Stationary large orange red lights, one light moving out from another to become to separate lights On the beach at Fort Morgan, AL on August 19 around 9:45 pm. My sister and I were on deck of beach house looking south and out over the gulf, at I guess a 30 to 40 degree angle, we saw an orangey red light (appeared larger than Jupiter that was visible that night) in the sky. It was not moving.
A second light seemed to move out from the first and they both were stationary for a moment and then disappeared. I few seconds later, another orangey red light of the same size appeared then after a moment disappeared. After a couple of seconds another red light appeared and as in the first instance, a second light seemed to move out from the first and both were stationary and then they disappeared.
Although the lights were stationary when they appeared, the location of each event seemed to very slightly more eastward. Although not certain, it seems that the appearance of the second single light was slightly lower than the two events involving 2 lights. After the sighting, we called other people out on to the deck in hopes that they would see it too.
There were approximately 15 of us. No more red lights appeared but at about 10:30 pm, to the west above the shoreline, a consecutive burst of lights appeared, seemed like 5 total, then disappeared. It was quick and those who saw it were left with different impressions.
Some thought the lights looked almost square, other though round and some though maybe just cloudy puffs of something. However, one of us got a photo with a phone although it is fuzzy, the photo definitely shows it was lights, not anything cloudy or flame-like. I am aware that there is an airport somewhere to the west of where we were located.
Considering that, there may be a plausible explanation for the lights. However, the red light were definitely not the common red light you see on aircraft. There are quite a few planes flying at night at that location and these lights were oranger, larger, lower and stationary.
And I’ve never seen anything like the second phenomenon.

Amber colored round shaped lights visible that appeared to be stationary appeared in a sequence and evenly spaced. Me and five other family and friends observed a strange series of lights while watching a lightning storm East of Fort Morgan. We saw a single orange round light that had an orange hue and was very bright due South of us out over the Gulf.
The light appeared to be stationary. It glowed for about 20 seconds and then extinguished gradually. About a minute later the same shape and brightness appeared again about 10 degrees West of the first appearance.
It extinguished in the same fashion as the first one. Then a similar light appeared slightly West of that one. This object added lights sequentially from left to right (East to West ) one by one to a total of four evenly spaced lights horizontally side by side and evenly spaced, then they extinguished.
No sound accompanied the sighting.

The object appeared from the ground and started to rise straight into the air at a slow rate. I thought it was a helicopter at first until the object stopped its ascent around 1,000 to 1,200 feet. The object remained stationary for about 3 mins.
When I switched my phone from the camera mode to the video mode the object shot off at an alarming rate. The object was over water the entire time. I have multiple pictures if anyone is interested.

We saw the same as reported below on July 25 and July 26 in Gulf Shores at Fort Morgan area. Sighting Report Occurred : 6/6/2007 22:00 (Entered as : 06/06/07 22:00) Reported: 6/10/2007 2:21:43 PM 14:21 Posted: 6/12/2007 Location: Gulf Shores, AL Shape: Changing Duration:34 minutes Orange Glowing Unidentified objects over the Gulf seen by 4 different people at once. My Husband first noticed a orange looking circular shape appear over the ocean.
He pointed it out to the rest of us thinking at first that it could be some sort of spotlight from a helicopter or plane. Within a minute or two the light suddenly dissapeared and reappeared in seconds above the coast line to the right of it's original location. This flashing from left to right went on for approx.
5 or more minutes. There was no sound, no flashes, no type of trail as though from any form or flare or fired round. The lights stopped for a couple of minutes and then reappeared more extravagent.
I personally witnessed the light appear over the ocean and then another orb seemed to stretch out of the original. The cloned orange orb moved faster than light to the far right and then in a quick spinning type motion the light stretched and lines appeared in it. Those went away and then suddenly 4 different ones appeared with the last one to remain being in the same spot as the one that had spun.
That one two spun and they all vanished. This lasted from the time we noticed it for about 34 minutes central time. There were no planes, no helicopters, no jets, etc.
and no sound at all. I never believed in anything and am still not sure of what it could have been except that of a UFO considering the fact that we can not identify it. The beach was full of crab hunters, so others who may not have been focused upon the beach could have witnessed this as well.
We did observe these through bonoculars, however by the time we thought to grab a camera the lights stopped. I guess our word is all we have though the lights stayed long enough to get plenty of pictures, I think we were all more stunned than anything. ((NUFORC Note: We spoke with this witness, and she sounded to us to be quite sober-minded.
We do not know what they saw. PD)).

Anomalous lights witnessed near Gulf Shore, AL I and one other person witnessed the anomalous lights from Gulf Shores, AL on June 6, 2007 that was reported by the other witness from the area on the same date and at the same time. What we saw was essentially the same as described by the other witness. The lights were observed in the WSW at approximately 35 degrees above the horizon.
I was able to observe the lights through binoculars and they appeared to be two separate rectangular lights spaced closely together. I was also able to discern a third, faint, strobing light near the two rectangular lights. When the lights faded out the rectangular light on the right went out followed immediately by the rectangular light on the left.
During the time of this observation through the binoculars there were three separate sets of these lights spaced evenly on the horizontal. The lights apparent size was that of pea held at arms length. It was impossible to estimate the altitude of the lights.
No noise was heard, however the sound of the surf would almost definitely masked the sound of any distant aircraft. At the time I thought that they were possibly the exhaust of jet fighter aircraft as the aircraft were flying at level flight at an angle directly away from my position, however the lights reappeared three or four times in approximately the same position over a period of several minutes. This, in my mind, rules out that hypothesis.
A few minutes later, a single light appeared slightly to the south of the original lights at roughly the same angle above the horizon. The light remained stationary for approximately 2 seconds and then expelled a similar light from the left (my left) which quickly descended approximately three times the width of the original light as if it were in free fall then both lights faded out simultaneously. Initially, I thought that this might have been a flare dropped from an aircraft, however the short duration of the light is not a characteristic of a military-type flare.
One or two minutes later another similar light appeared in roughly the same position as the one previously described. About one second after it appeared the light seemed to streak to my left (east) a short distance and then quickly faded out. When the object moved it produced streaks of light behind it (opposite the direction of travel).
That marked the end of the observation. Nothing further was observed. I am a Captain in the Army with 18 years of service, have served in combat and I have a B.
S. in geology. The other witness has served in the military, is a combat veteran and has a degree in and currently practices law.
We both agreed that what we witnessed was unlike anything ever observed by either of us.
