Unidentified flying object, red circle with yellow center floating in the sky. My fiance' and I were outside looking at the moon because of how large it was. We were taking pictures because it was a beautiful sight.
In the process we saw an unidentified object floating across the sky. It was a red circle with a yellow center, we were able to capture a photo of this. When we went through all of the pictures we took of the moon we realized that we actually caught the object in other pictures as well.
I am looking to find out what this is.

Bright blue lights hovering over town It was Sunday evening around 7:50 EDT. I was traveling east on Highway 30 from Valparaiso heading toward Plymouth when about a mile out of town I saw a faint blue light with my peripheral vision low over the sky line . As I got closer to town, the blue light became more prevalent.
I have my pilot's license and use to fly so I know that blue lights are not used on planes. It had an odd flight path which seemed to go straight up, straight down then took a horizontal path over and remained stationary. As I got into town, I could see not one but two blue lights.
It was hovering low over the Walmart plaza, maybe less than 500 feet. I was difficult to say the altitude, just that I could the aircraft through the driver's side seat without having to stick my head out the window to see it. I literally drove past it on 30, on my left hand side.
I could not see the shape of the aircraft/UFO, just 2 big, very bright and intense blue lights spaced across from o! ne another. They seemed to be facing downward, shining the lights toward the ground. I rolled down my window to see if I could hear an engine or rotors but it made no noise.
There is an airport nearby, located on the north east side of town, but it was stationary so that ruled out any airplanes. Helicopters can be heard a mile away and this was silent, not to mention the strange blue lights on the UFO. I saw no other lights or markings.
It seemed too big to be some kind of hoax like a model. I could tell it had some size to it and it was bigger than the Cessna's I use to fly. It stayed there for at least a minute or two in duration.
I know I couldn't have been the only one that saw it; it may know attempt to conceal itself. You couldn't miss those bright blue lights! I continued on my way out of town east on 30 until the aircraft become out of sight. I've read similar sighting that was reported just a week prior in Plymouth, as well as other sightings in Fort Wa! yne and Indianapolis.
Multiple sightings by people in differe! nt towns help validate what I saw and makes me wonder what exactly did I see?.

As big as a large house with 2 car garage attached and kinda shaped like that 500 feet over my head. Something I am having a hard time explaining flew right over my head what seemed like no more than 500 feet up at Washington Elementary School at about 1:45am. as big as a large house with 2 car garage attached and kinda shaped like that.
At about 1am I went up to the darkened school yard alone to see if maybe I could catch a few early annual Perseid meteors shooting across from the North sky. I was disappointed to notice the installation of new security lights in my favorite urban astronomy field, which actually do nothing but cause light pollution and burn energy. so I decided to lay in the middle of some playground equipment where the shadows would cover me and give me a much darker if slightly more limited view of the sky.
I was laying with my head to the west and feet to the east so the meteors would appear to my left and fly to the right. It was a slow show, but a pretty clear night. I could barely make out the faint glow of the Milky Way.
I saw about 5 bright Perseids over the course of approximately 45 minutes, when something enormous and low appeared directly in front and above me to the East-southeast. When I say enormous I mean it seemed like a large house with 2 car attached garage was flying over my head. As soon as my eyes flicked to it, It was directly over me.
Although it was dark with no Moon, the craft was darker, like it absorbed light. Its hard to explain the shape. Like 5 or 6 or 7 black square boxes connected oddly, sort of like a 3 box rectangle with 2 other box protrusions on either side 1 front and 1 back, with a large orange circle in the center of each square 2/3rds the square size.
The orange glow did not seem to be lights, but more like very hot orange glowing metal. There were no running lights what so ever. I got the impression it was much larger than I could actually see, and was not supposed to be able to see it, but the orange heat glow lit up just a small portion of the bottom of the craft which is all I really saw.
Although the square and circles were symmetrical, the boxes seemed to be put together in an odd shape. I came home and drew it and painted it but I cant get it to look exactly like what I saw but you can at least get an idea. This craft did not seem aerodynamic in any way, yet it was flying super fast, Lear jet fast, although flying is the wrong word.
More like it moved like a waterbug across the surface of water, or dragonfly like. kinda skiddering diagonally sideways. It passed directly over me and shot off West Northwest.
As it passed I flipped over on my stomach and elbows to get a better view and t disappeared over some trees that fast. The whole event lasted less than 30 seconds. Not a single sound came from it.
The crickets kept on chirping. There was no wind. It was very calm.
An odd thing seemed that maybe it was moving slowly or standing still until my eyes flicked to it, and it shot off straight over me. I do not know if it was watching me or was it just moving over when it saw me an decided to take off? I was kinda hidden by some steel playground equipment. I have seen strange things in the sky before, but nothing even remotely close to this.
I know what satellites look like. I know what the ISS space station looks like. I know what comets and asteroids and meteors look like.
I own a 6" Newtonian reflector telescope. I have been to military air shows before. I know what planes and helicopters and blimps are capable of.
Although I have never seen swamp gas ignite I am pretty sure this was not that either! I saw what I saw. As to who was driving that remains to be seen! I have another sighting posted on here where I saw 3 black V triangles in the same schoolyard, which happened 11 years ago. I would like to add that looking back I think the sightings are connected, and from pictures I have seen I think they are the same type of craft that was over Phoenix Arizona in 1996 the same year, but in my case they were much much higher and therefore smaller.
And there were 3 of them. Just my speculation but it seems to me as if these lights/boxes can move together like an F-16 wings retract and expand for higher speeds, but not for the same reasons. They move from V to more wide mouthed U and boomerang shapes, and now I think they can form any shape, maybe even come apart and move freely and then rejoin at different angles.
Keep looking up!.

3 Silent Black Triangles flying in a One Sided Formation with Dim Lights in the shape of a V on the bottom Laying on the pavement at Washington Elementary School around Midnight stargazing watching for shooting stars in the dark shadow on the east side of the school building when directly center above me at a good height, low cloud height maybe 3 Black Triangles flying in a single sided V formation completely silent flying/floating? straight west to east twards town at a slow yet steady pace, it lasted no more than two minutes until their stealth blackness disapeared them into a distant cloud bank. They also apeared to have 2 rows of dim lights in a V shape on the bottom. If I had not been looking at the exact spot in the sky where they appeared I doubt I would have even seen them but they appeared right over the top of the building! It was amazing my only regret is I was alone with no video equipment! ((NUFORC Note: Witness indicates that the date of the sighting is approximate.

My friend and I were walking to my house when we stopped to look at the moon. We started looking at stars and we saw a little ship come out of a large one and one flew overhead and hovered while we got his mom and brother. My friend and I were walking to my house (he lives down the street) when we stopped to look at the moon.
My friend was at the time around 11 and I was 13. We had been friends since he was in Kindergarten. I was starting my fascination with outer space around that age.
We started looking at stars and naming them, then he spotted one above and to the left of the north star that was somewhat bright (but very far away like a plane would be). This "star" was keeping it's possition in the sky, but what was weird about it was that another star with a much lower magnitude seemed to come out of the larger one and travel about 4 degrees across the sky and stay there for about 5 minutes. After that, it simply went back to where it came from.
I never considered that part of the sighting because it was too far away to tell what it really was. What I consider the sighting is explained below. After seeing the strange star-like pinpoints across the sky, we began looking for more to see if it was an isolated phenomena.
We continued to walk and look when strait down the road between the rows of suburban houses and over the top of the circle's trees (the circle being at the end of the short road we live on) was a very bright light, my guess being with about -5 or -6 was just sitting there. At first it didn't click in my head because there's usually red lights in that part of the sky anyway because of power lines in the field. Then I realized the light wasn't red, it was a white light.
We were now halfway down the road, standing in awe at the 3-way intersection and stared at the light. I looked to my friend and asked him what he thought it was, and when I looked back I saw that it doubled in size. It was coming at us, straight down the road.
We thought it was a helicopter, so we ran back to his house like we were fugitives (we always pretended like that). When we got to his driveway, it was almost directly overhead and still no sound was coming from it. I took charge and told him to get his mom (I knew without an older witness that no one would believe us).
He ran inside yelling and his little brother came running out, followed by my friend and his mom. Now the diamond-shaped craft was directly overhead and hovering like a copter. The rest of the description gets blurry now, I believe there were 4 lights on bottom, the 2 sides being white or dull yellow, the front and back being red.
As far as I can remember, it was only there for us to regret not having a camera, then it tilted up at about a 30-35 degree angle and zipped away above his house pretty quickly. The only way I remember this many details about it is because I immediatley wrote it all down in my journal when I got home because I didn't want to take the chance of forgetting it, or having warped memories about it later.

1994 in Indiana- Black Triangle with white & red lights hovering then flying away quickly I was only 13 years old at the time. I was walking with my best friend from my house to his house in a subdivision outside of town. We stopped in the middle of the street to look for shooting stars.
We found a few lights in the far distance that looked like airplanes without the flashing lights, but their behavior was strange. The first one we found while looking to the north. It moved a few degrees through the sky then stopped.
A smaller light came from inside of it and went the same distance from its parent. After a minute it returned to its parent and it continued to fly away. We continued to look around and we saw a bright white light over the eastern tree line.
At first we just assumed it was a light on a tower, but after walking a bit more then turning around again it was noticeably brighter. We stared at it as it got bigger and bigger until we realized it wasn’t growing, it was approaching. We ran westward down the street to my friend’s driveway, just a few hundred feet away.
By the time we got there the object was above the street coming toward us. I told my friend to run inside and find a camera. He ran inside screaming and his 5 year old brother came running outside to see what was going on.
A few seconds behind him was their mother who was in her late thirties. My friend came back out without a camera to see what the object was doing. By this time it was hovering directly above us at the height of a two story house.
The object was hovering above us long enough for us to discuss it’s attributes. It was a black triangle shape with four lights, 3 white and one red. The white lights were at the corners and the red light was centered on it’s underside.
There was a low humming sound, but nothing more. No wind, no engine noise, and no movement. We knew it couldn’t be an airplane because it was hovering and we knew it wasn’t a helicopter because it was almost completely silent.
After about 2 minutes of hovering it simply tilted up slightly, probably about 25 degrees, and flew away at a very fast speed heading straight west above the tree line. ((NUFORC Note: Witness suggests that date of incident may be approximate. PD)).

Very bright light; the light seemed maganetically attached to our plane; followed us on the ground. My husband, who was an IFR pilot, and myself owned our own airplane; at this particular time it was a Cessena 175. We had spent many hours in our planes and on this particular occasion we were getting ready to go to Colorado; my husband wanted to see if we would need oxygen at (not certain of the exact altitude) 12-13 thousand feet.
(I have his log book at our home in Indiana and I'm at our home in Florida as I write this; this will give the exact date and possibly the altitude) We drove our ElCamino from South Bend to Plymouth, where our plane was hangered, about 2:00 am, did our pre-flight noticing nothing out of the ordinary. He needed night flying and also time "under the hood" for his IFR rating; so he decided to kill a few birds at one time. (It's been so long since this happened and my husband would not allow me to talk about it while he was alive; but I'll try to get as close to what the distances are as I can remember) He was going to do a 5 or 10 mile precision turn up to the 12 or 13 thousand mark and I was his "spotter".
The 5 or 10 mile precision turn means that you keep making circles around a central point and climb so many feet per minute. My job was to keep quiet and watch for any traffic. The night was clear as a bell and there was no traffic at SBN who we had filed our flight plan with.
We started our climb and the sky was empty; no traffic any direction. About 20 minutes into the climb I noticed traffic at 1:00 o'clock. I looked up again and the same traffic was at 1:00o'clock.
This happened the third time and I said to myself (because he had told me to keep completely quiet so he could concentrate); this cannot be happening because we are making a CIRCLE and the traffic is in EXACTLY the same spot. It came a little closer from the first time I noticed it till the exercise was finished; but not much. It only appeared as a light coming straight towards the plane.
It seemed too far away the whole time that I never feared of it hitting us. I felt like they or someone knew exactly what I was thinking. I felt that it was magnetically "glued" to the plane because it NEVER moved an inch.
I kept scooting around to make double certain that it wasn't a reflection of light from any place in the plane; it was not a reflection. I even put both hands up to the glass and looked at it like that. When we finally were within 1000 feet of out goal my husband asked me to light a cigarette for him; at that time I finally said, "We have something at one o'clock".
He said, "Congratulations, it has been there since 3 thousand feet". My husband had gotten the Bronze Star in WW2 and was never one who would become excitable; this is an important aspect in this event. I asked him to call SBN to see if we had traffic and he wouldn't do it; finally I coaxed him into it and they replied to us that not only did we not have traffic that he hadn't seen any in our area all night.
We broke formation and headed for the airport and it came with us for two or three minutes and when we signaled for the lights to come on in the airport it changed position to dropping behind us; it had followed us down as we lost altitude. As we were landing it kept getting closer and closer to us; as we touched down it kept very still about 300 feet from us. We pulled up to the hanger door; jumped out, even left the charts in the plane, quickly put the plane in, we did it so fast we broke the taillight from the top of the tail.
There was absolutely no noise coming from the bright light and we were close enough to have heard any noise from it. Jumped in the El Camino and drove as fast as we could to the highway; he started to turn north towards home and I screamed "No don't go that way it's deserted; go toward town". He turned south and by the time we came into downtown Plymouth we were going almost 100 mph.
He said "Where ((three words deleted)) are the police when you need them?" Trees had kept us from being able to see the "light" because they are all along on both sides of the street. I was able to see that it was following us until we went under the trees. I couldn't get him to go inside the police station and he wouldn't let me go in.
He refused to report it to the FAA and made me promise not to talk about it. He said he didn't want anyone thinking he was nuts. He died Jan of 05.
To this day I have a spooky feeling if I go near there; and will not go at night. ((NUFORC Note: Witness indicates that the date of the incident is approximate. PD)).
