I saw a white object with a black side in the air in the morning that dissapeared. It was a some what warm morning.no clouds, clear skies, calm wind.
I was in a bus that was taking a turn around a bend. I was able to notice that there was a bright object in the sky it seemed to be making its own light, as all of the object was lighted evenly. It was a sphere which had a slight black curve on the side.
It also seemed to have a small thing sticking out of it like an antenna. The object was about 3,000ft above the ground and 1 mile away. After about 2 seconds.
The object then dissolved into the sky.It seemed to turn invisible. Like it knew I was watching it.

Bright White Sphere at I-270 and 23 on the south end travelling at an incredible rate of speed. I was on the on-ramp to I-270 east from I-23 on the south end of Columbus, as I was rounding the on-ramp, I looked off to the west and saw a bright white spherical object traveling at about a 45 degree angle into the night sky, this object made no noise, it was moving faster than anything I had ever seen, it left a light trail behind itself a short distance that seemed to have an almost animated glow. suddenly the object accelerated and shot out of sight like a bullet.

bright white orb moves slowly, dims, and vanishes followed by all night power outage I looked up saw a very bright white ball of light-too large to be a plane, but not much bigger. and no strobes or red lights. it was moving across for one or two seconds, then and apeared to dim/fade out smaller an smaller until it disapeared.
when the orb was getting smaller, a reddish twinkle apeared until it vanished. no cloud cover nearby. five minutes after the sighting the electricity went out at my appartment complex, it wa not restored intill noon the next day.

Object of solid blue light moves quietly over our house and travelled away from us, then quickly fading into nothing. I walked outside and looked up and directly above our area was a light, the size of a dime. It was one solid blue light, and made no sound.
It travelled East South East , following 33. I asked the wife to come out quickly and she saw it as well. There was no blinking at all and it moved slowly away and then faded rapidly before it left our line of sight.
It was definitely within the atmosphere, below the cloud cover and it was no airplane.

White and Yellow shiny starlike object moving irrationally and gracefully My friend and I (3:39 am) had the windows in my apartment open and saw a asterisk esque shining light hovering around closely and far away. We watched it for 5 or 6 minutes to see if it was making the path to the airport east of here. We were unnerved to see that it was tilting back and forth, in a seesaw sort of motion across the sky.
The colors would slowly shift, some colors hard to see, but some colors were white and yellow. When it had no lights on, the body indicated a very soft-edged cone shape with irrationally placed red lights. Its path circled in a diameter around the general downtown area.
It was disturbing because it looked so defiantly different than the typical police helicopters, care flights, and airplanes. That had a lot to do with its non-linear path, and slow, but very graceful speed. I've never seen something like this before and wanted some insight on similar sightings, I didn't know if maybe extremely distant helicopters can give this impression, but then I doubt that.
I doubt it because the light was very profile, it never moved in a three dimensional fashion, just sort of gave the illusion of moving two dimensionally. The irrational red and white blinking lights moved about this dark cone like object irrationally. It's also important to note that it was very large and resembled a huge shining star.
One more thing to note is that you could not hear it like an airplane or helicopter. Two witnesses: Male.

Silent round black object moving opposite the wind direction - Columbus, OH My observation was made at 3:50 PM, 1-31-2008 I was outside my workplace taking a break, when I saw what I thought was a large black balloon drifting overhead. The object was traveling directly overhead at a slow speed ( There was no sound, and no lights. I thought this was odd, because my location is approximately 3 miles due west of Port Columbus (Ohio) International Airport, in-line with the runways.
Planes are regularly approaching or taking off directly overhead, all day, everyday. Today they have been on the approach path. Adding to my concern was the realization that the wind was blowing the opposite direction that the object was moving.
