My friend and I visited Scott’s Bluff in Scottsbluff, Nebraska about noon on May 31, 2012. We took some pictures of both north and south lookout points. My friend looked through his picture takes that night and he discovered something that may be an UFO.
That photo was taken at the north lookout point. He did not see the UFO when he took this photo. We were unable to positively identify it.
Look at 3 pictures below. This is an original picture. My friend discovered something in the upper right corner area.
So I cropped it; see below. This part of photo was cropped from the original. So I cropped it even more; see below.
Grayish bottom, blue rim. What is it? There is the sun reflection in the middle of the rim. Can't I paste photos on this form???.

Fast moving UFO with 90 degree right turn around Scottsbluff, NE I was driving home from Wyoming to Western Nebraska at about 10:15PM Mountain time. A bright light, about the size of a bright star moved quickly across the sky from west to east. I was driving east on Highway US 26.
The object caught my eye when I noticed it through the front windshield. It looked like a satellite, only moving much, much faster, and brighter. After moving almost towards the eastern horizon, the light stopped for a split second, then made a roughly 90 degree turn to the right, and sped off very fast to the south and disappeared from view on the southern horizon (or at least behind one of the many large rock features that are around the area).
There was a full moon outside, and most of the visible stars in the sky were obscured by moonlight. The light was VERY bright, white in color with an almost slight green hue. The sky at the time of the event was clear, although we did have some rain earlier in the evening.
The entire event took about 10 seconds (seemed much longer). I am highly educated (Doctoral degree), and work in public service. I was completely sober, and was wide awake and aware.
As a side note, I felt right after the sighting a "butterflies in the stomach feeling," and felt a feeling akin to the object knew that I observed it. I can't explain the feeling in words that properly describe the emotional experience. Again, very, very strange.
I have never experienced anything like this before, and frankly, I found fascinating, exciting and disturbing. Especially once I had some time to digest what happened. I felt compelled to make a report.
Unfortunately, I didn't get a photo or video. The experience simply happened to fast to get my phone out of my pocket. In the future, I am going to have my phone out and in the cup holder! -grin-.

Bright flash of light followed by trail About 30 minutes ago, I was walking to my car outside my apartment building and I saw a bright flash fill up the sky. At first I thought it was lightning because it was kind of muggy out but when I turned around to see if it might be I looked up and I saw a bright trail of light that slowly dissipated. The trail of light lasted about 30 seconds and disappeared.
When it did it vanish the trail was going from south west to north east. I am a 31 year old male and grew up in this region. I have seen this one other time when I was about 17 in a town about 90 miles east of where I am now.
I am a high school and college graduate.

Black, liquid mercury, shape changing object which can move at amazing speed, stop at amazing speeds to hover My husband and I were driving down what is normally a very busy street at approximately 10:30 a.m. on January 31, 2009 (Saturday).
For some odd reason, there was not one car in sight. My husband casually said, "Well, would you look at that, an unidentified flying object". I looked up to the northeast, and what we saw appeared to be about 2 miles away, black, and cigar shaped.
I said to him that I thought it was an airplane. He asked me just what kind of plane did I know that looked like that. Just as soon as he said that, the object flew instantly towards us and now was not even a quarter mile away in the sky.
It changed shape, still black, but looked like liquid metal. It became egg-shaped and was very shiny, however, the sun was blocked by solid cloud cover, so I didn't make sense that the object was reflecting light. It hovered in the same spot for about 15 seconds, then, with amazing speed, shot straight to the east and stopped instantly, hovering over the middle school.
I was now heading east in my car to get closer to it. I traveled two city blocks, looking straight at the object. When I became close, approximately 1/2 city block, it again shot off straight east and disappeared from sight.
My husband and I racked out brains trying to figure out what it could have been. We have never seen anything move that fast, stop to hover just as fast, change shape, you name it. It had no windows, no landing gear, nothing.
It just looked like a black and metallic, with a liquid mercury appearance. I wish I knew who to contact that would have access to radar in the panhandle of Nebraska area (close to Wyoming border) to see if anything was spotted on the morning of 1/31/9 in the morning.

Western Nebraska white-blue round light We noticed a white, round light with a blueish outerglow in the Northeast sky at approx. 2 o'clock on a North arrow. It lasted for a duration of 1½ - 2½ minutes descending appoximately 50 degrees in the sky.
The light dimmed after descending 40 degrees then brightened briefly and then dimmmed out completely. The line of sight was unobstructed by any trees or clouds in the sky. There was a tree to the left of the object that we were able to tract how far the light was descending.
There was no sound. The light was 10 times bigger than any other star in the sky. We were standing underneath a street light and quite shocked when we noticed the unusual behavior of the light.
We then blocked the street light out of our vision with our hands and noticed the other stars in the sky. It was not a plane or satellite as first two osbervers have seen both on numerous occassions in the night sky. The third and fourth observers only viewed the light for the last 20-30 seconds to watch it descend, dim and disappear.
Backgrounds: 1st observer: Graphic artist, very detail oriented, raised with a powerful telescope and a knowledge of astronomy. Has witnessed UFOs in the Sandhills of Nebraska on a few occassions. College courses included Astronomy and flight dynamics.
2nd observer: Graphic artist, very detail oriented, took astronomy in high school, have never witnessed a UFO before 3rd & 4th observer: Highschool students, have never witnessed a UFO before.

When attempting to photograph "stars" next to the moon, we captured something entirely different with almost perfect geometric shapes. Driving SB from Scottsbluff, NE towards Kimball, noticed what looked like one very orange star next to the moon, after observation, appeared to be anywhere from one to five orange stars clustered to the moon, curious, we photographed the moon. When picture was downloaded on computer, orange stars weren't visible, HOWEVER down below the moon is a perfectly round white circle and off to the right are also strange circular shapes which weren't seen by us at all when we were observing the moon.
Whats strange is when you zoom in on the lower circle you can see an almost perfect looking triangle in the middle, zoom back out and the circular shaes to the right almost appear to be trails (?) of the lower, smaller circle. Someone said it was probably a star but I tried to take photos of stars later and they do not look like these circular shapes. Later we recalled dashboard lights had blinked off three seperate times on the new veicle we were driving.
((NUFORC Note: Probably Mars. Please see other reports. PD)).
