Cross-shaped, white object with blurry or foggy appearance (possibly pulsating) moving at low altitude but high rate of speed The object was spotted moving quickly across the sky above my head at what appeared to be fairly low altitude. The object was blurry or foggy looking (possibly pulsating). It was in the shape of a cross.

It happened quickly and I was the only witness. No pictures were taken. There was no noted sound.

I'd been specifically listening to the frogs in my pond and the owls in the woods behind my house. The sighting did not startle my horses either. The object was moving fast enough that it was over in just a few seconds.

Orange fleet of lights in the sky. I was driving from Silverlake, WA towards Castle Rock, WA on Sunday night when to the right of me I saw what looked like a fleet of orange colored lights. At first I was like, what is that… thinking that they might have put up cell towers or something to warn planes of a hillside, but then I realize that they were actually something that was up in the air.

Definitely NOT planes, or helicopters. Possible drones of some kind, but they all seemed to move kinda like burning embers that would be floating in the sky or fireflies, but they were at least the size of planes. As soon as I got into Castle Rock I immediately pulled over and watched them cross over me.

It looked like they were coming from the Southwest of me over towards the Columbia River heading Northeast. I had been listening to a podcast and had my phone hooked to Bluetooth, and when I opened my camera to try and catch some footage of them I couldn’t find the video button (I swear it was like the icon wasn’t even on my phone.) I then disconnected from Bluetooth thinking that might be why the video wasn’t working, I was fumbling and full of adrenaline so I rang my mother who was in Silverlake and told her to run outside to see if she could see them too.

She couldn’t see anything from there yard where she was at because the property to the north of them is a big hill. I then returned to my camera to try and get footage, and the video button was ironically there that time, but the majority of the fleet had already disappeared into the clouds and there were only a few stragglers left in the sky. The footage I have doesn’t even come close to showing what I actually saw.

I have seen many UFO sightings in my life, but never crafts of this kind. I don’t remember hearing them, but on the videos there are some weird sounds that the mic picked up. I didn’t feel at all threatened by their presence, but definitely was in awe and super charged up.

Took a video of the sun against the smokey sky and saw a quick black object Stopped at the new gas station in town, and wanted to take a picture of the sun against the smoked filled sky from the wildfires. I got my phone out to take a picture, and I noticed the sign that tells fuel prices was flashing back and forth; however when you were looking without a camera (i phone) it was not flashing. I decided to take a video, and it continued to flash.

I was waiting for my husband to finish pumping gas, and out of the left corner of my eye a black blur went by. He came over to look at the video to confirm that the fuel prices were flashing, but we’re still when looking with your eyes. We came home and watched the video.

It could not be any clearer that I captured the fast black object fly past me and disappear into the sky. The object can be seen in the first 2 seconds of the video darting across from the right of the screen to the left. We were able to identify this happening throughout the video and believe we spotted at least 4 different objects.

The end of the video it can be seen swooping in front of me as a sphere and then can be zoomed in at the last frame on the top right. These were not drones. It seemed to change color from black to white when it crosses over the fuel sign.

It appears to almost have a bat like movement. If you want the 1 minute video then I need to be contacted directly. It is beyond anything I have ever seen before.

Silent object with dim white lights on it being chassed by a helicopter. Late on the night of the 14th of March, I heard a helicopter make several passes over my home. Something that's not very common where I live in rural WA.

Being a bit of a sky watcher, I go outside each time I hear the helicopter fly overhead. I can't see anything out of the ordinary with the helicopter, and being that it's night I can't see what model of helicopter it is. Just the usual distinctive sound of it's rotors and white and red flashing indicator lights.

On the third pass overheard I am able to see that the helicopter seems to be chasing a dim shape. I can't be certain of the exact shape, but it may have been triangular and it was about the same size or maybe a little bigger than the helicopter. The only illumination I can see coming from the object is dim white lights at each end.

The lights do not flash like a conventional aircraft's markers, they are constant. The entire time I can hear the constant sound of as single rotor helicopter, but I can not heard anything distinctive from the object it was chasing. One final note; I can't be sure of the altitude of either craft, but given the sound and relative distances I'm think both the helicopter and the object were no more than about 500 feet or so up.

Probably closer to 300 to 400. Pretty dang low to the deck, as these things go. I can't gauge speed but not exceptionally fast.

60 MPH perhaps, probably a bit faster.

My wife and I were on the patio when we noticed a bright light fly over the house coming from the NW and heading SE. As the object flew in front of the Moon I wonder if the lights were a reflection of the Moon, but the objects light quickly faded and I could then see the reflection of the Moon on it. It appeared to be round and the color looked like un-polished stainless steel.

We live on I-5 and the normal flight path for aircraft is north/south. The object seemed to be between 3000-5000 ft high, no navigation lights and no sound. This is also the third strange sighting in a month.

Bright Red/Orange Glowing Lights Moving in Specific NW Direction, No Sound This evening, starting at 910pm, PST, in Castle Rock, WA, I was walking a friend to her vehicle when we saw several bright orange/red orbs floating in the sky, in a specific NW direction, heading towards Highway 5. We live in the woods where there is little to no external light. We have seen several light phenomena's in the past during the late spring that consisted of bright white flashes of light for several hours from approximately 2300 - 0200, but nothing like this.

There were first 4-5 bright glowing orbs travelling relatively the same trajectory path, and they passed for several minutes, continuuing NW. I have recorded what I could with my cell phone. Moments after seeing the first group of light, three more came passing by, nearly following the path of Hwy 5.

They were relatively low, with no sounds as that which an aircraft would make. We did call our local police dispatch number to see if there were other reports of sightings, checking to see if the! re was a military operation going on, or something similar. The dispatcher basically dismissed my call.

My friend and neighbor both saw the lights I saw. I have a background in Aviation as well as majored in Environmental Science with a focus on Climatology/Paleo-Climatology. The lights were not like lights one would see from solar flares, I have seen solar flares in the past.

They were moving horizontally. The Wind was SSE 18G, 23MPH. This is from the NOAA Website for Portland, OR - nearest location: Winds Aloft Forecast - PDX 1616 1827-05 1931-12 2034-17 2140-31 2262-45 227955 226355 215453 In researching who to contact as I realized this was not a normal occurrence here, I found your website, where to my amazement, I also found the pilot's report from our same basic geographic location.

I am not sure what to think. We often have low flying helicopters fly over, following that path as well as planes, but these things were not either planes nor helicopters. There was a very slight breeze, and I don't believe them to be the floating lanterns which have become popular, as the trajectory path was consistent, low, and moving NW, against the SSE Winds.

They appeared to come from the SE, over a mountain range.

Three glowing reddish orange spheres hovering then maneuvering at fairly close range. UFO Report Location: 3 miles east of Castle Rock, WA, approximately 1/4 mile from SR504 and 1000’ east of Si Town Road. Date and Time: November 10th, 2012, 18:28 Pacific Standard Time.

Sky Condition: No Ceiling, Clear Sky, Dark Period of time observed: From initial visual acquisition to their departure, approximately 1 minute. Description of Objects: Three totally silent, solid, reddish orange glowing spheres forming an equilateral triangle. Size: Each sphere approximately the size of a dime held out at arm’s length.

Event Description: At approximately 18:28 Pacific Standard Time on November 10th, 2012, I was driving Southbound on Si Town Road toward my home. Three bright reddish orange spheres low to the ground initially caught my eye when I was approximately 1200 feet south of SR504 on Si Town Rd. Seconds after my initial visual acquisition these objects were momentarily obscured by trees.

When I re-acquired these objects about two seconds later I now had an unobstructed view of them. They appeared to be hovering at this point at an altitude of 500 feet or perhaps less above ground level and about 1000 feet horizontally to the southeast of my location. The ground level at this location is about 700 feet above sea level.

The three objects were close enough to my car that I almost stopped my car as I actually feared that they might block the road, but they stayed hovering where they had been the whole time so I continued southbound on Si Town Rd. They were totally silent. They did not blink, rotate or change color.

They maintained a constant luminosity until the end of this event. They were each very bright and each sphere was about as big around as a dime held at arm’s length. At this point I was not sure if I was observing one solid triangular craft with lights at each corner, or if I was observing three independent objects.

As I turned east onto Ness Rd. and approached my house about 45 seconds after initially acquiring these objects they began to maneuver independently of each other, but still over the same location. At this point they maneuvered into a straight line, equally spaced from each other and began to ascend.

I quickly pulled into my driveway with the car facing basically toward the objects. At this point they all ascended vertically together with no horizontal travel noted. One by one each object faded out and disappeared up into the darkness.

At this point I was quite shaken. I ran out of my car and into the house to get my wife. I grabbed my camera and tried to explain what had just happened to my wife, but there was no longer anything to see.

I called the Cowlitz County Sheriff’s Office and Castle Rock City Police Department 15 to 20 minutes after this event to inquire if anyone else had seen what I saw. They both responded in the negative. Let me add that until retiring I was a commercial pilot and I still hold an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate.

I’ve been flying since 1977. As such I am quite used to identifying and looking at things in the sky. The objects I observed tonight were NOT aircraft navigation lights, emergency lights, landing lights, helicopters, lighter-than-air craft, weather balloons, flares, Chinese lanterns, meteorological phenomena, satellites, swamp gas, or any other nonsense.

I know how non-aviation people can often misidentify things they see in the sky. This was not the case tonight. These were real, solid objects and appeared to maneuver under intelligent control.

I’m still shaking from what I saw more than an hour and a half ago. ((NUFORC Note: We spoke with this witness on several occasions, and we have exchanged several e-mail messages with him.

One bright meteor like object leaves a trail, vanishes and reappears again in a fixed and oscillating position I saw a one white colored meteor-like streak in the sky to the west. It disappeared for a fraction of a second and then reappeared on the same path, only to vanish again with bright flash of white light. I then noticed a fainter, dimmer and less sharp white to red light in the same area as the earlier meteor.

This time it was staying in an almost fixed postition, but moving rapidly back and forth in a space as big as a half moon. This lasted approximately 15 seconds. I was driving to Napavine, WA from Kelso, WA to work at 7:00 AM.

The sun was almost up, so the sky was pretty bright. I was a few hundred yards north of exit 49 on Interstate 5. Others hit the brakes when the initial meteor like event happened.

Several other cars were parked one the shoulder, with the lights on. I am a 34 year old male, and a heavy equipment operator on underground utilities projects.

Triangle Object I was driving Southbound on I-5 just north of Castle Rock, when I noticed a big triangle shaped object about 50-100 ft up in the air. The shape was like a triangle without being pointy. Kind of like an arrow head.

It had bright white lights underneith it that flashed on and off. When they flashed on, I could see the object itself. It was moving very slowly heading north and making no sound whatsoever.

Saw a bright white/red light moving very, very fast forward, up, down and backward in the approx. area of Mt. Rainier.

I was in the left rear passenger seat of my car with my husband driving (my mother was in the front passenger seat). First I saw what I thought was a falling star, a bright stream of light in the Eastern night sky falling in a slight curve for what, in my visual field, was approximately 4 inches, but was located a great distance away, so of course would have been far greater in length. A minute or so later I saw a bit farther south but still in the Eastern sky a fast moving light that was first bright white, then red, alternating.

This object was moving very fast and again a great distance away. The object, continuing to change from bright white to red, to bright white, etc, then began to move in an erratic fashion, jumping forward quickly, then up and down in a zig-zag fashion--not straight up and down but more in a pointed sine wave pattern. At this point, I said something to my husband, and he pulled the car off the freeway.

After he started watching the object, we saw it move backward, in addition to up and down. We continued to observe this odd motion for as long as we could. The lights from oncoming vehicles on the freeway made it impossible to continue observing the object.

I observed two objects (the "falling star" and the red and white lighted object) and my husband saw only the red and white lighted object). I didn't think about it at the time, but on telling my sister about it today, she pointed out that the direction we were looking was toward Mr. Rainier, where there have been repeated sightings over the years.

Neither, she nor I nor my husband have ever seen (or reported seeing) a UFO before. I am a medical transcriptionist and my husband is a skilled laborer in a paper mill. We are not given to flights of fancy.

We do not drink alcohol nor consume drugs. We are honest, God-revering, regular people. I am 49 and my husband is 45.

As we both saw the same thing, I am sure that what we saw was a UFO.

Shortly before dawn observed a white strobe light flying above tree line, object moved and lights changed to red, green and white, hovered around hills and then changed to solid white light and disappeared.
