Lights with fired object from larger craft Triangle with the front with glowing Red and Orange/Purple light. Came from Southeast from ocean. Stayed in that same type formation.
Then it glowed bright white from front tip of triangle formation. Fired a white type circular type object that traveled west then went towards the west. It circled over the Cape Fear River to MOTSU Sunny Point Military Ocean Terminal.
Then back over land to the ocean, Then it disappears. Kinda like it burned out or went dark. Estimated speed was at least 4x a normal airliner it appeared.
No noise at all. Idk if it’s extra terrestrial or some military aircraft. But seems very high tech with extreme high speed.
Btw: It’s becoming routine to see these strange incidents between 20:15 to 22:45 hours almost every night now. If it’s clear outside. Always coming off the ocean.
Never appear on flight tracker either.

Appeared over ocean single at first. Thought it was a Shrimp Boat. The second appeared about a minute later beside the first.
Then a third appears about 30 seconds after second. All three stayed hovering over ocean for about 5 more minutes. Then all three went into water and made water glow same orange as spheres were right around them.
They then disappeared. No sound at all.

First we saw a orange/gold light and then almost like a string of lights they appeared from left to right. In a course of about 1/2 hour we saw this happen a few times. The lights appeared randomly sometimes just 1 and sometimes all 6.
The spacing between the lights changed. First time we observed were close and next they were farther apart. We did not hear any sounds with the lights.

Orange and yellow elongated fireball looking object. While looking east at the ocean a bright orange and yellow elongated shape appeared over the water. It traveled slowly in a straight line north.
It became smaller and circle shaped but still had a yellow and orange glow like a fire ball. It got smaller until it disappeared. There was no sound and it was above the horizon.
It did not disappear into the water. From when I first saw it to when it disappeared, was maybe half a mile.

Orange lights over Kure Beach, NC. At approximately 21:10 on June 12th, 2016, I noticed a strange object in the sky at Kure Beach, NC, over the ocean about one mile south of the pier. The object appeared to be heading up the beach, slightly offshore, traveling north.
At first I believed it to be a helicopter, as military flights are common in this area, but unlike any aircraft I have ever seen (military or otherwise) it had no red or green navigation lights. The only lights I could see were several bright orange ones (approximately four, but it was difficult to tell exactly as they were very close together) which were pulsing, going dim and then becoming bright again, unlike typical aircraft lights which flash rapidly. I observed the object traveling towards me for over a minute, after which it began an eastward turn out over the ocean, which is also very uncharacteristic of aircraft (both military and civilian) in the area as they always travel right along the beach, never turning out over the water like that.
At that point I could see that the orange lights were arranged in somewhat of a diamond pattern with one light out front, one light to the rear, and two lights in between those two with one being slightly higher and one slightly lower. When the object had completed its turn and began to head out over the water, the lights quickly began to fade and the object had vanished entirely a matter of seconds after making its turn. The object appeared to be much too low to have disappeared into the clouds, which were very high and sparse and would not have hidden the object from sight for more than a few seconds anyway.
Throughout the entire sighting, I never heard a sound from the object which appeared to be close enough that at least a faint sound should have been audible.

Orange lights over ocean. After dusk, when the sky was darker, but not totally black, we saw an orange light (single) come on and fade out gradually over a duration of a few seconds. Then about 45 seconds later, a second light came on towards the south of the original (same pattern/duration).
Then it started about 5 minutes later even further south. Again, seeing two (but this time one of them had a double vertical light). 15 minutes later they were spotted north (double the area they were at previously).
Only this time there were three of them. One was a single light, one was a double light and the last had three horizontal lights (like square window shapes - while the double was verticle circles). Then a few minutes later, they showed back up around the same area, but the three lighted one was much closer to us.
They were way out over the ocean, had no streak marks like a flare or firework would. We thought they could be military craft, but they didn't "fly" right.

Small fireball seen for a few seconds off coast. Same sort of event I saw two days earlier except this was much shorter. A small orange fireball appeared off the coast, zig zagged for a split second and then shot upwards.
The whole event took just a few seconds. ((NUFORC Note: Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information. PD)).

Orange glow disappears over kure beach, nc after 10-15 seconds. Was sitting with my father in law on vacation when we saw an orange glow rise up over land and move out over the ocean. I figured it was a plane but planes usually have flashing lights on the wings.
There were no flashing lights. We watched it for a few more seconds and the orange glow started to get dimmer as it moved away. It disappeared after about 10-15 seconds.
Don't know if it was some sort of rocket or what but it definitely wasn't a plane.

Round dull-orange lights, stationary in the sky, over Kure Beach, NC, coastline night sky We were in an oceanfront home overlooking Kure Beach N.C. ocean at about 10:00 p.
m. 7 of us were sitting on the porch overlooking the dark ocean. The moonlight wasn't seen in the sky that night and there had been some heat lightening on and off prior to the sighting, but no rain.
All of a sudden, there were two large round dull-orange lights in the sky. As if someone had turned on a flashlight, they just appeared, like that. They were side by side and large, hanging in the sky, perfectly still/stationary.
They were not blinking, there were no other colors, there was no shape - just a round orb of dull-orange light. They were shocking to see, they were absolutely too high to be from any ship out there and they were not any "flares" or any such thing. They hung there, side by side - they looked like 2 moons, side by side.
They "turned on" suddenly, hung there perfectly still for about 10-15 seconds, and then, as if someone simply turned out a flashlight, they disappeared. There were no shapes or any other lights whatsoever around these 2 dull-orange balls of light. Then, after about about 10 minutes or so, a set of three of the same exact lights, not moving, simply appeared (again - as if someone behind the dark sky turned o! n a flashlight) - and they sat there - stationery, not glittering, just sitting there as if three moons, side by side were in the sky, then turned off - again, they lasted only about 15 seconds or so, then turned off.
Then, after another 15 minutes or so passed, a set of two appeared again. All three times these sets of lights (2, then 3, then 2) appeared in separate parts of the area we viewed - if they "moved" there and turned on, we coudln't see them move whatsoever - they simply "turned on" then "turned out". We sat and waited for several hours later - and didn't return - we then went to bed.
I've seen other reports in Kure Beach (some couple saying they saw lights that resembled what I was talking about on 7/23) - but they were talking about movement and different shapes - that is not what we saw. They were dull-orange orbs that appeared, and disappeared, 3 times within the space of 25-30 minutes time. They did not "sparkle", or blink or anything else.
I asked a man fishing in the surf that night if he saw them (after the last set disappeared) and he said that yes, he'd seen them, had no idea what they were, that "it's just weird". He then told me that he and another person witnessed them 2 weeks prior, in the same spot over the ocean. He did not elaborate on what time that was (2 weeks prior) or how many sets, etc.
- he didn't seem to want to talk about it. All of our family on the porch have been going to Kure Beach to vacation for 30 years - never, ever have we ever witnessed anything like this over the night ocean sky - and it was no ship nor any ship signal, it was not a "craft" that we could say, it was simply lights like described, and they didn't "move." The other reports I read over the island (Pleasure Island) over the past several years don't exactly describe them as we saw them.
We are in awe - and are looking for some sort of logical explanation other than "military" or "alien craft." We are logical people and feel there must be a natural phenomenom due to a storm or something else - but what we witnessed, as we did, could clearly, if there were alien craft - be exactly that - much to our discomfort.

Group of UFO lights over horizon at Kure Beach, NC On July 23, 2010, Friday night, my husband and I were sitting at Kure Beach, NC, and enjoying the sound of the waves and soft breeze. I looked over the horizon and noticed a light. We always carry our binoculars with us every time we go to the beach on Friday nights.
I picked up mine to get a closer look, and lo and behold, there was a group of lights hovering over the ocean. At first we thought it was probably a cargo ship, but the lights were way too high for a ship. There were a group of 5 lights; one red, three yellowish and one yellowish-white.
All of a sudden the lights began to change shape, from triangle to rectangle and then back to triangle again. The yellowish-white light was below the others and moving back and forth over the water. None were blinking, just hovering and forming triangle and rectangle shapes.
After a while it drifted north and the lights began to dim and it slowly disappeared. It lasted for about 20 minutes. My husband and I h! ave seen several UFOs last year at the same beach, but this was the first one we’ve witnessed this year.

Bright Orange lights over Kure Beach North Carolina I saw an orange light appear over the ocean straight out of our three story condo aimed straight at us. The distance could have been between 20 miles to 100 miles away with the distance above the ocean from 1/2 mile to 2.5 miles above.
It was extremely bright with the reflection on the ocean right up to our beach 100 feet away. It was not moving and there was no noise. A second light exactly the same appeared right next to it and both faded away after 10 seconds.
I yelled to my wife to come and see this but by the time she came they were gone. So I grabbed my camera and went back on the deck and flashed it in the same direction. Within two seconds one of the lights turned back on in the exact same spot aimed right at us and my wife got a good look at it.
I then took a picture of it while it was fading away and got a good photo of it. WOW!! when the photo was pulled up their were three orbs in a triangle with the middle being the only one I could see. When it was all gone I took a couple more photos trying to provoke them but no response.
I have never seen anything that weird before and wish I had video instead of a picture. Thanks!!.

2 groupings of 3 and 4 bright orange round lights over the ocean horizon off the shore at Kure Beach, NC. My husband and six-year old daughter and I were walking south along the shoreline at Kure Beach, NC (from the pier) and noticed 4 bright orange spheres in a straight horizontal line in the sky out over the ocean.all in a perfectly straight line.
North (NYC north, not stratosphere north) of the 4 spheres were three of the exact same objects also in a perfectly straight line, so that all 7 objects were in a straight line moving at the same speed. The objects appeared for about 15 seconds in the sky, moving towards the shore, then they all disappeared at the same time. Less than a minute later we saw the same objects appear over the ocean again.
These lights were in the sky, not in the ocean (i.e., not a ship).
The lights appeared about 5 minutes after my daughter saw a "meteor" over the ocean. I saw the same "meteor" enter the atmosphere. It was not a meteor.
It was unlike anything I have ever seen. shooting stars, planes, military or otherwise. It was too big and too close.
It was something that swooped down into our atmosphere. I didn’t think much about it until I saw the perfectly round orange bright lights a couple of minutes later. These were not airplane lights.
they didn’t twinkle. They were simply bright orange illuminated orbs that moved toward the shore in a supersonic glide. Fishermen and beachcombers along the shore also saw the same incident.
We asked them, because my husband and I were so incredulous about what we had seen. Everyone we talked to about the incident reported the same sighting.bright orange lights in a straight line, 4 and 3 in two groups.
The night sky visibility was excellent.full moon and clear skies. Our background: My husband has five degrees: MBA, masters, PhD, and others.
He is from Minnesota. I am a writer with a B.A.
in English from Virginia. We have been married for 10 years and have one six-year-old daughter (who witnessed this with us). We have never experienced something like this.
and are somewhat embarrassed to be reporting it now! But we cannot deny what we and so many others witnessed. ((NUFORC Note: Witness elects to remain anonymous; provides no contact information. However, we believe that she is the party who telephone our UFO Hotline.

Triangular Shape with a Reflection of the Stars behind it (cloaked or something) I was sitting on my porch a block from the beach star gazing while smoking nad suddenly an image appeared. No sound. About the size of a hang glider.
It appeared as if it was trying to reflect the stars of the sky in the background. I thought it was a really close pelican or something before I realized it was not and was further up, but not really high. It just kind of emerged down from the sky about the distance of a really low flying helicopter (maybe 100 - 150 feet in the air.
) It went a short distance (about 5 - 10 feet of view in the sky) then vanished as it drew closer to the street lights. I stood up to see, but it vanished. It appeared triangular in shape with some dim lights on each corner.
It appeared to being trying to cloak itself with a reflection of the stars behind. Which was warped slightly. Could see the warped view of the behind view around the edges.
Glided silently. ((NUFORC Note: Witness indicates that the date of the incident is approximate. PD)).

Strange Orange Lights seen off Carolina and Kure Beaches, North Carolina My wife and some friends were vacationing at a beachfront home in Kure Beach, NC. One night a friend and I were sitting on the front deck, enjoying the cool breeze and our view of the ocean. The sky was fairly clear, with numerous stars and a few thin clouds.
Several airplanes (both jet and prop) were visible as we talked. Suddenly we both saw a bright orange ball of light to our left, towards the fishing pier at Carolina Beach. The object appeared to be a considerable distance away, at least several miles off the coast.
The object moved in a straight line and was extremely bright. It abruptly lost its brilliance and became a tiny point of light (which was still visible), and then several seconds later it regained its former brilliance before completely fading from sight. As my friend and I discussed what the object could have been, a few minutes later we saw a remarkably similar object (perhaps the same?) to our right - this time it was a little closer, and it behaved in the same manner as the first object.
Finally, about five minutes or so later, we again saw a similar object - this time it was almost directly in front of us, higher above the horizon, and it was much closer - I would guess it was a mile or less off of the beach. It appeared to be simply a large, brilliantly lit orange ball of light. The object was in view for only a few seconds before it vanished.
We did not see the object(s) at any other time that night. My friend and I considered our options - the objects couldn't have been lights from a ship as they were too far above the horizon. They could not have been fireworks or flares, as we saw nothing go up and the objects moved on a steady flight path - they didn't arc or go down.
I have never seen a shooting star behave in such a manner. The objects might have been lights from one or more airplanes, except for the fact that the objects bore no resemblance to the numerous airplanes that we did see at night throughout our trip, and not one of the objects made any sound what! soever. I have considered the possibility that the objects were satellites reflecting the sun, except that we saw three lights in fairly rapid succession (fifteen minutes or less) in different parts of the sky.
In short, my friend and I were both stumped, and I admit that on other nights we looked for similar lights, but with no luck. I seriously doubt that we saw something from "outer space", but whatever these "objects" were remains a mystery to us.

Craft approached as a star in the night sky - zig zaged extemely fast side to side. Hovered over ocean, motionless suspended for approx.1 min.
Low humming - like a transformer then propulsion sound like a jet - moved slowly north towards Wrightsville Beach - I was close and saw details - definetly not of this world; reported to Air Natl Guard - they laughed at me. (I would have laughed too, but I'm not laughing now) My business had been hurt by hurricane Fran so I was forced to take a second job at night watching condos on the beach. The island was basically deserted and I would spend all night just sitting watching the stars and listening to the radio.
I was listening to the Peach Bowl and looked up and noticed a star that looked weird - different. All of the sudden it began to move violently from side to side and the next thing I know it was about 1/4 mile from the shoreline and about 300 feet in the air. It looked like a boomerang but it also had hight - somewhat like a cone but not symetrical both ways.
I got out of the truck and went down to the water ( I honestly thought that I had to be hallucinating ). It hovered there and there was an electical sound; like when you turn on the toy train but not enough to make the train move. I swear this thing didn't move in any direction for about 1 minute.
Then there was a sound like a jet - but not a roar like a jet - more like when the blower goes on from the heater in the house. It moved slowly northward maintaining its distance from the coast. It wasn't in a hurry and obviously didn't seem to mind if anyone saw it.
The island was mostly evacuated due to the hurricanes aftermath. All I can think of is that it was surveying hurricane damage?? There is an Air Natl Guard base directly accross the street from where this happened. I was so shook up by this that I drove there the next day and reported the incident to the commanding officer.
He told me he believed me, but I think he was just humoring me. Anyway - I saw what I saw and I will never doubt again other accounts of sightings. What I saw is absolutely not possible with our technology - either we have some unbelievable technology that we don't know about or I saw something from another world.
By the way . it was concave on the back.
