Vancouver, Washington UFO Sightings in 2015

Red and Green lights zig-zag in East Vancouver on Oct. 23, 2015 8:02 PM OCTOBER 23, 2015, Vancouver, Washington I had just come home from an errand, and was standing at the end of my driveway. I happened to look up at the moon, which was just above the roof of my house to the south.

It was about ¾ full, with a few wisps of clouds around it. It was developing a ring around its perimeter. Just to the left of the moon, I noticed two lights - one green and one red - hovering high in the sky, about 10 degrees east of due south.

They were very bright and steady. They almost looked like Christmas lights, but were too high in the sky to be that. I initially thought they were from the jets landing at the Portland International Airport, because they were in that general direction, a little east from the airport.

But the lights weren’t moving. They just hovered there for maybe a minute or so. They slowly started moving west, then suddenly, the lights zig-zagged right, then left very rapidly 2 or 3 times.

The object then turned and started coming toward me at a slower pace than it was when it was zig-zagging. It seemed as if the object blinked and rotated at the same time, and the lights turned from red and green to white. I couldn’t be sure, but I had the impression it was disc-shaped.

Suddenly, the light went straight down toward the ground, leaving a long, solid streak of yellowish-white light behind. I lost sight of it as it disappeared behind the house. I went out back, but could see nothing.

I did not hear any sounds during this incident. I watched for awhile, and saw several planes coming in and out of the airport. They moved in a steady line toward and away from the airport, not in the crazy zig-zag way of the object.

I walked down the block where there was a less obstructed view of the southern sky, but could see nothing. After coming in and looking up UFO sightings online, I found several stories from “The Columbian” newspaper in Vancouver. It described sightings nights on Feb.

20 and 21 2011 when several residents in the Clear Meadows neighborhood of East Vancouver saw something very similar to what I saw. There was some speculation that what they saw was a Chinese kite decked out with LED lights that was flown by a man named Mike.

I saw a bright white ball of light fly low and slow across the sky. All the dogs including my own dog were barking. As the light moved out of view we saw a bright flash in the far sky.

Flashing red light moving fast and erratic. On September 27th at 8:00 pm my daughter was on our back deck looking west when she noticed a red ball of light moving in different directions and she yelled at me to come and see what she was watching. When I went out, I witnessed a red flashing ball of light move upward in the sky rather quickly and then stop and stay in place briefly.

It then moved back down and moved to the right at a fast speed and again stopping for a moment. It then moved to the left but this time moving slower and the flashing red light then pulsated quicker about 6 times. Also during this time a plane was flying towards it moving opposite direction than it was and at a  different altitude passing  each other.

Then, once again it paused and then moved right again moving quickly and then moving out of my site behind trees and not seen after that. This was witnessed for about 5 minutes. This was not a plane.

First, the object had a white light on one end, and a red on the other. I say end, as assuming it was long because the lights (white and red) could be seen separated a space of about 4 to 5 747 lengths apart. I know it was one craft.

Long or round football shape, I don't know first flew s by se over e Vancouver in a southerly direction. I followed it on foot it disappeared by about 5 minutes later it came back about 4 to 5 miles west of its disappearence. Flying n to nw at an northerly direction.

I video on my android the same craft it moved strangely jumpy like in motion the disappeared. I don't know how to send it but I know how to Facebook it at my fb page ((name deleted)) on Facebook if that will help with sound to OK. I just wanna know what it was it flew low, about 900 feet lower than the commercial planes do when they take off or land.

Red and green lights flashing, while hovering and moving, then stopping. We were watching fireworks and I noticed high in the sky bright green lights flashing in a row then bright red lights flashing in a row. The craft was just hovering for quite some time, then it moved and then just stopped and hovered again.

We seen a plane and a helicopter flying in a different direction which we were able to clearly make out, but we could not make out the shape of the craft because of the lights. It hovered and moved a couple of times and it looked strange the way it could just stop and make no movement instantly. After a while it just seemed to drop then take off.

No sound was heard from the craft.

took awhile for me to grab my camera as I was thinking “No Way”. fairly slow lumbering flight path east to west then finally west to east and I look away for just a bit then it was not in sight. (went above clouds I presume) at one point when I noted the Very distant V shape (as in that typed letter) it did a slow rotation or 2 while hovering in one spot.

Color: good question I saw it as black and or possibly orange/white – perhaps due to sun reflections on it?? Other witness when she finally came out side said black. it did a 2nd hovering after I believe it was when it went from west to east. when I first saw it I thought it was an airplane in the distance.

then possibly drone, or hang glider or something. that broke free and was floating around. but it went against the cloud direction when it went east to west.

and it was too far away and too high up to start with from initial sighting to farthest west sighting to be a Civilian RC or drone. its Sharp V shape would not be of Any benefit to the slow speed and hovering it did. there may be little more I can say or not I did not grab my camera when it was in the position of best view.

then I put the first battery in it and it did not work. (rechargeable and stored charged even) Ignore the pictures timestamp I don’t keep batteries in my camera and seldom use it. time taken I can calculate it if needed but just hoping others reported the same thing.

or an explanation - Please fill me in. the picture does not look at all like what I saw. I saw no lights or anything.

when it hovered and rotated. I simply saw a “V” just about like that one. cannon eos 40D 28-135 AF IS.

if needed please use my email to contact me especially if there is an explanation or others that reported it. this is not a crack letter though I do expect there must be an explanation as I would liked to have seen something of this nature. ( to Know ) and I am outside often looking up.

Completely motionless and silent metallic cylinder at about 200-300 feet . mid-morning , clear skies , calm wind . My friend and I were flying our RC airplanes, mid-morning, calm wind, clear skies.

We were both flying relaxing slow flying planes while sitting in lawn chairs. We noticed an object directly overhead at an estimated altitude of about 200-300 feet. It was cylindrical, roughly the proportions of a soda pop can, the surface appeared to be solid and metallic (shimmering in the sunlight), and had no visible protrusions or markings.

It was COMPLETELY motionless: no spin, no rotation, no drift . and it made no sound. It remained completely motionless for about 5 minutes, then my friend and I had to land our planes when the batteries in the planes ran out.

After landing our planes , we looked back up to see the object . and it was completely gone . We scanned the sky to see if it had drifted off ( as a balloon would ) , but did not see it anywhere .

Singular light followed by multiple surrounding lights and large shadows/sounds. Focused over Vancouver Lake. There are lights hovering over Vancouver Lake in Vancouver, WA.

Roughly 800 ft in the air. I was thinking to myself when I looked out my window and noticed a large amount of fog. But it was all focused on one major area, I focused as well as I could on that area, and noticed a slowly rising cluster of lights (as if it all belonged to one vessel), flashing around.

I then noticed multiple flashes of light around the singular cluster, as if it were firing upon something. I then started to notice EXTREMELY large shadows in the dense fog around my house, and I am right now, hiding in my house, hearing large noises of unknown origin outside my window.

Three bright lights in formation. Formation of 3 bright orbs seen from SE Portland. My wife, son and I observed what looked like bright aircraft lights over east Portland, in the vicinity of Rocky Butte.

As we watched it, we saw that it was actually three lights, moving in various formations: triangular, horizontal, and almost vertical. They was moving very slowly in the beginning. Two of the lights departed to the east and were lost from view, while one appeared stationary to the west of Rocky Butte for several minutes before flying east as the others had done.

My son recorded the lights on his cell phone camera for several minutes. what we saw is very similar to a Portland sighting reported February 15, 2015.

Triangular red object in sky, going in straight line, then disappeared; 7 witnesses. Outside with the kids playing.saw a bright red triangle object spiraling straight up, putting out trails, going in straight line, trails disappearing as fast as they were made.

then it just vanished,reappeared .then disappeared again for good. No sound emitted, dead silent.

No lights flashing or constant. No clouds in the sky.light out.

very good view. Definitely not an airplane. I have a family member that was a pilot.

no aircraft they ever saw looked like this or moved like this.

Two orange orbs viewed over Portland, OR. At approximately 20:50, myself and one other witnessed an orange orb shoot straight up over Portland, 10' west or Orion on a NW course. Once it was out of site a second one appeared and took the same path.

Each one took approximately a minute or less to go out of view. As the second orb was to go out of view, the second appeared with a red light as if to signal the second and then both were gone. No sonic boom or FAA lights on either craft.

We were viewing NW of the airport and planes were taking off NE of these orbs. ((NUFORC Note: Witness works as a medical professional. PD)).
