One big red glowing orb split into many smaller orbs and shot across the sky at unfathomable speed, then formed a line and disappeared. 9 years ago my dad and I were driving home after dropping off my then-girlfriend. We saw an unusual big red glowing orb in the sky, bigger than the average star.
It caught our attention so we pulled over to look at it and it split into 8-12 different glowing red dots. They moved across the sky erratically for about 30 seconds at unfathomable speeds. After that, they all formed a vertical line in the sky and shot up into the sky disappearing in a flash of light.

At around 8:45 tonight, 25 Dec., 2014, I was standing on my back deck looking at the moon in the western sky, when i saw what i thought were three helicopters moving across the sky towards the south. As they got closer I could not hear any sound I called my wife out an she saw them also.
It was three reddish orange looking balls, then all of the sudden they were gone. I was just wondering if any one else may have seen this also and of course what they might have been.

I was going on break at work, and like normal went to my car, and looked up to my left (east) in the sky at the stars as i like to, but also saw 3 redish dots/balls in the sky at different heights, the left being the lowest, the right being the next highest and the middle being the highest, but they were far enough apart to tell they were not a single aircraft, and the thought crossed my mind that they were too dim and close to all be towers, also ahead of me (south) in the distance i could see the red blinking light of a tower as comparison.as i walked to my car keeping my eyes on them i said to a passing co-worker "what are those lights" "i don't know",she replied uninterested. So i continued to my car(walking slowly the entire time to keep my eyes on the lights) but in the short time it took to look down to step off the curb the one on the left disappeared.
then as i walked and refused to look away again i bumped into another co-worker and pointed them out to her, but she continued inside seemingly uninterested also. So as i look on the one on the right and the center one were climbing "straight" up ,from my view, and the one on the right disappeared and finally the one in the center climbed the highest and disappeared.they didn't flicker or anything, they were very well defined constant lights.
i looked on the way in and after work but didnt see them again sadly.

Odd blinking light in sky moving in odd ways. My family and I had just gotten back home from going out to eat and my son saw Orion’s belt in the sky. He asked if he could break out his telescope and look at the stars since the moon’s not out.
We said sure and went into the back yard to do a little stargazing. We had been outside for about 20 minutes and had seen a few shooting stars and a few planes. We all kind of fixated on this one light though that my wife thought was a plane because you could see it blinking, but I thought was something else (honestly, I thought it was a star) because I was able to lock in on it through the telescope.
I said that if it were a plane, then I wouldn’t be able to hold it in the telescope long enough that we could all take a look at it. We started watching it at about 2012 as it started to do some pretty weird things. First it would blink like crazy (white, red, and blue), then it would just sort of twinkle a little.
Then it started swinging left and right, just sort of rocking back and forth. It also started bouncing up and down in the sky and doing loops (moving in a circle) in front of us. I saw three planes in the sky around this odd light that were able to move along like I had seen most planes do, but this thing was still in more or less the same place it had been at when we first saw it after almost half an hour.
At 2040, we decided that we needed to go in since it was cold and the kids have school in the morning. We ran into my neighbor, who we showed the light in the sky to, and he said, “That’s cool.” And then went to get his wife to show her too.
That’s when I came inside and started talking about maybe calling the local police or something. My wife was outside still, but when she came in she asked if I was serious, told me that she had seen the light go out and come back on again, and then looked up a way to report a U.F.

White then orange orb gained a "tail of light" when chased off by a heli. We were driving home when we saw an orb of light hovering over the north eastern sky that looked like the moon behind the clouds. While this is happening, the radio gets real staticy (older radio so wouldbt put my money on that one).
We looked again after a break in the trees and we see a heli flying to it and the object flew away straight out of the atmosphere leaving a trail like a comet behind it the heli then hovered where we sighted it for over two hours but the strange orb of light never returned. It was an whitish color at first but then as it sped off fleeing the heli, it was a vibrant orange. We thought it was a comet because of the tail on it, but then both agreed it had no tail but a minute ago while it was stationary.
And it had this strange aura to it like the moon has thats why we first thought it was the moon. It was almost like exactly what has been depicted as a "warp drive" with the streatching trail of light. Crazy :) and I wouldnt even say it chased the ufo, the ufo left it in tge dust.
like the heli didnt even gain on it the ufo was just gone!.

bright light object with three clusters of light I have heard people talk about UFO's, and I have never believed until now. I was driving home from work. The road I travel is extremely dark and there is no street lights.
I was the only car driving. 1 car passed me and that was it. I noticed an oval/egg shape object in the sky beside my car.
I rolled the window down thinking maybe it was an airplane. I drove home in silence, so when I did not hear sound, I rode my window down further. The object started getting lower and lower and to my right was water.
I got a real good look at it. I noticed it was three clusters of light. The light was so bright I couldn't see the color of the actual craft.
I became extremely afraid because I knew at this point, it saw me. It then stood still and started to hover my car. At this point, I drove extremely fast to get home because I was the only car on the road.
The water stood still the whole time this object hovered over it before it came over my car. I now know we are not alone on this earth. There are no airplanes with three clusters of light.

My husband and teen sons were driving on I81 towards Bristol, about a 2 miles past the Glade Spring exit, and saw from a distance an what at first we thought was a plane because of the lights. The lights were red and white. The white light was stationary where the red light was blinking.
Getting closer to the object, we could all instantly tell it wasn't an airplane because it was hovering, closer to the ground than a plane would be, not moving just appeared to be floating in the air. Not moving. It was still dark so we were unable to tell the color but could make out its triangular shape as we were passing it.
We continued to watch it hover until we were no longer able to see it. We were perplexed and and haven't a clue of what it was that could be at its size and hovering the way it was. If it wasn't for the hovering we would have never thought anything of it.
It was to large to be a drone. The exact size I can't say,but was larger than a single engine plane. ((ADDENDUM FROM WITNESS)) No, my phone is out of mins it is a prepaid phone.
I am sorry for the confusion. This is my email address. I did receive your email yesterday, I didn't know I was to reply to the email.
I promise that this wasn't a hoax. But understand that you have to take every report with a grain of salt and weave out any misleadings. I again am sorry.

We saw a bright blue and red flash from above the clouds that was silent, and looked like an explosion. I was following behind my fiance in my car, going west on Route 60 through Powhatan. We had just entered the county line.
It was dark and cloudy outside with a good amount of wind and a slight drizzle. We both saw a huge bright blue flash from above the clouds that turned red towards the north part of the sky. It looked like an explosion from behind the clouds.
I turned my music off and listened for a boom or sound and it was silent. This happened 20 minutes ago and there are no thunderstorms or severe weather in the area.

Low, fast moving descending jet-like object without sound and nose tilted up. On Saturday, November 29, 2014, at approximately 11AM (est), while driving NW on Lee Chapel Rd in Burke, VA, I saw what looked like a Learjet flying ahead of me appearing from the right at a very fast speed heading to my left. With tall trees on both sides of the street along my pathway, I had a clear view for about 3 to 5 seconds.
What made this unusual were a couple of things: 1) The object was flying very low and going down in what I would describe as about 10,000 feet when first coming into view from the right and at about 7,500 feet when going out of view to my left. 2) The nose of the object was at about a 170 degree angle up and the tail equally down as it went by, descending. 3) I immediately rolled down my window and did not hear a thing.
I drove slowly half expecting to hear an explosion but heard nothing. As I continued on the road I looked at other drivers to see if anyone else was acting like they saw what I saw. I started to wonder if perhaps it may have been a radio controlled kit, but the field of vision would have made the object out of visible range from any natural place to fly one (residential area, crossing fairly busy road).
I turned on my radio to the local all news station expecting another 9-11 or plane crash ‘happening now’ breaking story but heard nothing. I Googled when I got home to see if anyone else posted about it but found nothing. After thinking about it some more an hour or so later, I decided it was way to obvious that I saw something out of the ordinary and decided to check online for where to report it.
This lead me to the National UFO Reporting website. I am also sending an illustration I am putting together to clearly visualize what I saw.

6 red lights near Lake Jackson. Just reporting that my family and I saw six red lights in the sky flying low and making no noise which we have planes fly over all the time; but it being thanksgiving air traffic was non-existent and so we definitely suspect these lights to be UFOs. The lights did not flash or blink, but were a constant red/orange color.
They also seemed to fly in pairs in a line with the last two side by side. They flew over our street Margarite towards Lake Jackson and furthermore towards Quantico.

Object hovering over homes in Manassas, VA On 24 November 2014, at about 6:40 pm, I was driving southwest on Hastings drive coming from Liberia Avenue. I stopped at the 4 way stop intersection and noticed three red lights hovering over a section of houses. The lights were not evenly spaced but from my view it look like the object was triangular shaped.
The lights were solid, not flashing like an aircraft, and it was too big to be a drone. As I went through the intersection, the object slowly began to move in the direction of Lake Jackson. So I u-turned and tried to follow it but lost it as the light went past the top of the tree line.
My first thought was “what the hell is that?” It was a dark night, because the moon was crescent, but the sky was clear, no clouds. It was dark enough that I could not make out the shape of the object but I could tell that it was bigger than the house it was hovering over.

A fire line in the sky for second time I left the car and start walking to the store, when I decided to look at the sky and I saw this vertical line that looks like fire (red color) falling from the sky. Was like see the tale ((sic. tail)) of a meteorite.
The weird is that this was the second time in less than 5 days that I saw this in the sky, and in a different city. It was next to the new moon of that day, until I went inside the store, and that was still there.

I kept looking at it while I could because of the traffic jam, and after 5 minutes I had to keep driving, but was still there.

Multicolored noiseless objects sitting in the night sky over Pulaski County, Virginia. On 18 November 2014 a little after 11 pm my wife and I observed two objects in the sky several miles apart east of Claytor Lake in Pulaski County. The objects made no sound and sat motionless in the sky for over an hour.
Each object appeared as a tight cluster of multicolored blinking lights - white, red, green, and blue. After watching for an hour and attempting to take photos we drove home. Several months earlier we had watched another of these objects hovering over Northwest Pulaski County, again at night, sitting motionless in the sky and making no sound.
We observed this object for 2 hours before going back in the house. On both occasions the objects were later noted to have departed the area. ((NUFORC Note: Possible stars?? PD)).
