Fast moving ball of light appears twice in the sky over North Platte Nebraska. At approximately 9:15pm sitting in my living room I had just watched a severe thunderstorm go by and it was still cloudy with flashes of lightning in the sky. I suddenly saw a ball of light go across the sky through the clouds.

It took no more than a second to disappear over our garage going East to West. Moments later my wife had I were standing in the back yard when she saw the same kind of light moving north to south and only taking a second to go from horizon to horizon. So fast that when I turned it was gone.

There was a lot of lightning in the sky but this was not lightning. It was too fast to be any aircraft I have ever seen. I was a helicopter mechanic in the Army and my dad worked on jets for TWA and I grew up living under the landing path for MCI /Kansas City International Airport.

I know what planes look like and sound like. The ball of light was partially concealed by the clouds so we could not see any shape other than just a round light.

spoon shaped silver gray with blinking white light on it While outside close to sundown i looked up and saw what i though was an aircraft at first until i realized i have never seen one like that. It was spoon shaped big top skinny bottom. it had a flashing white light on it on the top and it was silver gray.

20+ reddish gold orbs floating from the south of community to the north. Was out in backyard with husband, watching fireworks when we witnessed a small reddish-gold orb crossing from the south to the north. At first, we thought it was a firework but as the fireworks went out, this orb kept moving and the light did not go out.

These orbs appeared to be round, floating, no sound, then as we kept watching, we seen more, on average, 3-5, they were heading from the south to the north of our community, they appear to float. At one time, we witnessed 7 orbs to the north of the community and stayed approx 20 minutes. Then they just disappeared, then we would see one or two more showing up and heading to the north and to the west of the community.

25 to 30 Large Bright Orange Round moving objects with no sound, going north. Our Second Sighting: Large Bright Orange Glowing Balls Traveling In Twos On 07/04/2013 North Platte, Nebraska Our second sighting: Again out of North Platte Nebraska, on July 4, 2013 around 9:20 pm I was out back on the deck behind our house in our yard watching fire works when I observed two large round bright orange glowing objects coming from the west & two from the south at the same time. The ones coming from the west turned north as they reached the edge of North Platte & the ones coming from the south were going north & they all continued north until they were no longer visible.

This continued for about 2 hours. I watched a minimum of 25 to 30 of them within that time period. After 11 pm they stopped coming.

My husband witnessed two of them going from the south to the north as he was leaving for work around 10:30 pm & again there was no sound coming from them.

A large bright orange glowing ball floating silently above the trees. Our First Sighting: A Large Bright Orange Glowing Ball Floating Silently Above the Trees, It Was Headed South, Then West A Ways, Then Headed Directly North On 07/03/2013 North Platte, Nebraska I was sitting out back on our deck behind our house, on the south side of our house. It was about 10:15 pm when I noticed a large bright orange glowing ball.

At first it was moving from east to west above the tree line beside our house, headed south then it went a west a ways, then it headed directly north. It was about the size of a small airplane, but it was round, it continued above the tree line heading west. I ran to the back door & called to my husband to come quick & hurry, come here fast!! He did, I pointed to the object & he looked & saw it too.

He said: I see it! There was no sound coming from it. As we watched, it then went off toward the south, my husband had to leave, so I watched it as it then turned & went west a ways before heading off north until it was out of my site.

Large V-shape formation of lights My wife and I were sitting in the backyard enjoying the cool night when I saw a large V-shaped formation of many white faint lights streak across the sky. They were in a perfect formation and heading north to south. I did not hear any sound.

Pumping fuel at loves travel center looked over to see people looking up in the sky walked over to see what was going on looked up in sky to see a hovering triangle with 2 orange orbs following the triangle shaped craft event lasted about five minutes then it was like the lights turned of to vanish in the night sky.

Object over North Platte Nebraska At approximately 21:55 on 10-10-2011 I was about 2 miles south of North Platte on hwy 83 headed north. I was on a section of the hwy that had a view of direct north with no obstructions. As I approached the highest elevation of that section of the highway I saw a bright light that lasted for about 3 to 4 seconds.

I was on a direct north route and the object I saw was in the upper right corner of the windshield. I was unaware if the object was there for some time,I believe I saw it only as it came into view of my windshield. I would say it was about 20 degrees to my right traveling a direct south to north route.

The object had no tail so I believe it was not a comet that entered the atmosphere. The best way I can describe it in size and shape would be the same as the planet Jupiter. I am very familiar with that planet as I see it the morning from my back porch (I use Google Sky Map on my phone) It was round and it moved very quickly.

It was very bright and it was a white light with no color at all. I see planes and helicopter in this area all the time and it was defiantly neither. The altitude I cannot determine as there were no other objects to reference in the night sky.

It seemed to be going due north but not descending. At one point it was gone I am not sure where it went as I had to get my eyes back on the road. As I looked again it was gone.

The weather conditions were clear and cloudless. I am not claiming to have seen a "UFO" or "spaceship" what I saw was a large round bright object in the sky moving at a very high rate of speed.

Large saucer objects relative to the size of the moon, moving slowly and disappearing. I was outside smoking with my brother when I looked up at the sky in the west. I seen two large objects with a size that was relative to the moon.

They were so large that I first thought it was a blimp of some sort. I continued watching and they moved relatively slow going from left to right. Left to right in my case would be that they were moving north.

The objects were at about a thirty to forty degree angle. As the two large objects headed north, they came together side-to-side and became stationary. I knew the objects were saucer shaped because there was many red lights that made it known, they were this shape.

Once stationary, the objects were seen for about five more seconds when they slowly disappeared.

I walked out of the house at 10 PM and something caught my eye, so I looked up and saw a Rectangle Object with a White Light on each corner, and a Red light Flashing in the Middle. It was being followed by what Appeared to be a Unmanned drone.It was moving slow from North east to Southwest.

This thing didn't seem to make any noise at all. My son went on youtube right away and was looking up sightings, and found the exact same UFO was being chased by F-16s over Belgium 12 years ago. WOW we are excited.

I have Lived here for 50 years and have seen 7 Ufos around here in the last 6 years. I come from a Family of Pilots, Private and Military so I would like to think I know the difference.

Went to my truck and looked up and saw 3 very very hight lights moveing in a tri shap. shift and move north slowly , as watching the 3 dots move very slow a plan moveing fast flys under the dots ufo. puzzeled how 3 dots can shift and move that hight in the sky and then see a flashing light plan of corse go by under it flast ? the ufo then was out of sight like it went up higher.

BRIGHT LIGHT CHASED BY AIRCRAFT. WENT OUT SIDE AND LOOKED UP DUE WEST,NOTICED ALOT OF BLINKING AIRCRAFT LIGHTS.THOUGHT TO MYSELF THATS UNUSUAL FOR THIS AREA WE DONT GET MUCH AIR TRAFFIC HERE.

AIRCRAFT WERE IN A FORMATION HEADING NORTH.LOOKED ABOVE AIRCRAFT AND AHEAD OF THEM AND NOTICED A CIRCLE OF YELLOWISH AND ORANGE LIGHT QUIET A BIT BIGGER THEN THE AIRCRAFT.IT THEN DAWNED ON ME THAT THE AIRC,WERE CHASING THIS LIGHT.

THE LIGHT ACCELERATED AND CONTIUED NORTH .THEN IT STARTED GOING EAST.IT WAS RAPIDLY LEAVING AIRC BEHIND.

I OPENED THE BACK DOOR AND HOLLERED AT THE GUYS AND FOUR CAME OUT TO SEE IT.THE LIGHT THEN SWUNG SOUTH AND APPEARED TO BE GOING EVEN FASTER.THERE WAS NOW NO SIGN OF ANY AIRC.

THE LIGHT STAYED ON A SOUTHERN PATH UNTIL IT WAS TO FAR AND WENT INTO CLOUDS.THESE BY THE WAY WERE THE ONLY LITTLE PATCH OF CLOUDS VISIBLE TO US.REST OF THE NIGHT SKY WAS VERY CLEAR.

Massive UFO at Union Pacific Bailey Yard UFO Incident at Union Pacific Bailey Yard I was working The East Hump helper (switchman) on August 16, 1985. My job was to line the Hump Engine thru a clear track .then get around train at west end.

then line switch to proceed to the hill. If Yardmaster said go 8-4. You would send engine west thru 8, and then line 4 to the hill.

At around 6:00 PM .I was waiting in Pinner’s Shack (located between Tracks 4 & 5) at East End to Climb on Train being Shoved at 5 mph by hump engine. Suddenly the Speaker went off and front chair yardmaster was yelling Do you see that? Do you see that? The ground was shaking and I came out of the Shack and to my Astonishment, when I looked Up a saw a huge Rectangular Craft.

It was Massive! It was 400 yards wide by 800 yards long in fact it almost covered the whole East Receiving Yard which is about a mile and a quarter in length. It was Black and light Silver in color and about every 50 ‘ or so there were round turrets on it. I believe this UFO was interested in the Train Movements because Union Pacific Bailey Yard located in North Platte, Nebraska is The World’s Largest Rail Classification Yard.

It hovered above me for a good 35-40 mins and made a whirring noise.not really loud but noticeable. The Engineer and other helper on the Hump Engine .

saw it to and The Switch Foreman in Hump Tower and both Yardmasters also . One Thing I will say I have never in my life seen anything leave so fast, this craft went from a standstill to being gone in about a second! To my knowledge this has never been reported by anyone and most like forgotten about. But not for me.

this haunts me like a bad dream…I remember this like it happened yesterday. I can submit a sketch/drawing of it.however I will probably have to mail it to you.

(as I do not have any computer program that does that unfortunately). When the Train finally came to the Hill.the Yardmaster stopped it.

I was told to come inside, In all my years in the Yard this has only happened twice…once in a Tornado Watch and this. We discussed what we all saw upstairs in the Yardmaster s area of the Tower. We all decided not to say anything to avoid being called kooks or crazy.

I will verify that this incident did really happen and I have decided after all these years it needs reported.

UFO follows train tracks I was heading east on hi-way 30 towards Maxwell Ne. fifteen miles away. I was taking my best friend home who lived south of the town.

There are railroad tracks that run perpendicular to the hi-way, and I usually did not like heading to Maxwell on that road as the trains always ran with their front light on (they only had one at that time) and I hated that cause they were always on high. But it was early and still light out so I thought it would be fine if there was a train, as it would not blind me then. The weather was cloudy and grey, and it had been misting all day and was cold out.

I can not remember why we were making it an early day, but I think we had a test the next day for school. As I started out of town we were just talking and I noticed that there was a train coming towards us and I immediately thought "Crap, a train with it's light on. I hate that.

" Then as we got a little closer to the "train" I noticed that it looked like a really tall train, as the light was twice as high as it should have been, but still did not think anything was strange about it. Then as we got even closer I realized somthing was not right about it and saw that the light was high above the tracks and my friend stopped talking and I said to him "What the hell is that?" Moving very slowly along the tracks was a football shaped craft the the ends coming to a flat point. The light was on the front pointing straight ahead and there was another I could not see at first pointing directly down onto the tracks.

It also had several small coloured lights at different areas on it. I had pulled over nad actually got out of the car and walked towards it trying to figure out what I was looking at. My friend was freaking out and wanted me to get back in and drive away.

The car never quit running and I did not notice any electrical problems either. Good thing there was no traffic as I probably would have gotten run over! The object did not make any noise at all. It was dead silent.

I stood there and watched it glide down the tracks with the light shineing down on it. The size of it was about a train engine and a half long, it was a fairly big craft. It just faded into the grey mist out of sight.

Finally the cold rain sort of snapped me out of the daze I was in as I watched it and I got back in the car and started off towards my friend's home. We did not say anything for a while and it was sort of like being in a dream. When we did start talking it was like we were trying to make some sense of what we had just witnessed.

I should also mention that this was in sight of the airport which is just south of the hi-way and there are electrical lines that cross the tracks at several points so anyone flying an aircraft along them would have been very foolish and crashed doing so. Also the Union Pacific does not check the lines that way either. The whole sighting took only about five or six minutes even though it seemed like hours, but when I dropped him off and got home it was actually four hours later.

Maxwell is only fifteen minutes up and fifteen back. We left town at around 18:30 hours and I did not get home till after midnight. I still do not really know what to make of that.

The next day when we saw each other, he said to expect the Ne State Patrol to contact me cause his Mom called them after he told her what happened. I was freaked by that cause I just knew that everyone would think we were nuts or high on something. They called the airport to see if there were any planes coming in at that time, and there were none and they saw nothing on their radar either.

We never discussed that event again for years till he asked me to recall the whole thing and I did. Unknown to me he was recording me and he played the tape for a friend of his who said our story's were identical. I know this happened many years ago, but it is still fresh in my memory just as the day it happened.

Massive Pitch Black boulder shaped and jagged edges totally silent zoomed over my window of view at thirty to forthy thousand ft. On, or about 10:10 PM The two of us were star gazing the sky and looking up in the midnight blue background sky. In North Platte, Nebraska the stars that can be seen in the nights sky are brillantly luminated.

Watching the sky counting the meteors and meteorites as they passed over our heads. Meanwhile, my friends sister was just inside attending a birthday party at the skating ring, we were her escorts that for the night. All of us are walking towards his house and, at the intersection of Custer Ave.

and West 13th street, the background sky nearly Jet Black it was late in the evening shortly after 10: 00 PM which was nearly solid black and I'm looking Northward up about 30 degree in the sky, when a massive Pitch Black rock shaped and jagged edges the size or mass of three football fields. Directly, behind the leader in formation two seperate objects split apart about half the mass as the leader combined the same shape and color. Another pair exactly the same just smaller than the first pair directly behind the first pair.

Directly, behide the last pair was a single object exactly the same as the others only smaller yet. So they went from enormous leader the first to a pair that were exactly the same size objects too another pair exactly the same size each only smaller in size to the first pair. The sixth object same shape and color just smaller than the second paired objects and directly behind and in the middle making up what would be the star of David formation.

However, it was solo and directly behind but in the center of the last pair. The final object was out of formation and off and well behind the pack just smaller than all the rest of them. It was like it struggled to keep up with the rest of the objects.

As these pitch black objects the shape of giant boulders with jagged edges raced across the night sky from North to South in my window of the sky view I shouted to my friend to look at these objects and pointed them out he could not see them because the were nearly the same color as the background sky, If anyone including me would have blinked an eye you would have seen nothing, Moving extremely fast they were like a blurr only darkening out the stars as they passed over us like a shadow with pure silence. Then, I took my eyes off the pack for just a second to aid him by pointing them out with my finger and in doing so I had difficulity trying to re-aquire the group because the speed was out of this world. Finally, as I reaquired them on the flight path I was able to point them out again and he saw only a glimpse of a second or two before they vanished into a massive puffy white anvil or mushroom shaped clouds that were roughly one hundred fifty mile to the South at an altitude between 30,000 to 40,000 feet.

They came out of the North on the same level flight path the moment I saw them dash through my window of view. I went home and told my parents what I saw and the were the least but interested because they were watching Ronald Reagan giving his exceptance speech for nomination of the Republican Party for President that Friday evening which is my Fathers birth date. I highly doubt anyone would believe my story I was only fourteen years old.

Star gazing with a friend during meteror event we watch the stars. The background of the sky was midnight blue. Nearly 10:30 pm the background sky was nearly pitch black.

I picked a spot out of the Northern Milky way and watched. And thats, when the First of Seven jetted across my view. Extremly high in altitude.

I would guess nearly 60,000 feet. Traveling due South. If I would have blinked my eyes I would have seen nothing.

The first object was pitch black ellipse in shape and jagged edges all around. It was the size of three football fields combined sq. ft.

Second and third objects identical in size were directly behind split apart same shape and color. If the those two were combined they would be half the size as the first. Fourth and Fifth identical size, directly behind two and three.

Split apart same color and shapes if combined they would be half the size of object 2 or 3. Sixth object half the size of 4 or 5 directly behind and centered. Seventh object same color and shape half the size as 5.

However, it was offset from the previous 6 craft and out of formation from the group. All were traveling extremly fast. They bolted from the far Northern View of the Milky to the South under 10 seconds.

I have a photographic memory of what I saw. They crossed my window of view and one could barely distingish let alone see them because the color was so black and the background sky was nearly black. They made no sound.

As I'm watching them I tell my friend and look off them for a second or two to point them out to my friend. It took 2 or 3 second relocate them. Within one or two seconds they vanished into Far South through large Cumulus Anvil cloud that was 100 miles away to the South of North Platte, Ne.

Definately, UFO's I could see them visibly because they blacked out the stars lights as the passed over my view. Definately 7 objects total. Group of six were in perfect formation following the leader.

I could distingish them as seperate because I could see the stars between objects. The Seventh object was trailing the group seem to keep it distance from the main body. All seven were of the exact make just the sizes varied from largest to smallest.

Anyhow, I got the best view and my friend only seen a glipse of what I witnessed. ((NUFORC Note: Witness indicates that date of incident is approximate. PD)).
