Orange triangular object flying around Lynchburg While driving home from seeing fireworks we noticed two bright lights hovering to our left one of them then vanished. After seeing that I starting looking around to see if there was anything else and to the right I saw a large triangular object that was orange. Since I was driving I was not able to look to closely, but my boyfriend watched it and said it was moving in zig zags almost.
It then went straight up and was gone. When we got home, another man who lives with us said that he was outside with the dog and that he saw the triangular craft as well. He that it flew directly over our house and it was making a humming sound.
He also said that the dog didn't seem to like it at all, he bristled up and growled until the object was gone.

Six bright orange fireballs or orbs of light travelling in a formation wsw away from Timberlake VA. My wife and I had just dropped off my roommate's girlfriend and when we drove up to the stop sign we both witnessed what appeared at first to be a very, very bright constellation in the sky. My first initial thought was, wow a constellation - but this only lasted a millisecond because these were no stars for sure.
There were 5-7 objects, bright, round, with a definite orange/red glow to them. They were obviously very far away from us and I could't guess at their altitude quite honestly. I want to say the best way to think of these would be to imagine seeing the constellation Orion in the sky, but the stars were bright and orange.
Of course it wasn't this exact shape but there were something like two lights, left to right, then below another two, and then on the bottom of the formation at least two more. They were headed west, southwest and we were basically at Timberlake (the lake, not the city) Virginia. I looked at a map and I'd guess the lights would be somewhere close to Smith Mt.
Lake or between that and us. We sat there in the car watching them and I was really flustered and didn't know what to look for. Had this been a regular occurrence I would have paid more attention to the details.
I can say that there was some movement among the individual objects, but very slight. We watched them for at least five minutes. They kind of just faded away one by one and there was a large cloud formation they seemed to get lost behind.
My wife and I drove in the general direction as best as the roads would allow but we never did see them again. Definitely a very intense few minutes and I only wish I could see them again. Oh, the color would be exactly what you would expect from a hot air balloon come to think of it, that fiery red/orange flame color.

I was getting off work at 8pm, still daylight out when I stopped at my first intersection, And to my 11 o'clock and about 400 meters and 30 meters above the treeline was a craft with two big lights in the middle, it looked like HID head lights on a car, and had one red light flashing on each tip of what looked like an airplane's wings, but it was moving way to slow to be a plane. I watched it move very slowly to my 10 o'clock by the time the light that i was stopped at changed green, I had to go through the intersection so I lost sight of the craft. But the whole time I never heared an engine not a sound from it! When I got home, I told my wife what I saw, and at this time still not sure what I saw, she tells me she saw the same craft and could not hear it, that morning on her way to work.
The distance from her sighting and mine was about 30 miles. Both sighting locations appeared to be off main highways about 25-50 meters into the treeline, if we had to pin point it. My location was Lynchburg Va and hers was Hurt Va.

6-10 Orange lights move slowly and silently across the sky, and then suddenly disappear. It started off as just one orangeish red light moving slowly across the sky, and then suddenly several others followed in a perfectly formed line. These lights did not blink or flicker and they were silent, so I know it was not an airplane or anything like that.
As these orange lights moved across the sky, they then just randomly disappeared. Me and my parents saw about maybe somewhere between 6-10 of them move across the sky, and then randomly just disappear without a trace. It was very mysterious.
