Looking at the geminids and witnessed a formation Stargazing while the geminids were going on and saw a formation of lights; a triangle and a line flying in parallel from the north to the south tracked across the horizon it crossed in a matter of seconds, and had a feeling that it might've been bending light around it as if it was a single craft.

This craft was slow moving. However, it was able to complete vertical inclines at an instant and accelerate to unprecedented speed. This was taken from a balcony on the beach front at Kill Devil Hills North Carolina.
This craft was slow moving but was able to vertically clime at 90 degrees at speeds that were unimaginable, almost as if it teleported. The object glowed a pale green and emitted no noise. At one point near the end of the sighting an unidentified black helicopter approached from over the water and began following the light.
It then proceeded to vertically climb and disappeared. The helicopter proceeded to pull back and leave the area upon it climbing. Animals nearby also were on edge and or barking during this event.

Bright, orange, triangle shaped crafts flying in formation over Kill Devil Hills, NC. My daughter and I saw five ufos in a formation. They were shaped like a triangle but not a full triangle.
They were dark orange and just seemed to vanish in the same place one after the other.

At approximately 11:20pm edt on 10-15-18 in the night sky above Kill Devil Hills, NC, facing SE direction, I observed a faint white-yellowish streak traveling towards the east. At first I thought it was a falling/shooting star, but instead of fading after a second or two, it became a bright white color, increased in size and shot off to the east horizontally. When the object got larger and brighter right before it shot off it almost looked like it was oval in size and it gave off a colorful refraction of light (like sunlight bouncing off a crystal) with the bright white flare.
There was no noise heard during the sighting of the anomaly and it only lasted 3-5 seconds.

Bright orange, round light First, only saw 1 bright orange round light, so bright I saw it through blinds. I got up and looked at it. A second bright orange light came towards the first.
The first one went straight up in sky, very fast until it was unseen. The second went towards the west.

Stationary red/white lights over Kill Devil Hills. Sitting outside on our deck, looking at the stars, noticed what we thought was a star, but it had a red light in addition to the white and did not appear to be moving. Thought perhaps it was a helicopter hoovering but seemed too high in the sky.
After observing it for at least 30 minutes, the star/aircraft never moved. Began looking around the skyline and noticed at least 5 other stationary objects with the same red/white lights and they were also not moving. Took out the binoculars and it was clear these were not stars, but stationary objects with the red and white lights.
Will continue observing but for now these objects have not moved for over an hour.

Saw 4 reddish lights moving north along the Atlantic coast in Kill Devil Hills, NC While driving south along the beach road (milepost 6.5), I observed (at first) 2 bright reddish lights in the sky moving slowly north. I pulled over and stopped the car and got out to have a closer look.
I would estimate that the lights were just off shore (@ 1/4 mile away). I then noticed 2 more identical lights also moving slowly north. The first set of lights were low in the sky (one light was above and to the left of the second light) and they moved very slowly to the north and made no noise at all.
The first set of lights passed by me and the first light appeared to make a right turn and went out to sea and disappeared. The second light followed the first light a few seconds later and also disappeared out to sea. I then focused on the second set of identical lights that appeared to be @ 1/4 mile behind the first set.
They were in the very same formation and followed the first set out to sea. In total, I would estimate the event lasted @ 5 minutes. ((NUFORC Note: Witness provides no contact information.

Multiple sightings over the past few weeks on the OBX This was a bright white light that started out near the moon. Within a 20 min period it dropped much more then normal and the other stars in the area. it then became much closer and using a tree line to distort its shape.
I eventually saw a half circle with lights running back and forth from 9 o'clock to 3 o'clock. It seemed to back away when I tried to video tape it with my phone. I have had similar encounters (3) since Christmas 2013.

Orange orb the color of fire lights up, expands in size, then shrinks back to nothingness and disappears, like an explosion in space. Around 5:40am local time +/-5 minutes, while looking up at the stars before getting into my car to go to work, I saw something a stationary object that looked like a star increase its intensity with an orange glow the color of fire that expanded in size for a few seconds as it got brighter until the star sized object became larger than any planet in the night sky. (Approx 4x the size of Venus on the horizon, but this was almost directly overhead at about 75deg off the horizon towards the NE.
Then it faded back down in size and intensity and disappeared. It didn't move from it's spot in the sky. Just got big and orange and then disappeared.
My immediate thought was that it was a stationary explosion in space, like a satellite exploded or something. I didn't think UFO until later when I heard other people talking about the orange orbs.

Large wedge shaped UFO I am a 43 year old man, Professional Land Surveyor, and I have a 9 year old son who was with me during the incident. Also, with me was a 45 year old male friend who is a construction worker. We live on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, next to where the Wright Brothers first flew.
We all basically agree with the following account. All three of us were getting on our bicycles to ride to a cook out a few blocks away in our neighborhood. It was 6pm November 30th, 2012 Friday night.
It had been dark for about 45 minutes. We rode down the street a few hundred feet, heading basically north, when some red lights caught my eye through the live oak trees. Seconds later, an aircraft emerged from behind the tree line.
It was a black or charcoal gray craft. Estimated 200 feet long tip of the triangle to its base, 100 ft wide at its base and 15ft tall. Flying virtually silently about 300 ft off of the ground and traveling in a seemingly straight line about 15-25 mph.
It flew very slow and quiet for a craft of this size. I have seen Stealth Bombers and Stealth fighters, it was at least as big as the bomber, probably bigger, but not shaped the same and much more quiet. There were rows of red lights lining the bottom of the craft on either side from the tip to the base, but not along the base of the traingle shape.
No lights went on and off like FAA planes. All lights were red, some pulsated seemingly randomly but stayed relatively dim compared to the lights on the points of the triangle and never went out or "blinked." The lights at the points of the triangle seemed to be the brightest lights.
The craft flew almost directly over our heads, just west of us, so we had to crane our necks to look up at it because was so close. We watched it "slide" slowly past us and continue in its northerly direction until we lost sight of the lights behind the trees and houses north of us. As it passed our position, a low humming rumble noise could be heard, but it was by no means loud like a jet or propeller.
It was not a blimp. We would have been able to see the blimp above the craft because it was so low. Also the blimp would have had to been li! ke 1000 feet long to lift the structure we saw.
I am not convinced this is not some semi-secret military operation, as we have Oceana Naval Air Station near us to the north. However, they are obviously not concerned about people seeing the craft flying the way it flew over the fairly densely populated area here on that night last week. This is a true account, it happened.
What we saw is real, whatever it is. I am not a UFO enthusiast, I am a hard facts guy. We saw what we saw, and whatever it was is a reality.

Four fireballs moving across the night sky. My family and I were on vacation last week in the Outer Banks, NC. Specifically Kill Devil Hills, NC.
On Friday July 29th 2012 at about 3am we were outside in the area pool when I looked up and saw 2 round bright lights, which it looked liked initially, headed in our direction. My first thought was it looked like a commercial airliner coming towards us. I was surprised on how close this object was in the night sky.
After watching for a few moments it was clear they were 2 round balls of orange fire. They stayed parallel to each other as they moved across the sky moving from north to south. They weren't streaking in the sky and there was no apparent tail behind them.
We watched for about 20-25 seconds and as they moved above us, they then faded away at the same time. About 10 seconds later, another single round ball of orange fire followed about the same path, about another 20-25 seconds and faded away in the same area. Again, about 10-15 seconds later, a larger ball of fire, this time more reddish in color followed and faded away in the same area in the sky.
During the entire event, no sound was emitted. All four of us witnessed this event and cannot come to a conclusion to what it was. I've scoured the internet and haven't been able to find a sighting reported in the area.
I wish I had my phone with me as I'm sure I could of recorded very clear images or video, but unfortunately I did not. Any information you can provide me with would be greatly appreciated.

Sets of parallel orange lights appearing and disappearing over ocean While walking back to our beach house from a night of ghost crabbing I looked into the sky and saw a set of round orange lights floating in the air parallel to each other. Naturally my first thought was “that’s neat they are now using orange for the headlights of airplanes”; this was cool enough to alert my friend. When the lights disappeared I believed the “airplane” to have passed behind some low clouds.
Momentarily the lights came back on, now both of us being witness to the event; we were awe struck by the new orange plane lights. Suddenly three more sets of lights each identical to the first and parallel to the ocean, separated from the first set. Now there are four sets of two lights each, each pair moving independently from the rest.
The sets of lights are identical to each other. Suddenly all four sets of lights disappeared at the exact same time leaving the night sky as pitch black as it was previously. Upon our return to the house to file this report and tell our friends about the siting we experienced some issues with our technological devices.
One of our phones went from a full battery to less than 25% and refused to charge in outlets that were working earlier today. The other phone was also at full battery until I turned on the laptop at which point it went down to half and then back up to full.

saw two in sync circle formations cicleing around each other,v line formation, single and multiple orange glowing crafts.slow with pace we were lighting fire works at our beach house and my kids were playing with glow sticks when we looked up and saw eight glowing orange orbs in two circles of four over lapping and spinning around eachother within eachother. they continued spinng at cloud level.
the objects then they spread out and dissapeared.after that several single crafts began flying past at a very low speed then would shoot off.about ten minutes after the first circleing formation from the same direction a line of about fourteen crafts came out of now where in a v formation.
as soon as those crats got off to about the same distance they dispersed and we could no longer see them.within this whole hour of activity we witnessed many of the crafts just zig zagiing around the skies and continue to dissapear at the same location of the others.occasionally two would fly side by side and somewhat zig zag in sync with each other.
the last crafts we saw were three flying together in a triangle and ! dissapeared at the same location they seemed to appear from.there is no logical explination i could think of for what me and the four others i was with saw.

At least 5 orange crafts following each other with 2-3 minutes of separation At approxamately 21:27 I was on the deck of my apartment facing south when I observed a glowing orange object in the sky. The object appeared to be at a distance of 30-50 miles to the south. The object roze to a height of approx.
5,000-10,000 feet and then appeared to fly south at a very high rate of speed. Light emmited from the craft dimmed gradually and was gone within 5 seconds. This pattern was repeated at least 4 more times with about 2-3 minutes of separation between crafts.
I am 30 years of age and have lived on the Outer Banks for the same amout of time I have witnessed the flights of many military craft being that I live in close proximity to Norfolk, VA. My father is a retiree who worked in civil-service for more than 30 years and was in the Army for 4 years. My mother has worked in the fashion industry for 25 years My neighbor is approx.
70 years old.

Dark Orb Moves Erratically over the Beach -- Outer Banks, NC I went outside (alone) on my screened-in front porch to sneak a cigarette (I’ve been trying to drop the habit). I was facing south looking towards the side of the K-Mart store a few houses down at the end of my street wishing to myself that there were not so many lights on that street when, off in the distance, I (barely) noticed this orb-like object. My first idea was that it was a planet, though that did not make rational sense because it appeared much closer than a planet would to the naked eye.
Suddenly, this object moved sideways to the right, then the left, then upwards a bit and again erratically sideways, sometimes hovering for a second or two but then always resuming its path in moving up. By this point, my heart began racing because I realized that what I was seeing did not make any sense. I stood there and watched the object as it continued this erratic pattern across the sky until my view was obscured by the roof over my porch.
I ran outside to the other side of the house so that I was facing east and again found the object continuing its path. Some people on the beach (I live 2 blocks from the beach) set off some fireworks (the low-grade kind that can be bought at any store around here). The fireworks shot into the sky a distance roughly equal to 4 or 5 two-story houses.
The orb, by this point, had moved north/northeast past the fireworks and--even with the extra light in the sky, the object did not appear to reflect the light. For a moment after the fireworks, the object seemed to move a little fast and within seconds of that it disappeared into the clouds. I stood there in awe for a few seconds waiting for any possible reappearance, but nothing.
Immediately afterwards, I called my family to share what I had just seen. I am still unable to make rational sense of this. The object made no sound and moved steadily as if on a path, but erratically.
Additionally, the object did not seem to give off any colors as an airplane or helicopter would. The object was perfectly round, which is why I describe it as an orb. Because it was night, it was hard to tell if the object itself was colored, the only way I can describe it is that it seemed to blend in with the night sky.
The only reason I noticed the shape is because it had a faint, but distinct outline which seemed to give off a soft glow. By glow, I do not mean that the object itself was glowing. I mean the only glow was in the outline.
Beyond that, the only other description I can offer is that the object appeared to have been a dark or matte metallic.
