Orb making 90 degree turns and darting around the sky very fast during meteor shower. Looked very different from meteors. The orb appeared moving parallel to the horizon line-perpendicular to the meteor shower that is.

It was moving across the sky very quickly making 90 degree turns and large circles. At one point it vanished for a moment and then reappeared in a completely different section of the sky. My best friend and I observed this on our way back to new york from boston.

I was out walking my dog on 9/1/19 around 10 pm. Orange colored ball in the sky traveling west southwest. At first thought it was a plane but plane’s lights blink.

This was not blinking. Then the object appeared to stop. I thought if it was a plane perhaps it was flying towards me, hence why it would appear to gave stopped.

Suddenly it drop in the sky then did a sharp left and stopped again. Then dropped again and stopped. Then shot left again.

Rhombus shape craft with odd colored lights, seen east bound on the Mass Pike near 84. I was driving east bound on the mass pike, maybe half a mile before mile marker 71, as you're cresting the top of a hill about to go down into a valley. I saw weird looking object, as what appeared to have a rhombus shape.

With 2 inner circles that were emulating a whitish tan color. It also had blue lights at the top and bottom, and teal lights on the side (which appeared to be lighting the circles I spoke of. possibly).

It also had 2 bight white flashing/pulsating lights in the middle. I've included a quick drawing, https://i.imgur.

com/chiUAqR.png the 2 inner pulsating lights i just spoke of aren't shown. But there would be in the very middle between to the circles.

The reason it caught my eye so much is the rapid speed it was moving in the horizon (right to left going east bound, so I would assume/guess north to south). I was going about 70MPH, and traveled only about .5 miles before it had traveled across my field of view.

I was able to get down to the valley floor on the pike(about 3-5 miles away from where i made visual.) And looked to my right (south?), and I could still see its flashing lights off in the distance. I dont know what it was, my only two guesses where either a low flying twin prop plane, or a low flying Chinook (since its dual propeller, which could explain the 2 circles i saw).

Having seen these two possibilities many times in night and day, neither really satisfied me as an explanation. However, both could appear as fast moving if they where close to the ground. It just seemed faster than that though.

I have a decent knowledge of US military aircraft and civilian aircraft. To which I am just dumbfounded by what I saw, as I cant explain it.

Not sure what it was but the sky is crystal clear and you can see so many stars. but then off to the distance lower in the sky this thick bolt of light flashed in the sky. it was almost like a massively thick lighting bolt.

went in the trees in the distance. so crazy weird. it was bright.

Bright, glowing, sometimes stationary objects in the Sturbridge sky! For years I have observed this object(s) in the night sky on the horizon. I have a few acres and no trees blocking the night sky. I usually see this bright, glowing round object close to the horizon in any direction on any given night.

The object will be very bright, then more dull. move in one direction, then back the other way go up and then descend below the horizon. It seems to be very bright when going back upward.

When the object is close, but never overhead.it is silent. No noise is heard in the sky.

Sometimes, there are multiple objects at once, usually one or more coming upward while one is in the sky just sitting there. No distinct colors. I have been unsuccessful in photographing them so far.

It shot up into the sky and was gone in seconds. I'm a 17 year old kid with fairly ok grades and who is much more itelegent then they reflecf. I have always seen stuff through teloscopes, and i have always looked at the skys.

I have always told people what they see if a airplane, or a planet or stars. But every once in a while i see something i can't explain. Like January 6 2007.

I never said anything on this site because i just found it today. On this day in question i saw a flying object about afew hundred feet in the sky. It was round and seemed to be bigger then a plane, had red and purple lights, and it seemed to be giving or something because i got a headach looking at it.

I watched it go back and froth in the sky(like it was looking for something) for 15-20minutes. I was amazed. Finally after that time it shot up into the atospehere out of site in seconds.

Explain that as a aircarft and I'll call you as liar because not even i could explain it. ((NUFORC Note: Student report. PD)).

Cylinder of Light in the Night Skies. While driving WEST on Route 84 @ the Massachusetts & Conneticut border, it was a rainy evening, but it had subsided and there was quite a bit of ground fog. I kept thinking I was seeing a reflection of light in the fog on the left hand side of my front windshield.

I asked my passenger if he saw that light up ahead and if he could see where it was coming from. At first we both thought it was one of those giant spotlights that business' shine into the sky to attract customers. But then as we kept watching it we realized it wasn't moving around at all.

It was like a cylinder of light coming from nowhere. It didn't shine all the way to the ground, and it didn't go all the way up high into the sky. We pulled over and turned off all the lights in the car and just watched it for about 10minutes.

It stayed right where it was, this perfect up & down cylinder of light, that was so bright.there were a lot of dark clouds up there and tons of fog.we could not figure out where that light was coming from.

Maybe a plane?? Well, it hasn't moved in 15minutes, it's not going forward & back /in & out either in the cloud cover. It was just THERE, UP AND DOWN. So we decided to try to follow towards it and see if we could find where it was coming from, we drove about 8 miles towards it and it slowly just began to fade away.

It was like, "there it is!! Wait! It's fading away.I can barely see it.it's gone.

" I don't know what it was but it was crazy and nothing like the two of us had EVER seen before. After we turned back around to drive home we saw a plane in the sky straight up and ahead of us, we looked immediately for any similarities to what we had just seen and there were NONE. Just as we both agreed on that, the plane was gone from our sight, not even two minutes after we first saw it.

There was no way the cylinder of up/down light that we saw could've been an airplane, we studied it in the same spot for almost 40minutes, and it wasn’t like it faded or disappeared into the clouds, the light just slowly faded. In your characteristics of objects section I checked that there was an aura or haze around the object, this does refer to the reflection of the light onto the clouds and fog, we did not see any specific "object".

crazy purple light dropped. 3 multi colored light triangular SUPERSIZE object It was the other night. My brother, my friend, and I were all outside having a cigarette.

I looked up to the sky and saw all these lights. We continued to look and to our amazement the objects were sometimes close above us and then would disappear. There were several trinagular objects that we got all on camera.

These were clearly not airplanes or satellites. There appeared to be a glowing ball of light that was dropped from one of the UFOs. It made it halfway to the ground and disappeared behind the trees.

We got some amazing footage of the event. It continued for 2 hours. Each minute going by, more and more objects began to appear.

Unidentified Objects sighted in local town! Neighbors were smoking and saw strange looking lights in the sky and started filming. 4 different unidentified flying objects circling the sky. The objects had many different shapes.

They would change into another shape as they flew around the nights sky. A couple of the objects even dropped something from the sky which fell to the ground nearby. This whole sighting was caught on tape for the entire duration to prove it.

Each object had many lights surrounding it always changing colors and flashing. ((NUFORC Note: We wonder whether advertising lights might have been the cause of the sighting. PD)).
