I was awaken by a bright light shining through my window. I looked up and at first thought it may be the moon. I tried to go back to sleep but the light was so bright it was bothering me.
I got up and looked out the window and saw a very bright white light, so bright it was hard to tell the shape but the closest I would put it with would be a circle. It was very low in the sky, it rested just above the treetops. At first I thought maybe someone brought in soccer lights to do construction, so I laid back down with my back facing the light and tried to go back to sleep.
As I laid there resting I realized that we lived too far from the construction site to be able to see any lights. I turned around and the light had completely disappeared. I didn't take any pictures because at the time I would have to open that back door and I didn't want to wake anyone up.
I am not sure what I saw but this light has not sat well with me from the moment I first laid eyes on it, It is odd.

Close sighting of possible alien orbs. The sighting was of small spheres about the size of soft balls or slightly larger. They had a very bright shinny metallic in appearance.
They were moving as a small group (3 to 4 ft. in dia.) They came from a wooded area behind a roll of houses about 35 feet from me.
They were only about 10 feet above the house traveling at a low rate of speed as they came over the house as they flew directly toward me. I was standing in the street. At this time an other sphere trailing just behind the group came from on a lower flight path just clearing the house roof to join the others.
As they approached the street where I was standing they made an abrupt turn parallel to the street as if they had seen me. They crossed the lot of the house next to the first one and flew into and through the tops a group of leafless hardwood trees on the far side lot line. All the time, maintaining the same general group size, and without hitting any tree branches that I could see.
This fl! ight path, to the West, took them to the wooded area from which they had come. I quickly moved down the street for a better view of their flight path, but they had disappeared from my sight. Also, just before this sighting I had noted a bright object high above me with a short bright tail traveling at a high rate of speed.
It made a very sharp U turn back toward it's original flight path and disappeared quickly. Could these have been alien orbs? ((NUFORC Note: Witness elects to remain totally anonymous; provides no contact information. PD)).

Two bright, non-moving lights in the sky, brighter than the stars. A friend and myself were standing outside of his house, which is in a subdivision. We were looking in the sky attempting to identify constellations, studying for an astronomy class.
There is a significant amount of light pollution in the area. I was looking north or northwest, and my friend was looking southeast. He mentioned that I should look where he was looking.
I looked southeast. We both observed two extremely bright points of light. One light appeared vertically above the other light.
They were not moving at all. My first impression was that they were just extremely bright stars, and I looked into my book to try to find them. I looked back up a few seconds later and they were gone.
There was no sound. Both points of light were the same brightness, and appeared to be much brighter than any star in the sky.

Bright White Light in distant sky, stationary, but gone one hour later. Other object red and green and dim. At approximately 9:00 p.
m., my husband and son were returning from being out and noticed two objects in the sky near our home when they drove in. One object was Northwest and the other was Southwest.
Both were at the same distance in the sky and directly across from each other, by a considerable distance. The object northwest was brighter than any star we have ever seen. Very white and seemed to be flickering mildly.
The other object southwest had green and red lights, but fainter in color. Both objects were stationary. My son told us they were probably planets, and we went in the house, not wanting to make a scene in front of the kids.
We went back out about an hour later to check and see if they were still there, and they were gone.

Intense bright, spherical white light over Auburn University campus ~9:30pm 2/25/07 I had just finished the main leg of my run and was walking back to my apartment when I ran into a buddy of mine. We were chatting for about 5 minutes right in front of my apartment when an incredibly bright, white ball of light suddenly appeared about 100 feet (rough approximation) in the air, seemingly out of nowhere. It looked like a perfectly round sphere, of a pure white light (a white like none I have ever seen before), and had a white tail of light that tapered of at the end.
It was traveling in a north-western direction, was totally silent, and quickly disappeared. It only lasted about 5 seconds but I saw it clearly as I was facing its direction. My friend only saw it out of the corner of his eye.
We went walking in the direction that it was headed, since it looked like it was going to crash into the ground, to see if we could find anything. However we didn’t see much nor did we run into anyone else who we could ask if they had also seen it. We only walked about a block though.
My first impression was a missile (due to the fact that we have frequent military aircraft flybys) or a firework. But it couldn’t have been either because of the nature of its appearance. I don’t know what it was but I am thoroughly excited by the sighting.
Since it was requested, I am a skeptical individual but have a desire to believe. I can’t claim that it was a UFO since I know very little about the nature of sightings and what-not. As a kid, though, I was obsessed with them.
My friend didn’t seem too interested and also seemed a bit entertained by my speculations over what it could have been.

Blue Star object seen hovering above auburn then dissapears. We were driving down the road as I looked out into the sky and saw a huge shining blue object. When we arrived and got out of the car and noticed that the clouds were moving behind it and that it appeared to be moving slightly (hovering)- yet it still looked like a huge star.
After standing there for and hour we went inside. I came back outside about 10 minutes later and the "star" or "ufo" was gone. I saw some kind of dark plane with only white light fly by very low and fast to where the ufo was.
It cirled the location for about a minute. Then all the planes lights went off and within seconds I saw the plane again at the altitude of a commercial plane flying east towards Georgia.

large elongated oval of light which appeared moon-like. It did not light sky adjacent to it. Roughly the size of 3 moons side-by-side I have a B.
S. in ((deleted)), a ((deleted--graduate/professional degree in social science)). I am a ((deleted--40+)) year old female with a husband and ((deleted--several)) children.
I am presently ((deleted)) education and have been a ((deleted--professional)) as well. Today, 2-2-03, at 8:05 pm,I was out with my dog in our yard. I was looking at the NE sky in relation to my home.
An object appeared suddenly in the sky as if a huge but self-contained light had been switched on. It was totally illuminated like the moon without lighting the sky around it. No halo or beams, just white moon-like light.
The object was roughly the length of 3 moons, but stretched into a long sideways oval or egg shape. I observed it,trying to figure out what it was, for about 3-5 seconds. It traveled in a south to north direction rapidly but seamlessly in a smooth glide and then completely disappeared as if a light had been extinguished.
There is nothing in my experience to compare this with visually. The only other event I have witnessed was a bright illumination late at night which went from one end of the yard on with a ruler-sharp edge. The lighted section was like daylight -the dark was like night.
This event was also capured by a bank camera operating at night and was on the news the next day (which validated what I saw). I only hope someone out there witnessed the whatever-it-was tonight and will let me know.

Bright lighted object 30 feet above me, rose, sped away, emitted shower of sparks in distance This is very inexact. I know the decade - the 80s; I know the day - Friday; I know the time - 5:30; I know the season - winter. I know the time and day because I was meeting my husband, a University Professor, after he left school, at the house of friends for a drink before going out for dinner.
It had to be winter because it was already dark. I took back streets to avoid stop lights, had stopped at a two-way stop and, because there were no other cars in sight, was preparing to cross the intersection when all at once shining above me was a bright, bright white light, not a searchlight type beam, but a hovering object with light diffused all around and about, seeming to come from within. It could not have been more than 30 feet above me and made no sound at all.
I was so startled that I couldn't take note of any particulars. It just radiated light. I couldn't move, but after no more than a minute, the light rose straight up to a great height and sped away in a north westerly direction, very straight and purposeful, very rapid.
I followed it with my eyes and headed in the same direction in my car but it was moving much too rapidly and I couldn't of course follow a straight course. When it was just a speck of far-away light, a shower of sparks fell from it and it was gone. When I got to the home of our friends, I told them my story and then called the police to ask if anyone had reported an unknown object in the sky.
No one had. I can't imagine that I was the only one who saw it. Perhaps there were those who wondered at it but didn't report it, or perhaps those seeing something streaking across the sky didn't think it unusual.
I probably would have been among any of those except that I had seen that object rise from just above me before it sped away. I had no idea what to do with such information and, too, didn't want to be among those being laughed at for telling outlandish stories about flying saucers. So - I filed it away in my memory bank and thought of it seldom until I saw the Jennings program the other night.
This inexact description of events of that evening probably does not advance knowledge re UFOs at all but at least and at last I've told it. I am a feet-on-the-ground sort of person; never before had I experienced something of that kind, nor have I since. ((NUFORC Note: Date is approximate.
We have assigned an arbitrary date above. PD)).

1/2 hour durati -------Original Message------- From: ((name deleted)) Date: Thursday, October 16, 2003 10:40:32 AM To: ((name deleted)) Subject: Emailing: ufo3 That's almost exactly my recollection, and it's interesting that I can't recall anything about the rest of the trip to Auburn, although I know we eventually got there. I remember the lights more than anything. The only thing you left out from my recollection was that you suddenly yelled that the craft had gone straight up almost instantly while it was still at a great distance, and when I looked up, it was much higher over the horizon.
I've always wondered to this day why I can't reconstruct an image in my mind of exactly what shape the object was, because it went almost directly over our heads at a low altitude. Oddly enough, I've been thinking about this incident a lot lately, but I don't know why. The only shape I remember was triangular.
I wish I could go back to that instant and see it again. I firmly believe that UFO's are a reality, although I wonder why so many reliable sightings describe so many different sizes and shapes of these craft. If you ever remember anything else about that night, let me know.
It's always gnawed at me. Love, ((name deleted)) ----- Original Message ----- From: ((name deleted)) To: ((name deleted)) Cc: ((name deleted)) Sent: Thursday, October 16, 2003 9:30 AM Subject: Emailing: ((deleted)) Dear ((name deleted)), I don't know why I feel so strongly about writing this down. I guess I want to know more about what I don't know, and I believe that desire is healthy.
The amount of time I spend thinking about the "U.F.O.
phenomena; however, well, it might be time spent better doing something else.but I digress. I have read some references made to a U.
F.O. "flap" which occurred in the southeastern United States circa 1974-1975 and in fact I remember reading in the Montgomery Advertiser at that time some articles mentioning some U.
F.O. sightings.
What did we see that night.was it September of 1974.on our way to Auburn? As I remember, we were going up there to a "concert".
a band that a friend of yours was in maybe? What I remember is this.We were on I-85 heading to Auburn from Montgomery and it seemed as if it were around 8:00 P.M.
when we left Mom and Dad's. It seems as if we were about half way to Auburn when I first noticed a bright white "star-like/planet Venus-like light appearing many miles ahead of us on the right side of the interstate. I had been looking at it and initially thought it was Venus.
I remember asking you to look at it and I remember even joking about wouldn't it be cool if it were a UFO but I didn't believe it was anything other than a planet or a star when I first saw it. That is until I / we noticed it moving.crossing over the interstate and coming toward us.
I remember seeing the object changing colors and intensity from bright white, to a dimmer white, to a medium intensity red and back to white again 2 or 3 times. The colors seemed to alternate in time from 10 to 30 seconds. I remember the object crossing back over the interstate to our side continuing straight toward us.
I remember one or both of us saying that the object wasn't any star or planet. I remember the object seemed to cross back over to our left and us pulling off to the shoulder of the interstate. I remember we got out of the car, was it Dad's old Galaxy 500? It seemed as if we sort of just leaned against the car waiting for this thing approaching us.
I remember being very excited at seeing something neither of us had ever seen before but I don't remember being at all afraid. I know I had no doubt that you wouldn't let anything happen to me.not without one hell of a fight anyway.
When it passed overhead it seemed to be over the middle of the interstate.maybe 500 feet up. My recollection of what exactly this thing looked like seems hazy or maybe it's because I had never before or since seen anything that looked like "it" ! looked.
It seemed to me to be somewhat of an elongated "sewing-thread spool" with the flat ends oriented to the top and bottom of the "craft". I had the distinct impression there was an inside and an outside dimension to this "thing" because it looked as if there were a "triangular-shaped 'window' or translucent 'something' giving me the distinct impression of looking into the "craft". I remember thinking the interior was illuminated by red light but that there was some white light or lights on the exterior of this "thing".
It did not make a sound. It seemed to be moving 30 to 40 m.p.
h. How big was it? Maybe 10 times bigger than our car.I can't really get a good grasp of it's size.
I remember we watched it continue on it's way seemingly following the interstate. I don't remember it disappearing. I remember getting back in the car and continuing on our way and I remember wanting to turn around and try to catch back up to it.
It seems as if we did turn around at an exit but for some reason I'm not sure if it was the first exit we passed or an exit further on. I believe we did turn around and head back towards Montgomery. I believe we drove most of the way back to Montgomery but when we didn't see "it" again, we turned back toward Auburn.
I don't remember anything more of that night clearly. I seem to remember standing in your dorm and relating our experience of the evening to a friend of yours. Nothing else.
Well, there, my recollection is put into writing. I think it odd that I haven't written this down before now. I absolutely don't care one wit of what anybody thinks of me recounting this event.
I believe we saw a "craft" under intelligent control that night but I don't know that it was extraterrestrial. I do know that it was something outside of any other experience I've ever had. I hope I have another experience like it again.
I love you ((name deleted)). I'm glad I was with you that night. Love,.
