UFO Hovering In My Backyard While laying in the bed, my husband and I heard what we thought was a helicopter right outside our window. After 15 minutes, I got up and looked out the window to verify if the helicopter was out there. There I saw a large object that had a square and a slight circular shape.

There were red lights on each end. And it was hovering just above the trees in between my yard and my neighbors. The sound the object was making was similar to a helicopter in close proximity.

I shouted, "Oh my God! What is that!?" My husband immediately got up and looked out the window. He also shouted in disbelief. The object begin to move away slowly.

We ran to our son's room who is 19 years old so he too could witness what we saw. He observed the object as it moved on, in disbelief. As the object moved on, there were 2 military helicopters that followed the object from a short distance.

The helicopters continued to fly around our area for another 30 minutes. As if monitoring the object. We continue to question ourselves in disbelief.

However, we are clear the object was not an airplane, helicopter or drone. And after researching UFO sightings, we know this was indeed a UFO. ((NUFORC Note: Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information.

Large green fireball seen falling from sky over Fort Washington, Maryland. Driving north from Accokeek, Maryland to Fort Washington, Maryland, on Route 210, Indian Head Highway, I approached Old Fort Road when I saw what appeared to be a large green brightly lit object moving with a very wide tail that tapered off in the sky. It fell to earth ahead of me.

It appeared to land near Oxon Hill, Maryland. ((NUFORC Note: This event is reported on the American Meteor Society website as a meteor. We have looked at the video of the event on their website, and we agree with that assessment.

Twinkling multicolor "star" that moved across the sky after being idle for over 10 minutes or more On the evening December 25 ((sic-- around 1030 I was putting my grandughter to sleep, as I looked out the window I saw a bright star that twinkled. i thought that the sghtings we saw a few weeks ago being the 2 planets near the moon had moved, so i decided to go and take a closer look, I watched it while i put her to sleep which was about 15 minutes. I then thought it was a glare on the mirror since it didnt move or a street post, but the posts in our area Ft Washington MD are not that high.

I went and laid her down and got my binoculars. I had kept them out from my little gil looking at the planets a few weeks ago. It was still twinkling and appeared to have alternating patterns of colors and then nothing.

This was too weird so I opened the window to seee better but closed it it was cold out. AI kept looking at it from the binoculars in amazment, it did not move, then finally it began to move crazy like up then down then began to move across, i was like oh ((word deleted)) what the hell. it then began to move across the sky, like cloud view or helicopter, inbetween, still had the color alternating thing, and a whoosing sound like a jet but deeper in sound, I appeared to have a dk grey metallic like stucture with like some red lights amongst the bottom.

As fast as it was and that crazy noise was unbelievable. i stood in the window kept sayign Oh my God and then started crying. I didnt know what to do or say, i then got my son up who always has stated that he sees some different planes and told him about it.

he said he had just heard the noise but did not know what it was. Please know that i am just a normal person, i do not drink or do drugs so this was not some imagination. I have been googleing all morn to see if anyone else saw this.

If so pls contact me. I do believe in "UFO" as they call them, but never did i expect to see one in my lifetime. I am just in amazment and the image keeps playing in my head and the sound.

Object zig-zagged around sun in less than a minute. I was using various ways to spot UFO's on a nice sunny day last month at my Aunt's house actually in Maryland off of Indian Head Highway (Close to Woodrow Wilson Bridge-I-95 North). My brother, laughed at me and called me an 'idiot' when I told him why I had a negative film strip over my right eye, looking at the sun at this cookout.

Then, the rush hit me as I saw a cloaked looking craft stopping perfectly on and off going toward the sun. I said out loud, "I GOT ONE! WHOA just sitting there!!!" I took my digital camera and snapped three shots before I put the negative to my eye again, just to show it had dissapeared. When I got home I received a call from my mother who said she was concerned I'd say I was seeing things no one else saw-especially looking directly at the sun.

The object went from the left side of the sun, to the right-In less than two minutes!!! I also captured a UFO watching a Airplane coming/going from Reagan National. Thanks. Photos Sent to email below.

Luminous green, white outlined tear shaped object moving quickly accross the sky in a dwonward curve. My dad and I were outside talking when a large tear shape light that was a luminous green with a white outline flashed across the night sky. It lasted only a few seconds as its path was downward curving towards the ground and went out view quickly.

Neither my father or I heard any noise. There were no windows or flashing lights. ((NUFORC Note: Please see other reports from the east coast for this date.
