shape as far as I could tell.
The lights hovering above the ground were the easiest thing to see in the darkness. It looked to be at least the size of a large car, but much wider at the base.

Fireball looked like plane on fire. Saw what looked like a fireball or plane on fire in the sky. We live right by an airport, so I first shrugged it off then thought that's like on fire or something so I ran inside to get my husband.
He's usually the one that explains things and he said the same thing like a plane on fire but no blinking lights at all or a tail or trail. It flew off over the house towards the Long Island Sound. I wish I would have taken a picture, but it happened so fast after I ran back inside to get my husband.

I leaned out my window to smoke a cigarette, as I don't smoke inside my home, and it was too cold to go directly outside. I do this a few times a night so I always look at the stars. My attention was drawn to the brightest star I've ever seen.
Then I noticed it didn't appear to be a star at all. Instead it looked something like my imagination would envision a rocket to look like; except it was stationary. It was many times brighter and lower than any other star in the sky.
It didn't twinkle. It seemed as if the main body had almost a diamond shape and an equally as bright white trail. Then to my amazement as I scanned the sky I saw two more of the exact same description.
The brightest was to the north of my location. The one in the sky directly before me (I was facing east so it would have been out over the Atlantic shore) seemed highest in the sky. The third was in between the altitude of the other two and was in the southern sky.
They were equidistant from one another. I know they weren't stars because there were stars in the sky and none looked anything like these. I watched as long as the cold would allow me, about twenty minutes.

Huge fireball came straight down from nowhere. I went outside on the back porch to have a cigarette about 3:30am, as I often do. I was looking east, just noticing the complete quiet and stillness of the night.
I was out there for 3 or 4 minutes, when suddenly a huge, round, extremely bright fireball seemed to just drop straight down out of the sky from no where! It seemed as if it was coming directly towards me, as it was getting bigger and brighter. It was going faster than any airplane I have ever seen, but not as fast as a shooting star. Its movement seemed very deliberate.
After about 45 or so seconds, it seemed to stop for a moment, and then go in the opposite direction. I briefly thought it disappeared, it seemed to turn white for a moment, then bright red again while continuing in the second direction away from me. About 15-20 seconds later, it just disappeared.
I just stood there in complete amazement for the next 5 minutes! About 5 hours earlier, I witnessed with my next door neighbor, a series! of bright, white, round objects, (15 or so), traveling in some sort of pattern, from west to east. I wrote out one of these reports earlier about that incident! My friend was joking earlier saying "are we being invaded'? I laughed! Now maybe it isn't so funny! What are we seeing?.

Several bright, round, silent, large objects going across the sky in formation, then disappearing. My next door neighbor and myself were outside talking, as we often do. I myself am outside nightly observing the sky.
I have seen hundreds of shooting stars, the ISS, drones, satellites, etc. All of a sudden I looked up, and saw a formation of several large, round, bright lights moving across the sky. They were completely silent.
I was yelling to my friend "do you see that"? We both just stood and stared. Some were in a line, some in a triangular shape, followed by more in a line. Looking up they went along much faster than any aircraft we had ever seen, and then just disappeared one by one.
About a minute after they were gone, three more came across, one by one, followed the same path as the others, and disappeared as well. They remained completely silent. They were about 1/2 the size of a full moon, but much more brilliant.
I myself have also seen, 3 times in my life, UFO's. This was nothing like any of them. What did we see?.

Unusual and astonishing to see this. While driving my car on I-95 I saw an object that was blue and green and red at its tip and it had a white tail that was intermittant. This object went from south to north and had an arc type of movement.
I at first thought that it was a rocket and looked to my right to see if it would explode or crash, but it just vanished. It had to be moving at a tremendous speed for I saw it covered the arc of the night sky from south to north in two seconds.

A white egg shaped light suddenly dissappears and more return. Well. I am very interested in stars so sometimes I take my dads binoculars to look at the stars.
On this cold autumn night i saw lots of stars and when i looked to the right on almost the edge of th tree line a saw this white and shaded blue egg shaped opject. It seemed to hover and there was no noise it was dead silent. It moved very fast but gracefully and I saw a beam of light come out from under it.
The glowing object suddenly it becxame bigger like it was coming to me and I backed up behind my dads truck to stay safe and the object was still in sight. Then the object had a red beam of light and beamed it into the front of it and then turned white and quickly dissappeared into a white light and it fell behind the trees. At first it looked ligth a shooting star but to the naked eye it looked like an egg shaped object.
I used the buinoculars to look at where the light went off and I saw it hiding behind the trees. Then it disappeared. When I went to look into the night sky again I noticed that the place I was looking at was full of the object there must have been lie 30 of them!!! They started to blink and I ran inside still watching.
They suddenly dissapeared 30 seconds after. This sighting is not a hoax and it is real!!!! I feel that this wass very freaky. If anyone else saw it I know they would feel this way too.

Daytime sighting, boomerang-like shape, camo color It never occurred to me to report what I witnessed this past spring, but after seeing a recent TV program I realize my experience may be insightful or useful to someone. It was particularly unusual b/c it was a beautifully clear afternoon in the spring with blue skys and wispy clouds. I was doing yard work and scanning the sky for the local redtail hawks when my eye was drawn to a moving object far above traveling west to east.
It flew silently in a straight line and into the horizon of the trees. Incredibly, it appeared to be camouflaged with the blue sky. What was remarkable was I never would have noticed it in the sky except that the moment my eye caught it, it was moving over a cloud.
I saw a definite fixed shape and structure. Even once it passed the cloud its outline was well defined although the blue color of the craft matched the sky. It was shaped, overall, as a triangle, but its edges were rounded and the rear edge slightly curved towards the front "point".
I suppose the "boomerang" description is most applicable, but its width was fatter or thicker than that word implies. It may or may not be pertinent to note there were no lights beaming, flashing, or shining. I watched it, awestruck, (it was daytime!), unlike anything I've seen or experienced, until it was gone in the distance.
There was an object flying at a high speed and I sure as heck can't identify it to be anything of this world. Immediately afterwards, I ran inside and sketched what I saw. I don't know if anyone has ever had a similar experience, maybe this report can be of use to someone along the line.
I am a 24 year old student working towards a degree in communication disorders to become a speech and language pathologist. I consider myself conservative, analytic, and not easily fooled. I was so moved by what I saw that day, it was profound.
it was what it was. ((NUFORC Note: Witness indicates that the date of the incident is approximate. PD)).

Telephoned Report: A public official, with expertise in the field of aviation, telephoned NUFORC to relay a report from a citizen. The citizen had called the Tweed/New Haven, CT, Airport, to report allegedly having witnessed a very bizarre, fast-moving light zigzagging through the night sky. The witness did not state what the (apparent) size or color of the light was, and he declined to leave any contact or personal information.
The object was visible for a very short period of time, perhaps only seconds, the reporting official surmised, based on his brief conversation with the witness.

Weather or NOT a Balloon!!! I can't believe I found this site! Anyways, This was so vivid that I can still see it. It was a fall day. The Yankees had just beaten the Dodgers in the World series game in La to go up 3 games to 2.
We were outside shooting hoops in the driveway. Me, a couple of my friends and my Brother. I believe my Mother was inside at the time, I can't remember if my other Sister or Father were? Just over the tree tops heading in the direction similar to flight patterns of planes landing at Tweed New Haven airport was this disc shaped object with white rotating lights around the rim of it.
Clear as day. It was maybe a few hundred feet or so above the rooftops of the homes. We lived on a dead end and it was a crisp cool autumn day.
Not too many people were out, other than those at our home. I ran inside to see if my Mother had heard our calls and looked out to see it. I fumbled for the phone and called information for Tweed New Haven.
Once I called I asked them if they had been receiving calls about a UFO sighting. He blew it off stating that it was a weather balloon and the lights that I was seeing rotating were a messageboard saying "congratulations to the Yankees" for winning the world series! It was at that point, a young boy and avid Yankee and sports fan in general responded " The Yanks didn't win the series.they're up 3 games to 2"! The man.
fumbled for words again and dismissed quickly saying they'll make note of the report. But not to worry!!! ((NUFORC Note: The 5th game of the 1977 World Series was played on Sunday, October 16, 1977, at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles. We have amended the date above.
